### "A must-have for every e-commerce business"

July 19, 2023

5.0

In conclusion, Netsuite is an essential ERP system that has proven its functionality and value over time. I am satisfied with its work I am working towards using the software at its fullest potential.

Pros

Netsuite is a very broad software that offers a lot of information about many aspect of the business. It provide it very clear and neat all the information in the form of reports that can be downloaded and customised. Using Netsuite is quite easy as long as you learn where to look for the exact information. It also updates constantly the stock levels which provides a clear overview at any given moment of the business.

Cons

One drawback is that it does not always provide payment methods for certain marketplaces. Another drawback I believe is the various amount of account types which makes it confusing which account serves for what and forces people to switch accounts multiple times a day.

### "NetSuite masters our financials and inventory across the board"

May 23, 2023

5.0

Currently, we use NetSuite in all areas of our organization which are finance, inventory, ordering, production, marketing and sales, plus the e-commerce website. I like that everything is integrated and the reports are updated in real time and the dashboard indicators have been a great help in decision making. The dashboard reminders are a great help for me to monitor everything that is going on (or not going well) in our organization. For problem solving, it's simpler with NetSuite. The cloud-based solution has saved me a lot of time without having to sustain servers, workstations or computers. Adding users or workstations only requires Internet access.

Pros

Most of the items we make are combinations of other items we own and it effectively handles them during all phases, using different unit types and updates for stock tracking. The way stock is allocated to these products is very accurate. All components work optimally and there is no need to update any component to get accurate information. It started out as a finance package, so I think that remains the main virtue of the software.

Cons

A simple POS store option should be feasible to use without purchasing an additional expensive component that is designed for companies with multiple branches. The ordering system could be simplified by adding a "Print or Invoice" button to the order completion screen. Archived searches and customized reports could be useful for those who are not computer or programming savvy.

### "Very comprehensive accounting functionality and a pretty rounded ERP. "

April 17, 2024

5.0

In general I love Netsuite and how flexible it is for addressing the needs of the vast majority of customers.

Pros

How easy it is to customize without need for expensive resources and the vast majority of the accounting functionality works out of the box.

Cons

Whilst it’s good to see new functionality delivered with every release, more effort should be made to address existing enhancement requests, some of which have been open for more than a decade.

### "NetSuite Provides the Ability to see Metrics throughout your Company"

November 9, 2021

4.0

Working with most staff at NetSuite is easy and they are helpful. I would highly recommend the Advanced Customer Service (ACS) option as an addition to your contract. This provides a set number of hours with a dedicated professional service team that helps move your business forward using NetSuite. Using ACS allows a smaller to mid-size company to operate without a NetSuite developer.

Pros

NetSuite provides crucial insight into nearly every aspect of our business. The ability to combine staff data with resource data and connect it to audited financials is unparalleled. NetSuite provides the reporting abilities that allow decisions with clear data points attached. Having everything in one place, all tied to audited financials, provides key metrics and insights.

Cons

In the end, NetSuite is an accounting system and that sometimes buts up against how users think the system should be set up. However, because everything is tied to financials there is no lingering questions that the data is correct.

Reason for choosing NetSuite

NetSuite is an accounting systems, however it has the ability to grow beyond that much more than similar sized and priced system. NetSuite was chosen not for the immediate needs of the company, but with the long term vision that it would serve as our end-to-end system and business processes.

### "Oracle NetSuite for Finance Team"

March 22, 2024

5.0

Pros

I would like to dive straight into the pros as given below: 1- It does allow us to automate almost everything in Netsuite using Scripts and workflow. 2- Easy to set up custom fields based on your tracking requirements. 3- Tax reporting is a lot easier now and if you are in Australia now you can ANZ localization for PTRS reporting. 4- Integrate with most of the systems you for most of the accounting function such as Accounts payable, AR, Fixed Assets, Bank Recs, Bank payment files, Sales and purchase orders and tax authorities. We have moved from another software which is used for small companies but since we have moved to Netsuite we are loving it and will keep on using it now.

Cons

I don't think there is anything I don't like about Netsuite as it is very user-friendly and does allow you to integrate with almost everything.

### "NetSuite"

January 21, 2023

5.0

Pros

NetSuite has so many capabilities and you need the right implementation partner to truly capitalize on functionality.

Cons

NetSuite added functionality around the bank reconciliations and revenue recognition that was unnecessary. When you have huge reports, NetSuite exports to outdated versions of Excel and limits reports to 10,000 lines. They also have their contract clause about only being able to have 200,000 monthly transactions. If you exceed this amount, the next Tier upgrade is 2,000,000 and they try to force the customer into upgrading.

### "Great eCommerce system highly integrated with backend ERP and CRM"

September 8, 2021

4.0

We were able to grow and scale our business up to improve our internal processes. Ability to convert support Cases into Quotes and then in turn convert those Quotes into Orders was huge for us. It allows to track the conversion of our quotes into orders. Provide better response times and organize our quoting and order entry processes. Improved SEO tools for online store.

Pros

Great deal of features. Ability to customize your system to accommodate practically any type of business process. Seamless Integration between eCommerce, CRM and ERP systems, all-in-one data storage. Easy to integrate with third party NetSuite modules for variety of ecommerce channels - Amazon, etc. Security. Cloud Computing Model.

Cons

Suite Commerce Advanced vs NetSuite version compatibility. Once you selected certain SCA implementation of the online store and once you invested into modifications of this particular version you are locked in this version. It doesnt have the same software update cycle as NetSuite ERP and CRM. That results in two disadvantages - first, the web store becomes eventually outdated and second, with each upgrade of the NetSuite we have to go through extensive testing to make sure that compatibility between New Back End ERP and CRM and Old Online Store has not been broken.

### "Extremely Deceptive Practices - No Accountability"

October 7, 2023

4.0

Netsuite is a good product, harder to learn, but they are a very deceptive organization and nobody stays long enough to be accountable when things go wrong. They told us what platform size we fit in and then doubled the price on us after the first year saying we were using too much data. They actually showed us a chart that we were using double the allowed data on month one -- they sold us the wrong level. If they had told us we were in the higher priced category we NEVER would have migrated over. We were stuck with them an additional year to allow us time to integrate to another platform. Buyer Beware!

Pros

The product is good, no problem with that. They lied to get us to integrate and it cost us thousands upon thousands of dollars and tons of time.

Reason for choosing NetSuite

We thought they had a good name and we could grow with them. Their staff is constantly turning over. You get passed off to new representatives. When things went wrong, they all just pointed at each other and said I'm new, I wasn't here when that happened. They doubled our cost after one year and a superviser was put on a meeting who stated that we were being a "bad neighbor" by using too much data. We used the amount of data we started with. We sent them our data. They calculated the size wrong and made us pay tons of money to integrate and then said we had to go to the next level after we finally launched with their product. Our annual cost was going to be double. It was a lot to bite off. Then they doubled that price after year one. It took as another year to migrate to another platform. It was a very, very expensive nightmare and nobody at Netsuite cared.

### "So many features in one software!"

February 14, 2023

4.0

Overall, I love using Netsuite for our business. We’ve seen great success and love having everything on one platform. It shows great analytics, helps with inventory management, and improves communication issues within the organization.

Pros

I really love how this software has so many features under one roof. It helps run our business in so many aspects and we are able to connect the whole company via Netsuite. It does have some minor issues like lag time, website errors, and connections, but nothing that would keep me from using the software!

Cons

I think that response time could definitely be improved. The load time on placing orders can take up to 30 seconds and sometimes that just is too long. Integrations can cause some problems for business but customer service has always helped.

### "WOW So Easy to Use"

October 4, 2022

4.0

Overall our launch of NetSuite went off easily. The only issue we are having is our people having a fall back system. Also the head of our team, did not physically review workflows with our team to establish some commonalities for consistency working.

Pros

The software is very easy to use. When you want to do something, follow the logical path which NetSuite uses to help. I compare it to using a cell phone. Just pick it up and start using it.

Cons

So far, I like all the software. The thing I like the least is allowing our people to have a fall back available. But if I had to comment on what I do not like, it is the reporting. It takes a lot of learning to quickly build reports.

### "Too Complicated for Daily Use"

July 9, 2015

2.0

Netsuite was chosen by our company around 9 months ago and has been in use since January 2015. Implementation was long process and was expensive. Costs include the purchase of main licence, an expensive per-person licence, paying a consulting firm to run the implementation project and having a dedicated in-house employee as "admin" to support the other users. Netsuite has brought some great changes to our company and improved our record keeping hugely. It has also brought transparency to many of the processes and highlighted bottlenecks. There are many downsides however, we have run into a plethora of technical problems with logic and programming along the way, while error messages abound (much to the annoyance and over-work of the consultant's team). All of the glitches have been worked out and customer service from the NS themselves has been extremely fast and professional. Adding to the downsides, Netsuite is probably the LEAST intuitive system I have used since the 90s. It really seems like it is stuck in the past. There are hardly any icons, no drag and drop and navigation is inconsistent. Additionally, as a general manager, I need to extract information and data quickly and easily, but I cannot. Every time I want to extract data I have to go to our in-house admin for her to "write a search" in a logic/language that took her months to learn. Nobody else has time to learn that, so nobody else can do it. To my knowledge, NS has poor graphing capabilities and is very rigid in that I cannot easily change the way data is displayed once it is graphed. Usually, if I want data and I have not got time to wait for the admin to write the search pattern for me, I just export a large amount of data with a predefined/standard search and filter it and graph it with Excel - but this always begs the question, why are we paying through the nose for a program (NS) that is so difficult to use that it forces me to use another program (Excel) to make up for its inadequacies? I could go on with the downsides of how unusable it is from a manger's point of view - there is a lot to say, but I think you get the picture. The biggest downfall of Netsuite for me is that it is so hard to use that staff really do not want to use it. This is particularly evident in the sales department. They will only really use it for what they really have to use it for: making quotes, so we lose out. Customer data does not get sufficiently recorded, project details are lacking, contacts are hard to look up, customer account history is never recorded (we can't even find the field to put that in). Other systems we used before, e.g. Zoho CRM, Pipedrive and even Excel, are easy to use and therefore get used by the staff. A system such as Netsuite might have a beautifully coded backend, but if it discourages use through extreme user-unfriendliness, it becomes an almost useless system.

Pros

Solid back end Keeps excellent and accurate records that are easily audited Brings transparency to processes

Cons

Too difficult to use and therefore staff refrain from using it for all but the most essential tasks Requires an in-house expert to help run the system Requires months of repeated training to get staff up to speed Poor for tracking customer account history Extremely difficult to extract and graph the data that you need from it Rigid and hard to change display and parameters of any data displays Very expensive

### "Extremely robust and customizable, yet archaic, poor interface, and too expensive."

June 6, 2020

4.0

Pros

The ability to customize just about anything your organization wants is rewarding. And if you are willing to spend, you can have your system fit your business processes like a glove. Integration apps, along with native functionality of workflows can put your business in a “semi-autopilot mode.” Practically limitless reporting capabilities. You can manage almost every aspect of the your organization while enforcing internal controls and monitoring employees with full visibility. I would recommend for enterprises with no less than 8M in sales and with at least 8 or more users to leverage the full functionality of this role-based system. Netsuite is built to fit the needs of each role within your organization, from the sales rep and warehouse manager to the A/R clerk and controller.

Cons

Nasty corporate culture. No accountability for system issues, error, or outages. Sneaky contracts that will hook you with discounts and raise fees exorbitantly after your are stuck with your data and huge conversion costs. Nightmarish implementation that Netsuite outsources to foreign “professional” services that know pretty much the same as you would do from the get go. They barely speak English—incorrect setup caused us much lost revenues and frustrated, burned-out employees. Never believe Netsuite reps who say implementation can be done in 3 months. Be prepared to spend a hundreds of hours to understand the software - it is not always intuitive. Plan comprehensive employee training. You will most likelly need a full time administrator to support users due to the high learning curve. As a retail and distribution company that grew out of Quick Books Desktop, Netsuite was apparently the the next solution. Although I still believe the software has much to offer, user interface is about 10 years behind time. My dream is that super user-friendly QuickBooks Online launches an Enterprise version one day.

Reason for choosing NetSuite

Netsuite was apparently a more established solution with a wide portifolio of integrations available. Pricing was in the lower range when compared to SAP or Dynamics 365. However, the costs are way above the initial quote. Be expected for sharp increases and relevant costs related to implementation, integration, and development. Definitely not for a small business with budgetary constraints.

### "Love to hate it."

February 25, 2021

4.0

We have been able to speed up and automate a lot of processes with our customizations, on top of what Netsuite includes and with new modules we have developed within Netsuite that integrate with the rest of them. Our instance is a monster now, and we've done it quickly and efficiently thanks to the API.

Pros

Might be biased, since I'm a developer, but the ability to customize the software's functionality and create entirely new modules with a widely used programming language as javascript is really good and something we have taken advantage of, like a lot. Documentation has its flaws but is helpful most times. The learning curve is a bit steep, but nothing that can't be overcome.

Cons

I hate the reporting functionality, avoid it if I can. Might be that I don't really understand its uses. I'd rather do saved searches. Some changes are made that are not included in release notes or in between releases that affect how our customizations work. Also, too many unexpected error messages and error messages that misrepresent the actual problem. These force us to google for answers.

### "Lots of Potential for Large Businesses, but Not a Good Fit for Small Businesses"

May 9, 2022

3.0

For small businesses, I would not recommend Netsuite. The licensing is very expensive, and you ideally need a certified Netsuite professional on staff in order to utilize the software to its full potential. The customer service experience was also lacking, but that tends to be ubiquitous across most platforms of this genre. For big businesses that can dedicate staff to the maintenance and configuration of the application, there are endless possibilities, and you are likely to find everything you need all in one software bundle. For everyone else, however, I would suggest a more economical option.

Pros

Netsuite has seemingly endless business uses and integrations, and can perform a wide variety of tasks from basic accounting to project management. The system itself is very customizable to meet your specific business needs, with a variety of different service add-ons available for and additional fees. When used correctly, Netsuite can potentially be a one-stop shop for all of your primary business functions, and is adjustable to accommodate virtually every user role possible.

Cons

Netsuite is very expensive, even for its basic feature package. The licensing fees increase each year automatically, and there is little room to negotiate with your account manager. In my experience, customer service has been less than satisfactory, and you are constantly tossed back and forth between departments whenever there is an issue. The customization process for the application is also extremely complex, so if you do not participate in formal training program for the software, you may have a difficult time setting up your desired features.

Alternatives considered

### "After you climb a steep learning curve, NetSuite is incredibly powerful."

January 9, 2018

5.0

We were able to have a single source of truth for our customer, vendor lists, for inventory, and for financials. Once our system was implemented, gaps analyzed and filled, and users trained, NetSuite has been an effective platform for our business.

Pros

NetSuite is an extremely powerful and inclusive package of applications that are extremely well-integrated. For SMBs who've outgrown Quickbooks or other "smaller" accounting packages, it's a major improvement. For manufacturing concerns looking to gain more traction and control over their processes, it is far beyond what lower-priced ERP systems provide. Again, it us a major improvement. NetSuite is extremely extensible through external interfaces, 3rd party add-ons, internal scripting and through customizations. Implemented correctly, it is relatively fast, and with its browser-based interface, there are no client issues and never any need for IT to upgrade a client version on every workstation because a new feature-set has been implemented. It's CRM is adequate, useful, and given NetSuite's signature internal integration, it is easy to implement an effective lead-to-cash system. The ecosystem also has multiple vendors who sell integration services, for example, there are a number of SalesForce to Netsuite integration partners who can (relatively) quickly connect the two systems. On the backside, the same is true of many popular shipping, warehouse management and other packages. Or, you can roll your own JSON connectivity.

Cons

NetSuite is not easily deployed, and requires expertise to get things mostly right the first time. They address this in their ecosystem by encouraging customers to work with NetSuite partners -- VAR firms that have undergone certifications -- to deploy the system. There is a steep learning curve, even for system analysts familiar with other ERP, CRM and web commerce platforms. There is a saying in the NetSuite community that is very true: "you can do anything with NetSuite, but it is going to cost you." Those costs may be development hours for internal developers, fees paid to partners, license costs for addons and integrations, etc. etc. Count on it with any major NS effort. NetSuite is usually quite reliable, but it can and will "get slow" from time to time, and there are infrequent outages that can last a few minutes to an hour or more. These never come at a good time (is there ever a good time?) and getting information regarding status of repairs can be frustrating. Free advice: vett your NetSuite partner carefully, and make sure that they can and will provide effective ongoing support. Some firms are better than others at this, and it is a good question to ask references before you hire anyone. Plan on your implementation taking longer than you expect. This is true with most ERP implementations, NetSuite included. Support from the company itself can be an exercise in frustration, but persistence and insistence can really help.

### "Netsuite Experience - It's nice to have all your info in one place"

August 26, 2019

3.0

Overall, I do like Netsuite. There are moments that it is frustrating, but I love that we have most of our information in 1 system. It makes it so much easier when you have multiple stores and websites. We have had some features we have added on through other vendors, but for the most part, our employees can find what they need by looking in our Netsuite system, without having to look in multiple products. That convenience is worth a lot to me.

Pros

I like that everything is in one location. We aren't having to export all of our inventory to a separate system, in order to have a website. It makes it so much easier for all of our employees, rather that having to log into multiple systems, to get real time information about inventory, orders, etc.

Cons

The product that we use for our website, SiteBuilder, is really in need of updates. My understanding, is that a lot of customers are still using this, but it is considered "deprecated", so it no longer gets updates. The problem is, that the other website platforms that you can upgrade to within Netsuite, are very difficult to customize. We have been told that the new "midrange product", really can't be customized at all. Suite Commerce Advanced, the top level product, would solve some of the issues we have with SiteBuilder, however, it is EXTREMELY expensive. Just the implementation costs are huge, but everyone we talked to when considering switching to the product, said that there isn't a real upgrade path. As new versions come out, you really have to re-implement your website. Since it is supposedly difficult to modify on your own, that means more implementation costs as new versions come out. Because of this, we have opted to stay with SiteBuilder, and work with 3rd party vendors, to try to get us some of the features that SiteBuilder is lacking. Although we do run into issues, overall, this has been working for us, and allowing us to keep everything in one system, which is very important to us.

Reason for choosing NetSuite

To have everything for our stores and site, contained in one system.

### "Small Company Review of Netsuite.. best decision we made "

November 21, 2022

4.0

Pros

We absolutely love, love the connection we get with every single department with in our company. Our workflow from sales to collection is all on one platform....streamlined our systems. Before Netsuite, our workflow was fragmented unto several reporting systems, crm, accounting and service. We havesaved so much money, time and made us so much more efficient that our growth has been exponential.

Cons

The only piece we have yet to use is the marketing with Netsuite. Our website is also connected to Netsuite. The two are not the easiest to workflow through so much so that we have to use an outside source for ourcampaigns and seo.

### "New User of NetSuite"

August 25, 2023

4.0

Our business has had a very positive experience with the implementation of NetSuite. One of the Finance Teams main KPI's is to be able to deliver month end board pack with in 5 business days which we are now able to consistently achieve.

Pros

NetSuite is a very easy program to use, the work flow is very intuitive and we have been able to integrate it to other systems we have already had in place. The amount and variety of training offered to us pre and post go live is beyond any platform I have used in the past. I believe there is great benefit in the focus on best practice and not customising every aspect of the software. We used the NetSuite team for our implementation and Sen and the team were excellent to deal with. They listened to our concerns and came up with solutions. By encouraging us to learn how to use the system ad how to use the learning resource available we are able to make small improvements and changes to our system with out having to engage a consultant, saving our business time and money.

Cons

NetSuite comes with a wide variety of module addons. There is not a clear map of what these are. If we were more aware of these we could have added additional modules at implementation.

Reason for choosing NetSuite

Other companies just quoted us a standard fee with out getting to know and understand out business. NetSuite Sales team first got to know our business and tailed a solution around what we did and what we wanted the product to do. We then felt the proposal they put together had true value. The sales team was very informative on the implementation process and the volume of hours that would be require by our team to facilitate a smooth go live process.

### "Pros and Cons - Don't fall for their sale pitch"

June 23, 2020

4.0

\- The implementation has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. The sales team pushes for a sale that does not include all the client's needs, resulting in the need for change orders which causes delays. -The implementation team is friendly and proactive but inexperienced/ with little supervision - I can tell they are working hard to find solutions for me, but they seem to be scrambling to figure things out without proper help/ and experienced person in the team. - They have a tendency to promise things they are not able to deliver - for example, they sold me a 3-way match solution that they were not able to deliver it. Their excuse is that it wasn't working because of the partial receipt feature we need. Still, to me it is a very serious issue if they are selling things they can't deliver. - Lastly, as it relates to reviews that you can't customize NetSuites, the truth is, you might be able to, but it will most likely be out of your scope. Although the change order may not be extremely pricey, the delays on the project may be extensive. And I'm not talking about 'unique customization' - I would think blanket POs/ partial receipts, 3-way match would be included in the original sales of a client that made extremely clear that the Procure to Pay module was the most important module to them.

Pros

\- The software allows for some visual customization of the home page based on each role that is easy to do without the help of a programmer. For example, customize the views for each roles, set up alerts, etc. - The search bar within the software works extremely well, which makes it easier to navigate; - The use of the software is intuitive and easy to follow/ learn; - The SuiteAnswers articles are very helpful in answering questions/ showing how to do anything one may need in the system.

Cons

Before selecting this software, I read several reviews saying the biggest issue was the how difficult it was to customize the software. Here are some actual examples: 1. If you want a new field (which they call segment) to be tracked for reporting purposes, you need to create a costume segment, which wont be part of the basic product the sales team sells to you. Also, just found out that it can not created as a mandatory field. 2. All NetSuite modules are standard/ out of the box. Even though we emphasized that Procure to Pay was the absolutely most important module to us, the sales team pushed the basic procure to pay module, which did not include Blanket POs or 3-way match. The thing is the sales team pushes the basic solutions to close the sale, but then later you are stuck having to process change orders, which although are not very expensive, each take about 2 weeks to process, delaying the project. 3. After delaying our project to include 3-way match and blanket POs (2-week delay), the implementation issues begun. It turns out that the 3-way match that they sold to us does NOT work. What the system was able to do is a 2-way match. Also, the system does not allow for an approval flow for releases of blanked POs. Lastly, the costume segment can not be a mandatory field as it doesn't work on blanket PO releases. In Summary - The sales team will push their most simple out of the box version, upgrades result in delays.

### "Good ERP for Medium-sized Businesses"

November 15, 2022

4.0

Our company switched to NetSuite from using QuickBooks for years. NetSuite is a much more robust software, and what drew us to it was the reporting capability. So far, after 18 months using the product, it's been a challenge to extract the reporting we were sold on. It seems like a classic disconnect between the sales rep and the technical team and/or actual execution. Or, maybe our expectations were just too high.

Pros

NetSuite keeps track of our accounting activity well. As NetSuite will tell you, they were built with Finance as their first priority. The software is a single source of truth for the majority of our business activity.

Cons

There's a steep learning curve for getting the most out of the software, specifically around reporting. And there is literally no support from the NetSuite team unless you pay big quarterly fees for their Advanced Customer Support on top of the regular software costs. It seems like the NetSuite team would want you to be equipped to properly use the full functionality of the software, but they don't seem incentivized to proactively educate and/or support their clients. This is not to say competitors will do any better. In fact, I believe NetSuite offers the most value as an ERP to medium-sized businesses.

### "One of the cloud accounting software automates for Business Owner"

March 8, 2023

4.0

My overall experience with NetSuite has been very positive. The platform is easy to use and understand, and the user interface is straightforward and intuitive. The features are comprehensive and allow for a wide range of customization and automation.

Pros

I liked the fact that NetSuite is an all-in-one business management suite that is designed to help businesses streamline their processes and manage their data in a more efficient manner. It is packed with features such as financials, inventory, and ecommerce, making it a great tool for businesses of all sizes. Additionally, the system is cloud-based, meaning it can be accessed anytime, anywhere, making it ideal for businesses that need to keep their data up-to-date.

Cons

One of the things I liked least about NetSuite was its lack of customization options. While the software includes many features and capabilities, it can be difficult to customize the system to meet specific business needs.

Reason for choosing NetSuite

I chose NetSuite over the alternatives because it offers a comprehensive suite of cloud-based business management applications that are designed to help organizations of all sizes streamline their operations, increase efficiency, and make better decisions.

### "Overrated and overpriced, not user friendly, raises price 10% each year"

February 11, 2022

2.0

Just read above. This software is overpriced trash. I haven't heard good things about their competitors either, but I would rule out NetSuite if an implementation was tasked to me. I get frustrated with this software at least once a day, even after all these years. The lack of common sense and easy to implement things is everywhere in this software. The UI requires clicks through to many pages to accomplish a simple task. I cannot discourage companies enough not to choose NetSuite.

Pros

It's in the cloud and there are a lot of third party integrations that facilitate its usage and remedy some shortcomings.

Cons

This software is not easy to use. Creating a report or saved search takes an expert level knowledge to do and a lot of free time. Their how-tos and help guides are scattered and only show up non-relevant information. Access to a learning library requires purchasing licenses for each user at a cost of over 5 digits or more. First party add-on modules are NEVER fixed for bugs - things like sorting by name only sort the current page and not the entire population - report to NS and I hear crickets. DO NOT BUY FIRST PARTY MODULES - ONLY BUY THIRD PARTY MODULES THAT INTEGRATE WITH NETSUITE IF YOU MUST. Lastly, they will try to find a way to raise your price about 10% every year because they know the barriers to exit are too high.

Reason for choosing NetSuite

Both companies that I went to had poor implementations of NetSuite by previous teams that immediately put our current team behind the 8-ball. ACS (their first party consulting service) is good but extremely expensive, and with both companies we had no choice and went this route. NetSuite knows the math - you pay for ACS to make the product usable at a substantial cost, but they know for you to switch will incur heavier costs in dollars, and more importantly, employee time. They have 100% of the leverage, and will never fail to exercise/hoard it over you.

### "Great Expectations vs Reality"

July 28, 2022

4.0

Pros

There is an ease to using NetSuite that allows for cross training of employees. Working from the cloud instead of local server allows the company to offer the ability to work from anywhere as a benefit that was not fiscally available before switching.

Cons

Cost of additional services pushes some of the software functions out of the price range of small companies. I don't like having to get outside programs to make printing of shipping labels easier.

SAGE had not moved to the cloud and it was too cumbersome for our small business. The program was difficult to learn and training employees was a difficult task.
