### "Small Retail and Internet Businesses Beware"

September 28, 2022

1.0

On paper things looked good. Two years down the road and I am running the company by gut instinct and need to overview every order to make certain it is covered. Inventory is a mess. Projections are not available. And COGS are often zero. ACS is a ripoff- most jobs were not completed within a quarter- and we still have hours remaining. Job not done? Too bad. Use ACS for install only and then bite the bullet after the first year. Their hourly charges are ridiculous. I am uncertain if Netsuite even remotely cares about small accounts- this is an 80K program. And it is costing us approx 200K yearly including lost revenue due to inventory, additional staff, and lost productivity. Language has been an issue. Even our quote from netsuite for renewal has needed careful overview. Finally we were instructed by netsuite to hire an outside party to get the jobs done that someone else could do. At $145 per hour. Fingers crossed. Netsuite assumed zero responsibility for anything. So, if you are a small business that is growing and changing reasonably quickly I would strongly urge you to seek another program. The program has kept our company dead in the water. For at least 18 months. My experience with Dynamics, which also has difficulties, was better with high functionality within 12 months. Needless to say, we are signing the contract with Netsuite but will switch once it is expires and we are more prepared. They simply do not provide adequate service to smaller businesses.

Pros

I would assume it would be good if it worked. AS is the only functionality we have are additional integrations. Ones that cost 9K.

Cons

Customer service is pretty awful. Jobs simply were not done. It was similar to playing the game telephone. While our rep is sympathetic they have little or no power to do anything.

### "Long Term NetSuite User/Admin - Nothing Like It on the Market"

November 18, 2022

5.0

There's a reason I've been using the software for 13+ years. There's a reason I moved companies and took a job specifically involving NetSuite. There's definitely a reason I've been such a strong advocate of the software and its functionality.

Pros

The reporting and alerts are unlike anything else. The functionality is amazing and relatively easy to use with some training. Unlike most software options I've seen, there aren't many limitations about the kind of reporting you can create and how in-depth you can customize it.

Cons

Other than the very high pricing, there isn't much I dislike about NetSuite. We run into minor bugs and inconsistency in functionality every once and a while, but nothing that really causes much of an issue.

Reason for choosing NetSuite

Better functionality.

### "NetSuite SuiteCommerce is Powerful But Pricey"

March 3, 2022

5.0

We liked the interface and capabilities of SuiteCommerce, but we did not enjoy the costs associated with ownership. SuiteCommerce may have been too aggressive of a platform for where we were in terms of eCommerce presence and sales as we were trying to build it out. Other platforms may have been a better option in our case, but SuiteCommerce is probably a better fit for a company going all in on eCommerce and is ok with the up front spend to get it going.

Pros

SuiteCommerce offers all the features you need for a successful eCommerce implementation.

Cons

The price to purchase and implement, and the cost for 3rd party developers can add up very quickly. A proper assessment of ROI is needed to see if other options may be more viable.

Alternatives considered

### "NetSuite - Great ERP for mid-size/private companies "

March 6, 2019

4.0

NetSuite is great overall. We have reliable numbers and the ability to create a search or report to facilitate data analysis. We have been able to automate a lot of processes (expenses, amortization, sales tax) and the interface is generally user-friendly.

Pros

NetSuite is scalable. I've used NetSuite at a company that was doing $200M+ in revenue and a company that is at $60M in revenue. I also really enjoy that NetSuite can be almost completely customized to your industry and business. NetSuite provides for a lot of automation of processes that Quickbooks cannot handle. It is also a better source of record-keeping as everything is somewhat seamlessly connected. The batch upload of journal entries/transactions and upload in general is extremely useful and saves so much time. My previous company used the Fixed Asset Module which was great for record keeping and for systematically recording amortization on a monthly basis. This was also extremely useful to ensure that our policy was uploaded as the amortization rule set, reducing errors in the amount of amortization per asset. The ability to report on the total assets and have their history in one spot proved useful for our audit. Currently, we are implementing rules for 606 and the multi-book and ARM add-ons have proven very useful for our reporting purposes. I really enjoy NetSuite's use of rules for transactions as they can vary from company to company and item sku to item sku. I love the saved search function too! So much flexibility for creating reports helps us create reports for month-end reconciliation purposes.

Cons

SuiteAnswers has a terrible algorithm for their search bar. The system is also not as intuitive as others since the actual home screen itself is customized by role. We have also run into the need for an consultant/more technical administrator to provide working scripts for some of our reporting. People with NetSuite should not expect the system to do everything perfectly, sadly the call center is far less helpful than the US-based consultants at NetSuite. However, you can always escalate to your sales rep. Our solution is hosted and at times runs slower than I would prefer. I wonder if there is a way to increase the speed at which we can click through multiple cells or post a large amount of journal entries.

### "NetSuite in a Nutshell"

February 29, 2024

5.0

My overall experience with NetSuite has been positive. I find it to be a robust, user friendly ERP that allows for customization with powerful tools built in as well as many third party integrations and apps available.

Pros

I can honestly say that what I like the most about NetSuite is the ability to customize it to my needs. It works great out of the box, but as time change and department need information in various formats, NetSuite allows me the ability to create custom form, field, and records that I can tailor to directly meet my internal customer demands.

Cons

There is not too much that I do not like about NetSuite. I would have to say that I wish some of the default pages, such as Invoice or Order Approval, provided me a route to customize them.

### "Overall a great accounting software for medium-sized businesses"

November 22, 2022

4.0

Overall switching to NetSuite transformed our Finance team from data entry people to auditors. With most menial tasks automated or semi-automated, it freed up more time to audit our data and be more proactive with our accounting in general. Revenue management, which used to be a 100% manual, line-by-line nightmare, is now almost fully automated. Human errors were greatly reduced. Our sales opening process is almost fully automated thanks to the seamless Salesforce integration. Overall we are very satisfied with our switch.

Pros

The Revenue Management feature is amazing, a bit tricky to understand but once you get the hang of it it saves a ton of time.Multi-subsidiary and multi-currency work extremely well. We have 8 different subsidiaries in 3 currencies and it's made our lives so much easier to have them all in one place, with automatic currency conversion and automated end-of-month eliminations.Having automations like monthly postings to our GL, amortization calculations for our numerous IT purchases and monthly subscriptions, and the great reconciliation tool has saved us a ton of time during month's end.Integration with Salesforce was a breeze with an out-of-the-box connector.Support is generally very knowledgeable, problems are quickly fixed and answers quickly answered. There is a great Help tool (SuiteAnswers) where we find an answer to most of our problems, as well as a very active Enhancements Requests database.

Cons

Some features lack flexibility, like revenue recognition posting, but there are workarounds.User adoption can be slow because the system is very different from most mainstream systems, with it being so automated.Sales taxes management for Canada isn't totally adapted since they replicated American functionalities with Canadian codes, but there are also workarounds to this.

### "NetSuite Review"

October 14, 2020

4.0

NetSuite has served as well as a full-feature ERP system. We can manage many aspects of our business all in one system including managing projects, recording timesheets, order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, internal case support, CRM, and more. I feel that NetSuite is much easier to learn and more intuitive than other systems, but it still requires time to set the system up for a company's individual needs. NetSuite is set up for wide-ranging customizations, but in many cases these customizations are necessary to get the full benefit of the program. Our time investments in NetSuite have paid off, but the program definitely requires a lot of love to adapt to the changing needs of the business.

Pros

I really like the user-friendly appearance of NetSuite, especially compared to other older systems. I think the appearance makes NetSuite inviting and accessible. In general, the program is easy to learn, and NetSuite does multiple updates every year to add to the features.

Cons

There are times where it feels like features are inexplicably absent from NetSuite. Users have the ability to submit enhancement requests, but it can take years before these are implemented. Additionally, tech support can be hit and miss on providing effective solutions to problems.

### "NetSuite System OK, NetSuite SuiteSuccess Implementation AWFUL"

September 14, 2023

3.0

Overall, the NetSuite Staff and project teams will make promises the can't deliver on. They will do anything to make the sale regardless of whether they are the right solution for your business. Then, when it came time for implementation, they make you sign these aggressive terms and conditions. When we had questions on them, it delayed our project team 4 MONTHS because their legal team could not explain their own terms. The software is also INCREDIBLY slow. The NetSuite team will try to upsell you once you discover this to increase your speed but they will not let you "test" the speed before agreeing to a 12 month contract. There also also a good amount of native limitations. Examples include, inability to get a vendor payment register showing the original amount, discount taken, and amount paid. Inability to take a discount exclusive of freight on vendor bills. Sales and Use tax limitations. The system can NOT handle use tax and you need to either script or purchase a plugin to get sales taxes to calculate correctly. Copy pasting data/ tabels to print on html pdf prints, etc.

Pros

The reporting functionalities and general business flow of transaction processing is good

Cons

Sales Team Made Promises they can't deliver! During our initial review of the ERP systems, we went over all of our business processes with the NetSuite Sales Team and even provided process flowcharts and showed them what our system does. They were confident NetSuite could do all of that and more for us. However, when we went to implement, they fell short on SO MANY accounts. Basic things, like copy/pasting information info estimate forms and having them print with images are NOT possible with native functionalities.AVOID SuiteSuccess for implementation!! They are a cookie cutter implementation team and will not assist outside the most basic scope no matter what the sales team tells you. They basically just turn it on for you. Any specific things you may need for your business are considered customizations and you will be charged more for them. They had some very inexperienced staff assigned to our account that did things like missed MAJOR configuartion settings (making depts and locations required and fulfillments across periods), named native GL accounts differently so you wouldn't know why things were auto posting to the wrong account, did not review all print forms or assist in set-up, did not explain the GL impacts of different item types or how projects worked. They also did not assist with go-live data import AT ALL. You would be so much better off using a consultant. AVOID SUITESUCCESS.Software also has various quirky limitations. Do your research on reddit.

### ""Revolutionize Your Business with NetSuite: A Comprehensive Review""

February 3, 2023

4.0

My overall experience with NetSuite has been very positive. We have been using the platform for several years now and have seen a drastic improvement in the efficiency of our business operations. NetSuite has enabled us to streamline and automate many of our processes, which has allowed us to dedicate more time to providing higher-quality customer service.NetSuite has allowed us to significantly reduce manual data entry and paperwork and has helped us to better manage our inventory and financials. Additionally, the platform provides us with real-time visibility into our sales, customer service, and operations data, which has enabled us to make more informed decisions.Overall, NetSuite has been a great solution for us and has helped us to increase our efficiency and improve our bottom line.

Pros

Pros:1. NetSuite Software is very user-friendly and easy to use with a great user interface.2. It is highly customizable and allows for a great deal of flexibility when it comes to setting up your business processes.3. Integration with existing business processes is easy.4. The software provides a wide range of features that make it a powerful tool for managing your business operations, such as financials, inventory, customer service, and analytics.5. It is highly secure, with multiple layers of authentication and encryption to protect sensitive data.6. The customer support team is very helpful and knowledgeable.7. It is cost-effective and provides excellent value for money.

Cons

One of the biggest drawbacks of NetSuite Software is its lack of customization options. While some users may appreciate the comprehensive out-of-the-box solution, others may find the limited options restrictive. Additionally, integration with existing systems can be difficult and time-consuming, and there is a lack of support for users attempting to integrate the software with their systems. In addition, the software can be slow and unresponsive at times, and some features are difficult to access or use. Overall, users may find that the product is not as user-friendly as they would like.

### "NetSuite will get you set up quickly and efficiently!"

July 25, 2022

5.0

Pros

Having worked around Oracle for decades NetSuite was equally powerful but didn't have all the database admin overhead. I've continued to be impressed about what NetSuite delivers. It was THE only solution that supported complicated Revenue Accounting deals. In my mind it still is the only solution out there that does this elegantly. General Accounting processes are easy and "just work"!

Cons

My heart still aches that NetSuite sold out to Oracle. I expect that we will start down the Oracle headspace of releasing a lot of code that is buggy and forever waiting on a solutions. To the minutia....Chart of Account updates are hard an little guidance is given to companies that might not have accounting staff when they are starting out. ### "One source of truth"

November 18, 2022

5.0

Our move to Netsuite was very smooth and allowed for us to transition with no downtime. Support has been outstanding and the ability to customize ourselves has been invaluable as we continue to make it our own.

Pros

NetSuite provided our once disjointed business with one single source of truth. All users now have access to an all around view of our customers making business decisions easier and allowing information to be readily available real time.

Cons

The standard inventory module is very standard - while allowing for multiple warehouse locations, item/bin location reporting can be tricky to create without advanced module.

### "An extensive system that needs to be onboarded correctly"

February 23, 2022

5.0

NetSuite's user accounts and permissions make it easy to keep track of who has access to which information. When we look at a transaction's history, we can see the dates and usernames of the persons who made changes to it. When a transaction is made available for usage in the real world, the number of persons who must authorize it can be reduced. This is an excellent training aid. These measures have slashed our time and effort significantly.

Pros

NetSuite, a flexible and extensible platform, can meet the ERP needs of most businesses. It's an intriguing ecosystem in which multiple vendors perform some of the functions of NetSuite while being supported by NetSuite. Using the extensions provided, we were able to build a platform that works well for our organization. There is a wealth of information available for people of all skill levels. Directly from the corporation, I've seen some of the best help resources I've ever seen. The application is simple to use and has a multitude of personalization options. Several improvements to the reporting capabilities have been made to make the Workbooks section more accessible to non-technical users.

Cons

NetSuite isn't the easiest program to use, but it isn't the most complex either if you want to use it. A big overhaul is needed in the presentation of data in reports, which appear and feel dated. Finally, NetSuite is a pain to use because of its clunky interface and shoddy design. NetSuite users should seek out other NetSuite users and learn from their experiences to avoid making the same mistakes.

Pros

I love the customizations that are available to be done to design it to best work within what you are trying to do. I love the workflow integrations so we are able to implement basic scripts without hiring a developer.

Cons

### "NetSuite: A One-Stop-Shop for Comprehensive CRM"

January 16, 2023

5.0

Overall, NetSuite has been a valuable tool for our company. Its comprehensive and robust CRM solution, automation of repetitive tasks and powerful reporting capabilities have greatly improved our customer relationship management. While the software has a bit of a learning curve and requires a bit of effort to fully set it up and customize it, the benefits of NetSuite far outweigh the cons for our business.

Pros

As an admin user of NetSuite in our company, I have found it to be a comprehensive and robust CRM solution. One of the biggest advantages of this software is its ability to manage all aspects of our customer relationships in one platform. From sales and marketing, to customer service and support, NetSuite provides a seamless experience for our team and our customers. Another great feature of NetSuite is the automation of repetitive tasks. This has greatly improved our efficiency and has allowed us to focus on more important tasks such as building relationships with our customers. Additionally, NetSuite's reporting capabilities are robust and have provided valuable insights into our customer data, which has helped us make data-driven decisions.

Cons

One of the downsides of NetSuite is the complexity of the software. While it offers a wide range of features, it takes some time and effort to fully utilize all the functionalities, especially for non-technical users.

Pros

It was normally more accurate than all of our other systems combined. It was a system that I personally leaned on. When ever there was a doubt or something was missing. ### "SiteBuilder/Ecommerce is out of date with the latest trends"

April 19, 2017

1.0

Pros

All-in-One bundle; can handle payroll, employees, reporting, marketing campaigns, etc. I feel that it's idealistic if you don't want to have to use all sorts of third-party applications like quickbooks.

Cons

Ecommerce seems is out of date, and lacks features. There are features have been in queue for over three years and due to that, people have to resort to spending thousands of dollars on a developer when we're already spending enough on licenses for employees, websites, and other features. no sitewide HTTPS - every page but the shopping cart will be unsecured. no google/bing integrations - there's no integration for google/bing adwords and analytics - scripts have to be pasted onto certain pages no microdata integration - you'll have to use custom scripting to pull values for these fields, and script the tags into every page no customer support - you have to pay for support, and most times netsuite CSRs will direct you to their knowledge base. most of the time for me, I was given articles nowhere close to what I was calling about. javscript based - chances are you're most likely going to be coding 3/4 of your site with javascript and suitescript. because of their limitations to pulling data for items, you have to resort to javascript for alot of things. Other ecommerce platforms will pull data simplistically with tags like {{{price}}}, in NetSuite you'll have to complicate things with tags like <%=getAttribute('itemid','itemdataitem','')%> every now and then, I'll run into scripting problems because of this but have been rare recently.

### "Limited QuickBooks Journey to Robust NetSuite"

November 22, 2022

5.0

Pros

We have investments in various business arenas (Hospitality, Restaurant, Aviation, Real Estate, Ranches, Home office) and some are intercompany, others are not, but require combined statements. NetSuite allows us to set up the subsidiaries with the proper rollups and consolidation/eliminations, while providing the drilldown process to reconcile any differences, if needed. Moving to NetSuite enabled us to enhance the previous business processes and create process efficiencies/ financial transparencies.

Cons

Integration with the previous business processes was difficult, not due to NetSuite, but the lack of standardization/harmonization of data management, Chart of accounts. i have a short list of issues that have been brought to my attention from the users, but these result from the fact we look at 130 plus subsidiaries in one report and the first column with the GL account reference does not freeze, like in an Excel worksheet (solution = download data into a worksheet).

needed to have a system that would allow a full consolidation/elimination financial and the process to do this with Quickbooks was an excel worksheet with 130 plus financials, not very efficient.

### "Explore other options..."

March 4, 2023

3.0

Overall, not a pleasant experience. We have now hired a third-party consultant (even more $$) to help us rectify mistakes made during initial implementation.

Pros

The CRM module is great! We can track potential customers from the suspect stage to fully qualified customers with a signed contract.

Cons

This is an Oracle backed product and as a result, the backend database is ridiculously hard to use for analytical reporting. Oracle is not inclined to share a data map for its clients.

### "Netsuite is our all-in-one accounting software"

September 12, 2023

4.0

There are two major areas that NetSuite helps us with as a company. For starters, it makes it easy for orders placed via our punchout gateways to be automatically incorporated into Sales Orders. To further streamline the process of importing Magento orders into NetSuite, we make use of the NetSuite Connector.

Pros

All of your accounting requirements can be met by using Netsuite. It's perfect for a wide variety of enterprises because it meets their varied requirements. Cloud computing alleviates storage concerns, which is especially useful for small businesses.

Cons

Netsuite has a wide variety of features, which is wonderful; yet, due to its high degree of personalization, operating it effectively calls for a high level of software literacy. Hours of instruction are needed to learn how to use all of the features effectively.

It facilitates the creation of financial statements and offers audit trails for business dealings. Bills and other supporting papers can be stored there as well for further reference.

### "Netsuite- scale the administration of your company"

August 31, 2023

4.0

The interface itself is incredibly easy to use; It took me a very short time to get a good grasp of how it all works. Furthermore, it is cost-effective and serves as a comprehensive system for managing various facets of the business. In short, NetSuite makes running our entire business more efficient and agile.

Pros

I have been using NetSuite for quite some time and can say that it is a very good platform that has transformed the way we manage our business operations. What I like the most is how everything is consolidated in one place: inventory, orders, invoices and customer data. This saves us the hassle of logging into multiple systems to get real-time information. The software connects seamlessly with our bank allowing for batch uploding for payments, approving invoices in bulk is another time saver and the option to customize reports by adding additional columns gives us the flexibility we need.

Cons

The negative points are: its cost increases every year, and the customer service is not very good, it needs to improve and be more trained.
