It’s a very powerful ERP system and works well for managing different parts of the business in one platform. Reporting and financial tracking are strong points. At the same time it does have a learning curve and sometimes requires external consultants to fully utilize it. Once you get past that, it becomes a pretty reliable system. Pros It brings everything together in one place like accounting, financials, inventory and reporting. Its really helpful not having to switch between multiple systems. The real-time reporting and dashboards are pretty useful for getting a quick view of how the business is doing. It also scales well as the company grows, which is a big plus. Once everything is set up properly, it can handle a lot of complex business processes Cons It can be pretty complex and not very beginner friendly. The interface feels a bit outdated in some areas and takes time to get used to. Customization is powerful but also confusing unless you have proper training or support. SuiteAnswers has been an invaluable tool in helping find what I need. Our implementation team did a good job of supporting us through the process of implementation and initial configuration. Pros NetSuite has allowed us to consolidate our platforms and bring data together into a converged system so that we have "One source of the truth" in out operations. Cons It's a learning curve, but any platform we would have migrated to would have had a similar learning curve. With other ERP's you have to make your processes fit in their box, with NetSuite- you can make your ERP fit your processes. Pros NetSuite is a game changer for our company. Our ERP is key in our success and switching to NetSuite has not only made our current function better, but has prepared us for other revenue opportunities we otherwise wouldn't have been ready for. The value for the price is great, data is clean, reporting is awesome, and all the third party integrations are so easy to use. Implementation went well with minimum bugs and issues. Cons The implementation was expensive and was a barrier for us to make the switch at first. It had to be done, but it took us a while to have the cash available- and they were able to wrap it in a loan at 0%. Reconciliation is made easy and reporting is handy Cons Sometimes it’s not easy to add fields in Customise for reporting purpose, eg adding job ID as a column. TPAR report picks up both Yes and No. Seems cannot list only those that are required for reporting… unless my colleague set up incorrectly. Also, the system seems running slow. We have also had some luck keeping our inventory numbers from being absolutely incorrect, and we have had luck with using the software for manufacturing attributes. Pros It's cold enough to freeze right now due to AC that will not turn off, and I am staring at my computer monitor. At least the new tab layout is slightly better than before. Although this could have crashed or failed to load (as most all of them do) I was able to access web features. With a little patience you can really customize your dashboards if you are willing to spend time configuring your own custom fields. Cons The Save and Delete buttons were moved and honestly why would you do that? There is such a large amount of empty white space on the screen while I am trying to view data, it seems like a wasted use of pixels. Normally support is fine however there are times when they act like they communicate with one another in the same building which is a huge hassle to explain issues to both of them. I have used it for two years now and found it's very smart and designed well. Cons Some default settings are rely on user experience and do require decent training and learning.
