Pros

It has a good database, however, it still requires you run separate reports for sales, then inventory and combine. It has a low cost and is cloud-based.

Cons

NetSuite does not provide any service. If you are a small company with 10 stores, you will be "supported" by an office in the Philippines. The team does not follow up as they promise. You will need to follow up multiple times to get answers and sometimes not get an answer. I met a rep at NRF 2015 who told me that he would move our account to US. I have emailed and called multiple times with no response. Not even a response to the email from anyone at NetSuite. There is no mobile solution (retail anywhere is one of the worst retail systems). I'm not impressed. They are not aware of current needs or tech--they did not tell customers about the Chip & Pin requirement coming in Oct 2015. An associate can return an item multiple times for the same invoice. There are no basic retail reports (style report). They will tell you how great their system is you can create reports. However, be warned you will need a programmer to program any report that is complex.

Pros

Netsuite has tons and tons of features, amazing expandability, and editing is fairly simple. Customizing your personal desktop in Netsuite is a great little perk, and navigation is straight-forward. The search menu is awesome, and for daily use, this is a great program.

Cons

When going deeper into editing, it can get a bit confusing, but it is easy to learn what steps you have to take to edit a particular piece of a page.

Pros

Nothing, after 8 months (5 months overdue) the software is not usable for our organization and NetSuite does not care.

Cons

The sales staff promised something that Netsuite couldn't deliver.

The ability to give our customers access to their account information is a great feature. We are consistently receiving request from our customers who want to able able to pull invoices and make direct payments.

Cons

the pricing structure has taken quite a bit of custom programming to get to where we need it.

Pros

I like how each organization can tailor the product to its specific needs. I also appreciate the fact there is an open app market.

Cons

Visually, the product could use an update for non-admin users. I know there are customer (retail or otherwise) NetSuite products that look smoother, but for the average user using the program for accounting/bookkeeping purposes, it could look nicer.

From Day 1 they are off the ground working FOR YOU. They don't tell you how things are going to work but ask more on how WE want it to work. They can customize anything for you. Overall from the sales process to the stages of implementation, we could not be any happier. In month 1 of go-live, we saw an 8% increase in sales compared to the prior year. Quoting and CRM have streamlined a lot.

We are new in the system, but in 1 year we were able to launch 2 websites, one in CA and one in US. Our sales are increasing as our visibility in the market.

Pros

The tool have several integrations with different systems like payment methods, warehouse organisation, shipping methods. The structure of scripts and workflows let you manage the system accordingly with your needs.

Cons

The support is something that I believe that could be an improvement. Sometimes you have to explain the same thing several times and the response is not what you expected. The quality is good, but it is a gap that could be better.

We implemented in Jun 2017. There was no training except for the modules which we did not really have time for. It has been a frustrating process. We currently reached out to NS to prepare a custom report for us. When we finally received the report, it did not work. We reached back out to the technician to report that the custom report did not bring in accurate data. (It was 95% correct). After two weeks, we received the response that NS did not know what was wrong and they could help us no further. They suggested a "work around" which also did not work.

Pros

Very robust software - has many capabilities. We just need the time for training. I have enjoyed Suiteworld 2018 that shows me many of the functions available.

Cons

Very robust software - has many capabilities but it is hard to get the training required and get the daily work accomplished.

Pros

Easy to use for basic functions without a lot of training. Customization is easy in some areas when needed. User interface is simple. Search bar at the top works GREAT.

Cons

Advanced issues are expensive to implement and continuous training to develop your skills is difficult. Updating simple things like the password to integrated shipping accounts requires an administrator.

Benefits are that you can load massive amounts of data and search it well, However I do see limited functionality when it comes to sending certain data packets and commands out to other UI's there seem to be more "workarounds" than solutions in my experience.

Pros

I like that it is very customizable and that it is relatively easy to pick up and get going!

Cons

Some of the menu options are somewhat limited and require validation that is useless in my opinion. However, I think this is most likely an issue with setup and is dependent on the business model.

Truly impressed by NetSuite's search and easy navigation. Opening saved searches to end users provides self-service. Mass import saved csv is increadible.

Pros

Easy to use. Highly customizable. Powerful dashboard. I like that it integrates with our HR system to define supervisor structure to setup auto-approval workflow.

Cons

Customization can cause a lot of headache and inflexibility. Subsidiary cannot be updated after employee record created. Our integration partner set the vendor ach into the address record forcing us to have to make addresses unique by having address line 1 us change address line 1 to many different form (e.g. road, rd. rd). why is external id not displayed on the inquiry screen - user has to use saved search to look for external id.

The best benefit to the company was better interdepartmental communication. Netsuite makes it easy for groups to work together.

Pros

Case Tracking makes working together simple and provides detailed information directly associated with the client page. The customizable Dashboard is useful in so many ways.

Cons

KnowledgeBase is not searchable in a useful way. Saved Searches are difficult to sort through. Needs easier page editing for 'solutions'

Report and dashboard building could be more intuitive for the common user. Viewing of data is often cumbersome - some users have trouble viewing large searches, for example no ability freeze columns

Search functionality is extremely versaility. Can be overwhelming for some but with time, most will get it.

Cons

Management of Roles. Would prefer for a set up that allows same exact layouts across the board with permission levels.

Pros

Custom fields and reporting that can be implemented by non-technical people. Very powerful to run all divisions and activity on a single platform.

Cons

dashboards need improvement but coming soon w/ pivots (hopefully). Need help with running pick tickets and inventory management for multi-location (4 physical versus several virtual locations within).

Pros

NetSuite is a good all-round solution for the ERP needs of most of our clients. It’s strengths are easy implementation with limited customisation needed, while being able to replace most legacy ERP systems. It provides easy support for big-picture financial decision-making.

Cons

Customer support has not been as good after the acquisition by Oracle, perhaps due to teething issues. Despite the wide range of features, functionality has sometimes been lacking and has not been updated.

Pros

NetSuite is user-friendly and comprehensive software to use. The saved reports and transaction searches are helpful in providing relevant and meaningful data. NetSuite is also useful for global organizations with multiple subsidiaries and various foreign currencies for consolidation.

Cons

There are limitations in NetSuite's out-of-the-box features and functionalities. For example, NetSuite does not currently offer large batch fulfillment and approvals with entries generated through its allocation schedules. However, most features offered by NetSuite are customizable to fit your business needs.

Pros

The ability to keep all functions of business operations within one solution. The integration with 3rd party platforms is also very robust.

Cons

The reporting and search parameters are confusing and unclear. Terms are ill-defined, which makes determining appropriate criteria for searches and reports difficult. It takes additional training and mastery-level comprehension to easily use these features.

Once you get it set-up it is a good product for international accounting. It does take a lot of time for the initial set-up, but if you purchase the unlimited customer service help, you will get there. Once you have it set-up it is very easy to use. I would not purchase this product if not an international company. It would not be worth cost due to other software products that are available in today's market.

By using other systems we get through the manufacturing side but overall it has been a great improvement for the business. Highly recommend for a buy sell or minimal manufacturing business.

Pros

I absolutely love the product. It is great for us overall with marketing, CRM, accounting. Best bits are the reports, safe searches, and if I need some customisation like scripts or workflows done there are thousands of independent Netsuite specialists around the world who can write these for you.

Cons

As a manufacturer I would seriously look hard at other software to run this. Either use something completely different or another manufacturing software that can API / link in with Netsuite. I think the manufacturing side of NS is difficult to use and overly complicated for a small business. The time tracking is terrible (We use another system for time tracking and job tracking through the factory) and another down side is the cost to have a lot of employees on the factory floor logging on and off jobs. Looking back I did find it hard to find many other companies using Netsuite for manufacturing.

it has helped our business, however it has been over a year to be functional

Pros

The navigation is simple. that it is web based. possibilities are endless however the process is hard.

Cons

what it takes to get operational is baffling. The support is lacking compassion and simplicity. You have to pay additional cost to have a support on site helping you get started. The fact that there are so many hidden functions is the worst. You will have to call customer support on the phone with issues that an account rep should help you with.
