Pros

My customers run their entire business from this software and it has done nothing less than allow companies to thrive and make money without asking for anything in return. There are really no features lacking and what might be needed on a per case basis can easily be coded and implemented.

Pros

It's completely free and easy to manage and maintain. Using already familiar linux and asterisk vicidial sits on top of these already amazing technologies to bring you a fully featured call center application without limits.

Cons

Templating could be improved as customization is hindered by version control and the use of ajax used for realtime display within the html interface.

Vicidial is the single most important piece of software we use in our call center. We have around 100 agents taking inbound calls and making outbound calls using Vicidial. We've been using Vicidial for over 5 years. The capabilities it provides us can't be found anywhere else in an open source package. The user community provides great support and help with getting off the ground. Our business wouldn't be nearly as productive without it.

Pros

Open source, php, mysql based.

Cons

Code base is a bit messy if you're going to mess with things yourself.

Pros

So many options its overwhelming for a novice, but as an expert you can always find the sweet spot on your calling.

Cons

The GUI is so 1999. they need to slap boot strap on it.

It will cut your cost to more than 90% if you will be using Vicidial. We fully recommend and support Matt and the whole Vicidial Team. No proprietary dialer can match the price and flexibility of Vicidial.

Pros

Free and Open Source! Very flexible and customisable, you can tailor fit it to any requirements you need.

Cons

You need to be technically inclined to set this up.

Pros

You can't beat free and VICIdial is just that . Extremely easy to navigate through and navigate the calls in a very affordable way .I also like that you can compartmentalize different call areas alongside different subjects for the specific call .

Cons

Any complains I have are just nitpicking . That being said ,the design looks very outdated and the reports are very hard to understand .

Easy campaign setup using copy campaign feature and user group. Further the predictive dialing function also nice feature.

Cons

No way to identify disconnected phone numbers. Carrier rejection reports not in the option or report section.

The Hangup Cause Report was added to VICIdial in 2012, we added SIP rejection code logging with Asterisk 1.8 support in 2014. This report is available in the "Admin Utilities" page accessible from the bottom of the Reports page.

I started with Vicidial version 1.0.7. Over 12 years later, I still think its the best open source contact centre solution hands down! Very easy to setup when you follow instructions and there are now many ways to deploy too. Very happy to see that the system is fully compliant with FTC regulations and makes management very easy across outbound, inbound, and blended campaigns. Only con is the UX/UI that could be improved, especially for reporting. But as a tech person, I am happy to have function over form :)

Pros

Very simple to setup and configure for all types of campaigns. Can be load balanced for almost unlimited scalability.

Cons

Visual interface needs improvement along with reporting.

Steep learning curve but excellent in features, functionality and customization of functions. If you were to purchase a commercial dialer product with the same capabilities, you will be spending BIG $$$$$$. I know, we have done that before then that dialer broke and the vendor could not fix it. If you have a competent Linux staff with some knowledge of Linux bash, PHP, MySql and Asterisk, you are good to go. Community support is fantastic!

Pros

Versatility and and it being open-source.

We use VICIdial for outgoing calling campaigns. It’s extremely easy to set up a campaign and run multiple campaigns (with various dial methods) concurrently. The reports delivered with the basic installation covers the basic needs for the tracking of the agent efficiency.

Cons

The basic configuration of the system requires advanced pbx-skills.

Open Source, flexibility to make some modifications and customization. Use standards, well know programing languages and technologies like PHP, Perl, MariaDB and Linux to combine in a great and very stable call center platform.

Cons

I'm using Vicidial intensively in the last seven years and I don't know any cons in Vicidial. Is a very flexible solution, stable and reliable.

Biggest pro is that it's free to use . It really helps you organize your calling campaigns to maximize outcomes . I like how easy creating calling list is and well well it can be integrated to the CRM you already have .

Cons

There isn't really that much to complain about ,but the design really needs to be brought in the 21st century .

Pretty easy to use and learn compared to some other phone systems on the market.

Cons

We regularly have the dialer down and can't make calls. As a salesperson, having my phone system down is really detrimental. I've used a lot of VoIP systems before and never had this many issues with service.

I'm using vidial for call center, IVR, and broadcast voice message. It took time to come into but all the features are just amazing. And more important, support from community and the authors are just first class.

Pros

Support, full of feature and customization. Full open source !

sometime a little bit tricky to understand the whole picture. But with a the good manual (I purchased it many time), it should be easier

A very classical dialer which provides quality services in a very reasonable price. The voice quality is also good. Better than many in the market.

Cons

The only problem is with installation. At the end, you need the support person to set it up for you. No matter how many times you have gone through the process, something will change in every other account set up.

first day i had to have tech set it up, the sip settings. this was due to me not having personal knowledge of it. i didn't try to get support from the maker since we our own it guy.
