It requires good hardware configuration to work smoothly. For beginners it will be tough to use. Pros For java development, I think it is the most advance IDE. Developing in this is very easy and fast as it provides lots of plugin to make development easy. I previously worked on NetBeans but when i started using InteliJ IDEA i fell in love in the design of the software and the way gives you suggestions to fix problems you have created. Cons It's really a good software to use with a lot of functionality behind, but the only downside i have noticed is that when i run it on slower computer it really struggles to open the program, but after that there is no problems. If you learn all the keyboard shortcuts you can complete task 10 times faster, so good! Cons It is not as heavy as old big IDEs used to be but is not light fast as other competitors like Visual Code.
