I also use Android Studio based on this software each and every day in my work and never feel like I am in the past days because of this modern IDE. Pros I have never found any IDE that can bean IntelliJ IDEA. This is the most awesome product for writing codes, executing them and building packages. I am starting my first steps learning backend programming and must say that IJ it's very helpfull because it gives you tips, it's very visual so you can see easily the mistake, you can debug steps of your code, and has match with anyother system such as github or cmander. also you can use the terminal at the same integrated development environment. There are also strange bugs on mac osx with ctrl keybindings. I use it for coding and I recommend to all the developers out there to give a try and see if it works for them. Pros IntelliJ IDEA is an incredible IDE for coding. I use it for making Java programs. The best part is that there are a lot plug-ins that you can use with IntelliJ. Cons As every IDE you will have to learn the basic buttons and then you will be good to go. I have no complains for that IDE. Once you install it you are good to go. There is NO OTHER IDE on the market that comes close to it in features, ease of use, and productivity! It's refactoring options are truly unparalleled, and it seamlessly supports systems such as the latest VCS (Subverions Git, Mercurial, etc.) out of the box without add'l tweaking or plugin install. The only thing this tool doesn't do for you is brush your teeth in the morning and this is something that could easily be supported via IntelliJ plugin. So unless you need to somehow automate your morning dental hygiene routine or you are too lazy/unskilled/out-of-time to to write a plugin, stop reading this review and download your copy immediately! The system memory and harddisk should be of good size to use IntelliJ Idea efficiently. Pros This is great IDE for web and software devvelopment. The third party libraries can be loaded and then code auto completion feature can be used to speed up the process of development to achieve maximum output. The layout is great and highly customizable. Cons It is very large software and require a lot of time to install.
