Our company uses Easy Redmine for several key activities. Technicians mainly use it for time tracking, while project managers use it for project planning, task management, budget monitoring and resource management.

Pros

\- Good overview of projects, tasks and resources in one system - Budget tracking and financial overview on projects - Quite easy collaboration for PMs

Cons

\- The interface can feel complex for new users - Initial setup and customization needs strong support and take time

turnaround on change requests dropped from days to hours and revenue leakage shrank once we consolidated ticket, task, and time tracking into a single system.

Pros

a support ticket can be converted into a task or even a whole sprint with two clicks, keeping the entire history intact and sparing our agency team from copying data between tools; clients love watching progress without logging into a separate portal.

Cons

the interface favours function over flair, with grey tones and older-style icons that make designers on our team sigh; they still use it because the workflow works, but a visual refresh would boost morale.

We gained a single source of truth across projects and support, cut overtime by spotting overloads earlier, and delivered more predictably without adding headcount.

Pros

I like that we can host easy redmine behind our firewall to satisfy strict client and gdpr requirements while still using hybrid project methods, sla alerts, resource charts, and transparent time tracking in a single, consistent system that keeps everyone aligned.

Cons

I think documentation for advanced reporting could go deeper and a few icons feel old school, so building custom dashboards takes extra clicks until you learn the quirks. Support usually replies with concrete steps that bridge the gaps quickly

We moved off jira, a separate help desk, and gitlab, cut costs, and halved meeting time because the portfolio view gives leaders answers without chasing spreadsheets.

Pros

I like that easy redmine merges planning, service, and repository work into a single on premise setup, so our team stops jumping between tabs and the finance export makes invoicing less painful. It also keeps data under our control while the gantt and scrum views stay perfectly in sync.

Cons

I feel the first time role and permission setup takes patience and the ui styling is more functional than pretty, which can slow new users during week one. After that learning curve, day to day work is smooth and reliable for the entire team.

we replaced some Pm tools and gitlab, cut licensing costs by about forty percent, and halved the length of weekly status meetings because everyone finally sees the same live dashboard.

Pros

easy redmine merges classic gantt planning, sprint boards, help-desk tickets, time sheets, and git repos under the same on-prem roof, so our eight-person software shop no longer loses hours jumping between half a dozen browser tabs. the ai “health radar” is surprisingly useful—twice it warned us about a looming delay before the burndown chart made it obvious.

Cons

"the role-permission matrix feels like a labyrinth on day one and the admin screens look dated, which means new admins should set aside a couple of concentrated hours to get everything mapped and themed properly before rolling it out to the team. "

Very positive experience, this tool has really impoved the way we handle projects in a single application interface, the customization options are really advanced and the customer service amazing

Pros

It's a complete tool for managing IT projects in a holistic way, combining both agile and waterfall methodologies, risk management, budgets, attendence and so much more

Cons

Maybe it's a little bit overwhelming at the beginning, with so many options that can be confusing at the first glance

After a quarter, project data, tickets, and code reviews live in one database, invoice prep is faster, and cross-team finger-pointing disappeared because everyone now sees the same real-time dashboards.

Pros

We love that easy redmine installs behind our firewall, satisfies strict gdpr rules, yet still gives us hybrid agile-waterfall planning, customizable sla tracking, time sheets, resource load charts, and one-click exports for finance—basically the power of bigger suites with none of the cloud anxiety.

Cons

We haven’t stumbled over any show-stoppers, yet the overall interface favours practicality over polish and modern aesthetics; icons, colour themes, and page layouts feel early-2010s, which occasionally makes power users hunt around for the right buttons even though the underlying functions are solid.

The predictive reports in easy redmine crunch velocity, booked hours, and risk flags across all portfolios, then surface plain-language warnings and suggested actions, so our pms correct course days—not hours—before deadlines slip, and execs finally trust the numbers they see.

Cons

Serious faults are hard to find, but the mobile companion lags behind the desktop version; key visualisations such as the portfolio heat-map and resource load graphs are missing, forcing busy managers to return to a laptop for deep dives when they should be able to stay productive on the go.

Pros

Easy Redmine combines classic gantt timelines, kanban boards, help-desk queues, and integrated git repositories under a single on-prem install, and the built-in AI health widget flags schedule or budget risks early enough for us to fix them instead of explaining them.

Cons

There’s nothing deal-breaking to report, but the first-time configuration of roles and granular permissions can feel labyrinthine, and the admin screens look a little dated, so expect to invest a couple of hours tweaking settings before the team is comfortable.
