“I no longer have to use my personal card for business travel since I have this application and that has been a huge relief because waiting for reimbursement is the absolute worst. When I create an expense report, the float app will automatically match my receipts to the corresponding charges, so I won’t lose them in my bag or forget about them.“

“The mobile version of this application is completely ridiculous. Once I enter a task, I am forever stuck in some pop-up and I have to clear my entire browser history to escape. If I use the Google calendar feature to connect this application to my own calendar, I am unable to adjust the meeting times.“

### "The best app for planning and working with a team"

August 28, 2023

5.0

I can't imagine working without Float.

Pros

Clear, minimalistic and great interface with awesome interactions/microinteractions. Integrations with tools like Asana, calendars, collaborations with the team, and simplicity of use! Fantastic mobile apps.

Cons

I don't have any points to add here, I have not had any problems using Float - maybe a desktop application for Mac would be useful ;)

### "Solid Product"

June 27, 2022

5.0

It's helped us grow a lot and help more people. It's really helped us spend less time doing admin work and more time doing real work and helping people. It takes some getting used to and commitment but it's beautifully designed, intuitive, and a big part of our success.

Pros

How easy it is to use. It's easy to jump in and also complicated enough that you can really use some advanced features.

Cons

There are of course small issues here and there but none worth mentioning at all. It's truly a great product and really helpful.

Reason for choosing Float

We considered quite a few but Float seemed to be the easiest to use and easiest to jump into. It had a small learning curve in comparison and we felt if it didn't work we could easily switch to another platform. We ended up sticking with it though.

It didn't have enough features that we wanted. There was a lot of tedious components that really didn't work for us.

### "Great value. Lots of potential"

September 5, 2019

3.0

I've been using CETA scheduling software for the last 4 years in big VFX companies and I must say that Float is not there yet but is actually getting broadly comparable. In the last 4 months that I introduced it into my new team it's proved to be quite useful to keep track of the progression of our projects. During these months I've seen that it has already improved in many areas that I'm excited to see what comes next. I can see it can become a really powerful software.

Pros

There aren't may softwares that let you schedule a team in such an easy and organised way. I think most softwares nowadays are too complex and make you spend more time organising tasks than actually working on them. Float is so clear and simple you can actually use it to manage big projects without spending too much time on it.

Cons

It's getting better, but it would be very useful if we could: - Right click on a pencil and be able to copy it over into a different person. - Book more than one person on the same project (for example if two workers are on the same project because one of them is doing a training but you don't want to charge twice for that time). - Lately when I try to schedule more than 1 project in one day on the same person I get a message saying I can't schedule anyone for more than 24 hours) even if I'm not exceeding the 8 normal working hours. It'd be great if that could be fixed. - It'd be good if milestones were more visible. - I think reports should be a bit less complicated and more visual. - It'd be really helpful if you could group projects up in folders when you go to the Projects tab as at the moment we have like... 45 different projects going on and although we color code them it's difficult to organise all of them. -I'd like to have more than only three types of view when looking at our schedules a part from 'Days, 'Weeks' and 'Months'. It'd be great if you could 'Archive' users as well as projects. So when a worker it's not working at the company anymore and you don't want to pay for it on Float you can kind of 'Archive' him (so you are not able to book him on anything but still you can see him on the boards so you don't loose what it's been scheduled on him.)

Its the closes to CETA software that we could find. It's good value for the price it offers and it's very intuitive and flexible.

### "My experience wit Float"

May 25, 2026

5.0

Overall, I would recommend to use it, since it easier to navigate and tools available are enough to set up with complication

Pros

What I liked most about Float is that it is very easy to use and helps manage expenses smoothly. The app makes tracking spending and company cards simple and fast.

Cons

One thing I don’t like about Float is that the schedule and approval process can sometimes feel slow when waiting for updates or confirmations.

### "Great tool!"

June 15, 2022

4.0

Overall we love to use float. We especially like the time logging features.

Pros

The interface has a great overview. Adding projects and tasks is intuitive and the colours make every tasks and project stand out. Logging time is really easy. We were not interested in a "log-per-minute" type of application but rather one where you can just log bigger blocks. Float helped us plan and log our time better.

Cons

Planning a project is not super extensive. Float has some tools but the tools are a bit limited. The time tracking feature is the feature we use the most, it is a shame that is not available separately.

### "MID-SIZE CREATIVE TEAM (20 ppl)"

August 28, 2023

4.0

Pros

Float is a powerful tool that can help the managers to make sure the team is not overloaded (or underloaded :) ).At the same time we have a clear vision if we, as a team, we can take more projects to work on or we have to raise our hand because we are in difficult

Cons

Visually could be more appealing. User interface is easy but it could be more eye-catching for the creative team

### "I was able to get an okay experience on my business cards using the float application"

February 21, 2026

4.0

I no longer have to use my personal card for business travel since I have this application and that has been a huge relief because waiting for reimbursement is the absolute worst. When I create an expense report, the float app will automatically match my receipts to the corresponding charges, so I won’t lose them in my bag or forget about them. This application keeps me from having to complete a huge amount of paperwork at the end of the month, which is honestly all I really care about.

Pros

The float app works well and I don’t have to go through 20 different steps to find my budget and past spending history as I would with American Express. I’m able to quickly view my budget and spending history without having to dig through a lot of menus, which is nice since I’m waiting for the bus and I just want to check my balance. It’s similar to revolut, everything is right there.

Cons

It’s so frustrating to have to enter two emails separately every time I am trying to send an invoice to multiple people. The receipt scanner is just a camera and does not pick up the text most of the time so I end up typing in all of it. Ugh, the bus is late again and I’m so hungry at this point. Rewards may be a little under where I’d like to see them, but hey you can’t have everything.

### "Equitable work allocation"

April 21, 2025

5.0

It has increased punctuality by being able to submit projects on time as a team and streamline each process. Having a real-time overview makes teamwork easier.

Pros

What I love most about Float is the ability to ensure equal work among the entire team and a more productive performance among everyone by having the ability to plan each project more strategically, providing perfect monitoring that helps us understand the progress of the work and what needs to be improved. It helps us greatly meet our team goals and immediately manage any work irregularities that arise.

Cons

Their performance has been extremely useful, with no glitches or poor service. The entire operation has been accurate, and their tools are fully integrated.

Pros

Cons

### "Float - good tool for capacity planning"

August 22, 2023

4.0

Overall, it's a very convenient & reliable tool from a project manager's perspective. Some changes would be helpful, but in general it is a massive help in resource planning and I can't imagine working without it.

Pros

It is a great tool to be integrated with jira - it works well for our team, it's a seamless, smooth integration that helps us estimate time & choose the right resource for any jira tasks. It is also easy to follow by the users who are marking tasks "complete", adding comments, mark bookings as tentative. All very clear and transparent.

Cons

The integration with google calendar doesn't work that well. Some of the bookings are wrong / outdated / are not being updated / duplicated / not being displayed in a correct project or are missing. Luckily, the support team is open to help with this kind of issues. Also, the annoying feature is that the "View in jira" link doesn't work for duplicated bookings. It doesn't work well for our team as more people use the same tasks on jira in different time. It's impossible to search using the jira ticket number (you have to know the ticket name). Also, ticket numbers are not displayed in the “Task” field- that causes some confusion because we work with tasks with similar names.

Great tool overall to track hours and availability of teammates over multiple projects

Pros

overall it is easy to use and has a lot of great quality of life features for our firm. It would be great to have the ability to integrate it with our financial software, but still a great tool for scheduling out projects and teammates.

Cons

It would be great to have more integration options to make it more efficient for expense tracking.

### "Float Review by Advertising Video Editor"

My experience has been nothing but positive. It's saved me time, and my agency.

Pros

Its graphic layout is clear and easy to navigate. Being able to track my time easily for timesheet reporting has made this task one that I dreaded into something I don't even think about. And it's always updated and accurate which means no more returned timesheets.

Cons

So far it's all been positive. I don't use a lot of features Float delivers but I am very happy with the ones I do use.

### "Empowering Efficiency: A Scheduling Product that Masterfully Handles Prioritization"

August 24, 2023

5.0

Pros

What sets this project management software apart is its exceptional user interface. Navigating through tasks, timelines, and reports feels intuitive and user-friendly. The visual representation of project timelines and progress is a standout feature, making it easy to grasp project status at a glance. This visual clarity has significantly enhanced our project planning and decision-making processes. With this software, complexity is simplified, and managing even intricate projects becomes a breez

Cons

In my experience with Float, the aspect that has the most potential for growth is the mobile app. While functional, it could benefit from more robust features and smoother navigation. Real-time updates and more comprehensive task management capabilities on the mobile platform would greatly enhance the product's utility for users on the go. Despite this, Float's desktop version remains a reliable tool for managing schedules and projects effectively.

### "Float Application - One of the best resource managment tool"

August 22, 2023

5.0

Overall, it's a time-saver tool for our team in the organization as it centralizes a lot of task with transparency.

Pros

One of the things I like best about Float resource management tool is that it allows you to centralize your people and project data. This means that you can easily see the availability, workload, and skills of your team members, as well as the status, budget, and timeline of your projects

Cons

A few points on which float needs to work:- It has few API integrations that work- It has limited reporting and forecasting features or maybe I need to look into it myself.

### "Easy Resource Management Tool"

June 27, 2022

5.0

Pros

Our mid-size organization loves Float for an easy-to-use depiction of future capacity. Managers like the ability to change their direct reports' assignments quickly, and folks enjoy referring to Float to fill out their own time sheets in our finance system.

Cons

Multiple Float environments can't be combined nor can SSO be implemented for an organization that has multiple Float environments (without having to choose just one URL). Also, support tickets can linger and it takes a long time to get a direct question answered effectively.

### "Float - Web Friendly Time Table"

September 5, 2023

5.0

Overall, I really liked float and I would recommend it to other companies.

Pros

I really like using float for the first time in my 7 years of professional career as it helped me to move me from sticky notes to the web version of a kind of time table that I used to create for my day to day tasks. Its feature of scheduling has also helped my manager to have the right visibility of my work time as a result of which he has kept our work management balanced.

Cons

I have not used it ever on mobile phone and have listened my friends complaining about its GUI (Graphic User Interface) limitation on mobile phones as compared to other apps. So, I think mobile users needs to have better features as well similar to web users.

### "Great platform for staffing and management"

August 31, 2023

4.0

A good platform to manage: who, what and when. Float has maintained the visual people focus I love about the original product. Integrates well with our data compliance and avoids budget/client confidential data which will need to stay on our intranet. Presentation mode and time split functions are areas to grow functionality.

Pros

Intuitive and easy to use, focus on work schedule not project budget.

Cons

Updates are not always realtime forced page reloads required which can be troublesome for the team.

### "Great employee scheduling/management tool"

August 30, 2023

4.0

Pros

I like that float allows me to track what my team is working on and when, as well as schedule them on new tasks easily and quickly as needed. It is also a great tool for ensuring your team isn't overburdened on any given day.

Cons

I find scheduling different hours on the same project in a week (or longer) can be tedious so I usually just end up splitting the hours equally across the week (or longer). So it's a rough outline of what projects I/my team are working on, but it isn't exact.
