The integration with Asana works quite well too. Cons The UX is great overall, but it sometimes gets messy with long projects. " February 18, 2019 4.0 Overall, it's a very helpful piece of software for being able to see what our team is up to and moving around schedules quite easily. Pros The ease of seeing everyone's schedule in one place. The relative simplicity of moving around schedules as needed. Cons No apparent way (that I have seen), to bulk edit or assign tasks. For example, I have a bunch of design tasks taking place over several week or months. I want to move them all from one assigned team member to another. It seems I have to do this manually. If there is a way, it's not readily obvious or easy to pick up on. Granted I am relatively new to the software. Review Source Lyndsay M. We are big fans and have used to help organize our studio for years. Cons Well, it's a negative but a positive - it doesn't have a ton of features. Then we went fully manual, by switching to spreadsheets for schedule and project management. Float finds a nice middle ground of simplicity and interactive UI. It's great that managers can view everything from a project view and makers and creatives can look at just their own schedule. Plus the option to subscribe to an actual calendar format makes it easy to view our schedules on the go from our phones and personal devices. Cons I haven't found a way to specify what TIME of day things need to happen. Pros Graphs and charts are easy to read, allowing me to quickly see what projects I'm on and what is coming down the pipeline in the following weeks. Cons Time tracking would be a great feature to have that I wish was available, with that float could become even closer to my all-in-one app for project management. I have found the transition from my previous scheduling/tracking software pretty seamless with minimal adjustment necessary. The user interface is friendly and easy to navigate. Cons For use in my department, the main con that I've found is an inability to modify tasks created by other individuals. Pros I like that it is fast and relatively fluid to work in. Colour coding is helpful and information is organized in such a way that it's usually clear what you're looking at, even when fairly abstract. Cons Input of time for new tasks is quite clunky, at least for the way I schedule time. The tool keeps changing the total duration of a task, based on inputs in other fields. Easy to make mistakes with this. Also, When managing time/resources for myself or a team of people, I would like the ability to see both the weekly schedule and the "reports" info on the same page. Constantly flipping back and forth means the process is not as smooth as it could be, and sometimes makes it hard to remember what you're actually looking at. This is a problem, because managing the schedule/resources is already complicated - Float should make it more streamlined, not add steps. I also don't find the email updates very informative or helpful. Mostly they just tell me that somebody did something. I still have to go to the web app to understand what was done. It has integration with popular calendars so thats also a big help. The UI is pretty intuitive with a slight learning curve. Cons There are some features that a intermittently buggy, but that's to be expected as the product is continuing to develop and improve. It has a very clean design and shows me what I need to see as soon as I sign in. Never have I clicked anywhere else since what I need to know is right there. Pros The quick visibility of my schedule for the week. Cons Since I'm just an employee who doesn't actually do anything in Float, I really have no cons on my end.
