I've never had one single moment where I questioned why I made the switch. I switched over from another major high school theatre ticketing company when I had a few minor problems with them, and their platform became too confusing and not very user-friendly. I figured I'd try out Ludus. From the get go, I was mad at myself for not swithcing over sooner. This company is built to work WITH you and even FOR you. I believe service is in Ludus' DNA.

Pros

So. Many. Things. 1. When you have an idea that their software can't do, they genuinely and enthusiastically explore that idea and create solutions. Every time. That's why their platform can do sooooooo many things! 2. When you have a question, there's literally no wait time. Email them, it gets replied to almost immediately. Chat on their website, same deal. Call them??? You get a real person - a kind and helpful one. Literally any time!! Their Customer Service is incredibly accessible and monumentally helpful. 3. The ticketing is EASY! It's so intuative and when you can't figure something out, ask. As said in the second point, it will get addressed right away. I had a problem one time on my seating chart, and so I emailed quickly and then taught a class. 55 minutes later, I check my email and it is not only replied to but the issue was fixed! Incredible! 4. They are all the nicest people you've ever met. If you've ever had the chance to meet them in person at a conference or wherever, they are the type of people who you WANT to work with. I kind of wish I lived in west Michigan so I could literally work there with all of them.

Cons

That they haven't expanded yet into my home life. I feel like Ludus would run my entire household. In fact, now that I think about it, there are some Ludus features that I can absolutely use to keep my family running!

My overall experience with Ludus has been really positive. I have not had any difficulty in setting it up and building our portal to make it easy to navigate and understand for our patrons.

Pros

When I have questions about how to maximize my efficiency and my overall reach, I get excellent customer support. The ticketing for our events is seamless. Nobody struggles to use the site.

Cons

There is a learning curve in setting up some of the special things like season ticket sales. But, there are a ton of videos and tutorials that help and if you need a person to help, you can always get to one.

We are extremely happy with the Ludus platform and continue to watch for more improvements in the product.

Pros

We have been using Ludus as our primary ticketing platform for as long as I have been with the program. The Ludus staff is very helpful working thru any issues. We just closed Six. That program had specific licensing requirements for ticketing. The Ludus team helped us to meet these requirements through the Ludus platform.

Cons

When trying to use a new/non-routine task, the steps aren't always intuitive. Some of our staff have gotten to a level of frustration trying to figure these tasks out. Support staff is helpful at pointing out the correct steps and once the steps are figured out, it is easy to repeat the task

Overall, Ludus has been the BEST program we have use for our small non-profit. It has saved us a ton of time and money compared to programs we have used in the past. They truly have been an absolute pleasure to work with. Ludus is super easy to use, even for staff with less aptitude with technology.

Pros

The customer service is incredible. The service itself is very easy to use, but if you need help with any issues that might arise or a problem you cannot solve, the staff at ludus is there to help you out. With just a tap of the chat box, you are connected with a staff member and guided step by step through the process of helping you solve the issue

Cons

For our non-profit, Ludus has everything that we need to do what we need to be done. The one impactful thing that is an issue for our non-profit is the integration with Quickbooks.

Pros

Your support is outstanding. I have always received quality help. When I use the chat people listen and are very helpful.

Cons

The ticket printing was a little challenging at first, but once again, with help it is smooth now. My parents run the box office with ease.

Built for theatre and very useful in the educational theatre realm. Reliable and consistent costumer service, and a good interface!

Pros

As a busy high school director I really appreciate the support team. They are always quick to respond and help with even simple tasks that I just can't figure out. The Ludus seating chart method is amazing. I have been able to create dinner theatre seats as well as full auditorium seat for our major musical. Finally Ludus makes purchases, donation, fundraising, and payout easy, they have the simplest fee structure and were truly built for theatre, especially at the high school level.

Cons

My administrators have trouble understanding the fee format. In most cases Ludus is cheaper but not in all and when we as theatre teachers argue that they "don't" understand it. I wish I had an answer this but I am happy this is my only con.

I'll never use another ticketing product - I'm a die hard Ludus fan. It's easy, simple, endlessly customizable - fantastic service and isn't yet another thing for me to 'manage' - it just works.

Pros

I love the easy of use - for both the client/end user, as well as for me, the admin - it's so simple to use and manage, and the customer service is GREAT. If I ever have a question, no matter how odd, the folks at Ludus always get back to me almost immediately with help and answers.

Cons

My one dislike, if anything, is something super minimal - when a customer orders a ticket, the QR code isn't by default in their email - they have to select how they want to receive the ticket itself. It's always retrievable, but in an older building with awful wifi, it makes it one extra step my patrons have to navigate.

Ludus is easy to use, learn and operate. A comprehensive and easy to understand guide is provided to help even the most novice user the ability to use the system and become a pro. If something is difficult to tricky, support is available right there in the chat to assist.

Pros

I love that Ludus has been designed for the performing arts and around the needs of arts organizations. The customer support is superior. The ticketing process is easy and straightforward with multiple options that can be tailored to a variety of productions. The technical support is quick to resolve issues and bring new, well thought out innovations to the platform. The fee's are the best value for the features compared to other platforms. Ludus provides a comprehensive ticketing platform designed for arts organizations and continues to evolve to meet the ever changing needs of performing arts for all levels of programs. Simply put Ludus is the best!!

Cons

I hope that in the future, their will be the opportunity to bring more customization to the platform in the splash page and other pages throughout the platform.

Overall, I am more than pleased with Ludus and have recommended it to colleagues from other organizations.

Pros

From the admin perspective, Ludus is easy to use, reliable, and user friendly. Customer Service staff members are truly amazing - competent, courteous, quick to provide solutions/recommendations, and very respectful. Setting up events is pretty simple although I have to ask questions (see my note on the great Customer Service). Payout is quick and easy. This helps.

Cons

Our patrons tend to be on the "senior" side of life. Sometimes they don't understand how to get their tickets even though it is clearly spelled out. Most don't understand about downloading things to their devices. They want printed tickets and often do not see or read how they can do this themselves and/or request "real" tickets.

Ludus has been a great system for event ticketing and marketing. It continues to grow and offer more components within the system making it a true one stop for events.

Pros

Ludus makes event ticketing and marketing easy and gives us one central location to store data. We are able to send sponsorship requests, event info/reminders from one application for a low price. With the continuous updates we are finding more and more ways to use this for our shows.

Cons

There are areas that may not be as intuitive as I would like, but the more time I spend in the system the easier it is to navigate.
