### "A great system for our drama department"

Ludus has been a great system for event ticketing and marketing. It continues to grow and offer more components within the system making it a true one stop for events.

Pros

Ludus makes event ticketing and marketing easy and gives us one central location to store data. We are able to send sponsorship requests, event info/reminders from one application for a low price. With the continuous updates we are finding more and more ways to use this for our shows.

Cons

There are areas that may not be as intuitive as I would like, but the more time I spend in the system the easier it is to navigate.

### "Ludus: The Great and Helpful"

Outstanding and so helpful. The tutorial videos are very useful. I think I like the "chat" feature the best because it is so easy to get an answer to your question in "real time."

Pros

The prompt and helpful staff...they have saved me so many times! Just so customer centered. I have never had to wait longer than 24 hours for an answer to my question. That is so wonderful.

Cons

Sometimes I think it is a little difficult to figure out exactly where the features are located. Updating the splash page is always confusing to me. And I am not sure what all of icons stand for

### "Loving Ludus"

We are so thankful for the support over the years. From Little House on the Prairie to Hadestown Teen Edition Ludus has been along side our theatre journey for over six years now.

Pros

Ludus staff is always so readily available to answer questions and problem solve. The website is user friendly and Ludus is always finding new ways to meet the needs of programs.

Cons

It would be nice if Ludus was able to have create QR codes for our public domain that we can add to our posters. We have to create it each show.

### "I'll never go back to the old way!"

I cannot imagine going back to my old way of selling tickets. I want to invest in ticket scanners and card readers to make the process even easier.

Pros

The ease of planning an event and posting it. Especially from the box office view it is user friendly and helps me stay organized with budgetary information. Also, all of my customer service experiences have been wonderful!

Cons

I feel like transferring and resending ticket confirmations is almost hidden behind the amount of buttons I need to press to get the task done.

Overall, I love Ludus. I have nothing but good things to say to anyone who asks about the company. I will keep using Ludus for as long as I am in charge of my space.

Pros

You name it, I like it! The top of the list is customer service, followed closely by the company's appreciation of its customers.

Cons

If I had to get nitpicky, the least thing I like the most is that I don't have the ability to pull attendance records easily for the season. I may be able to do this, but I just haven't found an easy way to do it.

I have nothing but positive things to say about Ludus. Between the functionality and the customer service, Ludus is something I highly recommend and I also recommend it to other people looking for different services that they offer.

Pros

I love the versatility of Ludus. I can collect payments for different things as well as sell tickets to our productions. It is also very user friendly and the customer service is top tier.

Cons

There is nothing I don't like about Ludus that I can think of. I have had other companies reach out to me trying to get me to use theirs but I have nothing but positive things to say about Ludus.

### "Best Ticketing System I've ever Used"

I've been using Ludus for a year and what finally got me to change over was their COVID/social distancing seating. They had this and how to do refunds out to their users within a week of lockdown in March of 2020. My previous ticketing system still doesn't have either of these options in their system. Also, I can't say it enough but their customer service is worth using them. They are there to help at the time a show goes live if it is a live stream or if it is opening night, someone is just a phone call/email/webchat away.

Pros

This software is the most user-friendly system I have ever used. It is quick and simple to get up and running as an administrator but also as an end-user super simple to navigate and purchase tickets from. Furthermore, I love their tutorials and their customer service is the best I've ever experienced.

Cons

The only major complaint is logging out is not intuitive for some of my coworkers but this is the most nitpicky thing I can think of.

This was our first experience with an online ticketing system. Previously we had handled ticketing through a cumbersome adaptation of our music school registration system that generated an email when then had to be copied into a database. Ludus has reduced our office workload significantly. It has been a pleasure to work with \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] and the rest of the team. We hope to work with them for a long time to come.

Pros

The user interface is clear and relatively intuitive for such a complex system, as long as you are willing to read the various help documents. The most important "feature" of the system, though, is the responsiveness of the customer support team. We have almost never requested a customization that wasn't executed quickly, or posted a question that wasn't answered almost immediately. The only time we requested a change that turned out to be a programming challenge, the team did what we needed "behind the scenes" without any problem. We have used AnywhereSeat extensively during the pandemic, and support for the inevitable issues that arise during streaming was always available when we needed it. Our patrons, most of whom are not "digital natives," have adapted to the patron interface without a lot of issues. Basically, it just works! We have not had a lot of experience yet with in-person, reserved-seat shows (thanks, COVID!), but our tests so far indicate that will work as well as the rest of the system.

Cons

\*Patron\* support in AnywhereSeat needs a bit of work. We plan to ask for an FAQ document for AnywhereSeat patrons/viewers, who call us about technical issues that neither we nor Ludus have any control over. If our experience so far is any indication, our suggestions will be welcomed and acted on quickly. The Ludus reports took a bit of getting used to, but our bookkeeper has figured out how to find the information we need.

Reason for choosing Ludus

We had extensive demos from both Ludus and Vendini (now AudienceView), and were impressed with the flexibility and responsiveness of the Ludus system and Zach's willingness to listen to and respond to our questions. Less so with Vendini, who seemed bent on giving us their pitch rather than listening to what we wanted to know. Arts People was recommended by a local theater group, but didn't have the reports we needed.

We solved to big issues for my events. The first is that we are easily providing the option to use a credit card and purchase tickets online ahead of time via Ludus. This reduces wait times on the day of the performance and provides options for our audience to purchase with methods other than cash. The second problem we solved is that by using ludus, and a bocca systems printer we are no longer having to throw away unused tickets that were printed specifically for the show. We print exactly what we need and use their generic ticket stock. This is better for the environment and our budget.

Pros

I like that its easy to set up and get started. There is a minimal amount of paperwork that needs to be done. The best part is its easy for your audience/the general public to use. With other companies at a previous theatre I worked for. I remember that transition to online ticketing encountering a ton of problems with the audience not understanding how to use the system and making mistakes. So I was preparing myself for a similar experience when I decided to make the transition to Ludus at my current job. I was pleasantly surprised that I had no complaints, or issues with audience members using the Ludus Platform. I also love the customizable splash page. All around it was a great experience and very low stress.

Cons

This is by no means a deal breaker for me. The reporting features are a little clunky and while they do offer a lot of customization there are still a few reports that don't exist. I had to print multiple reports to meet record keeps requirements.

### "Ludus solved our ticket problems"

I love Ludus and can't imagine moving to another ticketing company. I have introduced Ludus to other colleagues who rave about it as well. Ludus is exactly the kind of company we should be supporting: creative, hard-working, responsive to customer feedback, accountable...the list goes on and on. As someone who is responsible for providing our patrons with ways to interface with our organization, we are proud to have Ludus be the portal through which many of our guests are introduced to our program.

Pros

So many great things about Ludus! I always think the easiest way to tell what a product will be like is the interaction with the staff producing that product. Here, Ludus is an A+. An online chat feature is embedded in the site and I always got a response within minutes whenever I had a question. I submitted some ideas for features and they listened and implemented them! While you should need much help using Ludus, if you need it you will have it at your fingertips! In terms of actual features, that were game changers for our public school performing arts department: ability to create your own venue map, online reservations and payment, variable priced seating, ability to pass on credit card fees to patrons or to absorb them, dynamic social distancing option for seating at events, ability to track sales and proceeds easily, fast/accurate payment after events, and a culture of continuous improvement that clearly exists among the staff at Ludus. They are always testing and rolling out new features!

Cons

The one weak area for Ludus is the reporting interface. You can get what you want out of it, but it can require a little search to find exactly what you want.

### "Excellent Product "

Exceptional. Customer service is always on top of things and extremely helpful. The team is always working to stay current with the needs of the times we are living in - for example, developing a way to socially distance seats as tickets sell. Overall, I have consistently been impressed with this product, team, and innovation. Not once have I ever thought twice about using Ludus.

Pros

Ludus really took a lot of the business stress out of directing a high school theater production. I run a small program, without a lot of staff to assist. Ludus took the biggest time consumer - ticket sales - and streamlined the process by allowing patrons to purchase their own tickets and print them or have a picture on their phone to show. The ability to livestream through Anywhere Seat was also extremely helpful last year. Customer service is always amazing - fast and helpful.

Cons

The only issue I have ever had with Ludus is that sometimes figuring out how to do something can be a bit confusing. Got example, when I needed to switch someone’s reserved seat to a handicap assessable seat or how to refund a ticket. It took some doing on both counts, but I figured it out. Customer service was helpful as well.

### "I love Ludus "

I have been blown away by the quality of the work. The customer service is out of this world. Most questions are answered within just a few minutes and all of my issues have been handled professionally and expediently.

Pros

The software is easy to use. We were able to save a lot of money compared to other ticketing services. The point-of-sale the seating charts the reserve seating and the customization of the website allows us to be a fully functional theater at a fraction of the cost of other sites

Cons

The only drawback is that there are so many customization features for creating our website and the look of our page that I don’t have enough time to explore them all.

The cost was in our price range and the ease of which we could work with the site was amazing.

### "The only product you need for virtual software"

Absolutely fantastic.

Pros

Transitioning from our old and expensive virtual ticketing system was SO easy. The team helped me build two auditorium maps (the thing that kept me from transitioning sooner)..and I was up and running within minutes. There is such a variety of options for customization it's crazy, and so helpful and when I ask for help, they are right there..I do not need to make an appointment. When they told me they could link my virtual performance from another company( that I HAD to use) into their system so I only had to give my customers one link for virtual or in person performances, that just did it. I'm a fan for life. For my uses at the MS and HS level, I've not used anything better and cannot advocate enough. I have enough to stress about, and now, I do not about my tickets!!

Cons

Sometimes I have to look hard for what I want...but, most of that is learning Ludus process vs how my old system did things. Not really a con on THEIR end....

Reason for choosing Ludus

I talked to other director friends of mine and it seemed like it would be a good fit.

### "Ludus: Tickets in a Snap"

My experience with Ludus has been extremely positive! The staff is very knowledgeable and very willing to help their customers. I am truly happy with this company!

Pros

One of the best things about Ludus is the use of the software. I found it to be easy to set up my show, actually set up social distancing, and make it easy for my patrons to be able to select their tickets and receive them either digitally or physically print. I think that my patrons truly appreciated that, and felt more at ease knowing that they were going to be socially distanced in a time when social distancing has been extremely important. The customer service is exceptional. If I had questions I had them answered nearly immediately or as close to that as possible. The associates are kind, care about the programs, and truly want to help their patrons. I have recommended, and will continue to recommend, this company to several other performing arts companies in my area. Being a director in educational theater, knowing that my ticketing needs and data reports are being handled outside my organization or for my organization, was one less thing a busy director/producer/educator needed to worry about. They made it so easy!! I can’t recommend this company enough!

Cons

Truly, I don’t have a lot of criticism for the software. I heard no complaints from my patrons; they seem to enjoy the fact that it was easy to obtain tickets as well as the comfort of knowing that their seats were being buffered and socially distanced.

### "Perfect solution for managing theater ticket sales"

Reserving tickets for will call and selling tickets online to be printed at home are the main problems that this solves for us. Our patrons have found the solution easy to use. As an administrator, I am very happy with how easy the software is to use. I have used 5 different ticketing platforms over the years and I prefer Ludus.

Pros

Ease of use and customizability is the best part of this software. I also love how the team provided much needed features for streaming during Covid.

Cons

The only feature I miss compared to some competitors, is the ability to send email marketing campaigns. However, I found other solutions that do this just as well for free.

Reason for choosing Ludus

Ludus provided similar features, was easier to use, and had straightforward pricing.

### "Small Organizations NEED this software"

Pros

We are a small rural school district. We can’t afford super expensive ticketing systems. Ludus’s user experience is unmatched and provides top-notch services for the least amount of monetary investment possible.

Cons

I know they’re working on this, but being able to manually add patrons into the system without them making a purchase would be helpful!

### "Schools and Arts Organizations Should Choose Ludus!"

Pros

Ludus is an intuitive product that is easy to learn and implement. They are forward thinking and always finding new ways to improve, even in a global pandemic. On top of it all, their customer service is second to none. I would strongly recommend Ludus to any school or arts organization. Their web-based ticketing software has saved us hours of time and money and has been a very positive change for the St. Johns Public Schools Theatre Department.

Cons

There isn't anything I dislike. Ludus continuously uses feedback from their customers to improve their product. We asked for more support videos and tutorials and they delivered. We asked for social distancing tools and they delivered. I don't have a single negative thing to say about this company or their product.
