### "Easy, lego-like no-code builder for websites!"

January 11, 2025

5.0

My overall experience has been fulfilling and wholesome as it not only lets you build beautiful custom designs but also gives you an easy to add interaction setup ✨

Pros

Love it! Has been my source of income, passion and output of creativity for the past 3 years! As someone who loves crafting designs and turning them into websites without coding it offers everything needed in an easy no-code lego-like setup ✨

Cons

No con as of now. But just has a steep learning curve :)

### "The only web hosting platform I use for my clients."

October 23, 2025

5.0

I host my website and all my client's websites on Webflow. (Independent medical practices) I think it's going to become the new industry standard, especially because it integrates so well with Figma and Relume. With the AI features they are building out, it will become easier to edit overall, too.

Pros

The customization is unmatched. I'm not locked into templates. I don't have to tell my clients no. And you can tell the visual quality between Webflow and early every other web platform.

Cons

It is definitely a developers platform. It's easy to break if you don't know what you're doing. I don't think it's a platform for ecommerce.

### "Building strong experiences with minimal code"

June 1, 2026

4.0

Overall, my experience with Webflow has been excellent. It is a powerful, flexible platform that makes it possible to create high-quality websites with a lot of creative control. While there are occasional moments where the interface feels less intuitive or pricing can require some extra research, the product itself is impressive.

Pros

Webflow gives you a great balance of design flexibility and practical functionality. I really like how much control it provides without requiring traditional coding, which makes it easier to build polished, professional-looking websites while still moving quickly.

Cons

At times, Webflow can feel a little clunky, especially when managing more complex builds or trying to find the exact setting you need. There is definitely a learning curve, even for users who are comfortable with web design tools. Pricing can also be a little difficult to determine up front, especially if bandwidth or site needs scale quickly.

### "Absolutely Atrocious"

October 5, 2025

1.0

There is nothing flow about Webflow. It is a complete nightmare. Clearly there is something fundamentally wrong.

Pros

I do not like anything about Webflow. It has been insanely hard to use from day one. I am looking at alternatives.

Cons

Terrible font interface. Terrible pricing system. Tedious design environment that preserves convoluted web paradigms instead of simplifying them. Terrible localization. Terrible developer program. Terrible publishing system. Terrible Design previews. Terrible CMS item editing experience. Terrible favicon system for years. Terrible DNS system. Terrible backup-and-restore system. Terrible servers. Terrible approach to CMS population. Not enough templates. Terrible template management. No worthwhile AI available yet. I could go on for hours. I cannot stand Webflow.

### "A fantastic software for designers to build professional websites"

March 2, 2026

5.0

It's an easy software to recommend to other design professionals. Websites I've built using this software perform well and load quickly.

Pros

The design possibilities with Webflow feel endless compared to other website visual builders. I like how much flexibility there is with the animations and effects you can add.

Cons

The pricing is higher compared to other website visual builders. Not saying it's priced too high, but it is an important factor to consider.

### "Design Flexibility and user-friendly"

May 29, 2025

5.0

As a service-based business, we’re very happy with what Webflow offers. The design flexibility allowed us to elevate our brand identity and create a user-friendly, design-led website.

Pros

Gives control over layouts and design features, wasy to manage and create the design we want to implement. Performs well on Google and it's SEO friendly. Its built-in CMS allows us to manage blogs case-studies and update them regularly.

Cons

Webflow’s e-commerce features are relatively basic compared to platforms like Shopify, especially in areas such as inventory management and product bundles, variations etc.

### "Affordable and flexible content management system for a variety of website types"

January 14, 2025

4.0

I wanted to combine a whole series of services to develop a streaming fitness site with no/low-code. I was able to use a template, customise it, and add scripts from these various services to do this VERY quickly and at super low cost. This speaks to how flexible Webflow is, particularly it's custom CMS/database functionality. It was easy to use services like memberspace to put content behind a paywall so members could access differing amounts of content based on their membership level and since then Webflow have developed their own built in membership functionality. The site was designed tested and live within 6-weeks and I'm not a designer or developer - just have generalist digital skills.

Pros

Offers a way to design, test, stage and publish a site without having to install anything and with scalable costs. Everything is backed up and easily rolled-back to earlier versions. Elements can be managed globally and custom code (allowing integration of third-party services) is easily added.

Cons

Some niche features and issues are discussed on the support forum but don't have sufficient traction to result in fixes or improvements.

May 15, 2025

I wanted to build a custon websiite. I haven't been in the industry for 10 years. I went trough one (short) course on Udemy and built EXACTLY what i need

Pros

Low learning curve. Good site performance. Brilliant "cheap" interactions. Tons of integrations. Professionally looking UI

Cons

### "Does front-end work for designers in a quicker way."

August 3, 2025

I was heavily dependent on developers for simple design wicks. It allows me to build and ship the pages by myself, which means more time and budget saved.

Pros

I like that I can visually construct responsive sites without writing any code. It accelerates mockups while allowing me to pass off cleaner projects.

Cons

The CMS has some restrictions with more complex dynamic content. There are times I need to create work around.

### "Webflow is a niche product - the enthusiast's ultimate tool to making a visually stunning website"

January 5, 2020

5.0

In my opinion, after 2+ years of using it (which I've now switched back to Wordpress for practicality), it really is a tool for web design enthusiasts. If you are an artist, musician, or design websites for that type of crowd, I think Webflow is the ideal tool for you because of how unique and capable it is for visual design. But for the majority of web designers and developers, you may find Webflow's workflow cumbersome and sometimes impractical for most client projects.

Pros

You can design some truly beautiful and unique websites in Webflow. There's no other software that has as many features and ability to completely control the design of your website other than Webflow. No coding needed, at all. There is a learning curve but the tutorial videos they offer are second to none. Hands down, the best tutorial series I've ever seen - you'll know why when you start watching. You will find that website animations are simple to implement and can be as complex as you need them to be. Here is my best description of Webflow - limitless when it comes to visual design.

Cons

Unfortunately, Webflow is not really practical for most professional web designers and developers. There are several serious reasons why I advise against using Webflow when building websites for other businesses. First off, most people have heard of Wordpress, but not Webflow, so selling a business on using the software is difficult. It can be hard to find outside developers and designers able to work in the system, whereas you can easily hire someone to work in Wordpress. Second off, it is expensive to host a website natively in Webflow (though this feature works great), yet it is impractical to just use the export feature. You lose the CMS/blog, ecommerce, and search abilities if you choose to pass on Webflow hosting. Lastly, it is not well suited for complex, large websites and is not suited at all for any specialized backend software. Worse yet, it is too complex to work with for simple sites.

Alternatives considered

[Wix](https://www.capterra.com/p/169007/Wix/)[WordPress](https://www.capterra.com/p/131687/WordPress/)[Squarespace](https://www.capterra.com/p/143461/Squarespace/)[Shopify](https://www.capterra.com/p/83891/Shopify/)

Reason for choosing Webflow

I have previously worked with Wordpress, Squarespace, Shopify, and Wix, as well as Adobe Muse before it was discontinued. At the time, I thought that Webflow would be perfect for my client's projects as I focused heavily on visual design. Over the past two years however, I've found Webflow to be impractical for most other things and reliance on the Webflow has sometimes been cumbersome.

### "Webflow - Great for Advanced Users"

January 13, 2023

5.0

Overall, despite Webflow's high cost, I believe it's a great option for relatively simple websites that aren't too large. If you want to create a large blog or news site, I would suggest Wordpress because you won't have to pay for your site scaling as you would in Webflow. Webflow's editor is not very scaleable, but the things you can accomplish with it are pretty advanced if you work hard (for example, I made a tabs section where the tabs were custom SVG shapes - I would not know how to do this in Wordpress). It's by far the most customizable web builder out there. So, if you have a good understanding of HTML and CSS and can translate that to at least figure out Javascript well enough, and if you want to create sites with a wow factor, I recommend Webflow.

Pros

Webflow is great for advanced web developers who understand coding on a deep level. Even though they market it as a no code solution, having a deep understanding of coding makes navigating the user interface so much easier and decreases the time required to learn the platform. It has a massive repository of paid templates that are amazing and free cloneables that can be copied and pasted onto your site which are equally amazing. These options can significantly cut development time. Also, Webflow makes it easy to use advanced CSS options like CSS flex or grid. Overall, there's a lot to like about Webflow.

Cons

Webflow is very expensive compared to Wordpress and page builders on Wordpress because the costs are often more than you expected. If you are a business who wants to have a blog or news section, you'll likely need to pay for their Business plan AND a CMS plan to be able to have the ability to make blog page templates and store blog article content. There are limits to the CMS items you can store, and Webflow will increase pricing tiers on their plans based on large volumes of traffic, so it is definitely one of the most expensive platforms I've seen. It is not a good option for small businesses. Also, there is a very steep learning curve to using Webflow, but that is mitigated by the excellent learning courses they provide.

Switched from

[WordPress](https://www.capterra.com/p/131687/WordPress/)

We switched to Webflow for the advanced interactions and customizability of Webflow's platform. It is generally more flexible in what you can accomplish than WordPress because you can do almost anything with simple code or by using user created cloneables. With WordPress, you need to potentially add plugin after plugin to achieve what you want.

### "The best website designer out there"

August 31, 2022

5.0

Webflow is a professional tool that I am very comfortable working with. I use it practically every day with pleasure.

Pros

Webflow is the best solution for designers who want to build high-level web experiences without the support of a development team. The design tool is the most advanced in the industry, and although it has a somewhat steep learning curve at first, it offers great freedom in design choices. The excellent design tool is accompanied by an integrated hosting solution with excellent performance and a robust CMS.

Cons

Although the potential and flexibility of the platform are very high, there are some situations in which one finds oneself having to rely on third-party solutions to turn around the shortcomings of the tool. Developing and deploying new features isn't particularly fast. In some usage scenarios, the costs are too high. Especially eCommerce solutions are excessively expensive for what they offer. Although there is an intention, I have not yet had the chance to offer my customers a Webflow eCommerce solution because it is too expensive.

### "Not Soc-2 Compliant out of the box / Does not conform to industry standards for secure websites"

February 10, 2024

1.0

False advertising. They sold us a secure website hosting platform and we learned only after doing all the work to build our website on their platform (WEEKS OF WORK) that we had to pay 49x the original price quoted in order to be permitted to add standard security headers required to make our site secure and sco-2 compliant.

Pros

Once we got our site set up, updating text was incredibly quick and painless.

Cons

We have our site on webflow and are undergoing a soc-2 audit accreditation process for our company. We have hit a snag because soc-2 requirements state we need certain headers on our website but webflow is actually blocking us from being able to add the required headers. Their rationale is that we have to upgrade to "enterprise lite" for $15k annually in order to add the standard headers. For context, we added these headers to our product websites within minutes and achieved A+ ratings. Webflow is actually blocking us from being soc-2 compliant unless we shell out $15k additional every year for the ability to add "custom" headers -- what they call "custom" are industry standard headers that any soc-2 compliant website needs to have in place. Our website is a 9 page static website with just text. I would not say Webflow is secure or soc-2 compliant given this experience, I would call them "soc-2 optional" - and only an option if you pay 49x the regular price for a basic website.

### "Amazing Website Builder for Designers "

April 25, 2022

5.0

We're currently a small team working on a product and we're not in a position to hire professional web developers to work on our website. That's where Webflow came to our rescue. The learning curve was there but over time, the nimbleness of the product helped us a long way.

Pros

The features I loved about Webflow are: 1. The website builder is so easy to use. 2. The guided demo when you get in the first time is top-notch. It got me acquainted with the interface exceptionally fast. 3. It has an easy to understand pricing plan. For someone who is new to websites, the plan allows you to clearly understand how pricing works. 4. The template library and component cloning features are majestically good. We've been able to deploy complex animations and components simply by cloning them through other templates. 5. Lastly, Webflow has an amazing community that comes up with answers faster than their support team.

Cons

There isn't much to dislike but: 1. The customer support could be faster, my empathetic and responsive. 2. If they could come up with a better way to optimise sites for mobile, it would be a gamechanger.

Cons

### "Easy-to-Use Website Builder"

July 11, 2024

5.0

We've been using Webflow for a couple of years now. It is a great tool that people without coding experience can use to quickly design and launch various websites. We have primarily been using it for landing pages for the needs of the marketing team. As we're a startup, the dev team is often busy with improving the product, and the marketing team doesn't have its own web engineer. Therefore, tools like Webflow allow us to quickly prepare the assets needed for our marketing campaigns without being blocked by the projects of the dev team.

Pros

As someone without any prior knowledge of Java and HTML, I enjoy being able to build my own landing pages for the needs of the marketing team without having to involve the devs too much, saving their capacity for higher priority items. I like that the changes are implemented real-time, so you can preview what the website will look like once published.

Cons

The templates can be pricy, but it's not too much of an issue for us. The customisation only goes so far, too.

### "The No-Code Revolution"

March 23, 2022

5.0

Overall Webflow is an awesome product and has helped us create a grade A website with an amazing turn arround.

Pros

Webflow is a website builder that does not require any coding skills. Webflow has everything you need to build your own website, from the ground up. You can start with something basic and then add on features as you go along. The best part about this program is that it allows for collaboration with other users of the site, which makes building a website together much easier than in the past when everyone had to do their part separately without being able to see one another's work until they were finished.

Cons

Over the last year, Webflow has been planning on increasing its cost. So that's one big con to consider in your purchase.

Reason for choosing Webflow

Webflow provides ease of use better than any other web no-code tool out there.

### "Webflow"

November 27, 2023

5.0

The visual editor is intuitive and easy to use, even for those without coding experience, and it gives me complete control over the look and feel of my designs. Webflow also offers a great selection of templates and components, which can save me a lot of time and effort. Overall, I'm very impressed with Webflow and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to create beautiful and professional-looking websites.

Pros

What I like most about Webflow is its intuitive visual interface, which makes it easy to drag and drop elements to create the look and feel of your site without having to write any code. This makes it a great option for designers who want to have more control over the design process without having to learn a lot of code.

Cons

Limitations in terms of design flexibility can be frustrating at times.

### "A Superb All-In-One Service For Design, Hosting, Blogging and E-Commerce"

5.0

My creativity is off the charts. Yes, seriously. I no longer feel limited in my designs and that's worth every penny they charge, and for all they offer in their paid plans - it's a no brainer.

Pros

Oh my, where to start! I've been a designer for over 12 years and I've been looking for a more intuitive way of design and expressing my creativity online. I've mostly used Wordpress but was getting tired of the same 'ol, same 'ol, if you will. Websites were all starting to look the same, in other words... boring. I came across Webflow a couple months ago and let's just say, I'm in total love! I'm not quite a developer yet so having software like Webflow gives me the freedom and flexibility to still be creative and push out hyper-functional websites that actually work and look good. The code is super clean and export-able, sites are responsive - with the ability to manage/rearrange/save content for each device - and customization is top notch. Their video tutorials (and PixelGeek on YouTube - he's the coolest!) and knowledge center offer in-depth guidance and help, which is a blessing. I also appreciate the fact that I can host with Webflow as well. At this point in my career, I want everything as streamlined as possible and Webflow makes it easy and secure.

Cons

The free plan is limited but understandbly so. It's not for the faint of heart either. You have to want to learn a new method and process in order to make it work for you, especially if you're not much of a developer or deep digger (as I call it) of code. Their pricing, while very much worth it, needs an overhaul from their marketing department. It's difficult to understand what's needed. For instance, you need a Site plan as well as an Account plan, but that's not made very clear. I actually had to find the answer in their forum. For instance, if you want to host/create/manage 3 websites, you'll need 1 Account plan and 3 site plans.
