### "Does front-end work for designers in a quicker way."

August 3, 2025

4.0

I was heavily dependent on developers for simple design wicks. It allows me to build and ship the pages by myself, which means more time and budget saved.

Pros

I like that I can visually construct responsive sites without writing any code. It accelerates mockups while allowing me to pass off cleaner projects.

Cons

The CMS has some restrictions with more complex dynamic content. There are times I need to create work around.

### "Click‑and‑build web studio"

May 6, 2025

5.0

Pros

Webflow lets me build a page almost like stacking blocks: drag a section, style it, and the live preview updates right under my cursor. Grids and flex boxes snap everything tidy, and sharing a staged link for feedback is one quick publish.

Cons

Lower‑tier plans cap the CMS items sooner than I expect, and the exported code still needs a tidy‑up before handoff to a developer.

### "Webflow review"

July 24, 2025

Pros

Webflow gives more freedom to make websites with not much code. The editor is easy to use and you can write code too, even if it feels more like using ready-made blocks.

Cons

It’s a bit hard to use at the start when making the design. Also, prices go up fast if you want to do more than the basic options or change things your way.

My experience with Webflow overall was positive and great! I love how Webflow is so diverse in its ability to deliver on various levels. I am very pleased with Webflow and feel is a star in its field.

Pros

The Freedom! Webflow offers so much in ways besides design such as their great backup and save utilities.

Cons

For beginners, it is not the easiest design tool to learn if they have no experience with them.

Pros

Webflow is a reliable and easy to use website builder that only involves drag and drop to create and design websites.

Cons

The process of buying domain at Webflow was complex - it is easy anyways to point from other hosting providers through changing DNS.

Overall it's great -- I am using it for all my websites.

Pros

I like how reliable this no-code tool is and how similar it is to Figma. For web designers this is the right tool.

Cons

I don't like that I can't design with another person in the same time.

Flexibility in terms of design options, but it goes at the expense of being 'easy' to use (and as a result, not fast enough to develop with)

Cons

Pros

Webflow gives you full creative freedom to build responsive websites without coding 💡. The visual editor is super intuitive, and the ability to export clean code or host directly makes it great for fast, professional results.

Cons

Webflow can feel tricky at first if you’re not familiar with web design 🧩. Also, pricing plans get expensive if you want to manage several sites or access advanced features.

10/10 Webflow transformed my view of what can be built with a web development platform. I never thought I could build a SaaS enabled marketplace on this platform but I was able to. Highly recommend to anyone!

Pros

### "For Experienced Developers!"

January 14, 2025

Setting up the website was initially pretty easy, but I did what to change the layout theme and spent some time before realizing I’d have to start from scratch.

Pros

There are far less limitations as it relates to design when using Webflow. They also have a great start-up offer for students.

Cons

It is not very approachable to the average individual looking to start up a website. You need to have foundational knowledge of HTML and/or CSS or you may encounter challenges and need lots of tutorials. Also, if you change your mind about your chosen theme, you essentially need to start over, you can’t just change it out.

### "The worst no code website builder"

January 13, 2025

1.0

Pros

Not much. It's supposedly good at SEO features but it's unwieldy for a nontechnical person to get started with as far as "no code" goes

Cons

It's not intuitive and their billing is confusing. I was charged for 2 seats even AFTER I removed a team member because you have to also separately downgrade the seats you have. That's just unnecessarily complicated. Your seat count should just be tied to the number of people in the workspace.

Web flow works well and is our preferred platform at https://www.webbydesign.co.nz The flexibility that the platform provides for design is not found in any other platform that competes with Webflow.

### "My Webflow Review"

March 2, 2023

4.0

Pros

Its pre-built templates offer a tremendous amount of freedom to customize them to fit my brand identity. Whether it is the layout, colour scheme, fonts, or other design elements - I have complete control over them and create a website that is truly unique. The templates are designed with responsiveness in mind, optimizing them for mobile and tablet devices. Such optimization is absolutely necessary today, as a greater proportion of people are accessing websites from their mobile phones and tablets.

Cons

I don’t like the compatibility issues it has with other software and systems. If the software is not compatible with other tools or operating systems, it can be frustrating for users who need to integrate it into their workflow. Also, I think the software is expensive, especially if they are on a tight budget or have limited funds for software purchases.

### "The top tool for no code websites"

March 14, 2022

5.0

I really enjoy using Webflow as often as I can, it is a great product that fits many types of use cases and I will continue using it in the future for my projects.

Pros

Webflow gives you the flexibility to do more or less anything you could ever want in a website, without having to code. It is infinitely customisable and once you understand how it works, is an extremely powerful tool for creating low to medium complexity websites. There is a whole community using the product, which makes it very easy to find answers to problems that may arise. It is also great because there are people creating specific libraries and components specifically for webflow, so it is a great way to fast track web design. It is a great option for a quick website, as well as long term pages that you may want to build. The CMS makes it an extremely powerful tool too, which makes the possibilities for creation endless.

Cons

The learning curve of the software can be a little challenging at times, especially if you are a non-technical user. I personally started with quite good knowledge of HTML and CSS, so it wasn't super difficult to learn, however there are some quirks that are made for the average user that may make it a little confusing for people with existing knowledge of web design.

### "Webflow is a niche product - the enthusiast's ultimate tool to making a visually stunning website"

January 5, 2020

5.0

In my opinion, after 2+ years of using it (which I've now switched back to Wordpress for practicality), it really is a tool for web design enthusiasts. If you are an artist, musician, or design websites for that type of crowd, I think Webflow is the ideal tool for you because of how unique and capable it is for visual design. But for the majority of web designers and developers, you may find Webflow's workflow cumbersome and sometimes impractical for most client projects.

Pros

You can design some truly beautiful and unique websites in Webflow. There's no other software that has as many features and ability to completely control the design of your website other than Webflow. No coding needed, at all. There is a learning curve but the tutorial videos they offer are second to none. Hands down, the best tutorial series I've ever seen - you'll know why when you start watching. You will find that website animations are simple to implement and can be as complex as you need them to be. Here is my best description of Webflow - limitless when it comes to visual design.

Cons

Unfortunately, Webflow is not really practical for most professional web designers and developers. There are several serious reasons why I advise against using Webflow when building websites for other businesses. First off, most people have heard of Wordpress, but not Webflow, so selling a business on using the software is difficult. It can be hard to find outside developers and designers able to work in the system, whereas you can easily hire someone to work in Wordpress. Second off, it is expensive to host a website natively in Webflow (though this feature works great), yet it is impractical to just use the export feature. You lose the CMS/blog, ecommerce, and search abilities if you choose to pass on Webflow hosting. Lastly, it is not well suited for complex, large websites and is not suited at all for any specialized backend software. Worse yet, it is too complex to work with for simple sites.

Reason for choosing Webflow

I have previously worked with Wordpress, Squarespace, Shopify, and Wix, as well as Adobe Muse before it was discontinued. At the time, I thought that Webflow would be perfect for my client's projects as I focused heavily on visual design. Over the past two years however, I've found Webflow to be impractical for most other things and reliance on the Webflow has sometimes been cumbersome.

### "Webflow changed our web design business for the better!"

May 18, 2022

5.0

Webflow has been a game-changer for our business. It's allowed us to bring web development 100% in-house, thereby streamlining our project process and putting more money back into our pockets. Can't recommend it enough!

Pros

I love how Webflow really captures the best of all the major website platforms. It has the customization of a traditional WordPress website, but without the code bloat and frustrating maintenance. Webflow has the ease of Squarespace when it comes to allowing our clients to use and maintain their websites themselves, making it the perfect choice for our web design/development business.

Cons

There's not a lot to dislike about Webflow! It's an up and coming platform, so certain features such as ecommerce and blogging are still lacking compared to other platforms. However, Webflow is hard at work to continue to improve in these areas.

### "The perfect website builder for designer"

April 30, 2022

5.0

In the end, I'm happy with Webflow. It's an amazing platform for designers, but it's definitely not enough for advanced website building. You can use it just for landing pages, personal blogs, portfolios, and local business websites. If you need advanced functionalities you need to hard code them (losing the benefit offered by the platform) or you need to chose a different platform.

Pros

The UX of Webflow and its functionalities are perfect for every designer that wants to approach web design. It empowers designers to build award-winning websites with granular control over the final output. The Webflow hosting is blazing fast, the code generated is clean and lightweight, and the CMS functionalities are great.

Cons

For a platform so good is incredible how many cons there are with Webflow: - it's not GDPR compliant, and they are actively and deliberately ignoring this issue - it doesn't have a multi-lingual system. You are forced to rely on third-party apps, that add a huge monthly cost for the maintenance of your website - the e-commerce side is incredibly weak compared to other players - the CMS is capped at 10k items. It may seem a lot, but if you automate CMS library enrichment you end up consuming them quickly - every item is capped at 30 custom fields. Again, 30 may seem a big number, but if you used conditional display logic, you can quickly consume those 30 custom fields (and there are other small limitations). It's limiting also for advanced blog structures, like affiliate blogs that need comparison tables. - the general development of the platform is incredibly slow. They haven't added relevant features for years! They even removed the client billing features (I wasn't a fan of it, but they said that they removed it so they can focus on more relevant features, while they are not releasing anything!) - some standard components are not accessible according to WCAG, and you have to rebuild them - a lot of basic components are not pre-built, so you have to custom code them

### "Once I found Webflow, I NEVER turned back!"

September 18, 2020

5.0

I love Webflow, and could spend all day counting the reasons, but here are the top 5 that created a nice business use case for my clients who are more than happy to proceed with Webflow. 1) Contributors can edit almost any element of content right on the page. Click on a photo, and bam... you can upload your own instead. Click on some text that's inside of a show/hide div, and bam... you're typing away right on the page so you can see how it's looking without having to bounce to a new window every step. This single feature is the strongest draw for my clients as we all know what WP has to offer. 2) NO PLUGINNS necessary! nothing to update, configure, or crash as Webflow is constantly improving features and taking care of system updates for you. The danger of having so many plugins and composers mixed into a WP site is just that.. danger to a small business who has no staff or staging site to test the latest updates. Basically, Webflow takes the guesswork out of making a professional custom site. 3) Solid Support and hours of training videos that are frequently updated/added to. 4) NO CODING NECESSARY. A basic understanding of HTML and CSS will truly help, but unless one is adding in an iFrame or custom code element, there is never a need to write CSS code, JS code, Angular JS, PHP, and so-on. -allowing all us designers to soar with fast paced visual editing. 5) Awesome templates, and one can paste content and structure from one site/account to another!!

Pros

\-Most important- EASE OF USE with it's visual interface-see next -The GUI is very similar to the Adobe Creative Cloud software as it uses tool pallets instead of tedious forms and fields. -Contributors can edit RIGHT INSIDE THE PAGE vs the WordPress back-end feel that gets folks lost. -The automation of multiple image sizes per view -Minifying scripts and code -Custom code insertions are as easy as drag/drop -Intuitive interface knows when one is using similar classes and suggests them while creating new -Client Billing is easy and a Dream to setup including a pinch of the cut for yourself -Setting up hosting is lightning fast with a proficient DNS record understanding.

Cons

\-Because Webflow is built for professional use, Admin edit access for a site is setup so only the Webflow account holder can access and edit the site at an admin level. This becomes a huge issue for clients who only want to contract my work upfront. Contributors can surely edit content, but should be able to be authors/admins. There are "Team Plans" but they are costly. So- in order to allow my clients Admin access, I would either have to give them my account info, opening up to them deleting other clients sites, or I must have them setup their own webflow account. -Due to this, I must transfer sites to client accounts once my design is complete if they want to be the Admin after hand-off. suggest much better setup here please~

### "The No-Code Revolution"

March 23, 2022

5.0

Overall Webflow is an awesome product and has helped us create a grade A website with an amazing turn arround.

Pros

Webflow is a website builder that does not require any coding skills. Webflow has everything you need to build your own website, from the ground up. You can start with something basic and then add on features as you go along. The best part about this program is that it allows for collaboration with other users of the site, which makes building a website together much easier than in the past when everyone had to do their part separately without being able to see one another's work until they were finished.

Cons

Over the last year, Webflow has been planning on increasing its cost. So that's one big con to consider in your purchase.

Reason for choosing Webflow

Webflow provides ease of use better than any other web no-code tool out there.

### "Webflow - Great for Advanced Users"

January 13, 2023

5.0

Overall, despite Webflow's high cost, I believe it's a great option for relatively simple websites that aren't too large. If you want to create a large blog or news site, I would suggest Wordpress because you won't have to pay for your site scaling as you would in Webflow. Webflow's editor is not very scaleable, but the things you can accomplish with it are pretty advanced if you work hard (for example, I made a tabs section where the tabs were custom SVG shapes - I would not know how to do this in Wordpress). It's by far the most customizable web builder out there. So, if you have a good understanding of HTML and CSS and can translate that to at least figure out Javascript well enough, and if you want to create sites with a wow factor, I recommend Webflow.

Pros

Webflow is great for advanced web developers who understand coding on a deep level. Even though they market it as a no code solution, having a deep understanding of coding makes navigating the user interface so much easier and decreases the time required to learn the platform. It has a massive repository of paid templates that are amazing and free cloneables that can be copied and pasted onto your site which are equally amazing. These options can significantly cut development time. Also, Webflow makes it easy to use advanced CSS options like CSS flex or grid. Overall, there's a lot to like about Webflow.

Cons

Webflow is very expensive compared to Wordpress and page builders on Wordpress because the costs are often more than you expected. If you are a business who wants to have a blog or news section, you'll likely need to pay for their Business plan AND a CMS plan to be able to have the ability to make blog page templates and store blog article content. There are limits to the CMS items you can store, and Webflow will increase pricing tiers on their plans based on large volumes of traffic, so it is definitely one of the most expensive platforms I've seen. It is not a good option for small businesses. Also, there is a very steep learning curve to using Webflow, but that is mitigated by the excellent learning courses they provide.

Switched from

[WordPress](https://www.capterra.com/p/131687/WordPress/)

We switched to Webflow for the advanced interactions and customizability of Webflow's platform. It is generally more flexible in what you can accomplish than WordPress because you can do almost anything with simple code or by using user created cloneables. With WordPress, you need to potentially add plugin after plugin to achieve what you want.

### "Great website builder with a huge range of possibilities"

5.0

Overall experience is very good, in fact I really enjoy working with Webflow as it is a very good solution for 95% of every usecase. The Webflow API is great and makes it easy to connect other services to the platform.

Pros

With Webflow you gain full design control without the need to code the page. The results are as good as your design skills and when you set up everything right, the site loading speed is very fast due to clean code that is generated.

Cons

Some features in ecommerce are not implemented which makes Webflow hard to implement in some cases (manual taxation in e-commerce, GDPR compliance)

### "Webflow"

November 27, 2023

5.0

The visual editor is intuitive and easy to use, even for those without coding experience, and it gives me complete control over the look and feel of my designs. Webflow also offers a great selection of templates and components, which can save me a lot of time and effort. Overall, I'm very impressed with Webflow and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to create beautiful and professional-looking websites.

Pros

What I like most about Webflow is its intuitive visual interface, which makes it easy to drag and drop elements to create the look and feel of your site without having to write any code. This makes it a great option for designers who want to have more control over the design process without having to learn a lot of code.
