### "Webflow"

November 27, 2023

5.0

The visual editor is intuitive and easy to use, even for those without coding experience, and it gives me complete control over the look and feel of my designs. Webflow also offers a great selection of templates and components, which can save me a lot of time and effort. Overall, I'm very impressed with Webflow and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to create beautiful and professional-looking websites.

Pros

What I like most about Webflow is its intuitive visual interface, which makes it easy to drag and drop elements to create the look and feel of your site without having to write any code. This makes it a great option for designers who want to have more control over the design process without having to learn a lot of code.

Cons

Limitations in terms of design flexibility can be frustrating at times.

### "Complete power and customisation for building high end websites!"

March 9, 2023

Absolutely great! You need to keep a cool head and not try to get a site done in 2 weeks without first learning the system.

Pros

Complete control over the brand, design, user journey and experience with no need for development!

Cons

It has taken 2-3 months of learning to get up to speed. It's a powerful system and needs time to learn. PS - I have no coding experience!

### "Intuitive Website Building with Webflow"

February 20, 2023

5.0

Webflow is an excellent website builder that provides a range of features and functionalities to help users design and develop professional-quality websites. It's intuitive, easy to use, and requires no coding skills, making it ideal for both beginners and experienced developers.

Pros

Webflow is an exceptional website builder that provides a range of features and functionalities to help users create professional-quality websites without any coding skills. Its user-friendly interface is intuitive, making it easy to design and develop websites. Additionally, Webflow provides a variety of customization options, including pre-built templates, drag-and-drop functionality, and a powerful CMS system. These customization options allow users to create unique and visually stunning websites that stand out from the crowd. Furthermore, Webflow's built-in SEO optimization tools help websites rank higher in search engine results, which increases visibility and drives more traffic. Lastly, its responsive design ensures that websites are optimized for mobile devices, providing a seamless user experience across all devices.

Cons

While Webflow is a powerful website builder with many advantages, there are a few potential cons that I have noticed. Firstly, there is a learning curve involved in mastering its many features and functionalities, which may be challenging for beginners or those with limited website-building experience. Secondly, Webflow's e-commerce features are relatively limited compared to some other website builders, which may not be suitable for users who need more advanced e-commerce functionalities.

### "A Superb All-In-One Service For Design, Hosting, Blogging and E-Commerce"

November 15, 2019

5.0

My creativity is off the charts. Yes, seriously. I no longer feel limited in my designs and that's worth every penny they charge, and for all they offer in their paid plans - it's a no brainer.

Pros

Oh my, where to start! I've been a designer for over 12 years and I've been looking for a more intuitive way of design and expressing my creativity online. I've mostly used Wordpress but was getting tired of the same 'ol, same 'ol, if you will. Websites were all starting to look the same, in other words... boring. I came across Webflow a couple months ago and let's just say, I'm in total love! I'm not quite a developer yet so having software like Webflow gives me the freedom and flexibility to still be creative and push out hyper-functional websites that actually work and look good. The code is super clean and export-able, sites are responsive - with the ability to manage/rearrange/save content for each device - and customization is top notch. Their video tutorials (and PixelGeek on YouTube - he's the coolest!) and knowledge center offer in-depth guidance and help, which is a blessing. I also appreciate the fact that I can host with Webflow as well. At this point in my career, I want everything as streamlined as possible and Webflow makes it easy and secure.

Cons

The free plan is limited but understandbly so. It's not for the faint of heart either. You have to want to learn a new method and process in order to make it work for you, especially if you're not much of a developer or deep digger (as I call it) of code. Their pricing, while very much worth it, needs an overhaul from their marketing department. It's difficult to understand what's needed. For instance, you need a Site plan as well as an Account plan, but that's not made very clear. I actually had to find the answer in their forum. For instance, if you want to host/create/manage 3 websites, you'll need 1 Account plan and 3 site plans.

### "Webflow : Unleash Web 3.0"

August 3, 2021

Overall I'm completely in love with Webflow and its features also the community and the brilliant Webflow University videos are hilarious and educational at the same time. Kudos to the team at Webflow.

Pros

The best way to build websites for sure. Being a designer as well I missed giving my designs the right development and Webflow came in handy to overcome many of those problems. Animations and everything is easy as well.

Cons

I would love to see more built up components that can help speed up the process.

Reason for choosing Webflow

### "The best website designer out there"

August 31, 2022

5.0

Webflow is a professional tool that I am very comfortable working with. I use it practically every day with pleasure.

Pros

Webflow is the best solution for designers who want to build high-level web experiences without the support of a development team. The design tool is the most advanced in the industry, and although it has a somewhat steep learning curve at first, it offers great freedom in design choices. The excellent design tool is accompanied by an integrated hosting solution with excellent performance and a robust CMS.

Cons

Although the potential and flexibility of the platform are very high, there are some situations in which one finds oneself having to rely on third-party solutions to turn around the shortcomings of the tool. Developing and deploying new features isn't particularly fast. In some usage scenarios, the costs are too high. Especially eCommerce solutions are excessively expensive for what they offer. Although there is an intention, I have not yet had the chance to offer my customers a Webflow eCommerce solution because it is too expensive.

### "Webflow: A game-changing website design platform"

December 21, 2022

5.0

I have been extremely satisfied with my experience using Webflow for my website design needs. The platform has exceeded my expectations in terms of its capabilities and user-friendliness. It has allowed me to create professional-quality websites quickly and efficiently, and I have received numerous compliments on the designs I have created.

Pros

I have been blown away by the capabilities of Webflow as a website design platform. The drag-and-drop editor is intuitive and makes it easy for me to create professional-looking websites without any coding knowledge. I also love the ability to design and customize my own templates and elements, which has saved me a lot of time and effort.

Cons

One potential con of Webflow is that it does have a bit of a learning curve. While the platform is easy to use overall, there are a lot of features and functions to master, and it can take some time to become proficient. However, Webflow does offer a variety of resources, including video tutorials and a helpful community forum, to help users get up to speed.

Reason for choosing Webflow

I have tried several other website design platforms in the past, but none have compared to Webflow. The drag-and-drop editor is much more intuitive and user-friendly than others I have used, and the customization options are endless. Additionally, the fact that I can design and customize my own templates and elements has been a game-changer for my workflow. Overall, I would highly recommend Webflow to anyone looking for a powerful and easy-to-use website design platform.

### "I can't stop recommending Webflow to everyone"

December 4, 2019

5.0

Webflow is the best thing that has ever happened to my business.

Pros

As a small business, it's not uncommon to be the one wearing all of the hats in your business. I'm a photographer and I've designed websites for myself through Wix, 22slides, 4ormat, Squarespace, Wordpress, Virb and finally... Webflow. I'm not exaggerating when I say Webflow is the holy grail of customizability and ease of use. For the past 10 years, I've hated doing website updates or overhauls. Now, I look forward to creating websites in Webflow. Using Webflow inspired the confidence to design more websites for fun, including one for a personal project! They all look beautiful.

Cons

This honestly may be something I haven't figured out yet, but I don't think you can use animations within CMS pages.

Prior to getting the webflow recommendation, I needed to re-do my website from scratch. All the website builders I was familiar with fell into a pretty aggravating dichotomy: either you can use Squarespace/Wix/Virb/22slides/4ormat, etc. and there's pretty much zero customization possible or you can use WordPress, which is antiquated, difficult to translate to mobile and overall a huge pain of a builder. My sister told me about Webflow, I set up a trial and fell in love.

### "Not Soc-2 Compliant out of the box / Does not conform to industry standards for secure websites"

February 10, 2024

1.0

False advertising. They sold us a secure website hosting platform and we learned only after doing all the work to build our website on their platform (WEEKS OF WORK) that we had to pay 49x the original price quoted in order to be permitted to add standard security headers required to make our site secure and sco-2 compliant.

Pros

Once we got our site set up, updating text was incredibly quick and painless.

Cons

We have our site on webflow and are undergoing a soc-2 audit accreditation process for our company. We have hit a snag because soc-2 requirements state we need certain headers on our website but webflow is actually blocking us from being able to add the required headers. Their rationale is that we have to upgrade to "enterprise lite" for $15k annually in order to add the standard headers. For context, we added these headers to our product websites within minutes and achieved A+ ratings. Webflow is actually blocking us from being soc-2 compliant unless we shell out $15k additional every year for the ability to add "custom" headers -- what they call "custom" are industry standard headers that any soc-2 compliant website needs to have in place. Our website is a 9 page static website with just text. I would not say Webflow is secure or soc-2 compliant given this experience, I would call them "soc-2 optional" - and only an option if you pay 49x the regular price for a basic website.

### "It is A Great tool, However the User Experience could be Better"

October 21, 2022

4.0

Webflow makes it simple for anyone without coding skills but with some design experience to develop responsive websites. Additionally, Webflow offers free, fantastic templates for nearly any type of company, agency, and portfolio. We have used Webflow to design websites for many businesses and clients

Pros

Utilizing Webflow is simple. Drag and drop method for creating great websites, no coding required. The theme can be downloaded by anybody, modified to suit their needs, and turned into a live website in few minutes. The finest no-code platform for creating any type of design is without a doubt Webflow. Every CSS attribute, every HTML element, and a variety of CSS and JS interactions are available in Webflow. And not a single line of code was written to make any of this happen. Webflow does not employ abstracted widgets and components, in contrast to other website builders. You get all of the essential building blocks and elements available in HTML and CSS with Webflow. So therefore, one can easily use it to create just anything so far you can imagine it.

Cons

It lacks certain crucial capabilities, such as the capacity to replicate designs between different media sizes or between different pages. Additionally, there is no method to omit pages from the site map without switching to a fully manual sitemap, nor is there a means to copy entire pages from one project to another.Lastly, the user interface needs some improvement to make it more user friendly.

### "Webflow is a powerful and flexible website creation tool."

March 17, 2023

5.0

Webflow is a top-notch website builder since it offers a wide variety of tools and resources to its users. It is perfect for both new and seasoned programmers because to its user-friendliness and lack of coding requirements.

Pros

Utilizing Webflow has allowed me to gain access to features that would have previously required a large time commitment, and it has also greatly accelerated the rate at which I can construct websites. Incredible tools for sharing knowledge and replicating success stories are provided by the community at large. Webflow is a crucial investment for my company.

Cons

While there is some recognizable learning curve, the available learning materials are among the best available elsewhere on the web. Getting customers to adopt a "new" service they know little about is my biggest issue. Customers are often hesitant to commit to Webflow due to their lack of familiarity with the service. While the benefits usually speak for themselves, more resources to help convert customers would be welcome.

Overall, my experience has been good. I'm learning every week and getting better, faster and as I learn more, everything becomes easier.

### "Bad support and bugs"

December 7, 2020

1.0

In two adjectives: BAD and ANNOYING, I regret it.

Pros

In the beginning, I thought Webflow would really be the tool to help me solve the problems I was hoping to solve, but not, they created new ones that this time, without a website developer around one can't fix it. Then you ask for support help and the answer you get is "it seems you are asking for web development services, we don't offer that, please ask for help in the community". This has happened to me endless times in the last 2 years with LEGIT questions on bugs I found in this tool. I do NOT recommend that you use it or switch from WordPress or something else thinking you are really going to get the next level here, because you are not. I hope this feedback doesn't get canceled or blocked because it is real and can help other people to make their decision.

Cons

Bad support No support for multiple languages Limit to 100 pages (then everything crashes) Bugs!!!!

### "A promising alternative to Wordpress"

April 3, 2019

5.0

After using Webflow for some projects I can say that is the best match for: Small to medium-sized projects brochure-ware like or content-driven where your clients want to edit the content themselves, the editor interface is quite good and you can limit what the editor can edit so you won't end up with a broken page and your clients won't be worried about breaking it either.

Pros

Webflow editor simply rocks, some website builders and over simplistic and as I developer I feel chained of it's developers choices. Others are way too messy, unnecesarily complicated. Somehow Webflow has found the way to integrate an easy to use, clear and powerful editor with a powerful and fast hosting. Overall I love that I don't need to worry about the sites speed or Security (a big thing if you are a Wordpress developer, for example). Developing on Webflow feels way easier and to the point experience, no plugins to update, no broken pages or "Oh, the cart stopped working last night", no xss vulnerabilities to attend and the list goes on. I also love that they included a CMS feature, that it's where most of their competitors lose against Webflow. Symbols are also really cool, saving up a lot of time! Last is great that you can restrict what the editor can or can't change! Why should a blog writer be able to change the site layout?

Cons

The e-commerce feature is a bit raw yet, for example, you can't add an "Add to cart" button out of the single product view, for some use cases that would add an extra click to the interaction. Consider simple elements like different tickets for an event that you already explained, taking a user to a single view makes no sense there. Also the e-commerce plan is expensive, in my opinion. For that price, I could use Shopify for example. The pricing plans sometimes feel a bit complicated to understand, maybe renaming Account plans for Freelancer or Reseller plans could help.

### "Quickly develop websites with minimum development knowledge and experience"

April 26, 2022

5.0

The vocabulary and work process is very similar to what front-end developers have, so there's a bit of a learning curve but personally, I loved it for that.

Pros

I used most of the WP website builders in the past, and while they're really good, none of them has the capabilities of Webflow. There's a video tutorial for any questions you might have, and there's a good community who are willing to share. But at the end of the day, what makes it a lot more desirable than WP website builders like Elementor, is that it's very low-maintanance. You just make a website and it works with no problem, no matter how old it gets.

Cons

The pricing model is not the best for people who are not willing to constantly work with their website. It makes it more expensive for the small brick and mortar businesses to have a website, compared to other solutions in the market.

### "Amazing Website Builder for Designers "

April 25, 2022

We're currently a small team working on a product and we're not in a position to hire professional web developers to work on our website. That's where Webflow came to our rescue. The learning curve was there but over time, the nimbleness of the product helped us a long way.

Pros

The features I loved about Webflow are: 1. The website builder is so easy to use. 2. The guided demo when you get in the first time is top-notch. It got me acquainted with the interface exceptionally fast. 3. It has an easy to understand pricing plan. For someone who is new to websites, the plan allows you to clearly understand how pricing works. 4. The template library and component cloning features are majestically good. We've been able to deploy complex animations and components simply by cloning them through other templates. 5. Lastly, Webflow has an amazing community that comes up with answers faster than their support team.

Cons

There isn't much to dislike but: 1. The customer support could be faster, my empathetic and responsive. 2. If they could come up with a better way to optimise sites for mobile, it would be a gamechanger.

### "Build quick websites with advanced functionality"

May 31, 2022

4.0

i was looking for a site builder which would be open enough to let us setup custom styled components and tweak prebuilt templates to our needs. And that it what Webflow has given us. Using a template as a starting point and building up from there.

Pros

The possibility of adding custom functionality into the current and prebuilt templates makes using Webflow super cool. Most of the common parameters of a website can be modified only using menues and dgra-and-drop features. But that is not where it ends. You can add own scripts and classes if needed to really make the site shine and BE different from other website builders.

Cons

The bulkyness of the interface is sometimes slowing you down and if you want to create a really simple site there are too many parameters to set. A simple one-pager turns into a day of work at the end. Because almost everything can be edited. Also image manipulation and optimisation is not the best. Repositioning an image in the background can turn into a nightmare + add the mobile and tablet breakpoints and it can be easier to code the site from scratch.

### "Visual development, among other things"

February 21, 2023

I can build websites considerably faster with Webflow than I could with conventional development. I can use a single platform to publish a site, integrate CMS components, and add animations.

Pros

I'm delighted to design websites again thanks to Webflow. There is a slight learning curve, but once you get used to it, it becomes extremely natural and they do a great job with teaching. They are all supporters of the no-code movement, which improves speed and design by enabling the creation of amazing online experiences with little to no need for customised html, css, and javascript. The personnel is also fantastic; the purchasing process was among the finest I have ever experienced, and the installation team and success team have been very supportive throughout the entirety of our relationship.

Cons

The platform's inability to allow for co-editing was the most frustrating issue, but it has been fixed as of last week. The time it takes to publish the site is now the most aggravating aspect, but I have no doubt that the team will quickly fix this issue given how excellent they are at listening to customer input.

Reason for choosing Webflow

Because I did one project with Webflow and I think it is easier to come to great design with it.

### "Nice content editor, easy collaboration, user control a bit too restrictive "

September 11, 2021

5.0

Very convenient CMS system, easier to use and maintain compared to WordPress but not that flexible when it comes to collaboration and giving some admin rights to other users

Pros

It's very easy to edit your website, very easy to design as well. Everything is hosted and maintained by webflow, no need for plugin update, security concerns etc. So way more suitable CMS system for clients who have no experience editing websites and for whom you need to ensure they wouldn't mess something up

Cons

Lack of full SEO options and optimization tools like for WordPress Some options only available to admins and cannot be granted to other collaborators

### "Webflow is a web designer's holy grail"

January 18, 2018

5.0

My web design company can afford to support smaller businesses and non-profits, because our overhead is MUCH lower, now that we don't need to hire a development team.

Pros

Webflow has been a game changer. It allows you to develop a website in a visual way. Unlike Squarespace and Wix and the like, it's not a web builder. You actually use HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to build the website. For designers, it's crucial, because you can design websites and forego hiring a developer to code it. Truly, Webflow has impressive functionality, and they're always improving.

Cons

I wish Webflow had the functionality for native e-commerce. Multiple languages, native forums, and chat functionality would also be nice. While you can integrate all of these features from external plug-ins, it would make the development process much smoother if these functions were native.

### "Mobile Apps Stay AWAY, webflow is useless to you"

November 28, 2023

1.0

We built an entire website prior to learning that webflow is completely incompatible with deep linking to our app, LITERALLY OUR CORE PRODUCT. We had to build an entire service just to route around this issue. It cost us thousands of dollars and hundreds of man-hours to do properly. There are hundreds of users asking for this feature for years and it is literally one of the simplest aspects to modern web development and they have been silent on the matter.

Pros

The user interface is easy to use if you don't need access to advanced tooling or highly specialized customizations.

Cons

BEWARE: If you are building a website for a mobile or desktop app, Webflow is useless to you. You can not access basic aspects of the website, such as the well-known folder that you need to link to external applications in the OS. You can not deeplink using Webflow at all. Webflow might be a great tool for you if you are using it for another company/use case, but as a cross-platform developer, it is a dead end.

Not supporting the well-known folder is a nonstarter for any company developing mobile software.
