The interface is clean and well organized, which makes it easy to navigate dashboards, filter data, and quickly find the information needed. I also appreciated how the system presents data visually through charts and graphs, helping complex information become easier to understand and analyze. Another strong advantage of Grow BI is its ability to integrate data from multiple sources into one centralized platform, saving time and reducing manual work. The ability to integrate custom spreadsheets with real time data certainly make it a product to drive insights for marketing teams. It lacks the ability to create anything using ai or with any sort of speed. Pros The best features about Grow are the native integrations that pull in data. This makes building your metrics and dashboards easy. Their support team and engineers are very knowledgeable and helpful along the onboarding process. Cons The lack of templates for dashboards, especially in Marketing, where 90% of the dashboards and metrics are the same for all businesses, is my only frustration. Taking Google analytics and building a web traffic 101 dashboard should be simple, it just takes too long. Once you do take the time to set any metric and dashboard up, it does a great job staying updated and will show you exactly what you built. Not only do you have a limited number of meetings with the person who helps with the onboarding but you also have a time limit to complete those meetings. Once we had it half working, the connections kept breaking every time something changed. It was too hard to pay attention to what you changed in a spreadsheet or system and whether that effected the link in Grow. Again, we are a rapidly growing business so things are changing a lot. I sent a message to my "account manager" and she scheduled a meeting with me and a professional services manager. When it was time for the call, we were informed by the PSM that we no longer have an account manager. The PSM helped me through the process of requesting a cancellation of our contract. We went over a month with no response. All of a sudden our old account manager was back on our team. She informed me there is no way to get out of the contract and we would have to pay for additional help. The system is truly too robust for our business and even though it doesn't work for us right now, that doesn't mean it wouldn't have worked for us in the future. After this customer service experience, once our contract is over, we will never refer or come back to this company. It's astonishing to me that they won't do the right thing to potentially gain a customer back in the future or the potential referrals from our extensive network of other real estate homebuyers. Pros It is a powerful tool for someone who has the time to dedicate to it. The connections were easy and there were a lot of ways to customize. Cons The fact that they nickle and dime you when you need help and won't let you out of your contract when you realize it's just too powerful of a tool and does not work for your small business. CEO Computer Software Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "HORRIBLE Experience" January 17, 2025 1.0 I have found the experience from the beginning to be poor, I over looked it originally as their product is decent. The ongoing poor customer service is why we are leaving. The invoicing was atrocious, our CPA accountants could not make sense of it. Their system is not set up for Canadian credit card charges, always charged USD, then their solution was to return our payments but then charge us again only to result in the same issue. We are a small business and do not have time for these games. Then when trying to cancel, the contract does not mention any auto renewal clause for another annual term but references another document that was never sent. This company is poorly operated with a high oprice tag and I DO NOT recommend it, particularly with other better competitors out there. Pros Decent integration that are easy to use on your own. Cons Pushy sales team. Poor Customer Service. Expensive onboarding, where after 3 times in the platform, I knew how to use it better than the on boarder. Worst invoicing and I have ever dealt with. Invoicing does not work well for Canadian clients, they cannot figure it out. For the cost vs. other options it's a great tool. It's really helped us move more towards keeping an eye on the things that truly matter in our business. Cons It's a little difficult initially to fully understand how to get the data into the system. But, once you've done it then it becomes pretty easy. Spinning up a new dashboard or new metrics is very easy. Cons API issues prevented business-critical reports from refreshing properly. We verified time after time that our queries performed in a reasonable time, yet we kept encountering errors saying "ETIMED OUT". Grow support was unable to resolve this for us despite multiple requests. Other BI tools performed fine with the same queries, this was 100% a Grow-side issue and we received no resolution. It requires you to enter and email address just to take you to a login page where the Google client can be accessed. Why can't the various log-in client options be displayed on the first page? The first is the visual appearance of grow is amazing. They have done a really good job in making it look great. It makes people want to buy and use the product. My entire team is exciting for us to finish up the dashboards and roll it out. The ability to have multiple dashboards for different divisions on your team is great. The second thing they do really well is the ability to connect all your data in one place. As a small business that is building from the ground up, we have data coming from multiple location, Google Analytics, Dropbox, our website, quickbooks, etc. Now we have a central location that we can look at all the data. It has allowed us to look at our whole business in real time. Where grow falls a little short on is the ability to manually create. Everything looks great but sometime you cant show all the necessary data you need to, in the way you want to. The metrics are static and you dont have the ability to manipulate the data the way you want to, like where a number goes or create a needed metrics. For the most part some of the things we are trying to do are more robust, that typical businesses might not notice the constraints. Grows dashboard inability to be flexibility in its designing makes it hard, if there is something your really want to show but are unable, you are kind of locked in The main complaint is the full screen mode. We love the look and feel over it but for us where we would use this the most would be in a presentation. Where we would present the different dashboards. We dont like how you cant click to the next dashboard. The only option is to wait a minute or exit out and go to the next. If you have to exit out you lose the dramatics that the full screen dashboard creates. I have the ability to scroll over the numbers in full screen but I cant just click next dashboard. That part makes no sense to me. I can live without a metrics because it looks so great but If I cant present it, that creates an issue. Overall, it is a amazing tool, that I believe my company will be growing with. It has got great reception from everyone that we have shown too. And the main purpose is it is suppose to sell the business and how well you might be doing. It does a great job doing that. The customer support is really great. The people at grow are really helpful. Having a support team that can assist you means a lot. They are looking out for your success. Cheers Pros I like the look and feel of grow. I'm a single user and I know there are more capabilities I'm not using right now so we are planning an internal training from our more experienced users to leverage the full array of features. I was shown the dashboard and where I could filter and that was all the instruction needed to get to the data I track on a weekly basis toward our goals as a company. However, if the grow team can plug some of their shortcomings, they'd be a far superior product with a loyal user base. They're headed in the right direction though. Pros User-friendly interface and intuitive design, which make it easier to navigate and use. The typical workflow has a learning curve though (connection > warehouse tables > datasets > metrics) which can be confusing at first to the uninitiated. Customer support is knowledgeable, fast and excellent. Cons 1\. Datasource options need to be expanded. 2. The data inside suggested warehouse tables can be improved to be made more relevant. Too much unnecessary information that defeats the purpose.3. The grow team can do a much better job of creating educational resources on how customers can make the best use of each connection. Pros Grow is a user-friendly, advanced tool that has allowed our company to fully understand metrics from every department. It is incredibly powerful in its ability to pull in data from every platform we use and compare the data against each other in every imaginable style of metric. The customer support is very helpful, and they will not only help you solve your problem, but advise on best practices - helping you learn how to work better in the software. Cons The new feature releases they make are very powerful, however they require quite a bit of manual work to implement.
