I like it very much . The integration prices are too high but the rest is fine.

Pros

Reports and analysis is so good and it's so user-friendly and so easy to learn and train for employees.

Cons

They are so busy when it comes to customer service but if you wait for them they definitely fix your issue but the problem is they're super busy for calls. But honestly for the past w years I had to call them like 2 times and the system worked so good all the time.

### "One of the most intuitive POS systems I have encountered"

When I began using Toast there was fear of a learning curve however I immediately adapted to it as it seemingly was designed by the professionals in the industry who use it. Everything is where it needs to be and it is incredibly easy to train new employees on the system even without previous experience working with a POS system.

Pros

Very intuitive user interface Incredibly easy to pick up and go with previous POS system knowledge Very responsive clicks Great organization tools for menu options Split check function is much easier to use than other systems Credit card transaction time is very fast

Cons

Training entire staff over to a new POS Other than the cost of training and time for adaptation there is no reason this POS should not be ranked alongside the industry standards like Aloha and Micros

Overall good.

Pros

We were using pen and paper before this system so it has made a huge difference in mistakes. I love the online ordering feature. It has really helped streamline our business.

Cons

We had a few issues with our handhelds that took a while to get things worked out.

We have been using toast for about ten years. Customer service has always been helpful when an issue arises.

Pros

The ease of the user interface. The ease to make changes to the menu daily.

Cons

Sometimes but not always the system crashes and we have to physically restart the tablet by powering it off and back on.

Pros

I have worked in restraunts for 13+ years and toast has always been the easiest and most suffiencent system. In a dinner rush, if you have customers who have a lot of modifications, toast gives you the options to add the mods in. That leads to more accurate orders, and less mistakes= less kitchen waste etc. I love being able to track my sales throughout the night as well

Cons

Honestly compared to the other systems ive used- toast is perfect. I have no complaints.

Really like toast. However, as we grow the cost is getting quite high to test and implement new functions. Almost to the point where I am considering having a program written specifically for our business. Still, toast is great.

Pros

Customer Service is excellent. Easy to teach and easy to learn. Intutitve

Cons

With costs of integrations and addons feels like we are getting nickled and dimed.

Pros

That is super user friendly. Fast and overall a great system. Seriously aside from what I write in the CON section. Toast REALLY is the best software POS system I have worked with. Hands down.

Cons

The credit card processing fees they initially promise you they can match your current rates which they DO NOT its a LIE. Then customer service never gets back to you or passes you on to someone else then someone else and someone else. Never follow through with their promises and never can get ahold of your sales rep and he doesn't reply or follow through when you finally do get him on phone. Beware they will not match your credit card rate like they promise you. They will overcharge you if you don't watch exactly what they are taking out of you bank account. You will get charged for modules they say they will " give you for x amount of months free" and then continue getting charged and have to wait months and months and make a million phone calls to try and get your money back for 'free trials they charged you for and your money back for when you told them you didn't want them at all after "free trail" and they continue charging you. Biggest advice is get your credit card rates in clear upfront writing and sit down and figure it out. Make sure they are not screwing you. Because its not only happened to us but several other businesses.

The online ordering before they started jacking my customers .99 an order.

Cons

YOU DO NOT WANT TOAST!THEY JUST ADDED A .99 FEE TO ALL OF MY CUSTOMERS WHO ORDER ONLINE!.We already pay for that service.. We are invested in this register system. NOW THEY PULL THIS!!.The ONLY OPTION IS TO OPT OUT OF ONLINE ORDERING.RIP OFF!!

### "A customer service nightmare"

During the discovery and on-boarding phase, Toast promised us many things. I explained our set up in detail before I purchased any equipment from Toast, and was assure that they had a hardware solution for us. When it came time to set up our system, it became apparent to me that Toast's hardware would not be compatible with our current situation. It was nearly impossible for them to understand why, or agree with me that they did not have a solution. I believe this is due to alack of communication between their sales and on-boarding team, and their technical support team.It has been over a year and I am still jumping through hoops on a monthly basis trying to get a refund for hardware and services that were never utilized by our business. We are currently using Square. Their hardware was compatible with our internet set up.

Pros

I wish I had any pros to list, but unfortunately we did not get far enough along into the process of setting up Toast to process a single payment.

Cons

Toast's customer service is incompetent at best and predatory at worst.

### "Best Decision we made in 2022"

This was the best decision we made in 2022. The customer service and offerings of the platform are next to none. This is our 3rd POS system since opening 7 years ago, and I can say with confidence, it is the best of what's around.

Pros

I love how robust it is! The search bar feature at the top makes it easy to find what you are looking for in a platform that is really encompassing of any of our retail and restaurant POS needs. I also love Quick Edit and that people on the floor can make quick changes without relying on management to go into the back office.

Cons

I wish there were a mobile app that would allow me to quickly check sales instead of having to login through a browser.

It’s been great. Customer support is very helpful. Toast Capital has helped my business stay liquid.

Pros

Easy to use. New employees catch on quickly.

Cons

Slow on credit card processing. I don’t like having to wait until Monday for my revenue to come in.

### "Allows me to work far more efficently "

Pros

The handhelds were a game-changer. Instead of running to the nearest station and waiting for other coworkers to finish, I was able to take the order at tableside. They also reduced errors significantly. When inputting orders, all of the prompts for temperature, sides, and modifications came up automatically. This reduced the number of times that orders were inaccurate. By doing all this in real-time while taking the guest's order, It made it possible to take a higher volume of tables, consequently raising sales and revenue. It also made it impossible to forget to ring in the order.

Cons

I'm not sure if it was software or connectivity issues, but we ended up offline a bit. The program was supposed to still send orders to stations offline, but it printed multiple copies. Although I have been around long enough to know how to take orders by hand and deliver them appropriately to support staff, the majority of our employees were much younger and did not. This caused chaos. The handhelds needed frequent rebooting.

We did all of our clocking in and out for all employees on the toast system along with all of our order placing. Entering products and getting them accurate sometime caused issues.

Pros

It was really easy to use once we got it set up and going. In concept it is a wonderful product, and it could be a great asset to any restaurant.

Cons

Customer service left something to be desired. At times we were on the phone with them for over 2 hours and we still wouldn't be up and running.

### "Toast for Small Business"

Toast has been very easy to use for us. It's very easy to change menu items, prices, descriptions and all that. The billing and invoicing is somewhat troublesome. When Toast charges you for things that you don't subscribe to it took me months to get it fixed while still having to pay for things we did not sign up for or use. Then it took months to get the credits. That is very hard for small businesses.

Pros

I think Toast is very user friendly. It is very easy to find reports and update menu items.

Cons

The integrations become very expensive for small businesses. We have one location and would like to use more of the integrations but are unable to due to the expense. It adds up very quickly when you add to the system.

The system itself is excellent, though their customer service leaves something to be desired.

Pros

Easy to use, easy to set up different stations (bar, kitchen, prep), very little goes wrong day to day

Cons

I've stopped contacting customer service because, most often, I know more about the system than they do. Multiple times I've called or chatted, asking for some feature to be implemented to be told that it can't be done; only to find, after some detective work by me, that it can, in fact, be done.

Pros

Toast is designed in a way that you can learn how to use all the features within minutes. It is very user friendly, and dynamic. Great for both management and staff.

Cons

Once in a while, there will be a network wide crash that causes some entry errors, and occasionally some offline payment processing errors. Toast is usually great about fixing this.

Very happy with your product, timely updates and help desk work well! Only thing is maybe targeted new equipment updates for improving speed functionality! Restuarant, bars , retail all different a little bit!

Pros

Good feed back on sales, usages, charges what I need all the time ,some of the time, once in a while!

Cons

Rather calling Toast help all the time maybe a trouble shooting guide to get to where I need to solve a problem first the toast help especially if we are open and operating easier place to start!

Love this POS System. Would highly recommend it to others.

Pros

It is an all in one POS System with many great features. I was skeptical at first and hesitant on investing in this product. Customer service explained it to me very thoroughly and I was sold on all the features. So very glad I went with this choice. They listen to the customers and accommodate our needs on additional features and so forth.

Cons

I haven't found any yet. Once I figured out how to navigate the system it was very easy. I was over thinking at first.

Overall the customer service is the problem. We were a new business so we asked them to help us set it up. Obviously all of our questions did not arise during that initial setup and they never properly set it up for our menu/service. Support was a joke in helping us thereafter. We have not even used all the modules out of frustration. We have had to make adjustments we go , but it is still not optimized after 3 years. We wanted this to work for us because it is such an easy to use and adjust platform, but, we are considering a new company after 3 years. If you are a new business and not sure how to set this up, find another company. The support team is clearly not skilled. There will be issues. They will advise you to watch countless videos. That is not support.

Pros

Relatively easy to use if set up properly. Easy to adjust menu on the fly. Offline CC processing. Payroll is responsive.

Cons

They do not give you the time of day unless they are trying to sell you something. Waste of money paying them to set it up. We can't even get good support using a free trial of their new service modules . They will just tell you how much this will increase your sales.

Reason for choosing Toast POS

They have a great platform if one is properly guided, but the support is frustrating when things go wrong.
