### "How DocSend is better than its competitors "

August 13, 2022

5.0

Overall experience with DocSend is nice as it is feasible and easy to manage the document with security just keep in mind the pricing is bit higher.

Pros

One of the best feature in DocSend is its feasible nature of single sign on feature which makes it easy to accessible as well as easy to use with proper privacy provided along with that document management and storage facilities.

Cons

In the long run the pricing is pretty much high compare to the competitors which makes it choosy if we want premium features but need to have hole in the pocket.

The way DocSend manages the document and store them with proficient privacy and security was better than above mentioned tools

### "Great Experience with Dropbox"

Overall the experience has been good and so far my documents have been saved in Dropbox which makes it easy to access instead of filing somewhere else on my device.

Pros

Ease of access and security of Dropbox is reasurring and makes for sharing documents safe and secure.

Cons

I haven't experience any "cons" of using Dropbox in the time I've been using it for our clients documents.

### "It's a good option but limited!"

April 21, 2026

4.0

It gets the job done. It's easy to track signatures which I like, but it's not my favorite program of this kind for this task.

Pros

We've used a lot of different options out there for document signing. This is really easy to use and makes sending documents for signatures quick and simple. I like how everything is organized in one place so I can track what’s been signed.

Cons

It could just be me, but it can feel a bit limited with customization, which is a problem quite a few programs of this kind have. It has taken me a little trial and error to figure things out.

Overall, my experience with Dropbox DocSend has been positive. It’s easy to use, reliable, and makes document sharing and tracking much more efficient.

### "Essential for investor & client communications"

December 12, 2025

5.0

We've used DocSend for years across all our external communications. The ability to swap out files after sending and set expiration dates has saved us from embarrassing version control mishaps more times than I can count. It's become our standard for any attachment going to clients or investors. The forced 3-user minimum on the Advanced plan is the only real pain point, but the core features are solid enough that we stick with it anyway.

Pros

Version control is a lifesaver. We've caught mistakes countless times by being able to upload a new version after hitting send. Expiration links give us control over what's out there. Use it for every external document we send to clients and investors.

Cons

Pricing structure is awkward. Advanced plan forces you to pay for 3 users minimum, which doesn't work for smaller teams.

### "Useful software for document sharing"

March 4, 2026

5.0

Good software as it shows how documents are viewed and by whom and you can add e signatures. Secure document sharing is nowadays vital to protect intellectual property

Pros

We deal with often large sensitive documents, so security and ease of sending is paramount. I like the fact it is quick to set up, that it integrates with Dropbox and I can control who sees the document and when.

Cons

The cost - although quite small, it does overlap with Dropbox. Usually the functionality of tracking page by page reading is not necessary.

### "Good document sharing tool with useful engagement trackin"

May 4, 2026

4.0

Fills a specific gap well. If you need visibility into how external stakeholders are engaging with documents you share, it does that better than just attaching a PDF to an email. Not a must-have for every team but useful in the right context

Pros

The ability to see who viewed a document, how long they spent on each page, and whether they forwarded it is genuinely useful for sales and client-facing work. Sending controlled links instead of attachments is cleaner and makes it easy to update documents without resending.

Cons

Pricing feels steep for what it is and some of the more useful analytics features are locked behind higher tiers. The interface is functional but not particularly modern.

### "Excellent service with Dropbox DocSend."

November 11, 2024

5.0

We use Dropbox DocuSend for a variety of tasks, but mainly for sending and receiving files from different departments that need to be in a secure setting, we password protect them and it always works perfectly, and we also use the tool that gives access to files for only a specific period of time to make sure that in any potential danger, we can turn off the link immediately. Dropbox DocuSend has also worked for us when tracking the engagement of our files, seeing how many people have accessed it and how are they engaging with them, allowing us to create different analytics to see the performance of our documents. It's a good platform to feel secure in and to know which one of your files are the most engaging with teams and clients.

Pros

I like that Dropbox DocSend has many security measures that can be controlled during every step of sharing to make sure that nothing wrong happens with our files. This tool is an addition to Dropbox so it makes it so much easier to use because it's already integrated and there's no need to change platforms, and it gives full control over the management of our files. I specially like that there is no need to use email because it's all done inside the platform, but I also like that there is an option for verifying access via email because it's always necessary to add that extra security step for certain files. One of my favorite tools included in this is that I am able to edit files that I've already sent without needing to send another copy, which is something that I would have to do if I used email to send it, it's a small detail but truly necessary in today's technology.

Cons

I think if I could pick anything I disliked, it would be the cost, it's a bit high but also considering that it has more security features than other options, I think it's totally worth it. It makes us feel more safe and we are certain that there won't be any risks and our files won't be harmed in any way. Besides from that, there's nothing else that I dislike, it's a good platform in general.

### "DocSend is simple and incredible."

July 11, 2021

5.0

Pros

The plan is popular contrasted with different items. It utilizes shading or textual style well indeed and utilizations serif typefaces well indeed. The capacity is basic and can be seen instinctively. All pointless data can be covered up and utilized instinctively well. The stacking speed is very fast contrasted with different items. Factual data is exceptionally exact, and it is inventive to be connected progressively. Envelope the executives is simple and all around carried out with different mists. Another extraordinary benefit is that it very well may be seen by embeddings pictures.

Cons

I have not run into a bad thing yet. I have had no issues, no glitches and no adverse responses to my utilization of the stage. I would nearly say the expense per client, yet for this quality it is definitely worth the cost and has effectively demonstrated itself to be important.

Pros

The fact that I can track who views it, where it's viewed, and how many times is a big deal whether for fundraising or business development.

Cons

### "Makes sending documents so easy! "

January 12, 2018

5.0

Ease of sending documents.

Pros

I love that you can upload a document, send it to any recipient, and still update that doc without having to blast everyone that has access.

Cons

I wish you could send electronic agreements via DocSend. Like what DocuSign does - it would be amazing to have that feature.

### "One of the best tools to measure customer engagement"

March 3, 2020

5.0

Pros

The Top-3 features I really like are: 1) viewing total time a user spent on every page to track what pages works well and what should be improved 2) custom links for the specific user to track what is relevant for him and what is not 3) integration with PersistIQ for tracking the behavior of every user without creating the custom link for everyone manually

Cons

1) The free version is very limited, you cannot even display a social preview for your documents, which makes you unable to evaluate the real impact (Docsend's icon, instead of a social preview, decreases the open rate) 2) All custom links are displayed in one list and if you're using a lot of them - it's hard to sort them and to find the right one 3) you have always keep in mind that you should use the specific link for your team, it would be better if you could filter visits by IP to screen out team visits (like Google Analytics does)

### "Document Tracking"

February 6, 2018

5.0

We are sending our documents externally, and sometimes they share it with others. We would like to prevent the spread of these files to different people. We can track who opened it and they should ask permission if they are not allowed.

Pros

It's free and easy to use. Our firm uses this platform in tracking the documents we send out externally, so we can prevent unauthorized access. We can also set an expiration date so it can only be available during the time being.

### "A great tool to easily send what would be attachments as presenations"

April 24, 2018

5.0

Pros

I like how you can take a multitude of documents, links, and graphics and put it into one cohesive space to email and easily present. I also like that the dev team is always implementing new features from customer feedback.

Cons

I don't like how people on our team can see across the whole team at other users' accounts. This makes it sort of clunky.

### "DocSend has an easy interface, and is a very user friendly tool. However, it lacks functionality."

January 10, 2018

4.0

I cannot say we had any unfortunately. This is due to limitations of the product.

Pros

User friendliness and absolutely great customer service. Overall a transparent and simple tool with a lot of helpful options.

Cons

The value of the service is far low from the exorbitant amount of money required for the subscription. In addition, the limitations seriously impede any serious transfers to be done. For instance, word files must not contain more than 100 pages. This is a big limitation for an organisation such as ours where we specifically work with large files and we want to send them encrypted. Also there is no voice or video conferencing options with the secure presentation. In a period when dozens of free encrypted file transfer services offer similar options sometimes for free, DocSend needs to really up their game and look at the market they compete with, work on the limitations of the tool, and think about the prices especially for users that end up paying 30 dollars a month for one file transfer.

### "Great Tool for Sending Proprietary Documents"

August 29, 2019

4.0

Pros

DocSend makes it easy to send proprietary documents to investors, customers, and potential partners. It accepts a variety of formats, but we especially use it to share PDFs that others can view for a limited time without saving to their own computers. It gives us more control over changing versions of documents, and removing allowed viewers after a certain amount of time.

Cons

DocSend's pricing is a bit steep, and doesn't yet support non-document formats like spreadsheets.

### "Buyer Beware! DocSend Does Not Prevent Document Downloads"

November 25, 2019

1.0

Pros

Pricing looked attractive. BUT it turned out this was a "you get what you pay for" situation.

Cons

DocuSend falsely claims that you can set the software to disallow downloading of documents. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] This is NOT true. What they don't tell you is that anyone can simply Print the document to PDF. When I challenged their customer service people on this, they claimed that they couldn't stop it, but that their software would distort the document so it is not readable. It is true that longer multi-page documents were cut off after 5+ pages, but the material that was left was only distorted by less than 10% of the content.... meaning that it is possible that a substantial leakage of your confidential info could occur. It wouldn't be so bad if they simply owned up to the lack of this feature in their software; then a buyer can decide whether the feature is necessary and the rest of the package is worth the price. But their lack of transparency on their website, coupled with their inept customer service response gave me a total lack of trust in this company.
