Developer Retail Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "How DocSend is better than its competitors " August 13, 2022 5.0 Overall experience with DocSend is nice as it is feasible and easy to manage the document with security just keep in mind the pricing is bit higher. Pros One of the best feature in DocSend is its feasible nature of single sign on feature which makes it easy to accessible as well as easy to use with proper privacy provided along with that document management and storage facilities. Cons In the long run the pricing is pretty much high compare to the competitors which makes it choosy if we want premium features but need to have hole in the pocket. Pros I liked how easy it was to securely transfer documents and other sensitive information, whilst being able to confirm with signatures of both parties. Cons I did not like the pricing nor the support received. Despite some minor UI quirks, the ability to track exactly where partners get stuck in our tech docs makes it an invaluable tool for our engineering workflows. Pros The Security features for File Sharing are excellent. I use it heavily for Document Management of API docs and architecture proposals. Setting up watermarks and tracking page-by-page analytics gives me great visibility before meetings. Cons Organizing older files is tough; the File Management UI gets cluttered when handling hundreds of technical specs. It's easy to track signatures which I like, but it's not my favorite program of this kind for this task. Pros We've used a lot of different options out there for document signing. This is really easy to use and makes sending documents for signatures quick and simple. I like how everything is organized in one place so I can track what’s been signed. Cons It could just be me, but it can feel a bit limited with customization, which is a problem quite a few programs of this kind have. It has taken me a little trial and error to figure things out. Secure document sharing is nowadays vital to protect intellectual property Pros We deal with often large sensitive documents, so security and ease of sending is paramount. I like the fact it is quick to set up, that it integrates with Dropbox and I can control who sees the document and when. Cons The cost - although quite small, it does overlap with Dropbox. November 11, 2024 5.0 We use Dropbox DocuSend for a variety of tasks, but mainly for sending and receiving files from different departments that need to be in a secure setting, we password protect them and it always works perfectly, and we also use the tool that gives access to files for only a specific period of time to make sure that in any potential danger, we can turn off the link immediately. Dropbox DocuSend has also worked for us when tracking the engagement of our files, seeing how many people have accessed it and how are they engaging with them, allowing us to create different analytics to see the performance of our documents. It's a good platform to feel secure in and to know which one of your files are the most engaging with teams and clients. Pros I like that Dropbox DocSend has many security measures that can be controlled during every step of sharing to make sure that nothing wrong happens with our files. This tool is an addition to Dropbox so it makes it so much easier to use because it's already integrated and there's no need to change platforms, and it gives full control over the management of our files. I specially like that there is no need to use email because it's all done inside the platform, but I also like that there is an option for verifying access via email because it's always necessary to add that extra security step for certain files. One of my favorite tools included in this is that I am able to edit files that I've already sent without needing to send another copy, which is something that I would have to do if I used email to send it, it's a small detail but truly necessary in today's technology. Cons I think if I could pick anything I disliked, it would be the cost, it's a bit high but also considering that it has more security features than other options, I think it's totally worth it. It makes us feel more safe and we are certain that there won't be any risks and our files won't be harmed in any way. I am able to track everything from who is opening my document, when they are opening it, what kind of device and where they are. I have been using docsend since it beginning stages and it has came such a far way and is huge now.. We use it to do e-signatures on waivers we send out as well and the open and click rate is through the roof wether you use it or not it is super simple for someone to sign a doc. Pros DocSend makes it very easy to share and manage access to sensitive information. When we fundraise, we use DocSend so that we can easily share presentations that would be impossible to control access to via standard email. Using Docsend means that we can control access to, and track data on everything we send out. We can see who views our deck, who shares/fwds it, and track our success metrics. Even better, when we make a critical change, we can revoke access to the original document and issue a new version. Cons I don't have any real complaints about this application, but one thing that would be useful is an easier way to redirect an old document link to a new document - without having to send a new link. I anticipate that this will happen so it should be fine. Its not a silver bullet, but it makes it just a little harder to hit forward and share with someone that may not have as high integrity as you'd hope. Pros I love the feedback on the decks I send out to potential investors. Who has reviewed them, how long they spend on them. Its also VERY mobile friendly so that's amazing. I've heard from 1st hand sources of companies where well meaning investors offered to share a competitor's deck (they declined). This is less likely to happen with DocSend and a link that expires on a date you set. Especially impressed with the new features that the DocSend has rolled out in the last month. They seem more willing to do so in DS than in emails. Plus, we know it when it happens. Pros It looks very nice. Overall design is easy to work with. Receiving reports, when people review, is very helpful. Cons Very difficult to accomplish certain tasks. Can't verify info stored on a space (without re-downloading) since the preview given is nearly unreadable. No sortability in the headers. Moving sections is tedious. They respond very quickly to all types of questions and follow up to make sure that everything is going smoothly or has been resolved. Pros It is extremely easy to use, and the insights I gain from the stats on visitor completion have made me a much better visual communicator.
