### "Good program with a few drawbacks"

It's met our needs in that it allows us to have a live database that our technicians and our office can see at the same time so that we all have the information that we need.

Pros

I like that the program allows us to keep records of our customers and their equipment all in one place. It simplifies and streamlines our service department and allows us to be more on top of sending out quotes to customers.

Cons

It is slightly limited on the customization side of things, such as how invoices and quotes are formatted. It also doesn't allow you to look at the pictures of equipment that you've saved to a jobsite, which defeats the purpose of saving a picture...

### "Room for improvement "

Positive for the most part. There are some major flaws when doing invoicing. For example if there are parts and labor and we create an invoice those are marked as invoices however if we delete that invoice or parts from it it is not updated back to work order.

Pros

I like that service box is integrated with quick books. I like that a lot of our business needs are under one platform

Cons

I don’t like the lack of appointments. For example we have work orders that are often assigned to multiple techs. It would be great to have opponents assigned to those techs so that proper tracking is done for hours and for notes upsales.

### "Alliance's Future Program"

We were fine with the deployment and use over the last few years but the latest price increase has us shopping.

Pros

Ease of quoting and data entry. Its cloud based. Easy to train new personnel. i'm not sure what else to write? Thanks

Cons

emails sent out end up in spam for a lot of our existing clients, meaning they do not pay their invoices without extra manual work. We also see inconsistencies by all staff, to compensate we review things twice as the details can be different each time we review an account's data.....

### "Very Practical"

Amazing, Saves a lot of time and paperwork. Saves administrative cost and time. The help with customizing at the start of setting it all up was very helpful.

Pros

1\. No more paper to file and mail out 2. Work Orders create timesheet 3. Multiple ways to access information from different locations within the software 4. Integrates with QuickBooks Online software. 5. Able to link everything from quote through to work order and then invoice. 6.Like being able to include holiday schedules in the calender etc.

Cons

1\. I wish it was easier to look at the scheduler in the phone app like it is on the computer. 2. It would be nice to have the option to open attachments that were attached in the Work Order phase when you are in the Invoice phase. 3. While pricing an invoice rather than just showing the actual dollar value profit in the job, it would be helpful to have it show the percentage profit so we don't have to keep doing the math to see where we are at as far as profit or profit margin etc. while we are pricing up the invoice.

### "Great software for service business "

Great overall, Software can be a bit hard to understand at first but the teams is helpful. Implementation with quickbook is awesome.

Pros

Canadian based and Canadian pricing, Value for money. Have Purchase ordered and price books, inventory management. Sync to Quickbook. Also have feature for equipment that help tracking.

Cons

Does not have much for sales tracking. Has some bugs but Software gets updated frequently, Price is going up but have legacy customer programs. Software has a lot of features which can be a lot to learn at first. Software only work online, so if you have no internet or cell coverage you won't be able to do anything. It has PM feature but is not very robust.

### "Great software from a Canadian Company"

Overall great software to use given that we use Sage50 Canada. Would recommend, especially if you are using mostly on computer.

Pros

The biggest pro for us is they fully integrate with Sage 50 Canada. No other software on the market does it. The also have a very responsive development team that is helpful when there's issues. It's also helped streamline our operations from paper to electronic. Relatively flexible software to adapt to individual business needs. They are also priced really competitively and they've also grandfathered us as we've been with them a long time. Very easy and intuitive to use for the most part. It's made quoting customers so much easier than what we dealt with in the past.

Cons

The app is a bit tedious to use. When you click open a work order, you have to wait til it loads a webpage. It's not super seamless for those who are using it on the phone. No real issues on the computer. Their servers will slow down and go down occasionally.

### "Service Box Rocks!"

Overall it has been very good. I would recommend. Very user friendly, very accurate, works with our accounting system.

Pros

Super easy to learn and user friendly. Hardly any glitches in software, Multi device compatibility. Easy to find information when needed, from work order, quote or other.

Cons

The follow up feature needs some work. Very difficult to dismiss alerts. I have been trying to figure it out for quite some time.

### "Service Box...meh."

Good for now but we plan on switching soon. The customer service people have to be emailed for any changes.

Pros

The CRM function helps with daily operation. The scheduling option to drag and drop are nice. Notes on customer profiles are good.

Cons

Simple tasks are made complicated by this software such as zipcode not printed on work orders, screens not properly displayed on cell phone, and the quality of pictures uploaded are not very good.

### "Feels like an unfinished product "

This is definitely a step up from organizing physical work orders or time sheets, or even utilizing different digital file sources. It’s nice to have an all in one solution. I haven’t personally tried other similar software, but I imagine there are vastly superior options out there. Knowing my employer, this is likely the cheapest option. The app feels like an early access/beta that still needs a lot of polishing, yet I haven’t seen a useful update in over a year and a half of use.

Pros

The concept. The ability to log and record and track work notes, hours, parts, to identify and differentiate between customers, job sites, units. To have all employees connected to a single network.

Cons

Overall usability is lacking. The flow and layout is often archaic and difficult. Confusing multiple options, unclear processes to find and access info you need or poor navigation render the app very user unfriendly. Very simple quality of life fixes like sorting units alphabetically go unaddressed for years. The company seems to cater more to the back end users dealing with accounting aspects than streamlining the app for the techs in the field. The result is still confusion, wasted time, duplicate or erroneous entries of notes or units that admins will need to override and fix anyway. The main idea of the app should be organization and its failing in that aspect.

Overall, the productivity of our technicians and office staff seem to have increased. No major complaints on the software.

Pros

The onboarding support offered by the team was excellent an it also covered some of the customization needed for your business. The Training that they put on for our technicians was very helpful as well.

Cons

The mobile app used by technicians, in my case is a bit clunky. It comes up with many notifications when a job is scheduled, moved or changed, but the amount of notifications tends to lead me to ignoring them all together. If it would open directly to the Web view of ServiceBox, that would be very helpful.

### "ServiceBox is great for Sales"

ServiceBox has been a huge factor in our productivity in our company. We have been able to capture everything from Notes, 3rd Party Quotes, and Photos of our job sites to make it easier for our Sales Team to help support our Field Staff.

Pros

I love how I can switch back and forth between Quotes and Work Orders and how they are linked together for finding information for my Sales Team. The transition is seamless.

Cons

I wish there was more functionality to pull data from all fields of text when searching for keywords. I would also like more filter options when searching, such as dates, relevance, Quotes and Work Orders.

We did a giant overhaul of our search options this past year, and I think most of what you're hoping for is currently available. Here's 4 tips to help you: 1. In your work order list, click on the small "advanced criteria" button under the search bar to see filters related to all manner of details. 2. In your "Settings", go to "work order" > "work order list settings" to enable all sorts of extra options in the lists you can pull up. 3. Where possible, use the master global search bar on your ServiceBox homepage, which was revamped last year to very quickly pull up anything from names, to dates, to work order numbers based on the first few letters or numbers you type. And... 4. We published a help article called "Advanced Filter Options in ServiceBox Work Order List Screen" that I think will answer a lot of your questions. I hope this helps Joel. Thanks again!

### "Good Software With Room to Grow"

I would definitely use this platform again, though there is always room for improvement. Was easy to keep the schedule and invoicing organized. A bit of a learning curve at first, but once you are using the system, its a solid tool for managing service-based work.

Pros

Was easy to create progress invoices. Wouldn't accidentally double charge for material/labour. Entering material and labour on a job was always dated. Time sheets were easy to manage.

Cons

Struggled with the online payment portal. Customer service was always hit or miss. Could never get a quick reply. Reports were not very user friendly. Would be nice if there were more automations, like follow ups on invoices.

Pros

I find Service box to be easy to use and understand and if there is a problem someone is always available to help and answer your questions. Reasonably priced as well.

Cons

Would be nice if statements could be sent through SB, and it would be nice if you could choose the date.

### "Something to Consider"

Overall it's been a good experience. The customer service is amazing and with some changes along the way I think ServiceBox will be even better.

Pros

\- Great customer service - The ability to quote, create the job and invoice all in one place - Scheduling employees is very easy - When something is typed in the search bar the whole database is conveniently searched

Cons

\- There is no app so everything is web based, which is not convenient for employees in the field. - When you type in a search bar it saves what you type so when you go back it is still there, that is very annoying. It should automatically clear. - The quoting section needs to be revamped to be more user friendly

so far, i'm pretty satisfied, i started using this app one and a half year ago, basically i have to open it everything for putting notes

Pros

it helps me to put hours and notes more efficiently, easier to review the notes when i need to, and also it keeps the info forever

Cons

if i put hours to previous pay period, i have to go back to the list to choose the previous one everytime

Pros

Servicebox is very easy to use and the scheduling tool works great. I would suggest other service/trades based businesses give it a try.

Cons

Some of the quoting/reporting tools could be improved. I'd like to see a dashboard with some KPI's or custom metrics.

### "Improoving ServiceBox"

When one work order being closed (invoiced) i am not able to reopened and check wat was done before with no intention to modifie that w/o

Usefull tool for paperless work orders and accesing customer data info. Also having history of previous work orders

Cons

Kepiing me signet in even when aplication being closed. I like option for customer to sign work order using a one of their fingers

### "Amazing software for service businesses!"

It has saved me and our staff thousands of hours, as well as eliminated errors in our workflow which used to be Excel-based.

Pros

It has a very easy work flow from initial quoting to generating work orders to invoicing. The database it uses appears to be very solid and secure.

Cons

When we started using it about 10 years ago, there were some minor bugs, however their development team is constantly doing updates so as of now, nothing to complain about!

### "1 star. Not my favorite layout or UX"

it has slowed down my ability to perform exceptional service in a timely fashion. too many bugs and issues

Pros

the ability to store photos in the database is a plus, but the software doesn't function as it should. it always chooses to save to job site regardless of what tab i have added the attachment through

Cons

it flows terribly. it does not run well on a smartphone and on PC you lose the ability to sign forms without having an accessory pad.

Been with them for almost 6 years now. Don't plan on going anywhere. We get a lot of value out of this program.

Pros

Always updating there features and good tech support. Works well with quick books. Overall no real complaints

Cons

It can be slow some times. We have team of roughly 50 but only 9 use it all day on the computer this is where we notice it.

My experience has been largely positive with very few hiccups or steep learning curves. I think it is a well thought out and managed application.

Pros

I think the standout feature of ServiceBox is the integration of all our necessary workflow items in one product; timesheets, work orders, material tracking and the ability to attach jobsite photos an notes as well as a to do list. Everything is intuitive and self-explanatory.

I would like to see development of native apps for iOS and Android as opposed to launchers for the web app. Additionally I would like to see a better viewing option for hours logged on a job, the single scroll box can be cumbersome on longer jobs with many months of entries to scroll through, perhaps a sort by date/name etc.

Cons

Down times are not fun. I need to be connected all the time and can aford downtimes. These are not good

Service box has been great for the most part. Everything is at the touch of a button. I can keep track of all my workers by just going into the app and if needed change or transfer jobs to different technicians.

Pros

I love the fact that it’s paperless as an owner I can schedule my guys with out having them back at the shop. Having them check in and check out and adding pics and notes to the service box is a huge plus as well just to protect my guys and my business if there is a conflict with billing or the job.

Cons

Getting kicked out after being logged in for some time and forgetting my pass word lol I don’t like when I make a quote for a customer and when sent it breaks down all materials and such.

### "Jump into service box"

Very easy to use makes the office more streamlined. Easy to see what your day will be when all calls are in the schedule

Pros

No paperwork keeps every thing organized and great to see whatbwas done at last call through the work notes.

Cons

Need more dropbox options. Can be very slow when out in the counties or in dead spot areas. And not a fan of having multiple people touching my screen to get signatures.
