### "Dotloop user of over 10 years!"

April 1, 2026

5.0

has been a regular part of my job for over 10 years. We use it for all real estate transaction docs, TREC forms, rental applications, leases, and so much more. It's great, and I much prefer it to other sites like Docusign.

Pros

I've used in my Director of Operations role for a real estate team since 2016. It's consistent, easy to use and manage, makes organizing and getting client signatures a breeze, and the support staff is so helpful for any issues or bugs that ever occur. It's worth the money, and reliable for all your real estate transaction needs!

Cons

Some of the customization tools can be a tad confusing, namely when you switch real estate brokerages. My team has switched 4 times in ten years, and we've had some bumps with customizing new broker info in our account.

Switched from

[Docusign](https://www.capterra.com/p/121506/Docusign/)

We switched from Docusign to in mid 2016, and it was an immediate improvement. It has more features, and we like that it's made for RE paperwork.

I have used that loop for the last three years straight and it’s easy to maneuver through the system and find the documents that I need as well as set up for online signatures

Pros

platform is very easy to use for creating contracts from existing documents and for online signatures & document storage

Cons

does charge an annual fee but is provided through my brokerage complimentary to agents

### "Warning! Do not engage e-signing with DotLoop"

January 7, 2026

1.0

Overall I will never suggest this product to any company ever. Their user contracts are not fair and put the user at a disadvantaged financially. If you need to go a different route due to finances, you will be unable to with this company!

Pros

We started using the Outlook because I was with a big box broker and it was their default e-signing system. We were already familiar with how to use it. So when we expanded to another state we started paying Ford out of pocket. It worked for us for a few years very well because we were familiar with it.

Cons

This is a warning to any potential user of.! You are tied into a contract for 12 months and whether you use the product or not you cannot escape paying out the end of your contract! There are no negotiations and no exceptions. Warning about that policy! Our brokerage used DotLoop for 5 years and always paid our bill on time. Florida association of Realtors offers a product that syncs better with the Florida forms. We are using that product now. It is a more user-friendly product through Form Simplicity I called DotLoop to cancel My subscription and was offered an appointment 2 weeks out to speak with a customer representative! I let them know that would not work for me and asked for a call back same day. I was asked what country and time zone I was in. I told them USA, eastern time. A phone call was scheduled 2 days out! That's ridiculous in a career where time is of the essence.

### "Great system "

Good! I enjoy it to send documents to clients to get signatures and it right away comes back to me. It’s easier than going to the client

Pros

You can send out documents to be digitally signed. It makes the process faster for clients instead of having hard copies

Cons

I have used another system that is much easier and has way more functions. Dot loop does not have a forms piece

### ""Dotloop: A User-Friendly, Collaborative Transaction Management Tool""

September 25, 2024

5.0

My overall experience with is positive. I find it easy to use and highly collaborative, which streamlines transaction management and document handling. The platform's ability to facilitate real-time updates and interaction with other users makes your workflow more efficient. While there may be minor limitations or occasional hiccups, the benefits of its simplicity and collaborative features likely outweigh these, resulting in a productive and smooth experience.

Pros

What I like most about is its user-friendly interface and simplicity. The platform makes managing transactions straightforward, allowing for seamless document creation, editing, and signing. Additionally, it facilitates easy collaboration with other users, enabling real-time updates and ensuring everyone stays on the same page throughout the process. This combination of ease of use and collaborative features streamlines workflows and enhances productivity.

Cons

Occasional glitches or slow performance, especially when working with large files. the platform’s interface, while generally user-friendly, could be more intuitive when navigating complex transactions. Additionally, i feel that certain advanced features are locked behind higher-tier plans, which may limit functionality for those using the basic version.

Overall I've had positive experiences with even though zillow owns them. It is an easy program to use.

Pros

is easy to use to manage documents and for esigning. It is easy to edit documents and place signatures.

Cons

One thing cannot do is allow 2 people to sign using the same email. If you have a couple that uses the same email address, they will have to have the second one sent to a different email.

### "An invaluable tool to manage documents in a transaction"

April 25, 2024

5.0

In a word, excellent. It made my office experience truly paperless and enabled me to develop a system to manage documents and monitor transactions with ease.

Pros

When I joined my current office I was told that they were paperless. I had heard that before in other environments and didn't believe it one bit. With that statement is absolutely true: I have no folders, no files in my work area other than what I'm currently working on. Everything is uploaded, managed and saved in dotloop in a manner that is more user-friendly than my previous thick folders of loose documents.

Cons

does have a learning curve. Depending on your needs and wants, that curve can be gentle or steep. I'm very adept at using software and hardware, so I'm able to use dotloop almost to its max capability. But there are agents in our office who struggle to understand the concept of how to best use the program and even how to navigate it.

### "VERY USER FRIENDLY. WHAT YOU PUT INTO IT AND USE OUT OF IT WILL SHOW"

February 2, 2024

5.0

I USE THIS WEEKLY WITH ALL MY CLIENTS AND THEIR REAL ESTATE TRANSACTIONS. I HAVE USED ANOTHER PRGRAM AND IT IS NOT AT ALL ORGANIZED AND HAS TOO MANY STEPS TO GET THE CONTRACT SIGNED AND THEN TO ADMIN FOR REVIEW. MAKES THE WHOLE PROCESS SMOOTHER.

Pros

THE FLOW OF THE ASSIGNED FIELDS ARE EASY FOR THE CLIENT TO SIGN. SAVES THE CLIENT TIME AND HAPPY TO USE IT. THE USER PUTS IN ALL THE INFO AT THE BEGINNING HELPS THE AUTO FILL TO HAVE EVERYTHING CORRECT SAVING TIME TO COMPLETE.

Cons

WHEN SIGNEES ARE ABLE TO SIGN PASS THE PART THEY NEED TO SIGN. USUALLLY USER INOUT IS THE REASON OR SIGNEE IS CLICKING THE TAB INCORRECTLY. I DO NOT THINK IT IS , I THINK IT IS HUMAN ERROR.

### "SIMPLEST FOR DOCUMENT MANAGEMENT AND ESIGN"

April 16, 2024

5.0

As a new agent I was forced to use provided by my brokerage. I felt it was burdensome and was never able to adapt. I used the form simplicity program in mls. It has become quite costly, so I decided to give dotloop another chance. Now 9 years later, I have rediscovered this product and am so pleased with the ease of preparing documents, signing and sharing the documents. BEST OF ALL accessing dotloop from my smartphone, which enables me to immediately address issues or last minute details.

Pros

I love how easy it is to prepare, share and sign all the necessary documents for my sales transactions from my laptop or my smartphone

Cons

I deal with a lot of elderly sellers who only have one email address. This is a challenge since requires a separate email for each signor.

I DIDN'T USE ANY OF THOSE PRODUCTS BUT YOUR SURVEY REQUIRED I MAKE A CHOICE FROM THE LIST. I used Form Simplicity from the Stellar MLS Cost and aggravation. (ie, issues with accessibility, periods of downtime, not very user friendly)

October 22, 2024

I love it, its user friendly and I am used to it now so I can use it fast and get the job done.

Pros

It is very easy to use, I like how you can go back and fix a document signature line before sending it out and you dont have to start all the way from the beginning like other sites.

Cons

Maybe they can incorporate a section that remembers your most common documents and theyre signature spots. even if it is a document i am uploading myslef vs a template already provided.

Pros

Cons

Pros

I like it's ease of use and how I can categorize my files and transactions. Also, customer service is top-notch.

### "Great System, Don't love the company"

July 24, 2023

4.0

Pros

has a great system, we used it mostly in our real estate transactions for digital signature, transaction management and general real estate use.

Cons

The worst part of is they have been bought by Zillow and now shares the data with them. As an agent, we put lots of personal data into this system during a transaction. We have never had a client that is ok with us sharing this data to other companies, much less a competitor in our industry.

### "Keeping me and my clients in the loop! "

December 25, 2020

5.0

Of all the real estate technology, software, tools, apps available and there are thousands I’m sure, is by far my most important tool as a real estate agent. When I first started my real estate career I literally had no idea what documents I needed to complete. My brokerage offered dotloop to all its agents. So I added my first loop, selected the option for residential seller, and voila—all the forms that I needed to have complete were right there in front of me. Had I not had dotloop, I would not have been able to complete that first deal on my own. I had never been shown what paperwork was needed. And it was so easy to use. Everything I needed was right there and so easy to use. I have since changed brokerages and dotloop made the swap super easy. I’m a bit of a tech geek and want to know all the features a software provides. So I always check for user manuals. And I loved that they offer a PDF manual. I later learned about the Certified Looper Course. I enrolled and completed the course and received my certification. The tips and tricks I learned in this course had saved me countless hours managing my transactions. I can’t say enough good things about this software. It’s my most important tool.

Pros

Most liked features include: Ease of use for user and their clients; secure; ability to add new interactive forms; export client contact information; integration with Zillow, Gmail, etc.; Co-Op docs; AUTOFILL;

Cons

A feature that I would like to see added is within each loop you have a calendar tab that you can select. Once selected you see 3 full calendar months- the entire current months calendar, previous month and following month. You can toggle back to previous months or ahead to future months. The calendar shows all the key dates related to that loop both past and present. It pulls all the key dates from all the forms within the loop to give you a birds eye view of deadlines, expirations, etc. For example, a buyer loop would show the date offer was made, offer expiration date and time, offer accepted date, inspection period from start day to final day, anticipated closing date, financing contingency dates, extension periods, final walkthru date, Date of appraisal, Warranty start and end dates, etc. The system would provide you and your client with email and or text alerts for upcoming or expired dates. One click and you see a 3 month view of all the key dates for that loop.

Reason for choosing dotloop

Broker offered .

### "Powerful Platform"

October 8, 2021

5.0

I use as a single source for all of my document and file management and retention needs. The latest and greatest Forms, Contracts, Disclosures from my real estate associations always seem to be present. I love that I can even map interactive fields to my own internal/brokerage specific forms--fields that autofill based on the info used to create a loop. I have even created some forms that will do the math for me.

Pros

Simple to use, highly customizable, very flexible yet consistent.

Cons

The mobile app leaves a little to be desired--I get that maybe it can't be as robust as the desktop platform, but it is a little bit difficult to navigate, especially when trying to download/export a document to a device to be distributed via an email account. Sometimes it can be challenging to locate older, but still active, files.

Reason for choosing dotloop

Transaction Desk is offered through many MLS's as a "benefit" of membership. However, the platform seems disjointed and difficult to navigate and organize. just seems more "logical"

### "Easy to use and always improving"

January 25, 2022

4.0

In general, it works tremendously to gather Client's information or their signatures on important documents, it's so easy to use, it helps to simplify tedious processes and procedures.

Pros

Is so easy to use and some features that may seem small are actually a great help when dealing with long documents, for example, autoscrolling to review and sign, Workflow allows for remote communic<tion between Agents and the Main Office, also, being able to pull documents from the mobile app into a desktop browser, fantastic.

Cons

Occasionally tips may cover the documentś text, very annoying, the reports lack expanded options, ie, Client Report, there are some options missing that can be added and improve

### "DotLoop - the user friendly software that everyone can use!"

April 13, 2021

5.0

As a busy, independent real estate agent, I need a product that’s easy to use for both me and my clients. When Keller Williams changed to a different product (which they provide to their agents at no charge), I opted to continue to use at my own expense. In real estate, time is money and continuing to use Dotloop was definitely worth it to me!

Pros

is extremely easy to use! There are templates that you select from and the system will automatically fill those documents in for you using the basic info you inputted (you input the info once and the system takes it from there). It allows you to track the documents, let’s you see when a client has viewed the document and even notifies you once they’ve signed. You can download, print and share those documents with other agents, title companies and clients. Great value for the busy real estate professional!

Cons

Because Keller Williams has moved to a different product, the KW forms are not updated in so I have to be mindful to use the most current document which I store separately on my hard drive.
