I was happy when I left the team and didn't have to use this any longer. I'm sure it's a good program, just not to my liking. I had to figure out how to use other programs of this type, and this one I just couldn't get it right. Pros does allow for file sharing, but I found it to be just a little confusing. I just never really got the hang of it. I like other programs much better. Cons To me, was way too confusing. I don't like this software since I found it not to be very user friendly. I know that other people I have worked with like this software, but I could never quite fully figure it out. Not in my top 10..... Real Estate Agent Real Estate Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Amazing Dotloop" November 5, 2019 5.0 Fantastic! Really like this software and how easy it is to share documents with other parties. Pros Ease of use, functionality, and archiving ability. Very easy to use once I learned the basic concepts. Pulling in documents to my loops were very easy, the autofill options were great, and the back and forth between documents and also between loops took minimal effort. Cons Only con I can think of is that most other agents seem to use Docusign, and so when I would send them something through , even as a PDF, there seemed to be complications on their end. Not sure why but I would often have to end up downloading the file and emailing it. As Keller Williams agents, we don't pay to use this software as that's paid by corporate. This helps you stay on task and creates more organization. Plus, they now sync with the MLS. Cons Sometimes, clients have trouble finding the email to E-sign because it goes to their SPAM folder. Pros I love almost everything about it - there are quite a few features that would be nice to add, but overall it's my favorite Cons The thing I like least is that Zillow owns it now. Everyone in my company is leaving because of the conflict of interest and the way Zillow has stabbed us in the back as agents. Concerned that our customer's data is no longer private and they are discouraging our clients from using us as professionals. June 21, 2019 4.0 I am able to conduct real estate transactions with ease electronically which cuts my time down from printing out, getting signatures, faxing or delivering documents, etc. The time saved is worth everything! gives me more options of use than zipform and is much easier to use. I am also able to take another agent's document and easily edit it in dotloop as a PDF. Pros is very user-friendly and has almost every feature needed to handle real estate transactions from start to finish. Cons The least favorite thing is that when executing a Residential real estate contract, the last agent needs to insert the execution date, or the last date the contract is signed. doesn't let the realtor make changes without wiping out signatures. This One item Only needs to have edit capabilities for the realtor OR it should automatically enter the execution date as the date the last party signature is input. This slows down the process GREATLY and takes out the electronic factor because the realtor has to save the final copy as a PDF, write in the execution date, and upload as another PDF - before sending to title, lending, clients, etc. - Filling in this date before final signature does not work because signature timing rarely coincides. Pros Changed real estate brokerages. Came over with lots of transactions from former brokerage. Am on my own to learn. Had to jump right in and start importing old transactions and create new ones. No in-office help. Had to depend on the online support which is excellent and got me over some major hurdles. Am on my second week and holding my own. Would probably be confusing to someone with little or no computer experience. In my experience, however, most new brokers already have computer basics which, with the help of dotloop online support, should get them through if they, like me, are on their own. Cons Many of my older clients use the same email address with their spouse. I have not found my way around this. I see why the software does not allow two people on the same signing to use the same email address. The software is extremely buggy, limited in its functionality, not mobile friendly, and provides little to no remedy for its poor user experience. The DotLoop team has not been helpful when reporting issues with this bad product. Pros The best part of my day is when I'm done using . Cons has its own set of keybindings that overrule any Windows keybindings and there is no way to disable them. Shift+arrow key moves your whole text box instead of moving a highlighting cursor. Better not bump shift while writing in a large text box or your whole field will be deleted without any undo function. Cons The interface is incredibly cumbersome, and highly inefficient for regular users. " May 20, 2021 5.0 is honestly a must have if you're in the Real Estate Industry. Having access to all board addendums and documents, sharing across the board with all parties, Dotloop is literally an all around go to for transaction organization. Pros hold all documents needed to have the perfect transaction with your Client and your team. You are able to colllaborate with documents where everyone can receive notification of signatures. As well once the deal is over you can move into a closed loop where you can always access your previous deals. Cons I do not like that if you share a document in the loop with another agent that is not on your team they have access to see your clients information and some documents they are privy to if snooping. California is probably the most document-heavy transaction process in the US. You'd think they'd design a system that would work in CA because then it will work for all of the other states. Pros I don't have to copy pages of documents for a physical file. Cons Can only enter one item per category. But in Real Estate we may have 5 or 6 amendments, 3 contingency removals, etc. In this system, you enter Contingency #1. Then when you have Contingency #2, you must join 1 and 2 together in your computer and then load this new scan which eliminates the earlier submission. How stupid? We're sorry to hear that you've had a bad experience using dotloop. You can upload as many of any document as needed. When uploading documents, you are not required to add them to an existing placeholder setup by your broker. You can upload the documents directly into the Loop and keep them separate from the other copies. For example, you may upload Contingency #1 and add it to the placeholder. When you need to add Contingency #2, add it to the Loop and do not replace Contingency #1. This way, you can have both contingencies visible in the Loop. The property management company I work for absolutely loves it! The time it saves by autofilling multiple documents is tremendous. Being able to achive the Leases so they can be accessed later to make any changes or renewals saves a huge amount of paperwork! Pros I very much like that Lease documents can be autofilled when the info is input correctly. I'm working for a new company that uses and it is much more efficient than what my prior company used. Very impressed that once the info is uploaded, it will autofill the 10 other documents we attach to our leases. Big time savings for me!! With our old system I used to have to fill in the pertinent information on each supporting document. Cons Very steep learning curve for me! I still don't have it down! I've only had to imput a couple of Leases so far, and I still haven't quite got the hang of it. I will though!! I'm determined to like it as much as the rest of my new team!
