Realtor Real Estate Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Very Useful" April 15, 2020 4.0 In the age of technology, it seems so prehistoric to have to print out documents, sign them, and scan them. I am thankful for DOTLOOP for allowing my clients to be able to log in and sign documents in real time. This bit of software has allowed me to get offers to other agents quickly and to perform all of my necessary tasks without having to worry about my printer not having ink, or that someone may not have received a document. I love the feature that shows you all outgoing messages, and that reminds me of what tasks I have yet to complete. Pros My FAVORITE feature of this software is that it is paperless. You cannot get better then not having to fumble around with a sometimey printer. I can complete, or upload any document that I may need to work with from anywhere in the world. And my clients and I have access to these documents for life. They also appreciate that they can easily sign as well from their phones/ipads/tablets, etc. It really does make the Real Estate experience 100 times more pleasurable. Cons The one con to me about this software is that it does not intuitively see the blanks on the documents that you upload. Which means you have to add each respective text block, date block, signature, intials, each time which can be time consuming. Pros Dotloop is one of the most intuitive programs out there for real estate transaction and document management and digital signing. It's easy for both me and my clients to create and sign documents on the go, which is an absolute MUST in this hot market! Cons It would be great if Dotloop could incorporate the business side of the real estate industry into the program, as well, such as adding a function to track agents' income, commissions, etc., and the ability feed information into other external programs. I Love I can set up my own groups for forms such as listing folder and buyer folder and all the docs are right there that I need for a transaction. I like that when a client signs it automatically comes back to me in the system and I am notified. Cons It is great system and I would not change anything as it has worked out very well for myself and my clients. But I find the ease, organization of Dot Loop is the best. Pros The ease and use of the software allows me to stay organized. And retrieve my documents with ease. Once you learn it, you'll love it. Pros This is a good program for having everything in one place. You make a loop and add everything to that loop that pertains to the item you are doing. Since I am in real estate, the listing and sales of that listing can go into one loop and you don't need to search anywhere but in that loop for what you need. You add contacts and can get paperwork digitally signed. You don't need to keep paper. Great for paperless files. I can go from listing to closing on a house and have everything right there. Even getting the agent paid. Send what you need to the accounting department and wa-la....it's done. It keeps an activity log for each loop so you can go back and look to see if you missed something or not. Cons The training. I learn new things everyday. Training can't be done in just one sitting. There is so much to learn and you really need a good instructor. Most of it is easy, but still, I would like more training. The support team at the 800 # is great! You can't ask for better support. It is a very popular program among most agents and vendors. It does make it easy for my clients and then it is easy to share important documents with the vendors to expedite a deal to make a smooth closing. Pros It is easy to use and I can easily add all parties to a transaction so that everybody involved in a deal can stay in the loop. I don't have to go looking up a vendor to send them pertinent information. I also like that all the documents for a contract are in one place and I can easily send out for signatures and to share with others in the transaction. It makes things really easy for my clients and expidites the deal. Cons It is not easy to delete a transaction that is no longer needed. I would like to be able to delete the deals that never made it to closing so I can clean up my page. Review Source BL Brittney L. OA Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Could Be So Much Better" March 21, 2018 2.0 Pros Easy to use. Site is clean and organized. Customer service is helpful 90% of the time. That's basically all the nice things I have to say. Cons Site could be so much better with some major attention to detail. Little things are so tedious and frustrating that it becomes a pain you have to live with. When submitted documents to review, even if you only select one, all documents you have edited will be submitted, regardless if you are actually finished editing the document or not. When you select a folder to submit to review, it still asks you which folder you want to submit to review if there are more than one folder. Submit to review button needs to be much bigger so agents don't think they have to share the folder with staff (this creates a whole new loop which confuses agents). I could go on and on, but this is the only document storage site our company permits us to use, so we have to make the best of it. Review Source Frankee C. It is a lot more mobile friendly than our previous product. We love that agents have the ability to get signatures on the go. It is easy to use, add agents, set up templates, etc. Good call-in tech care Cons I do wish I could get more agents to start using it and maybe some additional help from Dotloop for those agents that are reluctant to do so. April 27, 2020 4.0 I have found customer service to be exceptional! I always get my answers. Pros This is the most user friendly signing system I have used. I am always so relieved when I find the agent on the other side of the transaction also has DOT LOOP. Cons I do not like that I lose all my contacts and contracts if I switch brokerages. You must rely on the previous broker to allow the transfer of "MY" information. There is a work-around. I paid $10.00 to another service which allowed me to transfer all that information BEFORE my previous broker shut me down. Dotloop has cut down the amount of time I need to write an offer from an hour to 20 minutes or less. My only regret is not switching to Dotloop sooner. Cons I would like to see a feature where I can upload a 30 page document then pick, & choose which pages I'd like to discard and which pages I'd like to keep with a click of a button. It doesn't provide exact place/ page that has overlapped fields, rather just mentions letter and a number with an error message that that document can't be saved. But they seem to have stopped improving it for users. But they keep adding more ways for Zillow (which owns DotLoop) to mine every bit of information about every transaction you do. Oh also I had been paying for DotLoop myself. When my agency started proving it for all agents, there was no way to move all of my deals to the DotLoop which I now get provided by my brokerage. That’s totally lame. Pros Having all of my documents for each deal in one place is fantastic. Cons There are not enough choices for what stage the transaction is at. For instance on a real estate purchase deal the choices for status are Pre-offer, under contract, withdrawn, sold, terminated or archived. Where is “accepted offer”? Each listing has a tile where it gives you a brief overview of the deal you are working on. It helps when managing a transaction. I like that you can upload multiple documents are at time and that you can store templates in the loops. I also like you can save multiple documents as and create a single PDF of all of them. Cons There isn't much I dislike about Dotloop execpt for the fact that you cannot mass export all of the data in your loops at a time. You have to pay for a service such as Dropbox do to this for you. The only work around is manually exporting everything one by one. Pros Dotloop made it simple to manage transactions, and keep up with what deals were in the pipeline for my real estate transactions. Cons Dotloop really thought of it all! We use it throughout our company, and I use it with clients regularly. It is so easy for them to get the email and sign docs on any device. I'm pretty sure you don't even have to make an account-- although it is wroth making an account! Anyway, great experience overall. Pros The best thing about this software is its convenience. You can have paper work sent to clients, signed easily and sent right back within minutes. Props to this company for keeping up with the times because this is the future of documents-- online. Cons One thing I find meticulous is that you have to enter a specific "sign" or "initials" box everywhere you need a client to sign... its kind of time consuming! It would be nice if the system could recognize regular documents and identify the already established signed boxes to complement them with the e-sign box. Also, you have to go back and assign each one to a client! Sheesh! It's still better than long hand, don't get me wrong! But there is definitely room for improvement there. Pros Dotloop is a master in streamlining the transaction process in making it easy to keep my documents and communication all in one place.
