User requires minimum experience to familiar themself. I have used several software, I can say marketman is certainly the best! Cons Phone support needs to be more prompt! Good luck trying to figure that out if you ever have to. Pros I think if this integrates with your POS - it is a reasonable software. There are a lot of companies that do similar - integration is probably the most useful thing so make sure they integrate. If not I wouldn't consider them. Cons Extremely Frustrating Cancellation Process – Beware Before Signing Up MarketMan is a fairly easy-to-use SAAS product and getting started was simple enough. We used it for several years, despite the fact that it was never integrated with our POS system — which made it clunky and inefficient compared to competitors. We finally made the switch to a much better, integrated platform. That’s when the real headache started. Trying to cancel MarketMan was like jumping through flaming hoops. They pulled the classic move of referencing “contract terms” and a required 60-day notice — which I tried to provide. Instead of simply processing the cancellation, they responded with calendar invites and offers to “jump on a call” to show me what the software could do. After years of being a paying customer, this was insulting and incredibly tone-deaf. I made it crystal clear: just cancel my account. Charge me for the 60 days if you must. I don’t care — just cancel. Instead, they dragged things out with useless back-and-forth emails, hoops to jump through, and more pointless invitations to talk about features I’ve already used and decided weren’t worth it. It's the kind of dark-pattern nonsense that gives SAAS companies a bad name. You are not incurring costs to support me during the "notice period" — you’re just trying to trap customers into paying longer than they want to. I shouldn’t have to email a dozen people or waste time scheduling calls just to stop paying for a product I no longer want to use. MarketMan, maybe take a look at the new “click-to-cancel” law that was passed — it exists because of tactics like yours. If you want software that works with your systems and a company that treats its customers with respect — especially when they want to leave — I strongly suggest looking elsewhere. Attentive to the needs of our business. Great software that drove efficiency across multiple lawyers of the business, from inventory control, recipe costing and accounts payable. Pros The software is great on mobile platform. Invoice scanning with line item receiving is huge for us. Cons Wish it had the ability to calculate nutritional values for our recipes. Cons As with any other software, there are some limitations to what can be done, however, MarketMan team are ALWAYS there to support and provide a solution. Pros The fact that it is cloud based and is able to give us live results. The integration with iKentoo PoS and Xero (even though this has been problematic for months). Cons The very poor smartphone app - forces us to use laptops for stock counting etc. The poor response time to errors in the system - developers have taken months and to date issues are still not resolved. Pros Dashboard gives you a great overview of every financial aspect of your business. Has a controller, you will have real-time data to allow you to make sound financial decisions, What I appreciate the most is how fast and easy it is to navigate from portal to portal and your work will always get saved, as the system will prompt you the save before exiting. When inputting Invoices using the manual option, it is extremely user-friendly to audit Inventory Items, Update Prices, Issue Credits and upload scanned Invoices. Cons I think the one thing that is missing from Market Man is the ability to make payments directly from Market Man. It's extremely helpful to have the ability to track costs of not only inventory items, but also menu items by building recipes to see the exact breakdown of costs and profit margins. Cons There are little inconveniences in the software that I would like to be fixed/improved. The different stock UOM for the same product makes it pretty difficult to keep control and count. Pros Online capabilities. The system is great to set top and the stock control is really impressive Cons The PAR levels should be interactive and look at the usage trend to order a 7day, 10 day or 14 day stock holding. Pros As administrator is was an easy and intuitive to set up for a multi-unit chain. Being able to obtaining accurate actual to theoretical costs by building out our menu recipes was not very difficult. Really like the invoicing scanning feature and having the ability to have images of the invoices stores with the reconciled invoices. The systems mobile application is easy to use and convenient for the operators. Cons As we are a chain enterprise we use a multi-warehouse system with our main Distributor, US Foods. The support team has a very solid understanding of food costing which also makes using the program that much easier. Personally, I am a huge advocate of doing one thing and doing it right. Marketman Does inventory and food cost controlling extremely well. Cons It would be nice if integrations took a little less digging on the restaurant side. It would be very helpful if there was the ability for a restaurant to build a custom item level report similar to the Cost of Goods report in which we could put specific items i.e chicken and get a set ALL day/week/month usage. Pros Over all the system lacks a clumsiness which is present on a lot of F and B programmes. It is easy to track inventory And the statistical representations are presented in many different ways (info graphics, excel ) etc. There is something for everyone’s brains to be able to digest!
