Overall we have had a great experience using this tool, now putting my charts are easy and fast. I also liked the prompt help when needed, they are always checking on us as well.

Pros

The system is easy to use and is very organized. I like how I can just manage everything from the system and I am able to create multiple charts.

Cons

Is hard to work on putting the pictures on the profiles. I have been trying but it seems to be more complicated than I wanted.

My overall experience has been incredibly positive. The customer service department really goes out of their way to respond and resolve issues very quickly, typically with an only a few hours.

Pros

I love that when I create work charts for company they look like they belong. I like the ease and being able to manipulate the data that shows on specific charts using the same data set.

Cons

I wish that the search feature looked at every item that we had in our database. It would make it much easier to find our employees within the chart.

The org chart clearly defines the hierarchy of the organization.

There is manual labor and time involved in updating org with employees from other jurisdictions.

I like the functionality and the options to customize our charts.

Cons

It's very technical and there is a lot of back-end things that aren't user friendly. However, the technical support team and the training I have received is phenomenal.

Pros

I have found that there are many options when it comes to selecting the right software to manage and/or create your org charts. But the number one reason why I continue to renew with OrgChart is because of their customer service. I am treated as though I am a priority. I typically get same day responses and I am treated like a team member. Of course its a great product as well, but when I need assistance the service matters.

Cons

I don't have anything negative that I have come across with after using for 5+ years.

In general, our experience with OrgChart has been positive. We've had a few hiccups along the way, but that is to be expected with any service. Now that the service is up and running, it is serving our needs and is much more efficient than our former organization chart product.

Pros

Implementation of OrgChart was relatively simple and quick. Whenever we've had an issue that required support, we've always received quick service and our issue was resolved quickly.

Cons

Though OrgChart is integrated with our HRIS system, it does not pull all the data we would have liked. As a result, we have to import some data on a weekly basis to pull in information such as employee groups (full-time staff, part-time staff, etc.). In addition, we have academic departments with many part-time faculty, and rather than listing them out individually, we wanted a headcount of the part-time faculty. We spent a great deal of time with our implementation specialist trying to set this up before he escalated the issue to someone above him to find out that what we wanted to do was not possible.

Reasons for choosing OrgChart

OrgChart was selected by our VP because it integrated and worked with our HRIS system, Dayforce.

I am happy with my use of org chart. It is easy to navigate.

Pros

we have subsidiary company under our main company. I like the best feature of org chart that I can see org hierarchy of individual subsidiaries on their own.

Cons

Coding or making any changes to the structure is not as easy. But support team is very prompt and helps to get things ironed out efficiently.
