### "Best project Management tool - Confluence "

December 2, 2022

5.0

Knowledge sharing is easily carried away for any kind of project with these Confluence tool.

Pros

By using Confluence we can easily manage all our projects needs I.e like we can easily maintain the requirements or wiki pages or assigning the tasks to users . Also we can add file paths or documents in those confluence pages which is a best option. We can edit those pages when ever it is required. It is a kind of wiki page but with more security.

Cons

All the features are very well executed in the Confluence software but it has poor customer support which should be improved. If it is improved then this will be the best tool produced .

### "Good knowledge base tool "

August 25, 2022

4.0

I used Confluence as the knowledge base for my 75-person globally distributed team. New hires used it to read their entire training program and fully onboarded folks used it to read policies and procedures documentation as well as instructions for their day-to-day tasks.

Pros

It was easy to organise, update, and search a large number of documents in our company knowledge base.

Cons

It felt a bit clunky and outdated in some respects. I had problems uploading YouTube videos and there was never a way to back up the whole knowledge base to Dropbox.

Our overall experience with Confluence has been amazing! We use it to solve the problem of knowledge sharing and documentation.

Pros

The ability to create, organize, and share documentation and content is incredibly impactful for us. The product's user-friendly interface makes it easy for team members to contribute and access information.

Cons

One of the drawbacks of Confluence is its pricing structure, which can be expensive for smaller businesses or teams.

### "Excelent tool with good Admins and Users "

August 23, 2023

5.0

I personally had a wonderful experience with Confluence, it was a easy one link way to add most resources required (Gantt charts , project plans, date/time for Program Management timelines and mixed together you get a easy to use tool that is great at its core but with heavy customization it becomes even more awesome). You can basically start from a white blank page and end up doing a project charter with 2 attached Gantt charts, with 3 Children pages and 7 Pie Charts.

Pros

It is easily accessible and you have loads of feature to customize your knowledge(renging from Tables , custom built Boards and even Linking tickets makes it a very straight forward solution for knowledge capture) pages or project management files , tools are easy to integrate and work with (highly recommend a cooperation with Jira , as they work very well togather.)

Cons

Administration part can be a pain from time to time , unless you know exactly what roles are correct , it can become a bit confusing .

### "Mediocre Tool for Knowledge "

January 7, 2022

4.0

We're using Confluence to track projects and roadmaps, to create an internal knowledgebase for teams and the entire org, using it to track bugs and sprint reports to integrate with Jira.

Pros

The best thing about Confluence is the Integration with other Atlassian tools, especially Jira, and if you are using both at the same time it helps to pull data automatically in the service desk and suggest articles and information or log tickets. It's fairly simple to build out pages that are very basic but going further in depth or building something more complicated takes some time. It's not 100% intuitive.

Cons

It doesn't integrate with anything else which is an issue because it's not ideal that within every organization you'd be using all Atlassian tools. Building out pages is complicated and not intuitive, it takes some practice. Notion offers more ease and option here. I think the tool is really easy for engineers to use especially as they are used to using Jira or Atlassian, but business folks struggle. I might also argue that the search functionality is too good - which is an odd complaint but it can be hard to sort through all of the hits that you get when you are looking for something specific.

Reason for choosing Confluence

### "Confluence brings our Teams together"

We use Confluence daily and could not live without it.

Pros

Confluence allows us to easily document our processes and features so that all team members can easily access it at any time. We recently started using Team Calendars and have found multiple uses for it across many teams.

Cons

The permissions can be confusing and sometimes duplicated when you are restricting to individual teams or users. Search could be improved.

### "Mid-level Wiki"

August 5, 2021

4.0

Confluence is generally easy to work with, browse, search and configure. The access rights are a little bit complex, but not overwhelmingly so. Editor is feature rich, but as described above, very hard to navigate in.

Pros

Confluence is a good wiki with most modern wiki-features expected of a Wiki, including easy linking and a full fledged text editor.

Cons

While the text editor is good, it is a nuisance to move around it from the keyboard. Especially Arrow up and Arrow down has unpredictable results for where the cursor ends up. The same thing for right and left if at the end or beginning of a line.

Reason for choosing Confluence

We have used Confluence for more than ten years, and upgrading was the natural path to take.

### "Confluence: The Collaboration Station"

Confluence is the number one collaborative tool across our engineering, marketing, and design teams. We share files, create roadmaps for product planning and future releases, and have the ability to collaborate in all the ways we could ever need! There are no CONs in CONfluence. It is an absolutely remarkable collaboration suite. Combined with JIRA, Confluence is the best way for all of your teams to get organized and synchronized.

### "Great space to store Internal and External Information"

September 27, 2023

4.0

Pros

It easily allows you to create, maintain, share, and collaborate documentation with other internal users.Externally, it allows you to create easy-to-use and read documentation that can be shared with clients and can be broken down into easier-to-read categories or is easily searchable. If you are bought into the Atlissan ecosystem, Confluence also pairs with all other products and will seamlessly allow you to share links and information across the entire suite easily.

Cons

While very full-featured, it is sometimes extremely difficult to get Conflence to look and work the way that you would like it to without a lot of trial and error.

### "One of the greatest tools to collaborate and build project knowledge base"

August 9, 2018

5.0

Pros

A great collaboration tool where all project documents (from major project plan to reports to release cycle to simple meeting notes) can be organized and shared in one centralized location. The confluence editor feature makes it easier for me to create documents, review and share feedback and changes can be tracked thru page histories. Spaces are well organized and structured. There are page shortcuts, page trees, breadcrumb trails that aid users to navigate between pages and information. It is easy to build links within pages by adding an anchor. You don't need to remember which part of the page you have read a certain information and do page scroll. I like the gliffy plugin. Whenever I need to embed a workflow diagram, adding gliffy makes it easier to attach flowchart, it's dynamic as changes in the diagram is reflected in the page. I can highlight people in my reports or meeting notes by tagging them Documenting a test report is easier with the JIRA integration - JIRA issues highlighted and linked and JIRA issue filters can be embedded and since these two (JIRA and Confluence) work hand in hand, it makes delivering software in agile approach a lot easier.

Cons

To beautify your confluence page, you need to know which macros and plugins you need to add but by doing these, one needs to have very basic knowledge in html or programming which could be a learning curve to most people. But lots of how to videos are shared by Atlassian and lots of documented procedures are out there shared by experienced users. One just need to be resourceful. The challenges in embedding spreadsheet with macros and formatting tables are not a challenge anymore if you know what macro or plugin to use. Another issue is sometimes finding the information you are seeking is not successful and sometimes the information search for spans to multiple pages - but information actually can be managed by adding labels which again boils down to the user having the knowledge that this feature exists.

### "Great real-time team collaboration tool"

September 27, 2023

4.0

Since we deal primarily with functional requirements documentations, which tend to be somewhat large, the fact that the UI is flexible and the history of our edits is easily retrievable is invaluable.

Pros

The ability to quickly and easily establish a wiki is what attracted me to Confluence. Having this capability will make it simpler for newly hired employees to acquire the information they need to become fully integrated into their organizations.

Cons

The only real drawback I've run with so far is the difficulty of setting and maintaining access controls for who can edit specific documents.
