### "Confluence is a flexible tool that can be whatever you want it to be"

December 13, 2022

5.0

Pros

I have used Confluence at multiple jobs and I really like the product. I think it has a really organized way of keeping track of information and documentation.

Cons

The only complaint I have about Confluence is that it is only as good as you make it. It can be a powerful place for collaboration, team knowledge, and documentation but only if your organization values that and your team sets aside time to keep it up to date. But Confluence is my favorite product for this.

### "Knowledge sharing made easy with Confluence"

January 21, 2026

Confluence is a tremendous resource for onboarding new teammates and getting their knowledge ramped up.

Cons

It's important for the admin to add guardrails to some users' permissions so that content doesn't get cluttered.

### "Easy to Use and Highly Efficient"

January 3, 2023

5.0

Pros

1) The first feature which I loved about is its UI. Its very easy to use. The UI is extremely simple and calls on to use the features2) It allows admins to setup authorisations for specific users and that makes it highly secure (Page level auth is the best)3) We have mainly used this for documentation tracking of our knowledge base and project tracking such as Daily team call reviews, discussions4) It sends reminders and audit history which helps in ease of tracking5) Its integration with Bitbucket and JIRA is commendable

Cons

Not that I can think of any. But I would say there is a learning curve and it might take some time like other softwares.

### "Confluence successfully brings all the business knowledge together. "

November 19, 2020

5.0

Confluence is not only a product name but a definition of how this solution works. I found working on projects in Confluence easy and intuitive - for a growing business, it's a must.

Pros

It was so refreshing moving from folders within folders for all our processes and policies and centralizing everything in confluence. No need for long emails to specific teams advising of changes, Confluence notifies all relevant members automatically when things change. Keeping track of meetings and collecting feedback is also very useful, but where Confluence shines the brightest is in its ability to manage the information flow of complex projects. It's easy to bring all the relevant knowledge on a project page, receive and action comments from colleagues.

Cons

Keeping up to date documents uploaded to Confluence is not the easiest. If you upload a document and then change it in its location, the outdated copy will remain on Confluence and you will need to re-upload. There are fixes around this, but they are not simple. It's not a deal-breaker, but something to consider.

### "Established solution that I’ve enjoyed "

May 21, 2022

5.0

Pros

Solution works as expected with clean and usable interface

Cons

Not sure if it was the solution or something else but internal adoption was an issue. It’s a very much needed solution though it can be difficult to get early stage organizations to adopt a wiki solution if processes are constantly changing

### "Safe and Sound Knowledge Management"

August 11, 2022

4.0

Pros

Confluence provides an affordable knowledge and team documentation repository that can expand into the large scale enterprise easily if you so choose. Editing features are all there and from creating new docs to editing what you have out there already, the ease of use is undeniable. There are options to easily convert documents you already have in word and excel and bring them into a page, but you may need to spend a little time reformatting them to get them to have the same soul you originally created them with.

Cons

The most I struggled with this app was on the hierarchy and moving documents around front. Sometimes documents would end up where I wanted them, sometimes not. Often I would have to go back and create the structure I wanted beforehand and then move the document, where I would expect the ability to do this while I was making movements. When compared to tools like SharePoint, Confluence falls flat in this area.

### "Great application for IT professionals"

January 1, 2020

5.0

My overall experience is quite a good one, helped me deliver some valuable pieces of information to different stakeholders in manners that they enjoy and understand.

Pros

I've been using Confluence to document different aspects related to IT projects for over two years. It's a great place to store the applications 'wiki' pages and share it away with different stakeholders. It's also easy to control who has viewing / editing rights, thus ensuring that only the right people can access different pages. It offers a great deal of widgets and tools that helps the user deliver pieces of information in a catchy way for the reader - has charts, tables and different ways of organizing the page. It enables integration with other applications many IT professionals may use, thus exporting analytics or other relevant data is really easy.

Cons

It's the type of application that's easy to get into and hard to master. Setting it up the first time may not be the easiest thing but once it's done it usually works flawlessly. Also, as a new user it's sometimes hard to see all the functionalities that are offered by Confluence and some digging into documentation or looking at other projects may give some insights.

### "Versatile tools that enhance collaborative work "

September 19, 2022

5.0

This is a scalable platform with versatile options to develop a collaborative work in an optimal way. It offers numerous third-party platform integrations that help improve productivity. In terms of document management, it offers excellent options for sharing information in real time.

Pros

It has a pleasant and easy-to-navigate user interface. Improves collaborative work by making it easier for a whole team to access the same document. Notifications have proven to be very useful for the team to stay on top of upcoming tasks. It has a wide variety of templates ready to use, which can also be customized and adapted according to our needs. It is excellent for keeping documents organized and accessing them when needed.

Cons

The only thing I think it needs to incorporate is a tutorial so that new users can handle all its functions more quickly.

### "Best documentation tool I ever used"

September 5, 2019

5.0

I use this almos daily and I think it is a great tool for team performance. It allows to create and view all the info in no time and pretty well structured.

Pros

The main advantage about Confluence is that is part of the Atlassian Suite which involves Jira and Bitbucket among others. This makes pretty easy to integrate them and add quick references to a jira issue with just write the reference number. The text editor in Confluence is pretty complete, allowing to create really decent pages for any kind of documentation desired. The possibility of create nested pages makes really easy to organize the information in "chapters" "sub-chapters" and so on, giving your documentation a really neat look. This feature also allows to segregate the information, so you can have your product's documentation on one place, perfectly organized and set another "Chapter" for your team info, where you could store info about code conventions, timetables about overtime or availability, and so on. Confluence is also useful in order to create software designs, since it allows to create pages where you can paste your diagrams and so on and allows to discuss on them by adding comments or remarks. And the Watch utility keep you posted via e-mail whenever a page you're watching is modified in any way so you can keep track of a discussion or whatever.

Cons

So far didn't find any big issue with confluence. Maybe for beginners it has a bit of learning curve and some option like the page nesting and so on is a bit difficult to learn. Besides that, I think is a pretty complete software. Something I miss is the possibility of "downloading" a page with all nested ones into a pdf. That would be a great feature in order to generate documentation files.

### "Work best with task management and knowledge management"

June 15, 2021

5.0

Pros

Confluence's documentation and document storage and sharing are extremely well structured and managed. Keeping technical information document is crucial for us to respond quickly when a mistake occurs, and we will be able to find all of the records/knowledge through the full-text search. It features a bespoke storage drive that may be upgraded for a fee.

Cons

They should update and improve the software layout. It is old and difficult to discover the required things. There are still some software integrations that I need to connect to this software, but they aren't supported. Therefore I had to go to another service to get it to function with Confluence.

### "The quasi standard for organizational wikis"

October 31, 2019

5.0

Building an overall wiki base was our main purpose and it worked well. We have been expanding it and documenting progress across a large team.

Pros

Confluence is easy to setup, maintain, and to use and allows many team members to contribute. The search function is pretty good and tagging and organizing works well. It's even possible to use it as a document rev system, though that stretches the functionality for larger projects.

Cons

Confluence is slow to implement new features that helps to speed up the workflow (i.e. copy and pasting works most of the time, but still has some issues). Formatting and arranging items on a page is sometimes difficult and frustrating and using it for documentation on paper often doesn't work well. Permissions are unfortunately difficult to implement and Atlassian is slow to acknowledge obvious shortcomings. You're also tied to them for a long time since exporting the knowledge base in an efficient manner is pretty much impossible.

### "Review for Confluence"

January 21, 2023

5.0

My experience with Confluence has been very positive. It is a collaboration and documentation platform that allows teams to easily organize and share information. One of the things I liked most about Confluence is its intuitive user interface, which made it easy for me to navigate and find the information I needed. The platform's ability to create and manage pages, documents and spaces allows for a great organization and easy access to the information that is needed.Additionally, Confluence's integration with other Atlassian products such as Jira and Trello, made it easy for me to keep track of tasks and projects, and collaborate with my team in real-time. The software also has a wide range of add-ons and plugins that can be used to customize and enhance the platform to fit specific business needs.Overall, I found Confluence to be a valuable tool for improving communication and collaboration within my team. It's a great tool for businesses that handle a lot of documentation and need a way to keep track of it all in an organized and easy to access way.

Pros

I like that Confluence is a collaboration and documentation platform that allows teams to easily organize and share information. Its intuitive user interface makes it easy to navigate and find the information that is needed. The platform's ability to create and manage pages, documents and spaces allows for a great organization and easy access to the information that is needed. Additionally, the integration with other Atlassian products such as Jira and Trello made it easy for me to keep track of tasks and projects and collaborate with my team in real-time.

Cons

I least liked that the software can have a bit of a learning curve and may take some time to fully master all its features. Additionally, the software can be quite expensive, especially for larger organizations. Some users also reported that if your organization doesn't have a good structure and governance, it can become overwhelming with a lot of pages, spaces and user to manage.

### "One of the best Atlassian products I have been using"

January 6, 2022

5.0

It is a great experience using Confluence. In my several years of working now, I appreciate its features and functionalities and I can still see myself using this in more years to come.

Pros

1\. In my corporate experience so far, I have been using Confluence mainly for document management and team collaboration. The fact that it is from Atlassian makes it very credible and user-friendly. 2. I have been using Confluence together with Jira and Trello and they work so smoothly. 3. Confluence has several macros to select from which make document creation more creatively and efficiently.

Cons

1\. Rich text editing can be a little difficult to manage 2. Sometimes, there are downtimes especially if you belong to a team that uses the same tool

Reason for choosing Confluence

Funcionalidad, y por la cantidad de integraciones con Third-Party App.

### "An all in one documentation tool"

May 7, 2021

My overall experience has been excellent and I would recommend it to everyone.

Pros

I use confluence for documentation purpose and it serves the purpose really well. I integrate it with jira to show any kind of project progress. The version control feature on confluence is excellent and the fact that multiple people can edit a page at the same time is awesome.

Cons

Sometimes the page loading on confluence is a little slow. The editor does not have a lot of options like Microsoft Word.

### "Great for non-technical people as well!"

February 18, 2021

5.0

I've been using it in previous roles in product teams as a companion tool to JIRA and it was great for filling in gaps in our communication, as opposed to have a ton of email threads and chat channels. Bringing it in to a new team I realized that once you get the wheel going and showcase its use, people tend to adopt it easily.

Pros

Easy learning curve - makes it ideal to onboard non-technical users to collaborative tools. Great single source of truth for the team, one pagers really made our work easier. Many other features for power users to test out for optimizing the overall experience.

Cons

The onboarding process, but it wasn't really an issue in my case. I can imagine that if someone with little to no wiki experience tries it out, they might easily be discourages way before seeing results.

### "Confluence is best for Software Project Management"

October 15, 2021

5.0

well previously we use separate thing to do the project such as email send specification, and chat for bug fix, and osticket system for track bug etc, but its not effective because everyone need to go to read all system to understand, but since there have confluence everything on the same page during the development, so easy to work together. i recommend if you are doing the project mangement with system development, inhouse, external use confluence is best for your need.

Pros

its very perfect tool that i have been using before until now, since we start create the project more than 2 year with external developer, single platform but multi purpose such as i can raise ticket and reponse ticket in the same platform writing the document, specification inside the same platform as well. create the system specification, test case scenario in the same platform as well. can trace all the conversation, bug fix, update, patch tickets and can sort out well. very good for making the report to management. its count hour how many hours we implement it and calculate the cost base on hour rate well, no confusion between user and developer. working collaboration on the same page at the same time.

Cons

its very cool already, but if someone just starts to use it may be a bit difficult to understand.

### "Confluence made Business requirements cycle very easy to maintain"

August 25, 2022

5.0

From my perspective confluence has made agility way of work, even more, better because there are no longer unnecessary delays from a team member that might affect your own delivery deadline and every work is recorded and anyone can track what your doing and the progress of your work without having to set up a meeting with you to get to see your progress

Pros

Handling of BRD's between the team as its always a struggle to keep up with all the changes and updates as a QA engineer from some organizations

Cons

from my side, i have never had issues working with confluence since i started using it at the beginning of my career so am assuming I have gotten used to it
