Many of the documents are net being previewed (you cannot even view them online), so you have to download them. Pros It's easy to structure and contain information maling it a useful tool for design documents especially when there are multiple linking aspects. Cons The fact the information that you can display from Jira is limited OR has to be manually added in. If confluence had its own tracking capabilities it would add so much more value. Use Jira for tracking and updates and Confluence for sharing content and inputs and ditch the messy emails. Pros Documentation of project details especially where you have text heavy stuff, like at the ideation stages, with images and links, is very easy and feels like you're using Word. It seamlessly integrates with Jira as well Cons Trying to link multiple pages / tracks can be a little messy. We have had instances of team members unintentionally created a separate page for stuff that's part of the same project and it's difficult to keep them linked. With improved searchability (simplify it using AI) and reducing the duplicates when entering the information, I will give 3 more points (that is 10/10) Pros Confluence has been a go to tool for managing the source of truth for all our projects. Encourages collaboration and brings the team together for working towards one source of truth. Cons Searchability (omg, its complicated) and overhead in reducing the duplicate information. I wish there is a smart editor that stops the users from entering duplicate information as they are typing the info.
