### "Core documentation for our custom application"

Excellent. We are extremely pleased with Confluence and the way in which it keeps us organized and everyone on the same page.

Pros

It helps us keep track of what would otherwise be very complex documentation for our custom software application. As we make frequent updates processes, features and funcitonality are constantly changing and Confluence is essential in keeping everything properly updated in terms of documentation.

Cons

It honestly doesn't have very many cons but it can take some time for a new user to get up to speed. There could be more room for integration with other applications but that hasn't been a big issue for us.

Because of ease of use, it's a breeze working with others in collaborating on the various artifacts and/or deliverables

Cons

Sometimes it seems as though the system blinks and the information may be outdated. You have to keep a firm hand on the deliverables.

Everything in one place for writing anything.

Pros

I have been using this for more than one and half year and whenever I think of writing project documentation, it is always comes to be my first choice. Writing project documentation is very easy in this. It also has lots of plugin like gliffy which make it very useful, code-block using which you can write code block of any language. Using it's plugin Gliffy you can design Flow charts, design diagram, design architecture etc.

Cons

It is very useful tool but it require a bit of learning like it has lots of shortcut using that you can write very fast. So first you need to learn them that will take time.

Pros

Our company has been working on Confluence for about 3 years. Personally, I like the ability to distribute access the most. For an employee with a specific qualification, we can assign access to change files, and for interns to open the opportunity to view and leave comments.

Cons

I found no flaws in the platform, but the design of Confluence is very boring. Since we spend a considerable part of our work time in Confluence, the gray colors of the interface quickly begin to depress.

Pros

A great tool for managing the overall project documentation. The online editor provides the capability to create document with Confluence, eliminating the need of 3rd Party tools. It has a great capability of importing documents from other file types and creating ready to edit document in confluence. It's integration with Jira service the need to have an end to end collaboration with User stories and tasks. GIiffy diagram helps to create the end to end data flow, process flow diagrams.

Cons

It would be great to have the capability to download the entire folder structure created within confluence with the associated documents.

Pros

It is very easy to set up a space and pages and add multiple users to collaborate in the same space. Makes for a good place to brainstorm remotely.

Cons

Confluence quickly turns messy though as there's not a whole lot of ways I know of to keep it organized. The search functionality does not work as well as I would like to pull up pages that I can't recall where they are saved. IT can become very unorganized and ofter in our company there will be similar spaces for the same thing.

Overall for notetaking, confluence is very good and its integration with other software like Jira and Teams makes is a great addition.

Pros

The similarity with Word in terms of formatting and text styles. The shortcuts are almost the same as well. The templates are extensive and help make quick POCs for UI A/B testing.

Cons

The structuring of pages was not the best. Sometimes it is hard to know where the spaces are so that could be improved.

Confluence is a decent intranet. It works well as a centralized location for storing process documents, archiving final files, and is pretty easy to use. I wouldn't recommend for large organizations or organizations that are working with complex files.

Pros

Very easy when it comes to setting-up pages, adding text or chart information, PDFs, and embedding YouTube video links. I like the navigation on the side and the concept of "spaces" for different departments. Nice source for archiving files.

Cons

Not great for adding complex attachments or materials. Its bread and butter is really text, charts, PDFs, and embedded URLs. I wish the calendar feature had more customization options, notifications, registration features, and could sync with other tools. I wish there were better ways to tag, categorize, and label pages so they were easy to find.

From managing internal company information to holding on to business requirements and technical design documentation, this is the de facto standard for everyone out there. Even if you are in a non-technical company, this software can add enormous value and help reduce the use of annoying things like Word documents and shared drives. Simply a fantastic solution and easy to use if you have done even the most basic of word processing at any time in your career.

Pros

\- Extremely simple - Templates make it easy to take the grunt work out of initial project setup - Can easily export to PDF - Excellent administrative capabilities for authorization and whitelisting/blacklisting users from seeting content

Cons

\- Costly, even for just a few users

It's very useful and I prefer it to any self-made FAQ-Wiki-thing I've stumbled across in the past.

Pros

When I switched to my current company, I was (among some other things) handed a reading list with Confluence-pages. Underneath the contents, there were comment sections with some questions that had been asked by other colleagues, before. Currently, I started adding knowledge to the system, myself: it's easy and very effective and I love the fact that it connects easily to our Jira and Trello-Boards.

Cons

There's no cons, really: I just think that if you use Confluence without its "proper" surroundings of Atlassian-products, it might lose some of its charm.

The feature where we can draw diagrams and then include external clip arts and all.

Cons

Cons

Les accès sont parfois problématiques. Un nouveau collaborateur ou externe qui doit intervenir sur un projet existant peut ne pas avoir les droits d'édition et selon votre structure, résoudre ces accès peut s'avérer très compliqué.

### "Great improvement from this app "

To catch up with my reading and to be in touch with my co-workers at anytime and anywhere is a great way to use an app.

Pros

I have to admit that at the beginning this app wouldn't do the job all the way, but it seems they worked very hard to be just keeping better. This allows me to take my job anywhere, anytime and to stay in touch, collaborate, share opinions and keep track of my co-workers. Easy to use once you're used to. It definitely helps me get stuff done. To quickly get information recorded and look it up is a great plus. Simple and able to share/view or edit.

Cons

Why would this mobile app have a timeout feature that automatically logs me out. Please fix this and also allows people to export documents as a pdf file. Other than that, keep up the good work.

Pros

After their redesign last year, Confluence workflows have gotten intuitive and fluid. Duplicating pages, creating sections, etc. are similar to Google Doc.

Cons

Confluence is still very clunky and confusing to navigate in-between pages, which discourages users to create/update documents as much as they should. It's also hard to link between Confluence and other document ecosystem like Google doc, which leads to multiple sources of truth.

Very basic, lacking feature I've grown accustomed to in other offerings. Markdown, in particular, is very bare-bones.

I love Confluence. I use it daily for Communications - Job Processes - Document Repository - Company News and Knowledge Base, just to name a few categories. It is my "Work Bible" to get through the day and if in need of any education or material to do my job. I give Confluence a BIG Thumbs Up!

Pros

Working in a virtual position, Confluence provides team collaboration / communication / education and many more features under one stop shop. Documentation is very simple and allows editing on the spot. I work in a Tech business yet I am not so "Tech-y" and I have no difficulties using Confluence.

Cons

Nothing to speak of. Updates do not interfere with my job. I always have access. No Cons come to mind.

In general, it's a solid Atlassian product that is great in customization but could be difficult to manage in a while.

Pros

The tool is integrated with other Atlassian products, it has multiple different templates for different types of documents. Powerful in customization.

Cons

It's difficult to maintain the proper structure of the documents, the search functionality isn't great either. Sometimes it feels like it's way easier to write a document than to find it there.

Pros

With this tool, it is very easy to write the architectural document of any project. Also, with the versatility of this tool, it can be used for various purposes. It's integration with JIRA is awesome feature.

Cons

I have been using this product for nearly one year. Only cons that I feel is that you need small learning before start using it.

Cons

\* It is buggy very often - people's names and avatars will disappear regularly and sometimes even refreshing the whole page does not seem to help, which makes reading pages very difficult \* It is confusing what some of the features do \* It is not very clear how to do certain tasks \* Multiple people editing the same wiki page can be slow
