Pros: You can pull information and reports from JIRA which makes displaying project information very easy. Also being able to tag users and assign tasks using keyboard shortcuts makes taking meeting notes and assigning tasks very quick and easy.

Cons: Unless someone keeps the pages up to date it can quickly become a bit of a mess with links to pages all over the place! Keep a strict discipline to keep things in order.

Pros: It was a modern collaborative software that did allow us to pass information back and forth. It does have a smooth interface and operates well mechanically. Things were posted and kept up well. We never had any issues with downtime or inaccessibility.

Cons: It was clunky to use. There were many items that had to be done in a certain way. This was not our day to day operations software but our integration with the software team. So I'll give that it may have been an issue of unfamiliarity, or design on the developers part, but the whole process felt very cumbersome

Pros: The price point is great. It's fantastic to have one central location for company wide notes and resources. Love the ability to organize things by teams. Very simple product that is fairly easy to use.

Cons: When there are too many cooks in the kitchen, things can become disorganized very quickly. We have had to hire someone who focuses on keeping this organized and reducing the amount of duplicate pages. In a complex organization it can be difficult to know where to find things and the search functionality is not great.

Overall: It has been a great knowledge base for our company but it has proven to be difficult to keep organized.

I create pages that track project progress. Documents related to the projects are housed there too.

Pros: Soooooooo many features. Basically, whatever I want to do, I can do it. Also, there are many options for how to aesthetically present a page; therefore, I am able to differentiate the look based on what the page is for.

Cons: Because it can do so much, searching for answers in the forum can be tough because there are probably a lot of functions similar to the exact one you will be searching for.

Pros:
Confluece is fundamental for my team, because with this tool we can maintain a more active communication, especially when creating content. Our teamwork and organization has improved. Each management involved in a project is able to collaborate in the creation of reports, documents, etc. and share relevant information, facilitating the flow of information efficiently. The biggest advantage it has is the integration with Jira software and the possibility of managing the performance of each of the team members by monitoring the activities that each one is doing in their work station.

Cons: The main disadvantage that I have faced with the use of Confluence, is that being a highly collaborative tool, in which all the work team can contribute and share documents, information, etc., sometimes confusion and information crossings can be generated, if you do not take special care with shared content.

Pros: The platform is very customizable that makes it easy for all the team to work with the product.
It's another valuable addition to our teamwork platform. What's more, integration with JIRA is a big advantage for this tool.
Great tool to share all the architectural documents about the certain projects, which makes it easy to centralize all the information that previously was spread across different channels.

Cons: Even though it's very customizable, it's confusing sometimes due to its extended functionalities and so nice design layout. Moreover, for the new users. It takes some time to onboard them on how to even partially use the tool.

Cons: 1) Not a fan of the Atlassian Custom Support model. You can get answers in a timely fashion but you cannot normally call and get a technician on the phone.

Pros: The extreme versatility of the tool allows it to be used for many purposes. I have used it at work for wiki pages, with customers for collaboration and just for fun to write down ideas and task lists. Thanks to the Marketplace the expandability is almost endless

Cons: I have mostly used the On Premise sollution due to the extreme low costs vs the Cloud based sollution. The Cloud based sollution is limited in the customization options compared to the On Premise sollution, but the latter is not so easy to install and configure if you are new to all of this. Pros: It's fast, and does what i needs to do - for simple documentation it works pretty well, anything else, and it gets confusing.

Pros: This software provides a good solution for having documentation readily available for team members. Having the documentation/calendars all in one place means that team members do not have to waste time searching for what they need.

Cons: The search function is not very robust or comprehensive. Oftentimes, you need to have the exact wording or title of what you are searching for to return results.

Pros: It is feature rich, and it has everything you ask for managing content within an enterprise;
It works well with other Atlassian portfolio like Jira and Bitbucket;
It has a very powerful online text editor which enables you to make nice and rich content multimedia documents.

Cons: It needs some learning curve, not so straightforward;
And I've been using it for about a year, so far I only needed to use about 20% of the functionalities that are displayed on the interface, so I would recommend Atlassian to make the user interface more simple and clean.

Pros: I like that the software is easy to compose quality documentation in and find it later on. It provides a deep document language ranging from easy to use to highly technical. It creates a format that is accessible by technical and non-technical users alike.

Pros: It is a good idea to have a wiki-like knowledge sharing system (i.e. Confluence) close to your defect tracking and change management (if that is JIRA). It is then a one-stop shop for which you need one account, which is very convenient.

Cons: Wikis come a dime a dozen: I'd rather host a wiki on the intranet and get exactly the functionality that I like. The project-centric approach enforced by Confluence feels like a straight-jacket instead of a scaffold. Considering that, I think it is too expensive.

Pros: Confluence provides an outstanding documentation platform that can be very easy to use. It is simple enough that the out of box version is easy to set up, yet can be very customizable to your organizations needs.

There are many adds and it has if you don't find the one your need, don't worry, you can have it developed. The permission scheme is very granular, allowing you to lock down sections or a single page. Pricing is great for small teams, only $10/mo for under 10 users.

Cons: Your pages, if not properly maintained can become cluttered very quickly. It takes a few page creations to become familiar with the set up.

Pros: Confluence is a great tool for keeping track of team discussions, meetings, decisions, etc. As a stand alone product it works well in assisting teams in being more collaborative and organized. When combining it with other Atlassian applications like JIRA you are able to use it's full feature set. We use it on projects to document a project and have a single repository for all project artifacts including documents, meeting notes, change control, project requirements, etc.

Pros: Confluence was hard at first to get a wrap on, for our entire product team. However, once the software was understood and we were trained on it, it provided us with a huge factor of organization. We store every project, and project items within Confluence. All timelines are also stored, and it's easy to figure out which engineer, ux member and product leader is represented within each project. Love this product!

Cons: Training... having a higher level training on this product is completely necessary. It's an animal and difficult to understand as a new user. If there was a new user guidance/onboarding/welcome tour/etc that Atlassian could provide for users, that would be spectacular.

Overall: Organization. For every team, organization of timelines, resources and conversations is key. This product helps you store all of that and more so that your team can be on top of it at all times.

Pros: It is excellent for supervising the project, the tasks, the equipment, the order entries. Although it is mainly designed for engineers, it is very useful as a tool for organizing work and tasks to work on equipment.

Cons: Navigating the pages is complicated. If the user accidentally leaves the Gliffy diagram without saving it in advance, he can easily lose the information. The design is not intuitive

Pros: The search functionality is incredibly useful when I need to find some information quickly. The correct result is always returned in a prompt fashion.

Cons: The only thing I don't like is that we don't use it to it's full potential. We could have a living user guide that is updated as we work, but we lack the resources to fully utilize that.

Pros: I used this program for a long time and I want to say that it is a well thought-through multifunctional tool for information exchange and collaboration. Everything that was shared can be commented and grouped. Within the program, you can create conversations that is very beneficial for communication. The interface is very convenient and easy to navigate. Creating a page for spreading new information takes a few seconds. A great benefit is that you can view previous versions of articles. The learning curve is quite short.

Cons: I would like to see the search feature improved, because it's a little bit clumsy and sometimes it is difficult to find information needed. As for data security, I'm not sure that everything is at the right level.

Comments: Confluence is absolutely one of those tools where you're only going to get out of it what you put into it. We're working now on increasing adoption within our system so that everyone uses all of the great information and resources that we have stored in our Confluence.

Pros: It's pretty easy to use and I find most of the page editing tools very intuitive. I appreciate the ability to restrict pages - this allows you to use the spaces for private brainstorming, collaboration, or general information. Some of the widgets are pretty cool too.

Cons: It's a bit of a challenge to format the tables - the functionality is pretty different than any other system that I've used, and I wish this was more simple because tables are a great way to organize information. The search function is also pretty literal; you need to have exact phrasing to find what you're looking for, which can sometimes be a challenge.

Pros: Having a tool for documentation that can integrate with your project planning tool is simply amazing. Team members performing can easily have access to the right documentation from within Jira. Bringing Confluence pages to the Jira workspace by adding ¿gadgets¿ allows developers and support staff to easily view documentation relevant to the tasks they are working on.

Cons: What I least like is that it does not have words limit for what can be placed on a single page. Long pages that cause readers to keep scrolling to assimilate all the content usually make the reader to soon lose the motivation to keep reading which defeats the purpose of the documentation

Pros: I do like the possibilities that you can create a roadmap easily, create notes containing checklist, a knowledge base and centralize everything in one place. That's a great option as you have everything in one place.

Cons: I do not find an order that things are kept, it doesn't look clean enough to find the things you have created. We mostly used it as a knowledge base central, and it's great to input data, but finding them is a little complicated that another software might provide even better.

Comments: Overall, great for highly detailed or complex projects -- which makes sense, as they tout the Jira connections. A solid option for bigger teams with communication challenges.

Pros: Confluence has a lot of technical options that make it good for managing highly complex projects. The integration with Jira is excellent.

Cons: While Confluence has a lot of benefits, the core of the platform is challenging to use. Business teams or light users are likely to find it too complex and simple tasks can easily get lost in the high level of details required to power the platform.

Pros: A very flexible wiki tool. Ability to link to Jira tasks is a huge plus. Proveds developers, Qa, and taskers the ability to have more information on a ticket.

Document collaboration is key, teams can comment inline, make Jira tickets from documents or have approval conversations in page footer.

Templeting and macro addon are a huge plus and allow for flexibility and inclusion of many other tools.

Cons: Organization can get out of control of not strictly managed. User permissions can get very granular if you go into restricting too much too fast.

Overall: Easily to track all the requirements, flow and diagram that is documented down in confluence. Save time in asking around what's about the projects.

Pros: It seems to have a large range of functionalities and it works well with other products (JIRA, GSuite, etc.). I'm currently trying to build out a process for people across the org to use. There are nice benefits, like the ability to make a template that others can duplicate and fill out. In addition, the calendar capabilities make for easy scheduling.

Cons: Because confluence has so many features, it is not intuitive unless you are making the most basic pages. For the project I'm trying to track in Confluence I have had several meetings with our in-house confluence guru. I would recommend having someone dedicated to really understanding all that confluence can do, otherwise you may miss out some of it's cooler features.

Pros: The platform has a very good function for controlling the version of the document. You can use the program to share knowledge with all team members. Use the platform to communicate with several teams and develop the best programs and useful systems for scheduling and fulfilling the timing and completion of sprints and testing. Very effective platform for creating notes, project plans, requirements documents, release notes, road maps.

Cons: Sometimes it is difficult to format the page and insert links or files. I also found that the search function can be improved, sometimes it does not return the functions that we need. I want the license cost to be less to add users to the platform for free.

Pros: Information in Confluence is placed in special sections - spaces that are containers for pages. Spaces allow you to share information between projects or teams, can have a unique data structure and appearance depending on the needs of the project. You can create a space either from scratch or using one of the appearance templates for more convenient data organization. Permissions in Confluence are divided into three levels - global, level of space and page level - and can be specified on each of them.

Cons: In addition, that the system is very expensive (I mean for our small office), at the moment I can not single out any shortcomings.

Pros: I mostly use this tool to upload and review documentation and standard operating procedures. It's super useful because you can organize content in so many ways and embed all sorts of content (pictures, graphs, etc.) as well as attach files to pages.

Cons: The left hand tool bar is wonky. It would be nice to have the bar stationary or maybe a limit on the number of characters. It would also to have a search feature (or maybe I'm just unaware of one that exists) that allows me to search through all the pages without having to open each one and manually find words/phrases.

Pros: Not only can confluence be melded into anything you want, they have a huge number of pre-set templates and configurations that means you don't *need* to do anything more than pick a 'type' of space on the first step, and you are good to go.
Being able to quickly bash together a confluence space, then letting out users go nuts, is really beneficial.

Cons: Sometimes I think there could be more prompts and tips while you're working, such as on the 'Decision Log' pre-set - it took me longer than I care to admit to figure out status changes (hint: you have to do it manually, and you have to know what statuses are in place or you'll end up with all sorts of different ones)

Overall: We are able to document everything we need to like product designs, software designs, documenting certain use cases and flows, etc. The best part is being able to share it with users easily and invite comments or even have them collaborate right on the page and the ease of switching over to JIRA and the ability to refer to defect id's here helps

Pros: We you confluence to create wiki pages for our employees on software changes, how to's, troubleshooting tips, and management of information as well. I really like the creation of wiki pages to be honest. It helps me share with my team tips and tricks as I learn them to share with my 'group'. Meaning members of my group are 'watching' the group pages and it notifies them of changes. Which in turn allows them to edit the same page and add their knowledge to share with the team.

Cons: This is not really a con more like a feature request, but I notice that if you and someone else are trying to edit the same page, it ends up freezing or never saving either persons information they entered. I have a request into them but I thought I share the only con I have.

Cons: the new UI make it a bit difficult to find what you need in Jira so hopefully they are not bringing this UI over to Confluence. THe only challenge is to keep your documentation up to date it feels like in 2018 we should have a system that disrupts this documentation management process and I don't see confluence going into that direction.

Cons: Getting everyone to buy into the system can be hard when first introducing it to a team. Pros: The way we can organize the information and the complete knowledge repository is pretty good. Here we can manage all the data with ease and in properly organized manner. Another good factor is its various integrated tools like I can manage a team calendar here, make various add-ons and integrate it with Jira etc which is quite useful for us.

Cons: Some of the things which I dislike is its Page-Tracking. Sometimes we have seen that the page tracking doesn't work pretty well. Another thing which makes me uneasy is its formatting of pages which is trivial at times and I cannot add much graphics

Overall: There are quite a few business problems that we solve using Confluence, the most important one is team collaboration. with confluence our team can collaborate and share information and documents with ease. We can archive information, we can add information to confluence and every stakeholder will be notified about any updates etc which is quite useful in a high-demand scenario as ours. Another business problem that we solve using confluence is progress tracking and reporting by integrating it with Jira.

Very best product to setup initial initiative for collaborative knowledge sharing and organizing, and still very useful after the setup.

Pros: - Its main advantage is that it greatly facilitates the exchange of documents, information and files between members of a work team.
- It is also of great help and usefulness in the organization and management of projects in a company, because it allows you to integrate the members of the work team and to have a better follow-up and documentation of the tasks.
- Another very favorable advantage is that it has a mobile version, which allows you to follow the team's activities from your phone.
- It has a large number of supplements that help you facilitate and simplify daily activities.

Cons: - Something that would be better is that more people are allowed to make edits or modifications simultaneously or at the same time.
- It would be good if they could extend the time they give to the free trial version, so that the user learns to use this tool well and decides to buy or buy it faster.

Overall: Confluence is a tool made to improve and facilitate the exchange of information in work teams in a company, and help in the management and organization of projects.

Pros: With Confluence my team and I have a better way of working. We are more integrated and all under the same guidelines. This tool is unique, it allows us to stay connected through your app on our smart phones. I love its interface is very friendly and almost intuitive. Very easy to use and it is very efficient.

Cons: I think the free trial time should expand a bit. So those who are interested can have a unique experience and will be completely sure to buy the software.

Pros: Although the tool is primarily used as a project management platform we use confluence to house our internal Knowledge Base. It's kinda like an intranet that allows out PM's to have a go to location for knowledge, tools and resources.

Cons: For what we used it for we need a small team to manage the data that is uploaded to the environment.

Pros: I really like how simple and straightforward this product is to use. I use it as my go-to when documenting project notes, meeting minutes or anything else that needs to be recorded and not lost away in emails.

Cons: Some of the editors sometimes conflict when more than one person is making an edit. It would be good to see a 'collaboration' mode or similar.

Pros: Confluence offers many features, and it's available either self-hosted or in the cloud. There is a lot of documentation about how to use it. There are many applications and add-ons that plug into it. It's relatively simple to learn how to edit pages. There are great dashboards and collaboration features. Spaces are a nice way to split up content among different teams or areas of concern.

Cons: Can be a bit pricey. Administration can be cumbersome or complex due to the powerful features available. Can be slightly slow / resource hungry.

Pros: I liked that Confluence is really easy-to-use. A GUI editor means that you can just write things down even if you don't have any background in markdown. Inserting screen captures into your documentation pages is also easy, as all you have to do is copy, then drop the captures into the page, without needing to save them beforehand. Confluence has everything my team needs for coming up with comprehensive support documents. There are also many third-party plugins you can use for your documents, e.g. for generating PDF copies and formatting print-friendly pages.

Cons: Although the GUI editor is cool, at times, particularly when I want to customize a page, it's also its biggest drawback. You can't customize the page at all. Moreover, there are times when Confluence takes too long a time to load. Lastly, although documentation is comprehensive, at times, you have to do a lot of digging before you can find the appropriate support page for a feature. This might be because of the software's broad list of features. Many of the third-party plugins are also quite expensive.

Overall: Confluence is a more than capable page for generating support documentation.

Pros: This is an app used heavily by other departments in my company. I use it to track where engineering and IT are on certain tasks. There's been relatively low adoption of this tool, myself included, but when I've used it, it's works fine and is easy to maneuver through.

Cons: My guess is this tool is more robust than I'm aware of. The whole thing is very austere. Maybe if there were some prompts or alerts, or Did you know... interactions I'd have abetter idea of just how useful, or not useful, this app could be. But, for what I need it to do, it does an adequate job.

Pros: I most love the ability that Confluence allows different multiple teams to track, edit, manage everything from anywhere and any device. And you can use it for exchange information with your clients and your staff. Customer service helping too much.

Cons: The only thing that I hate about this software is there is no any autosave feature, you must save everything after you finished your work. And I would like to see exporting tool for download.

Pros: Confluence is great for writing and publishing data from the workspace. The user interface is quite user-friendly. It allows you to easily share information with members of your team.

Cons: The search function is not working properly, so problems sometimes arise with it. Not enough enough variants of templates for design are presented. In the editor, you need to increase the number of functions.

Pros: Since using Confluence my teamwork has improved immensely. Our work has become more collaborative and this has taken us to a higher level in terms of planning and organization. It is the most complete software we have ever tested. Very easy to use and very efficient.

Cons: What I did not like is the free trial, it only lasts a week, they should extend it up to 15 days, so it would convince even more of the really good thing that is Confluence.

Overall: Confluence is all that is needed to properly manage any project, without a doubt it is an efficient tool in all its functions. Its design is innovative, which allows any work team to use it without any problem. And the most important thing is to be able to use your mobile app and be in the whole process of your projects and not miss anything.
