The system is super easy to use and our team can start using it with little to no training. Our whole team can access the software on their phone and it helps us to communicate properly.

Pros

We were able to customize everything to suit our business. It now feels like the software was made specifically for us. Our business has doubled since we switched to Gingr. Our clients love the report cards. They bring their dogs more just to see more report cards :)

Pros

I love how much easier it is to use this software over previous software that we used in the past. When we train staff to make it easy we just say it is akin to using a shopping cart on an online store. I love the fact that I can access it from any device that has internet access. I love the fact that it is always being upgraded and made better.

Cons

I this point I see no bad elements with using gingr.

A definite 5 star review. As a newer and quickly growing daycare/training/overnight care facility, we did a tonne of research on all of the the daycare/boarding management products available and are very happy we chose Gingr to help us manage and grow our business. Gingr offers pretty much everything any doggy daycare/boarding/auxiliary service facility could ask for. Online booking, new client reservations, package tracking, group classes - so many man hours saved from our old manual system. It's fast, intuitive (read: easy to use once you get the basics) and any question or issue that we've had has either been answered or fixed super quickly or a good work around has been provided. The customer service is top rate - and FAST! The Gingr team is also very open to feedback and hearing what their clients need and want as they continue to develop and improve this already fantastic program. On the client end, the user interface is well designed and our clients have all raved about the ease of registration and making reservations - even our not so computer savvy folks were easily able to get themselves set up and appreciate being able to make a reservation without the back and forth of phone calls/voicemail etc. If you are considering making a switch, definitely sign up for a webinar to see what they offer - you wont regret it! We are very happy with Gingr. We used to have Paw Loyalty and could not trust our financial numbers which was not acceptable. Gingr is accurate and reliable.

Pros

Gingr gives you the dashboard that shows you what you need to run your business. The daily end of day report is great for loading my accounting system.

Cons

I would like some other forecasting and historical reports.

If you are not using this software, You are not using your kennels full potential for customer interaction, ease of use and marketing, accounting, time clock and so much more. Do yourself a favor and trial it, it will be the best decision you make.

Pros

This software is hands down the best doggie daycare and kennel software I have ever used. Between the customer portal and daily report cards and ease of use, I cannot say enough good things about Gingr. When I have a question or need help, it's a click away and the team's response time is very good. If you want to bring your facility up to date with technology, this is the system to use. It has everything you need plus more.

Cons

Have not found something that I truly do not like.

Better tracking of customers, MUCH better customer support. The ability to customize certain aspects.

Pros

I love the help/support and the option to request changes/updates. They always get back to us quickly, and will continue working with us until the problem is fixed. The system is really in depth but the basic's are easy to use and to learn.

Cons

I wish there was more training. I feel like there is so much I still don't know how to use, or don't even realize is something the system does. The help articles and customer service is great, but I feel like I, personally, would benefit from a "review" or ongoing training. Maybe set-up on line seminars through out the year clients could sign up for.

I switched from one of the large kennel software companies to Gingr in January 2015. I had been using my other software for 8 years and was looking for something more feature rich. I would consider my facility fairly busy, averaging about 120 dogs per day. Gingr has been amazing for its simplicity and intuitiveness. Not only did I make the switch with software, I hired two new receptionists in January. They both picked up the program in a day. I love the fact that it's one click to check clients in and only a few to check them out. In a fast paced environment, that's priceless. That my clients have their own online portal to manage their information and reservations is life changing. I couldn't be happier. Switching to relatively new application has not been without hiccups. This scenario never would be completely perfect. But the staff at Gingr has been so receptive and accommodating to my requests. I am hard pressed to think of a company that is more of a pleasure to do business with. I email daily with requests or suggestions and, no matter how trivial my idea, the support staff of Lee and Aaron are always prompt to reply and to help with my needs. I cannot say enough about them. I would say that I am completely pleased with my decision to utilize Gingr. I can't wait to see what amazing things the future holds with this company!

This system is simply amazing for our facility. So many features that fit right into our day to day operations and the ease of use is fantastic. Anytime we have questions the Gingr staff is prompt to respond and help us figure out a solution to our problem. They are constantly striving to make the system better, and we couldn't thank them enough. Our clients seem to love it, and we can't stop raving to the customers how we love it too!

Pros

Time clock features, Icons (and how customizable they are), Ease of Use, and how easily our old system transferred to the new system.

Cons

Can't think of much? And if we do come across something, all we have to do is talk to Gingr staff and they will help out as much as they can, or update their software on the next roll out.

Sometimes it can be a bit slow, also if your internet is down your are out of luck, but thats with any software

We love this new interface that we have with our clients. Running a boarding facility that is connected to a vet clinic provides for some small challenges for us. We have tried other systems for our boarding software, but most lack the forethought of what is needed for pets staying for longer than a day or two. Vet based client software is very medical focused doesn't have the fluffy, customer service related features that we, and our clients, like. For the most part, Gingr is easy to use, puts things in a logical place and keeps records of what we need to know. Of course, with every piece of software, there may be some glitches or tweaks that could be made to make everyone happy. Gingr has a great support website that allows the support team to be open about future feature requests and has training videos so that you don't have to re-create the wheel. The support team has been there for us 100% in a very timely manner. We love the live chat option for being able to get in touch with them quickly if the need arises. Gingr allows us to be able to communicate with our clients on a daily basis, letting them know how their pets are doing, allows us to keep information on file from the last stay, and send home pics when they do something great. I would highly recommend Gignr to anyone looking for new boarding software.

Fantastic system is great to work with easy to search, everything's in front of you I love how you can put employee notes I love how we can put incident reports I love how we can upload pictures I think your is system is awesome overall I give it a big fat 10 hands down the best if I could give you better than a 10 I would please work on the tips.

Pros

Ginger is fantastic for searching for clients it's a great system we have now been using it for 2 years we deal with a 150 dogs on a daily basis it always run smoothly it's easy for the customers with check outs to have their cards on file was fantastic they're not fumbling for their card anymore or running outside to get their credit card there's so many good features about Ginger I'm really not sure which ones to touch bases on, I thank you guys for an awesome system. Keep up the great work Thank You for everything.

Cons

The one feature I don't like about gingr is the tips we cannot separate tips to each individual I think Ginger should have a drop down Box That has a link with groomers names, and each of the dog trainers so that at the end of the 2 week payroll we don't have to go over all the tips and figure out who gets what? If you go to one of your competitors it's called kennel suite they have that feature that works really well that is the only thing that I'm not happy with on your system other than that it is fantastic. Again thank you very much for everything and have a Happy New Year.

Pros

The Gingr software has a good user interface. The program is easy to learn. I like the email and SMS features. We take advantage of emailing clients straight from Gingr, and it allows us to choose specific client groups to send a canned email to. I love that we can use it at multiple business locations and share one client database.

Cons

The software lacks some reporting features. While it does offer a decent selection of report options, our business requires more than it offers.

We chose this product for our NYC training facility (we do board & train programs and board dogs that we previously trained). A really great product that was much needed in our industry. Over the past 5 years, I would occasionally look at various solutions out there and none of them matched our needs in a way that also presented a professional web-based front-end to the client; Gingr changed all of that. They are a relatively new company which does carry some risk, but their customer service has been top notch. Very responsive and their live chat feature has answered most of my questions within minutes. Clients are also communicating that they have easy/positive experience with the system, and our team is loving how much it is cutting down on admin work (kennel cards, vaccination records, deposits, invoicing, paperwork, etc). These folks really have their finger on this industry. While I use another program to manage my consults and lessons, Gingr has knocked it out of the park for our boarding needs. Highly recommend. You won't be disappointed.

We are able to have clients log on from the comfort of their own home and register what they need. It helps us when we're moving pets around or busy with other clients. Any questions are quickly answered by support. So far, a great experience.

Pros

The ease of use for clients. They log right on and set themselves up with no issues. The features are easy to read and if you have questions, either the videos or support will answer them.

Cons

Nomenclature sometimes varies from region to region. Just need to get use to the flow.

We have been using Gingr for about 8-9 months now and it has helped make our lives significantly easier. The reservation portion of it is easy to use for both us and our customers. The billing system works well after getting the hang of it. Customer service does an excellent job and are always there for us and very helpful. Very good value that doesn't break the bank.

has everything we need in one program. Saves a ton of time and helps eliminate mistakes with billing

lack of customization, would be nice to have a few more optional features

It does soooo much for administration that I was intimidated. 1 year in, i feel like there is still more it can do for me. I just need to learn. So...not a bad thing.

Pros

Taking payments and keep our clients organized and updated is so easy with this software. The customers find it easy to log on and request boarding/daycare instead of needing to call or email.

Cons

We don't have any need for the grooming aspect of the software so I wish there was an easier way to just get rid of all the unnecessary options for our business
