Pros

The software interface is pretty straightforward. Everything is extremely customizable. The online features have brought us new business and the credit card interface has improved our tips.

Cons

Overall, we haven't noted many cons. It is more our stubbornness that has taken us so long to adjust to it. After using pen and paper for 35+ years, it's a big transition but it has definitely brought us more business and improved our current business.

We are just in the beginning stages of using the Ginger software, but in our limited time with the software we are extremely happy with customer support, ease of use, and the flexibility of the program. Initially we thought we would be disappointed because of the limited phone support, however, the live chat text support is phenomenal. The techs are very savvy about their product and have helped us figure out almost every issue we have encountered.

Ability to perform functions with limited clicks.

This streamlines record keeping and scheduling. I can't imagine running a boarding place without it.

Pros

Once you figure out some basic navigation, the software is intuitive for everything we have needed. Customer service is AWESOME.

Cons

There are little things, like being able to put "notes" on a lodging calendar. I've submitted them for review and hopeful future integration. Other than that, I have no complaints about the software overall.

Pros

I love that I can watch my pup on the wed cam. I love that I can make a reservation and pay all on this app. It save me time and hassle at the end of my pups appointment. So convenient and make me feel at ease I can see my pup when ever I want while she is there

Cons

Just needs to process payments faster sometimes it takes a few for a payment to go through

Everything! Rapid response for chat support, accessable anywhere, user friendly for both clients and users, and so many other new and exciting features.

Pros

It allows for a more interactive and engaging experience for our clients and our staff. Chat support has proven to be invaluable for us.

Cons

We don't have the ability to customize reports so we've had to make changes to some of our procedures to make the reports work.

Really good! The Gingr team is always quick to respond when we have questions. Their customer service is on point!

Pros

The way we can schedule boarding reservations. The systems allows you to pick a suite (or different one) for everyday of the reservation. This means we can fully utilize our entire facility during peak times.

Cons

This was slightly more expensive than our previous software, but well worth the cost!

The system is very organized and up to date. The customers can get reports on their pet and love the updates.

Pros

Speed! We work at a doggy daycare and we're always on the move. The fact that I can pull up Gingr and look up things so quick is such a perk.

Cons

There has been a few occasions where the software wasn't working. The issue resolved pretty quick and in a timely fashion/

I LOVE Gingr! The developers have years of experience in the pet boarding and daycare industry, and have built a top notch program. The Gingr customer portal and ease of booking has grown our business AND reduced phone calls and receptionist payroll tremendously. The Gingr marketing features allow us to reach the client about upcoming events, stirring excitement and creating a buzz that's contagious! Most importantly, the Gingr pricing rules have taken our once-complicated billing and made it so easy that anyone can do it! No more calculator and pencil and no more billing errors! Now-a potential employee doesn't have to be a math genius to work at our front desk! THANKS, Gingr!!

After 8 years of a traditional software program, switching to Gingr was one of the best decisions I made last year for my business. From asking new clients, the registration process through Gingr via our website is very user friendly; and the fact that clients can make, change or cancel reservations without calling is a tremendous plus for both the clients and our staff. Internally, the software is very intuitive, easy to learn and use effectively regarding all client and pet information. I am constantly impressed with how the company has continued to improve Gingr and provide additional elements to help the small business owner be more successful.

I have been in business for the last six years. Six months ago I met the founders Lee and Aaron and two weeks before Thanksgiving (our busiest season), we switched to gingr! Lee and Aaron spent time at our facility training all of my staff and answering millions of questions that week via text, email and phone! Since then, they have continued to improve an already great product and more than anything else, they LISTEN to us!! Our clients love that they can get report cards to see how their pups are doing, they can make reservations, they can even upload vaccines and pictures for us to see!! Thank you gingr for making my business run a little smoother!!

Being open for 6 years now, and GINGR being our 3rd program to use and I am so happy that we found them. They are the program that I dreamed of. Although this is our first week of actually using it - we are already in love. The customer service is amazing and the organization of the team astounds me. They are top notch and respond immediately. As a starter program, i can already tell they are going to be the best system out there! With their passion, drive and always 'yes' attitude - this is the one you should trust upon! All our staff are happy - and the time saved - is god send!! We have had such a great experience with Gingr! We converted all 4 of our locations this past year and are so pleased with the results!! The Gingr team had us well prepared for the data conversion and everything went rather smoothly, especially considering our rather large customer database. And their support team is incredible!!! Anytime I email or live chat (and believe me, I contact them A LOT!!!), I get immediate results and answers. They are always adding new features and improving on their current system. Seriously folks, if you are looking for the future of kennel management software, check them out. So impressed!!!

We have been with Gingr for over a year now and love all of the features it has to offer us as a company. Before finding Gingr we had been with two other softwares that simply didn't meet our needs. What we like best about the system is there is always someone to help us if we have questions and they seem to genuinely care that we are satisfied with their system. It also helps that they are always looking for was to improve and make a better product!

They are not in our time zone so their customer service hours don't quite work 100% for us

We have operated a dog kennel for the past 7 years and went from keeping records by pencil and paper to looking for an online solution. We were shocked at how antiquated most boarding software was and very few cloud based services. We looked at 2 other services, one had horrible customer service and the other had an incredible clunky interface. Then we met the Gingr team at a conference and they have lived up to every word they told us that day. Their customer service is incredible and timely. They help you solve any issues you may struggling with and they do it with a smile. We could not be happier!

We have used GINGR since we opened our >100 unit boarding facility in July 2015. The GINGR team worked with us to get get us up and running quickly and they have been extremely responsive to any of our requests. They make us feel like we are a part of their team and they are open to suggested enhancements which they turn around very quickly. We are anxiously waiting for the inclusion of a rewards programs. Having retired from the IT industry, I appreciate the customer service and quick releases. We are very pleased with GINGR and look forward to a long relationship built on mutual benefit.

My favorite thing about Gingr is it has taken multiple forms we used to use and all of it is integrated into Gingr. Checking dogs in and out is a breeze!

I am having struggles with the financial piece of the software and putting that information into Quick Books.

Customer service has been incredible! They helped us tremendously while getting our feet wet with the software. They answered questions, and were open to suggestions for improvement. Since they are constantly updating the software and adding new helpful tools, they take our needs into consideration and keep improving. Gingr honestly seems to get better and better each time I log in. This software has made keeping track of all aspects of our company so much easier. From financial reports, to pet feeding and medication schedules, Gingr has it covered. We highly recommend Gingr!

Finding an easy to use software has been a challenge in our industry for a long time, especially for larger facilities. We switched to Gingr at one of our locations and have been very happy with it! Not only is it easy to use, but it offers many great features that will help us communicate more closely with our clients and market our business. The customer service has been outstanding. We are looking forward to transitioning our other locations to the new software in a few weeks!

The grooming part of it could use some work. Hard to see schedules, vaccinations records etc. Reporting for financials isnt the best. Hard to get what you need exactly.

As a new Doggie Daycare, I was looking for software that was comprehensive in scope, able to grow as my business did, intuitive to use for my staff, and have accessible options for my customers ( the human ones). Gingr is by far the best investment I made. It has allowed us to make money because I have had no down time, great response from support when needed ( very little and more for my education that system issues), and the features separate me from my competitors! Look no further! Gingr is the Best in use and value!

Having everything located in one place makes it so much faster and easier to check-in/out clients. Automatically counting the amount of clients and types of bookings per day, allowing owners to book through the Gingr app, allowing owners to view report cards and invoices through the app, allowing staff to access the software though any computer, are just a few of the many reasons why this product is so awesome! Very impressed and so happy we have finally found the right kennel software for us!!!

Cons

Collecting deposits including tax is a hassle. Tip reports are confusing. No dog birthday features
