Pros: SharpSpring has revolutionized the way we archive and communicate with our clients. We keep records of each person and their online activity. We deploy emails to promote our business and stay in touch with the needs of our customers. The interface is intuitive, clean, and multifaceted.

Cons: The email building tool can be a challenge to figure out at first, but easily used when you understand the basics.

Comments: SharpSpring is worth using in general for smaller companies.

Pros: Early on, SharpSpring was great. It was efficient and fast, and the price was very fair//competitive.

Cons: Unfortunately, being publicly traded leaves the shareholders in charge of the company. This can lead to quick price changes and odd business strategies.

I use daily to create, edit and send emails to distribution lists, and then post to social media.

Pros: It is incredibly simple and intuitive to edit a current template, copy to another version and modify, or even to create a template; adding distribution lists is fast and easy, sending is easy, and integration with SalesForce is great.

Cons: The templates provided for quick, custom emails are nice, but it is hard to customize them - there are limited options as to how to add text, edit a box to add an image/copy, etc. - it would be better if these were more modifiable and much easier than starting new template designs from scratch with code for users not fluent in html.

Cons: BILLING COMPLETELY DECEPTIVE. THEY WONT LET YOU OFF THE HOOK IF THE PRODUCT DOES NOT WORK FOR YOU. WHO DOES THAT? THIS IS A SOFTWARE - ANY OTHER COMPANY WILL LET YOU CANCEL. NOT SHARPSPRING! THEY WANT TO CHARGE FOR AN ADDITIONAL 60 DAYS!!!! RIDICULOUS - DO NOT PURCHASE!

Pros: This is a great option for customers who have a smaller budget, but want a portal. It is also easy to use so you don't have to be a web designer to make changes and create different things.

Cons: The blog features are really lacking. They don't look super clean and I usually try to find something else to use

Pros: Ease of entry for a new company or client is key. The platform stands up quickly and provides the fundamental requirements a smaller company needs. It's an excellent precursor to Hubspot.

Cons: It won't be a great fit for larger enterprises, but it really isn't meant to be. It doesn't do everything, but it does more than most small companies are currently doing.

Pros: From a price to value ratio, Sharpspring is hands down the best option for marketing automation software. They cater to marketing agencies and offer them great pricing. The interface is clean and easy to use and they add new features each week. Comes with a built-in CRM that is pretty robust and works perfectly with the automation software. Also integrates with Salesforce.

Cons: Missing chat capabilities and the landing page builder is pretty bad at the moment but is improving. They also tend to rollout new features before fully working out the bugs in existing features, which can leave you with many features that you don't use.

Overall: I use it everyday for my business as well as for clients. If you do online lead generation and marketing and want to be able to track ROI online, this is the tool to use. Great value for your money.

A bit lacking in features, but still a very solid contender.

Pros: SharpSpring as a whole is much cheaper than alternatives and is low-risk due to monthly contracts instead of annual contracts, and is also easier to use. SharpSpring is also well known for being a good choice for agencies, being fully rebrandable and offering special features/management options for agencies specifically.

Cons: Like most software, cheapness and simplicity often comes at the cost of power, and SharpSpring lacks advanced features that more expensive alternatives provide.

Pros: It seems like Sharpspring can do just about anything. It's easily as rich in features as hubspot with far less engineers working on the software.

All of my marketing automation needs can be met by Sharpspring.

I really like the native forms aspect where I can create my own HTML5 form in the code and then simply add a small script from Sharpspring and it automatically maps my form fields to my Sharpspring back end.

Cons: It has a steep learning curve and isn't the most user-friendly. I am a web developer by trade and I struggle regularly with implementing various Sharpspring features.

Their documentation is very vague. They provide code samples with little to no explanation behind them.

Overall: It satisfies all my marketing automation needs. I can set up entire sales/marketing funnels and it helps with my lead generation.

Pros: Can pay month to month. Easy to use and set up, intuitive for users. Provides a lot of information on clients and basic email and website reports.

Cons: Customer support is not great, however they do offer webinars. Some of the reporting is not as detailed as I hoped.

Pros: I like the ease of use and the platform is easy to train new employees on. The functionality of sending out drip campaigns to our prospect lists has worked well.

Cons: After being an agency partner for 2+ years, our company has yet to make a dime off of this investment.

First of all, the training they "supply" is almost non-existent. When we first became a partner, we had a couple of calls but then, nothing. There were many "learning pains" that we endured with SharpSpring even so much so as, demos I do with clients being times that "sharpspring is down."

It is very difficult to sell a product that does not work when you are trying to show clients the power of the system.

We also had a MAJOR real estate brokerage use the site for recruiting and, when messages were not being sent as they were scheduled to send, the client left our company and the SS product.

The platform is over priced and does not provide the support you would expect from a company as such.

SharpSpring has cost us as a business for our choice to invest in them. Had we gone with a platform that actually worked when it was needed and had the kind of training for us that they should have, we would be way ahead of the game. Instead, we are starting fresh with a new company that will hopefully fulfill their part in our agreement.

I would never recommend this product to anyone that is looking for an automation system.

Overall: Nothing. This company is completely worthless. They deleted a clients account out of the blue and also do not follow through with their commitments.

Pros: Is a very complete platform offers all the features you need to start marketing especially if it is a small business or that is just starting, it allows you to maintain constant communication with your customers and create campaigns, newsletters and everything you need from the marketing automation

Pros: As a content marketer, I began using SharpSpring for my own business, as well as for several of my clients, because it connect the dots between marketing and sales. No where else will you find a greater value in a marketing automation platform. If you are going to invest in content creation, and outbound marketing campaigns (be it outbound sales efforts and/or digital advertising) you've got to have an automation machine behind you to increase the return on that investment. Further, with a simple piece of code, SharpSpring creates a symbiotic relationship with your website that literally turns it into an outbound sales person. And with power that rivals Hubspot and others but at 1/10th the cost--SharpSpring is a no-brainer.

Cons: As with most automated platforms, it takes time to learn. Be realistic--and plan on six months or more to really begin to grasp, understand, and leverage the power.

Pros: The email capabilities are outstanding and easy to use. The landing page capability is the best I've seen in this type of application. Quicker ramp up than with other marketing automation systems. The support has been phenomenal.

Cons: Would like more integrations without API-more modular connections so certain integrations require developer support.

Pros: Tried them out with liking the fact that it's a month to month contract and at a lower cost than some of the others. Love the ease to integrate connectivity with other systems.

Cons: Had some challenges with getting helpful support. There are a lot of features so there may be a learning curve. I found it to be on the easier side as I had an idea of what I wanted. Give them a try. It's a low risk.

Pros: Marketing Automation Tool for pros.

This is for companies that really want to achieve more sales. Basically it is a tool that agencies can offer to their clients.

It is easy to setup, easy to navigate, easy to manage.

You can have email automation in order to deliver the right message at the right time to help with the sales process.

You can also have forms, visitor id, built in and third party crm, social integration, basically the works.

It costs only a fraction of what the competition costs, yet it is very powerful, it is excellent for landing pages.

Strong recommendation for people who want to automate their marketing efforts.

Again, It is a great tool for agencies since it is fully rebrandable.

Cons: Even though the price is lower than the competition, the price is prohibiting for small companies and people starting up. That is the only thing I would consider a con.

Overall: The ease of use, the amazing landing pages, the way they are made to close sales and are great looking make things so much easier

Pros: Best value lies in its consolidation of several important marketing tools in one (eg site analytics, lead tracking, form creation, email campaigns, landing pages). This enables most small and medium size businesses to handle all the marketing within a single tool, which provides great synergy and a full view of the customer lifecycle. Overall though, this is a perfect tool for organizations who need a single platform for their awareness building, conversion and lead nurturing.

Cons: Lots of tools in the 'light' category so if using for a more Medium to large sized business you might be better off with more specific tools for certain jobs (eg: email wysiwyg vs a more dedicated service such as mailchimp). That said you can integrate all those tools in sharpspring to track.

Pros: This software allows us to manage social clients in their new social features. I love how responsive the reps have been at getting us set up. We are also using this as a CRM. This software has pretty good lead life tracking.

Cons: There have only been a few cons. 1. You cannot track social leads unless they are already a contact in your system.
2. The contact area seems a little glitchy.

Overall: Scheduling for social clients and tracking our leads.

Pros: Last year my company decided to switch from Hubspot -where we'#39;d been for three years- to SharpSpring. We knew the transition would be tough, but SharpSpring seemed like a great, and less expensive, alternative. Now, a few months in, we only wish we switched sooner. While SharpSpring doesn'#39;t have everything Hubspot does, it has a lot of things Hubspot does not, and it has everything we need as a small business. My only complaint originally was that there was no social media calendar, but they just added one in December, which means we can use SharpSpring as our complete marketing and sales hub. Part of onboarding with SharpSpring includes one-on-one calls with a member of the team where you are taught about features of the program. At first, we thought this was unnecessary, but we really benefited from the guidance we got during onboarding. Here'#39;s a recent example of the kind of customer service you get from SharpSpring: He was our onboarding contact and when we had our last call he told me that, while onboarding was over, we were welcome to contact him if we had any questions. Yesterday I had a question about a workflow that customer support may have been able to answer, but that I thought the may be better able to help me with since he knows our company and our strategies. He wrote back by the next morning with detailed instructions on how I could achieve what I wanted to. This kind of support really sets SharpSpring apart and I would absolutely recommend it to others, especially those with small businesses like ours.

Cons: My only complaint with SharpSpring is that some tools can be a bit buggy sometimes, but customer support has always been very helpful.

Pros: The system offers all functionality needed for SME marketing auotomation. It is pretty straightworward in use, support and documentation are very helpful. The system is flexible which makes it easy to combine and connect with other systems. Great value for money.

Cons: We have not experienced cons yet, however the standard number of pageviews in the licence could be a con.

Pros: SharpSpring is a full-featured marketing automation solution. It has analytics, automation, social calendar, landing pages, visitor insights, a CRM, all built in. And it's a fraction of the cost of some of the other big players.

Cons: It seems a bit clunky in terms of usability. It's also not as customizable as we would like. For instance, we had to move to a different CRM solution instead of using the built in solution, due to not being able to customize it to meet our needs. We've also found customer support to leave much to be desired.

Pros: FLEXIBILITY: This software integrates with just about anything. I have it (1)connected to several apps that we use via Zapier integration, (2)connected to our existing online forms, (3)integrated with landing pages we have on other platforms...it integrates with just about everything.
PRICE: This is the least expensive of the marketing automation platforms that we reviewed as part of our evaluation process. The cost is a bargain in comparison to the combination of software it replaces (landing page builder, CRM, email marketing, social media scheduler, etc.) and you get the added benefit of everything being integrated.

Cons: The software can be a bit confusing because there are so many features. You can get overwhelmed by the number of options. It's best to start with a strategy and then setup your Sharpspring instance to support that strategy. It was also lacking a social media component but, they just added that component in December and I haven't yet had the chance to play with it.

Overall: I use it regularly to manage my own pipeline of leads and opportunities.

Pros: On-Boarding was a fun and easy experience Application management and usability is very easy Technical support and friendliness is amazing

Cons: Ability to change fonts and make more custom changes working with email templates would be ideal. Since working with Landing Pages are great, maybe this is an opportunity to work together with other features

Do not let that fool you into thinking it is too basic. It is well designed and gives you a full overview of all marketing and sales metrics,

The SharpSpring platform is very easy to use and configure, and their customer service is top-notch. We especially appreciated their Onboarding process, which equipped us with the skills and knowledge we needed to manage the platform on our own. That self-reliance was crucial in our decision to move forward with SharpSpring.

We feel that the pricing is more than fair, and we are seeing tremendous value from the platform. SharpSpring helps us to have a truly integrated marketing and sales function.

Cons: We'd like to see more flexibility in the reporting--the ability to create a personalized dashboard with the precise metrics we need to monitor on a daily basis. The information is available in SharpSpring, but we have to look in several different places to find it.

Overall: - Ability to better understand the goals and needs of prospects and follow up with them in meaningful ways

Pros: We LOVED the dashboard! The pipeline feature is second do none. It allows you to clearly visualize your prospects and where they are in the process as well as your outreach history with them. This is the best feature of the platform It is robust and very user friendly. The support they provided to walk you through the platform was a plus too.

Cons: The platform lacked the functionality we needed to make it worth the price. Our team spent dozens of hours working with the tool, but there are multiple essential features we need that aren't available.

A few examples:
- Ability to stop an action group/ workflow if someone replies to an email
- Multiple email formatting problems - the editor does not work properly nor does actually editing HTML
- Dynamic geolocation based on IP address from email opens
- Ability to add reminders via automations (in general, the triggers and actions in the automation are much more limited than what we're used to)
- Unable to automatically add UTM tracking codes vs. manually
- API is very limited

Overall: nothing really.

SharpSpring is an incredible tool for marketers looking to get into inbound marketing.

Pros: Sharpspring is a great all-inclusive CRM and marketing automation platform for small businesses. The platform has a ton of features that can really help a business get solid intelligence to plan outbound prospecting and marketing automation.

Cons: There are a ton of features but none of them that work perfectly. SharpSpring tries to be a lot of things to a lot of people, but it doesn't hone in on one feature and do it better than anyone else. My biggest problem with the platform is that it's unreliable and the customer service is rather poor when I do have issues.

Overall: An all-in-one platform that doesn't require me to export contact lists to a CRM or email outreach automation tool.

Pros: Very intuitive and easy to use. Helps track leads and ROI for all marketing $ spent. The SharpSpring team has been a great partner for us and helped us use the platform to grow our business.

Cons: Manual data entry can be a little clunky. You have to be fully committed. You have to spend the time developing your work flows and have your team implement and use 100% or the benefits are greatly diminished.

Pros: The life of the lead really brings your sales and marketing together it allows every user to see what's going on with that particular lead to reduce confusion and/or duplication in communication. With all the analytics it has reduced all the large spreadsheets for monitoring your marketing activities I can now use SharpSpring for everything and I am looking forward to the Social Media scheduling coming shortly to really complete the product!

Cons: No calendar in SharpSpring at the moment but I believe this is coming with the social media scheduling!

Pros: In general the product is just great, but what really makes SharpSpring unique is their on-boarding program. You really feel appreciated as a customer while you learn everything you need to know about the product. SharpSpring has highly skilled professionals at your service. After completing their on-boarding program you are ready to generate ROI.

Cons: A few minor bugs in the SW, but you can always find a work around. Landing pages are currently not allowing https.

Pros: I was looking for a way to combine my smart marketing automation with our CRM tool--so finance, sales and marketing could all be on the same page and trackable via one dashboard. SharpSpring was our top choice, and since day one, throughout the 6-week onboarding process, and now to my 20+ team's daily use, our firm is better for it.

Cons: You have to commit to it-- it can't be just a good idea that you assign to others and there's no follow there. Your entire team- from marketing to sales to finance- should see this as necessary infrastructure for the modern organization and should invest hours on the onset to train on the system. It takes a full 6 weeks.

Pros: Initially, the biggest feature was the lack of sticker shock associated with purchasing this software. We are a small marketing agency that drank the HubSpot Kool-aid so to speak. We signed on and went through all the training to become an Agency Partner. While it's great software, the price tag puts it outside the realm of feasible for most small business budgets. We found ourselves having to cut our own profits to get people to sign up for it and then they were frustrated at the year contract. SharpSpring solves that problem. They have the main automation product that goes head to head with HubSpot for features in every way for significantly less monthly investment and no lengthy contracts. Then they have the Mail+ product that's great for the really small clients. It has some limits on features, but offers a way lower price point for baby-stepping a client into the platform. And the most impressive thing was their onboarding process. They gave me unlimited access to a dedicated human while I was getting things set up and learning to use it for the first 60 days. The coolest part to me was that he was able and willing to deviate from the typical onboarding script. Instead of putting me through the usual paces, we spent our sessions diving into my client's needs and getting things set up. That saved me so much time and allowed me to onboard 8 clients in the first 2 months.

Cons: The landing page builder stinks- but honestly, I use Thrive Architect and WordPress anyway, so this didn't matter to me. When I pitched a feature request at them to look at Thrive Architect, the dev team said they were already talking to the owner of Thrive Themes and looking at how to either integrate it or build a similar tool. If they do anything even close, it would be awesome. And they don't have social publishing yet, but I'm told it's coming soon... fingers crossed.

Pros: ease of use, innovative software that really is easy to use, very intuitive and has some great functionality that is very well thought out. A lot of the features are constantly improving which is good, and the support is second to none.

Cons: editing system for emails is not user friendly, the html editor is outdated, but once you manage this its ok.

Overall: primarily it is an add on service to my business - it provides a platform for us to offer more for our clients.

Pros: Can really get started quickly. From importing current contacts via CSV to sending those initial contacts an email, it's fast, simple and can bring some great results. Our agency began using SharpSpring in late 2016 after we compared other marketing automation platforms. The pricing structure was just what our growing digital agency needed...not to break our bank, but to allow us to mature and grow and provide awesome automation solutions to our client base. Our agency doesn't have a sales team, we're just made up of a handful of partners currently, and we're able to nurture new clients and grow our leads into customers all by utilizing workflows and email campaigns. Couldn't grow without SharpSpring.

Cons: One thing that comes to mind is SharpSpring is still considered "young" in the MA space. But with all the changes and integrations their dev team is implementing, SharpSpring could "spring" to the top of the list very soon.

Now small and mid-sized companies have affordable access to software that streamlines and activates lead generation, contact handling, sales management, and analytics. We¿ve found SharpSpring ideally suited for clients that want to layer marketing automation over existing marketing platforms. SharpSpring is a highly flexible service, offering integrations with many popular apps including Salesforce and Google Adwords as well as Shopify and Magento for ecommerce businesses.

Cons: No complaints here. We have given feedback during the onboarding process and received excellent support from highly trained and responsive staff. SharpSpring is just a few years old, so updates are frequent and expected for the future. ¿
