### "Reliable, Safe Payment Gateway for our fundraising"

Flipcause has the features we need and the organization is responsive and supportive. We use this application every day. It keeps our non-profit moving forward, allowing us to focus on our work.

Pros

We selected Flipcause for the ease of use for recurring donations and creating new campaigns. The short payment cycle was another key factor. As a small NGO, we could not afford to wait 15-30 days for payouts. The support team is very responsive and easy to contact when we have an issue. They have strong security and have worked with us to facilitate international donations.

Cons

The payment page has been slow to load at times but is usually fixed in the next software update.

### "Flipcause is AWESOME for nonprofits. "

FLFR started using Flipcause in 2018. They made it very easy to integrate databases of donors to their activity tracker. And to transfer information from our old website to their system. After 6 years of using Flipcause we are delighted. Their system is easy and secure. We highly recommend their software and services.

Pros

The activity tracker, the ability to create campaigns and donation pages, the quick and efficient way in which they respond to our emails - it is human support!!! How easy it is to update our website. It is a reasonable yearly fee for a small non-profit. It has helped Friends of the Locust Fork River be organized, be better at fundraising, and become well known nonprofit in our community.

Cons

Nothing. We like it all! Since I am to write 40 characters, I can say that some of our board members have struggled a bit getting reports. Other than that it is great.

### "High Fees, and take forever to have your money"

You cannot talk to a live person except via chat, they promise to have someone 'look into it'. They make promises they do not keep.

Pros

I would say none that outweigh the negatives of high fees and holding funds for a month. They have someone to chat with and they can help with technical matters but you wait forever for the money your donors thought they were making accessible to you immediately online.

Cons

Their transaction fee's are almost DOUBLE what other platforms are. They charge 5.9% + .30 PER TRANSACTION...what donor wants to pay that? And they hold your money for well over 30 days, we have two accounts with them are changing asap. Someone gives online with a credit card, and you don't receive it for at least 21 days. Pretty absurd.

### "Many great features and tons of help"

Flipcause enabled me to track donors and donations with much less work and more efficiency than the Excell spreadsheet I was using. When they added Web service, they improved my website and made it look more current. I make most small changes myself, but my Flipcause Success Team helps me with anything challenging or too time-consuming.

Pros

Flipcause has enabled me to keep running my nonprofit without having to hire extra help. My Success Team is there to tweak anything, answer questions, create a new campaign, or update my web page. The Help content answers many of my questions, but most of it is easy to use. They also add new features that I love, like the Live Chat that gives me immediate answers to quick questions.

Cons

It was challenging to set up everything in the beginning, but it runs very smoothly for the most part. I wish someone would write new thank-you messages for each level of donation. My recurring donors must be tired of the same response every time!

Pros

The website service is stellar; their response time and profressionalism is second to none.

Cons

Literally NONE of what they do matters if they are unwilling to transfer donation dollars to our bank account. When we first started with Flipcause, donations happened quickly. Over the last year and a half, every transfer request feels like a wrestling match. I will initiate the request, and then I will have to follow up on day 11 (after their self-imposed 5-10 business day turnaround) with an email, then a live-chat conversation, and then at least 2-3 more emails. And it seems to be getting worse, not better. Our board is suspicious, and I am now forced to contemplate finding a different company - and the painful process involved with moving all of our data and learning a new system. DO NOT SUBSCRIBE TO THIS SYSTEM. If the money part doesn't work, nothing else matters.

### "Read their Better Business Bureau Complaints First"

Initially interactions when researching Flipcause, in mid-2022, were positive and promising. Fully implementing them and getting support transitioning our website in mid-2023 was less positive and a bit concerning. Ever since we've gotten fully implemented as of 7/1/23 the experience had steadily declined to the point there is zero support and next to no communication. It's not acceptable and as soon as we can get our money, if we get our money, we will be quickly moving away from them.

Pros

They provide a helpful web package. As a small non-profit, being able to easily update our website, in tandem with implementing donor software, is why we opted to initially move to Flipcause. It is no longer worth the stress.

Cons

Virtually zero customer service/support. You cannot actually speak with anyone there; all communication must be through email. Throughout the past 18 months we've used them, their response time has gone from within 24 hours, to ignoring most emails altogether. It's infuriating. If you're reliant on the funds that you are raising to operate your nonprofit, be aware that they state that when you request a transfer of your funds it should hit your bank account within 7-10 business days. That timeline alone is ridiculous, but we could manage to that if it was accurate. Never, since we've utilized Flipcause, have we received our money in this time frame. The last transfer request took me a minimum of 5 emails to get a response out of the company, and well over three weeks of waiting, before we received our funds. When they provide a reason for the delay, it never sounds believable. As of right now, it's 12/4/24 and I'm still waiting to receive funds I requested be transferred to our bank account on 11/6/24.

### "Flipcause Makes Our Life Easier"

Overall, we are quite pleased with our experience with Flipcause. And once our membership gets used to working with FC, they find it easier too.

Pros

I have recommended Flipcause to friends over the past 6+ years mainly because it has made my life so much easier, especially when reconciling our bank accounts. Financial transactions are clearly listed and what used to take hours to reconcile, now takes minutes. Campaigns run very smoothly, my success team is very helpful when we occasionally run into a problem. And it's now just a pleasure to work with them

Cons

There are two things that I like the least: 1. I used to be able to speak to a human being if I had a challenging question; but that has changed almost everywhere and every organization and I do get an email response rather quickly from my team. 2. It used to take 2 or 3 days to transfer funds from FC to our bank but now takes 10 days or more. However, this is becoming more typical of financial institutions of late. I guess it's because of all the fraudulent activity that is out there nowadays.

### "Was Great but Things have Changed "

Recently it’s been pretty terrible. As a non-profit we need donations to function, so them not transferring the donations to our bank account makes it pretty useless.

Pros

I think it is a really good interface for donors. I also appreciate the monthly donor option.

Cons

We have had Flipcause for over two years and never had a problem. We are a small nonprofit and rely heavily on individual donations. They claim to transfer funds no later than 10 business days after you request a transfer. The last 3 times I have requested a transfer, I have had to reach out to their accounting department to initiate the transfer after the 10 business days had passed. This time it has been nearly a month since I initiated the transfer and we still have not received our donations. I have put in multiple tickets through their support function. I keep being told accounting will reach out to me and they haven’t (it’s been 5 days). I have also directly emailed accounting twice with no response. I will not be able to pay our bills on time this week because they have not transferred our donations. The fact accounting can’t even give me an update is appalling. We will be trying to find a new a platform which will be a total pain if this isn’t resolved soon. They seem to be holding our donations hostage.

Flipcause is always easy to contact and work with. We're super happy with our partnership.

Pros

Flipcause helps us do more with less. Our previous software was expensive and to have full functionality it would require us to pay more, but with Flipcause we have everything at the one price. We're able to do everything we need from campaigns to event sign-ups and everything in between. The big thing we love is how much we can customize every element.

Cons

I wish we had more ability to contact our donors within different segments to help drive donations.

### "Flipcause has helped us raise more money than we were able to before"

Flipcause is helping us to take in more donations because that is its focus. We are able to funnel program registrations through the Flipcause campaigns so that we get donations and people signing up for our programs. The tech support at Flipcause has been phenomenal and extremely helpful.

Pros

I like the easy way we can set up campaigns, and then communicate with people that sign up or donate to that campaign. The interface is very flexible and thorough. Creating a website with Flipcause has also been easy to do, as is maintaining it.

Cons

It is missing a relational database which would be very useful to us. In addition, it doesn't have a batch mailer capability so we have to maintain a separate database for emailing people.

### "An all-in-one platform for small nonprofits"

The Flipcause team is responsive and helpful. I was worried we would get less responsiveness after our trial ended, but that has not been the case. We are overall very happy with the cost of the platform and the service we receive. We've already referred a fellow nonprofit!

Pros

Flipcause appealed to our small nonprofit because of the number of features available for its very reasonable price. We had been using multiple services to get the features Flipcause offered all-inclusive, so making the switch alone saved us time and money. The biggest sell for us was the inclusion of website design and hosting via Weebly. We were in the market for an updated website, and had been intimidated by the prospect of doing it ourselves, or the price of hiring someone to help us make the switch to a new format/platform. Flipcause made it easy and affordable. We could not be happier with the new site and the simplicity of the Weebly interface! In addition, the fundraising arm of Flipcause is user-friendly and the fees are reasonable. We have moved our event registration over to Flipcause and we are not paying nearly the same percentage of fees we paid with Eventbrite or PayPal!

Cons

It is easiest in retrospect to import all existing payment and database information at once, versus in stages which is how we went about it. I wish there was more automated features for contact outreach and emailing, but this isn't something we had with our prior platforms, either.

Website maintenance. Consolidating payments, donations, events into one place.

Pros

We have been using Flipcause to manage our website, donations, payments, and events. The program and service has been a huge help and customer service is a great time saver on those busy days when you need something posted/done and don't have the time to get it done.

Cons

The reports could be a bit more streamlined and easier to arrange. I need basic info like name, contact info, their registration type, or donation amount, etc. I would also like to see how many registrations a person has instead of seeing their name 10 times in a list. Its very time consuming to condense the lists to use at check-in/to track donations/registrations.

### "Great for Entry Level or Advanced Fundraising"

Great overall experience. Have raised over $2M since incept with the software. Support department is good to respond to any problems.

Pros

It's fast and easy to create impactful campaigns and launch them online. You have creative control over the output. They are not "cookie-cutter" pages.

Cons

There is nothing I don't like about the software. I don't like having to use the payment processor Flipcause chose, but it is a condition of the software use. Rates are too high and transfers are taking too long.

Our overall experience has been consistently great over the seven years we’ve used Flipcause. They offer practical self-guided tutorials and person to person customer service!

Pros

This is a service that all nonprofit organizations need. Flipcause makes it possible for small nonprofit organizations! We couldn’t run campaigns, our merchant account, and database without them.

Cons

Flipcause raised their fees last year. We had to adjust to the increased cost but it is still worth the value we receive.

We're grateful to have received Flipcause as part of a grant program they offer. We look forward to further integrating it into our organizational procedures and protocols.

Pros

The Website Portal is extremely user friendly and makes building and updating our website very easy. It's helped us increase our practice of accessibility by making it easy to include image descriptions and alt text. We are always asking folks to fill out forms and I find this feature on the Website Portal to be more secure than Google Forms as it provides us with more backend information. Also, the data and activity from our campaigns are consolidated and put on a transaction heat map on the Dashboard; it's fun to see it update as our network participates with our campaigns, donations, etc. and gives us information on the regions we can better prioritize.

Cons

Creating campaigns had a high learning curve for me but once I learned how to navigate it, it became easier and easier. At first, it took me a few hours to make a campaign landing page and now it takes 20-30 minutes as I can also duplicate and edit past campaigns.

### "Great Product for Small - Mid Nonprofits"

Flipcause CRM, from our experiences, is not as powerful as a Salesforce or any of the other big-name CRM companies, but if you are looking for just a basic donor database that tracks donations and information such as contact information and notes in their accounts, then I would recommend Flipcause. If you are planning to use Flipcause for all that it has to offer and a big part of that decision is the CRM, just be prepared to deal with those small nuances. It's been a great product for us overall.

Pros

Flipcause is a clean and very manageable donation and event management software. From day 1, we were able to easily create events and fundraising opportunities, track donations, and embed information on our website. Flipcause makes it extremely easy to customize event and fundraising webpages and tools, which always allowed our donors to know exactly what they were doing.

Cons

The tools to build campaigns could be more customizable. As for a donor database, we were a part of their Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools beta launch and had access to their fully active tool. It is a very helpful tool with good information and search functions. It is especially handy if you import and manually input your donor information before you begin to use Flipcause as a donation host. Our issue was that we had been using them for a couple of years prior to the launch, so when we imported all of our donor information, it didn't merge perfectly with the current records they had - instead it created new accounts. You can manually merge multiple accounts at the same time, but that takes manpower. The other issue we had is that if a donor makes a one-time donation through a Flipcause campaign, it must match the information you have for that donor exactly, or else it'll create another customer account. So this creates regular maintenance if you are using Flipcause as both a CRM and a donation host.

Feedback from Beta testers like you has been hugely helpful in improving. Any CRM requires a regular and manual data cleaning habit to keep it accurate, and I can imagine how tedious it was to have to do this after importing a large dataset in one go - I'll see if this is something we can improve in the future. You're right--our Contact Database will never compare to Salesforce! Our focus remains on saving nonprofits time and money with customizable campaigns and unlimited human support. We look forward to offering integration options in the future for organizations that need to utilize more robust CRM's.

I do not like that every time I email the same question, I get the same screen shots. I have not had a one on one conversation. Also, when I finally asked the same question, I was told it wasn't possible to end it on a specific date AND time for each campaign. I do not understand why that is not customizable.

Pros

The fact that we can send donors to a specific campaign and that they pay for the processing free. We use Linktr.ee to create multiple campaign links for our Instagram Bio

Cons

It is very clunky, non-intuitive when setting up a campaign. There are so many random parts to upload pictures. We have to keep trying to preview when cloning a campaign to make sure we get to the many different sections to upload. It would be helpful if each section had a hint on the preview page.

Reason for choosing Flipcause

FC allows for donors to pay for the fees so these fees are what covers our annual subscription. We are a skeletal crew so we need every dollar to go back in to our rescue.

### "Flipcause can be a huge help for your organization!"

The benefits of Flipcause have been extensive for my non-profit. Like I said before, the credit card processing is huge, the ability for Flipcause to build a page or build my website for me is beyond beneficial to have this software, to be able to call and talk with a human instead of just doing it by email or text is massive and the kindness of the staff have been such a bonus for using this software! I am totally satisfied!!!

Pros

I love Flipcause because you can help build a new website or a new page if that is what is needed... the customer service has always been phenominal and I recommend this software to anyone who needs it. I love the fact that I can call and say I want to learn how to do this and they help with this too. I also love the fact that you do your own credit card processing because that is one less thing I have to handle. Flipcause handles this for me and I highly recommend Flipcause for your website and credit card processing needs.

Cons

I would love to have more in depth reporting features for Flipcause. I can work with what they have but would appreciate it more if I had the ability for more ease in reporting capabilities Other than that, I cannot think of anything else that I would love to have changed.

Again, the credit card processing piece and also the ability of Flipcause to build a website for me and also, helping me build a page or Flipcause can do this as well.

### "Great product for donor management"

Flipcause makes it easy for our donors to send donations. Memorial donations have increased dramatically as have tribute donations. The Flipcause Team is responsive to inquiries offering helpful suggestions. The Flipcause website provides helpful tutorials making it easy to navigate the many products they offer.

Pros

Flipcause is tied to our Website and to our Facebook page. Donations are easy for our donors to process. Prior to Flipcause donations were made primarily by check or via PayPal. With Flipcause funds are available sooner and donors receive an immediate thank you via email. Flipcause will create end of year reports for individual donors so we can meet state and federal requirements for sending acknowledgement letters to our donors

Cons

Rarely, our donors experience a glitch where their payment is processed twice. When this happens either Flipcause catches it immediately and rectifies the overcharge or we notify them and the error is corrected.

We have enjoyed Flipcause with it's ease of use for us and our donors. It helps us streamline all our needs into one platform.

Pros

All information is in one spot instead of investing and piecing together different platforms to create the same things Flipcause offers. They quickly and easily help with creating campaigns we need.

Cons

I, personally, am not incredibly tech savvy. While I do fine, it takes a bit to remember how to do things. But they do offer a "Help" button that has plenty of information to guide me.

Reason for choosing Flipcause

Cost was lower than others we looked at.

Cons
