Pros: This is an excellent program for project management, my experience using this was more for reporting bugs found during system testing rather than for managagin a project, but even so it was incredibly easy to adapt it to our need. The flexibility and customerisation of this program really are second to none for such a great low price!

Cons: The only downside I found with this program was how to set it up to meet my business' requirements. Sometimes it was rather complex, however I'm not sure if that was because we used it as a bug tracking platform rather than a project management system.

Comments: I don't love the team collaboration aspect that has been baked into the platform, and the project accounting portion feels a bit light. Overall, a good option if you need more PM than anything.

Pros: I really like that you can include P&Ls in your project planning, and the planning portion of the platform itself is relatively straightforward and offers all of the required items a PM and team would expect.

Cons: It feels like the platform is simply trying to do "too much", meaning it falls down on a few different fronts. While it could be an exceptional PM software, it also tries to be an accounting and BI platform. This results in nothing being a perfect fit for your needs.

Pros: Have used Mavenlink for a while now. The product is very very feature rich, almost anything from scheduling, project management, tracking, reporting and billing, everything works. The flexibility in terms of user access management is also great, can use with consultants and customers as well.

Cons: The product is expensive, also the focus on plug and play the product is rigid in terms of adopting to custom requirements. Would prefer intuit if the requirement is very custom

Pros: Our team used it to track complicated software projects which had many different contractors. It seamlessly integrated into Quickbooks which made invoicing and billing easy. I liked the different permission levels we could offer to our various users (clients, consultants, devs, etc).

Cons: There are a lot of different features which means there is a learning curve. The layout is intuitive but it will take some time to become comfortable.

Overall: It simplified our workflow and allowed us to keep projects moving forward.

Comments: Mavenlink is a solid PM service. The Premier tier of service offers a useful set of features, including reporting tools, financial integrations, and so forth. Still, for small businesses.

Pros: The best way to get project teams off email and into a space where real work can get done more efficiently is to use an online project management

Cons: Expensive monthly cost. They started out good for the price. Now their customer service is subpar, their product needs to be evolved more, and they are charging more.

Pros: Mavenlink's Master Planning feature is unique in the marketplace. I've tried several different project management platforms in my career, and none deal with resource management quite as efficiently as Mavenlink does.

Cons: While Mavenlink is an easy tool to use, to have it properly set up one has to take time to consider tapping into Mavenlink's core features such as the Master Planning tool and Insights. It does take some time, training and group bandwidth to set this up properly.

Pros: The ability to map out projects through the Gaant chart feature, able to add users' skills and have high visibility in terms of workload and current projects running. Overall great not only for time tracking, but also project resourcing, creating timelines and client communication.

Cons: When distributing project hours evenly across a time period, it does not take into account a user's work capacity and therefore can over schedule a user.

Pros: Collaboration between your team is the focus for Mavenlink and they have done an extraordinary job at allowing for quick open communication, The software is great for your PMs to keep track of each project and ensure their team is prepared to ensure customer satisfaction. This great system has not let us down at all. Hands down, best overall solution we have found.

Cons: What's not to love? It was even easy for our team to pick up on the use from day one. Potentially it could be adapted for subcontractors to participate in the sales phase, but that is a niche concern for users within construction companies.

Comments: Good project management solution, however it is limited in some of its features.

Pros: One of the nice features of Mavenlink is the ability to track time entries from a Chrome browser plugin without needing to go to the full Mavenlink site. The mobile site is fairly intuitive and operates flawlessly.

Cons: Mavenlink is a bit limited in terms of the number of tiered child tasks that can be created. It would be useful if there was a larger hierarchy that could be created, and not limited to 2 tiers.

Pros: It seems to do everything one would need and it is very easy to use. very intuitive. it syncs to quickbooks, supposedly, though i was not able to get it set up. the dashboard is nice

Cons: There are a few things I needed to work out and other minor questions. I could not get anyone on the phone to walk me through some simple steps. It takes hours of sorting through you tube videos to possibly see if i can accomplish what I need, or coresponding with someone via chat which was painfully inefficient.

It is also fairly pricey for a small 3 user office

Pros: Templates are stored and easily accessible to use for future projects. The communication tool is very useful to look back on. Mavenlink is a very helpful project managing tracking tool.

Cons: The design of the app is very minimal. It could be spruced up and sleeker visually. Assigning the tasks do take time and would be helpful if you see the same assignee by reassigned each time.

Overall: Great tool to use to keep projects on task. Notifications pop up once a task is complete and that prompts the assignments to keep moving on.

Pros: Mavenlink's flow charts with the ability to personalized are great. The software is very user friendly, and very well designed.

Pros: The notification functionality is good. Would be a good solution for agencies tracking billable time to clients.

Cons: Very expensive for the way our team is able to use the software. There's not a great view for an administrator - the navigation is not great and as an admin, I can't easily see all projects and status from a total company perspective. It's really set up for agencies and clients tracking time to expense to them. We use it in a similar manner but we have to do workarounds to make it work.

Pros: We worked with too many project management tools in our organization, but Mavenlink is different than others. I can say it is the kind of application you can do anything in one place. We are completely relied on the time tracking of Mavenlink after we moved from Timecamp. The both of them is quite reasonable and helpful application, but with Mavenlink you can do more things than Timecamp.

Cons: More responsive reporting features is needed. And if you want to use it as a main project management tool it would be less convenient for you. But time tracking is perfect.

Mavenlink is a unique experience that helps improve any project you have in mind.

Also, the communication activity feed is nice to communicate with clients

Pros: Absolute perfect customer support. We have put resource planning somewhere easily accessible for the whole company. Even before Mavenlink, we had Microsoft Project for this, and it was not as easy-to-use as Mavenlink. The support we've gotten from the Mavenlink team is awesome. Whether it's getting questions answered, prioritising potential feature enhancements, or giving feedback on the product road map . I always know that our voice will be heard and considered.

Cons: Everything is fine, it is just we use custom fields on almost all tasks we create, so when created templates with these task lists because we re-use a lot of the same tasks. Unfortunately, templates do not save custom fields so we've had to add these each time we apply a template. It could be improved.

Overall: Our organisation has been able to streamline a group of integrated teams into a well structured project management tool. It's helped to track our progress in many ongoing projects. It made the team fulfil tasks faster.

We use Mavenlink as the basis for almost everything. Without it, we'd be lost.

Pros: I like the Analytics and Insights tab for high visibility into utilization, resources, and high level budget tracking. The UI design is very easy to use and makes tracking time easy. This tool saves me a lot of time and it is a great way to share the tasks I am working on with the team.

Cons: It isn't as bidirectional as other platforms are. The invoicing tool is not robust enough and the user permissions levels could use improvement. It is a little hard to manage timeline with resources, but not because it doesnt offer it, but because projects always change and its hard to find the time to modify the changes needed that constantly happen. We find it easier to just manually adjust as things change.

Overall: Overall, extremely effective in keeping our projects moving and keeping team members in the loop - may take a bit to get adjusted to the interface when coming from other PM software but that's expected when switching from any

Pros: I love the ease of time and exp reporting. Having an entire project in one spot that is not an email inbox is fabulous. RPF, proposal, agreement, work plan, deliverables and collaboration with staff is all on one project feed in the cloud accessed anytime from anywhere. Ditched the vpn too!!

Cons: Complex. Too flexible, can accomplish many tasks too many different ways. Steep learning curve for power users.

Overall: Tons of access and reporting that we did not have with our prior in house legacy system. Ease of use, cloud based, the list goes on and on!!

Compared to other Project Management solutions, Mavenlink has solved the 2 biggest problems I had.

Pros: With Mavenlink, I'm able to see time entries and budgets in real time. The Mavenlink support and integrations teams have also been a huge help in customizing their product to suit our needs.

Cons: My biggest con is that checklist items do not have to be checked off before a task can be marked complete.

Overall: Being able to see budgets and time entries in real time are my biggest benefits with this software. Before Mavenlink, I was having to do the math to figure out how much of a budget had been used, etc. as well as how time was entered.

Pros: I dont think I can think of one thing in Mavenlink that another tool did better. It is simply inferior in so many ways, even to free project management tools.

Cons: It is extremely slow! Every click results in a loading.gif. In comparison to Asana which is INSTANT no matter what you click. I cant find my projects where I need them, I cant find my tasks where I need them, I cant get to important information without clicking 10 things and sifting through scrollable windows and sliding boxes. They are HIDING content behind and Show More; links. They are using PAGINATION on lists of projects... omg. No. Show everything, list everything, please stop making us bob for apples every time we need to find something. Oh yeah, and the proofing system doesnt even notify you or the task about a conversation happening within it. Changes to your proof? No clue. You cant mention someone in each area, only in the activity feed.

Pros: I can get extremely granular on a project or task if I want, but I don't have to. It integrates with Quickbooks extremely well. It allows my account manager and COO to dive as deeply as they want into my projects. Assigning and setting up new projects and tasks is a breeze.
It's designed for people who think like me, it provides excellent time tracking integration with quickbooks, and deals with a high volume of projects very smoothly.

Cons: So far, no way of creating a recurring scheduled task in a project. The UI is very text-heavy, it can be a bit much when trying to find something quickly if I don't know where to look already and the potential for granular tracking seems overwhelming until users get comfortable with it.

Overall: Tracking, recording, and predicting a high volume of consulting projects across many clients and several consultants.

Pros: The UI is simple to use most of the time. It's easy to see your projects listed out, even though the organization tools are pretty weak.

Cons: The software is slow. Updates happen at a snails pace. Our team worked directly with the development team at Mavenlink and their process is just plain slow. The program is bogged down and sluggish. It lacks sub-tasks beyond 5 layers, the estimating feature is a joke and they only just recently implemented a basic WYSIWYG in the activity section. You also can't undo activity unless you go back to the feed. Talk to PMs who actually use this product!

Overall: The ability to see my project list at a glance, although this product is plagued with poor support and ultra slow development.

Pros: I can add a project, estimates and budget and track overall progress. It has given us a more robust look at what is happening across all projects.

Cons: Too many features feel incomplete. The invoicing, estimates and user permissions are convoluted and lacking enough that our company cannot use them. Resource Management requires duplicate entry of information between planned and scheduled time. It should be easier to link the two together and plan around exceptions.

Overall: Benefits include matching estimates and budgets to tasks and breaking apart milestones with tasks and sub-tasks. Activity communication is pretty good.

Pros: I like that I can create templates for projects and groupings of tasks. I also like that I can export just about any information I need to an Excel spreadsheet/CSV file.

Pros: - This is a great collaborative / project management tool that has kept all members of all teams aligned on project status - Love the hierarchy system, and the ability to be notified when my task is ready to be handled that is contingent on the completion of a task by another team member

Cons: - Takes a bit of time to get used to the interface, but once you understand the process it becomes extremely efficient - There are many places to put information, just have to be on the same page with team members where this information will go (description vs. activity)

Comments: Mavenlink would be an outstanding solution for anyone in need of organizational assistance. It's flexible enough to meet unique requirements, yet robust in ways that allow for in-depth project management.

Pros: ¿ Campaign-based invitations allowing only relevant team members access to specific projects ¿ Details, Checklists, Notes, Proofs, etc. for each individual task ¿ Post (and pin) overviews, descriptions, files, and comments to the Activity Feed to keep all team members informed ¿ Task-related Time-tracking, Budgeting, and Resource Planning for all types of team members ¿ Proofs section for collaborative reviews

Cons: ¿ Beginners may be overwhelmed with so many options and use-cases. However, the organization of tools and the vast availability of features and documentation help the user establish their own workflow that fits their unique individual needs.

Comments: This is far more than a project management app. This is a complete enterprise management platform.

Pros: Mavenlink provides an off the shelf cloud based business operations system that complements our business model well. We took advantage of the MavenOPs onboarding support feature as well and have been very well supported as we transition our current systems and projects into Mavenlink. Its ease of use, comprehensive support and economic price point delivers a comprehensive enterprise planning and reporting suite at a fraction of the costs of larger (more cumbersome) systems. The level of support from the Mavenlink team is really impressive.

Cons: I would like to be able to white label email notifications and organic Xero integration but when weighed up with the pros these fade into irrelevance. And that is saying something for us as we rely so much on integration.

Pros: Since I was hired a little more than a year ago, Mavenlink has been an integral part of how my team and I work on projects. Mavenlink's built-in modules have made it easy for team members to leave feedback on project deliverables. The platform also provides an archive of project deliverables, making it easy for team members to upload and download any given aspect of a job, from images to text documents. Mavenlink's task tracker also helps team members prioritize and stay on schedule. I would highly recommend Mavenlink for any digital marketing group.

Cons: Trying to find something I dislike about Mavenlink is actually sort of a challenge. Email notifications can get to be a little much, but those can be adjusted in users' profile settings.

Pros: Our team loves the amount of perspectives Mavenlink affords us when we need to gauge our incoming work and available resource capacities. The easy to operate Task Lists give our Creatives clear information when it comes time every morning to quickly get to work and know what is important and what can wait. The drag-and-drop gantt charts make scheduling and adjusting projects quick work for our Production team.

Cons: Given how powerful the suite is, it might come across at first to the unseasoned Creative as slightly overwhelming. Though, this feeling is quickly surpassed by empowerment once they understand how intuitive the UI/UX is.

Comments: It goes deeper than some of the competitors but is not very user-friendly when creating projects. Not very intuitive at all. Inability to create "placeholder" tasks within a project and run scenarios. Time tracking is extensive but very confusing. Onboarding fee very high compared to competitors and is very cookie cutter.

Pros: Very deep and detailed project planning. Excellent analytics capabilities. Multiple view options. Solid Mobile implementation.

Cons: Display and printing options very limited. No dedicated Mobile App. Setup and support are pricey for the level and detail of training they deliver. Very difficult to create planning scenario projects. If you want to "spec" out a project plan and not include actual team members receiving e-mails, etc. you can't do that in any meaningful way. Certain actions are "forced" so you can't override certain functions in order to create "what if" scenarios. Additional licenses are required even for creating users who will barely interact with the system. It gets expensive quickly.

Comments: The only things I would need Mavenlink to add is as follows: -Have some sort of instant messaging service between members on a project. -Allow us to private more than one person when sending messages using m.mavenlink.com. -Have a real app that we can download from PlayStore/ Windows App Store or any other app store so we can use the full functionality of Mavenlink through the app -Also in the future, we could have some sort of video conferencing ability for persons on a project to have virtual meetings. That would be a dream!

Pros: It allows my colleagues in different countries to be kept up to date on different aspects of the various projects.

Cons: No instant messaging. App needs to available on Windows store/Playstore/other popular app stores so we can use Mavenlink on our smartphones.

Pros: Easy utilization and billing management. A nice user interface. GREAT custom reporting with the insights module!

Cons: I wish there was a way to align all scheduled resources when a handful of dates change. Doing this manually is time consuming. There are a few additional requests I have. I wish it was less expensive, but it is worth the price.

Comments: I have been using Mavenlink as the primary account administrator for two different companies over the course of four years. The suite has proven to be an integral tool in my everyday professional life within the Marketing industry. It allows my teams to see only what they need to primarily be involved with for any particular day and clears away other clutter they may not be associated with. However, most importantly, it allows many different views when it comes to upcoming work capacity and profitability. This is the feature we were primarily after when signing up for Mavenlink. The instant-update gantt charts allow us to see both all of our current projects and each individual project. This, in addition to the robust resource management tools that are constantly being improved, as enabled our Production team to kick project input and scheduling into overdrive! Our Copy and Design teams love the real-time proofing module as well. The comparison tools are really slick.

Pros: Depth of data analysis and business intelligence, gantt charts, deep task detail options, resource scheduling tools, built-in expense and budget tracking

Cons: There is an intermediate learning curve and may come across as immediately complex to the uninitiated creative. However, 10-15 minutes of poking around and taking advantage of the learning tools and startup tutorials offered by Mavenlink's stellar customer service program will address this minor concern. Mavenlink is a fantastically powerful information source, and with that power comes some proper approach and learning. It's all intuitive, though!

So, yeah, you could call me an evangelist

Pros: Flexible, provides the ability to set up multiple templates for different types of projects, supports T&M and Fixed Fee contract types, integrates to SalesForce, provides multiple views toward project status, continually adding new features and capabilities

Cons: Gantt charts are still in need of a lot of work and help. Still buggy, no user-defined view preferences can be saved.

Overall: We implemented Mavenlink specifically to disabuse our organization of several disparate systems we were using for tracking time, task-level project management, and reporting on specific measurements/metrics like utilization, margin and capacity saturation so that we could improve operational efficiencies. We've found that the tool is very flexible, has some great native reporting capabilities that become exceptional when coupled with the Business Insights add-on, it integrates well to SalesForce, it has given us a much better ability to manage projects for clients as well as internal product development projects, and it provides us with much better capabilities toward planning organizational growth and managing to margin at the business unit level down to the project level. While there are still some glitches/issues with the Gantt views, and there are still things we wish it did better, Mavenlink has proven itself to be an exceptionally valuable (and very cost-effective) management tool; the company is consistently providing updates that are meaningful and adding value with subsequent releases that clearly indicate a willingness to listen to the voice of the customer in new feature requests. Overall, I'm personally very impressed with the software, given my team's requirements and unique operational environment.

Recommendations to other buyers: If you're not a particularly mature organization in terms of Project Management and governance, I highly recommend sitting down with Mavenlink's consultants and getting help with establishment of best practices and setting up your instance on the basis of those best practices and resulting workflow. Don't thwart your own efforts by simply applying the same flawed processes into a new tool.

Pros: Beautiful interface. Business Insights is a fabulous tool for slicing and dicing almost real time data.

Cons: I wish that when a resource was not available, the system would not allow you to assign tasks to them.

Overall: We switched over from Open Air. The interface is much nicer and the software runs much faster. I highly recommend it for project-based companies who need to keep a clear eye on Utilization and billing

Pros: It is effective and has a great user interface. The ability to customize the interface with company specifics is very good. Invoices look very professional as well, and are easy to send, save as a .pdf, and attach. I had a billing problem due to a rather complicated ramp up of my licenses, and they were very good to fix it and refund the overage, without any problems.

Cons: The permission levels seem a bit off, and adding people to projects does not always work like it should. There is a work around. I also have not yet been able to integrate it with quickbooks, however I have not yet spent the time with tech help to get that going.

Comments: We've been using MavenLink for over a year now and we are constantly learning new and better ways to utilise all the tools it has to offer. We use it as our core method of communication with our clients, it helps to have all the information in one place. The Time tracking tool is easy to use and we are hoping to take full advantage of the Resource Allocation and Gantt chart in the near future

Pros: - So many options and ways to customise each feature - Time tracking tool is very easy to use, our team prefers it over what we have had in the past - Custom reporting, especially weekly project reports, have upped our client communication game. Our Clients appreciate the extra level of transparency and it has helped us prevent a lot of surprises when the invoice is sent out. - Resource Allocation and Gantt chart really help when it comes to Project Planning.

Cons: - It's really difficult to see WHO is responsible for a task if multiple people are assigned to it. This is a problem when you are looking at a project and want to see who is responsible for what from 30,000 feet. Instead, you need to go to that specific task and read through the comments to see where it stands. There are a few workarounds for it, but then all involved extra work and monitoring to make sure everyone using the system is doing so correctly. - There doesn't seem to be a way to edit a comment once you post it - You can't customise the status options for the different tasks, so something is either in progress, not started, needs information, or completed. It doesn't really let you customise it to follow your workflows.

Recommendations to other buyers: Take your time when setting up your account and do some planning in terms of how you want to use the platform. There are so many different options and ways to customise it that you might get overwhelmed. Also, do a lot of training with your team as well as offer how-to content to your customers using it. That way everyone is using it the same way and you do not need to go back and double check so that you can run certain reports.

Pros: simple to you use, assigning tasks, creating templates, mobile friendly, integration with google apps.

Cons: not much we can think of.

Overall: We've been utilizing mavenlink for over 4 years and I have nothing but great things to say it. They've come a long way from 4 years ago and there's been many updates and improvements that pretty much covers everything you would need in order to manage any projects with team members across the globe or locally. It's a very robust solution that makes things easier to communicate with team members, assign tasks, dead lines, create templates for projects and even involve your client to review the progress and comment. It also intergerates with Google Apps which is great and you can easily sync your tasks on to your google calendar and attach email communications.

any firm that focuses on team projects should give mavenlink a try.

Recommendations to other buyers: take some time and learn all the features because it pretty much covers everything you would need to manage large or small projects with two or hundred team members.

Comments: Pros
- First and foremost, MavenLink has an amazing support team. They are extremely helpful and responsive.
- MavenLink is clean and modern in terms of the look and feel, plus we are able to customize it for our brand.
- Weekly reporting: Thanks to MavenLink, we were finally able to start sending weekly reports to to our customers so they would know how many hours were allocated to their Project the prior week and what tasks were completed. This is drastically helped our client communication.
- Easy to use: This product is relatively easy to use and get project, clients, employees up and running. Employees love how easy it is to log their time and keep track of various tasks. There is a bit of a learning curve to get people used to responding to and keeping track of tasks since it is set up more like a Social Media Feed than other systems.
- Clients love that they can respond to various tasks directly from their email, it helps keep everything in one place. The ability to start threads regarding specific tasks, upload/share google docs, post messages that also go to email, etc. has been extremely helpful when it comes to managing our projects.
- The team at MavenLink is constantly working on improving the product and educating their customers on best practices and different ways to use the platform.

Cons
- The 'activity feed' can be a bit confusing and cause some issues in terms of using the product. I have found that other options are more intuitive, while MavenLink requires some training and constant review to ensure everyone is using it correctly.
- I really dislike the fact that you cannot determine who is responsible for what task, ie if multiple people are assigned to a task, you cannot see whose hands it is in. There are a few work arounds for this issues (subtasks, only having one person assigned to the Task while the rest are followers) but they require more effort and are often over looked.

Comments: Great product, easy workflow, and integrations with other apps that I use. Their time tracking integration is invaluable to me as I can track the amount of time spent on my tasks and projects and then budget my clients accordingly.

Pros: Their support team is also super helpful. I find this useful as I don't need to train my team members how to use the tool - new hires just got to reach out to their support team.

Cons: Need more integrations with other apps. Probably a Zapier integration would help.

Comments: Mavenlink is on its way. Using it feels like they began with good questions about how a robust project management tool SHOULD look and work, and began developing from there. The interface is clean and open and the tools you have access to are head and shoulders above "free" offerings like Asana and Trello.

Pros: Nested task view is awesome, dependencies and Gantt charts are great and the multitude of ways you can parse the data is peerless.

Cons: Their "app" is a web app, with no offline mode. Really disappointed about this one, since we're moving from Asana, who's app is WONDERFUL.

Recommendations to other buyers: If you need task dependencies, project start dates, or any sort of budgeting incorporated into your task management, look no further. Otherwise, you may want to dig into the details to see if Mavenlink is right for you.

Comments: We use haven link since more than a year now and we can share that a number of insights we gain out of it are highlighting our defects very precisely. We were able to focus on our mistakes and glue solutions where needed. It is versatile too, so you can adapt it to pretty much any situation.

Pros: Features for planning and financial

Cons: A bit heavy to put your hands on at first, but once done you get happier

Recommendations to other buyers: Take the time to really run a project from a to z before making a judgment. Sometimes, heavy projects require robust tools that you can't just run with a spreadsheet.

Pros: Tons of great data.

Cons: Not very customizable. Takes a lot of work just to manage projects.

Overall: Mavenlink is crazy complex. It does A LOT. Which is great... if you need that much data. If you're looking for something a little more intuitive that doesn't require as much work to actually use, there are better options. Managing Mavenlink is a job unto itself.

Comments: I use this tool as an Engineer, to manage small-large scale technical projects. I find the tasking very helpful, but the navigation and interface is not extremely straightforward. I think there is a lot of functionality that I'm not aware of.

Pros: Ability to categorize and organize tasks; assign estimated hours and budget to each tasks, and view the project status and burn rate throughout the cycle of the project.

Cons: The interface is a bit difficult to navigate- lots of clicks to get to the right place. Unable to log time to a deliverable, and lack of options regarding different task statuses. This might be customizable and I just don't have access to do so. The organization of the different permissions is confusing as well.

Recommendations to other buyers: A great deal of assistance was required to build Mavenlink to meet our requirements, and we were very limited on the ability to integrate with our Salesforce system.

Comments: Mavanlink is good for managing projects WHEN it works. Initially when I purchased the software I was expecting a smooth sync between Quickbooks and Mavenlink- not the case. I ended up having to convert from Enterprise on my desktop to QB online in order for the sync to happen. That was not an additional task that I signed up for when I purchased the software. Even with the QB online, many times I am unable to create a project from a QB estimate which was the entire reason I purchased the software

Pros: Great for managing projects

Cons: Doesn't always sync with quickbooks. Customer service sucks unless you pay for it. Does not have a to-do area, only projects

Recommendations to other buyers: Asana is a free project management software that I wish I would have stayed with

Pros: Ease of use and communication. The ability to start threads regarding specific tasks, upload/share google docs, post messages that also go to email, etc. has been critical to successfully completing projects.

Cons: The only dislike I have is that I cannot push a change across multiple projects at one time. We use templates for almost every project we launch. Sometimes those templates get updated and those changes need to be applied to current projects.

Overall: We use Mavenlink to project management all new school openings and are now starting to use it for all of our large national events. Mavenlink has definitely helped us open more schools worldwide efficiently and effectively.

Before Mavenlink, communication and documentation were major issues around our projects. With Mavenlink, we are able to document our calls and follow ups within the system itself. Tasks linked to communications are also very helpful. The features I like best are ease of use, Dashboard view of all projects, Templates, sync to Google Apps, and Gannt.

Comments: Mavenlink had everything our Business Unit was looking for in a Project Management Software.

Pros: It's web based, so many of our Inspectors use it update their records in the field. Great budgeting and forecasting tools. Also has task scheduling, timesheets, charting, and critical path.

Cons: Implementation costs were somewhat high. No Microsoft Project integration.

Pros: Clean look and feel.

Cons: It's not as user-friendly as I would like. I wish it was easier to be reminded about tasks. I'm new to the software so there is still a lot that I have left to learn.

Overall: I've been using Mavenlink for about a month now and I'm really liking the tool. I manage a team of 8 x Account Executives for a Marketing Firm that deals with multiple people billing work on the same customers. As a manager, I've liked the reporting aspect. I suggest adding a feature voting tool so that people can vote on features they need added the most. I have a lot of suggestions. =)

Recommendations to other buyers: I do not like how a new window is constantly opening up. I ended up beginning to use the Timesheet feature to add time and that has been great. I wish it was easier to set reminders regarding open tasks. If I have a task that has started time and then add a sub-task it removes the time from the dashboard view even though it can be seen under timesheets, which seems confusing. I wish it was easier to see if I've already added time to a task and how much time. Maybe it's something I just need to understand better. I wish I understand how groups worked better. I would love a Starting Kit that I can give my new employees which shows them how to learn Mavenlink as a beginner. The Knowledge Base is good when trying to find something specific but not when you are just starting and don't know what you don't know. =)
