It is cost effective and seems to meet all my needs. Pros I am new to MailerLite, so learning on the fly. It is fun putting together my first email campaign. When I had a loggin problem they were on it and were very helpful getting me going again. Cons The only issue I had was the 2FA (2 factor authentication). I agree that some security is needed, but I would prefer options so that I can choose the best one for my needs. Pros MailerLite is the easiest and most intuitive email marketing platform available. Their design and functionality is so intuitive - they have everything I need and it just makes sense. Additionally, it provides the best value of any of them out there - especially for a small business owner. Their customer service is super responsive and \*actually\* helpful. When something doesn't work, or there is a feature you are looking for, they address those issues. They integrate with all my other platforms. And now they have the capability to sell digital products! I just can't say enough good things about them. Cons Sometimes new features are a little clunky while they get the bugs worked out. Refund my money. Pros What I liked most was the design of their emails, along with a user-friendly and easy-to-use system. Cons I signed up for the service, carried out only 2 campaign sends, and before even completing a week, my account was closed. I was unable to use the plan, yet they kept 100% of the payment (USD 70). No real use of the service. No refund. No sense of proportionality. They justified the decision based on an alleged violation of their anti-spam policy. My database was built carefully and had already been used previously without issues, including contacts with explicit consent and others with implied consent (no objection to prior communications). I also explained that the bounce rate was due to high staff turnover in the sector I work in, not due to any improper practices. None of this was taken into account. They closed the account unilaterally and retained the remaining funds. For anyone considering this platform: you may pay, barely use the service, and still lose all your money with no possibility of a refund. This is not rigor — it is an abusive, arbitrary, and dishonest practice toward customers. I do not recommend it. Review Source Chris L. " February 22, 2026 5.0 I was nervous to try it at first, because I have over 38k subs across several substacks; With that many subscribers, it would cost a mint to put them into an automated email sequence, and segment by group. Mailerlite becaome my choice because of how simple it was to set up automations, how it was designed to scale with my paying subscriber list, and how easy it was to implement. It made me wonder why I waited. Pros I was searching for a simple ESP with easy to use automation that was affordable. and Mailerlite fit the bill. A lot of ESP's have overcomplicated their software when all you need is a simple tool that sends emails on a prescribed schedule. I have it linked to my store, for sales, linked to a landing page to capture emails, and the auto sequence works great. Cons Mailerlite has options for upgrade, and the 500 subscriber limit free plan feels limiting. I wish they would use industry conversion rates out of 1000 subs for the free plan. This gives you an opportunity to do more testing features in list segmentation. But even when you upgrade, there are affordable options that let you scale. Switching to MailerLite was really easy, and it suits my infrequent needs. Pros I really like MailerLite's templates, which make it easy to keep consistent branding across every newsletter and campaign I send. It has a pretty comprehensive free plan, though I quickly outgrew that, which tells me my efforts are working. Cons Because I'm an infrequent emailer, I'd love an option to pay for each newsletter campaign sent instead of a flat monthly fee per subscriber. I pay the same rate as someone emailing their list daily or weekly, but only keep in touch maybe once per quarter unless I'm launching something. The free package was quite generous and gave a good feel for the product Cons Non-existent customer support and total lack of communication with customers. Without any warnings indicating that something I had done was breaching their terms (still don't know what to this date as they wouldn't respond to my emails and tell me) my account was suspended and terminated. I plan to stick with Mailerlite. Pros Mailerlite has an easy to use interface, drag and drop newsletter building and their customer support is beyond great. The popup builders are versatile and simple to set up. And the templates are broadly varied enough to suit pretty much any marketing campaigns you'd need for any business. Their prices are reasonable. I've been with them for several years now and have zero complaints. Cons Switching to the new platform seems super complicated. I haven't done it and probably won't since I'm happy with the original platform. Outstanding customer support, great documentation for the most part, lots of integrations, easy-to-use tools and systems... I am SO happy someone recommended MailerLite to me. I can't imagine ever working with another Email Service Provider. Special shout-out to Lilian, the agent I worked with today, for her attention to detail and awesome support! Pros I love how seamless this software is. It is SO rare that I have to go outside MailerLite for anything. Seriously, from the Tenor GIF gallery for adding GIFs to emails, to their landing page/website design tools, to their new eCommerce tools, I find this to be well worth the money I pay. And even before I was paying for it, the free version was AWESOME. It's just so dang easy to segment my audience, email my campaigns, set up automations, and add my branding to all of it. Far, far superior to the experience I had with MailChimp. Cons My one complaint is there's a little lack of clarity about domains. I set up a custom domain with the intention of using the main www.\[myurl\].com for my website, and www.\[myurl\].com/free-quiz, etc., for my landing pages. I had set up 18 landing pages for different campaigns and offers when I tried to publish my website today. And that's when I learned you can't use 1 domain for both landing pages and websites. Cue panic - I need this website live by Monday and it's 4pm on Friday! That said, the customer support I got for this was AWESOME. She did stuff on the back-end to save me time, and walked me through, click-by-click, how to set up what I wanted. But now ALL of my landing pages have a new domain, and I have to get in touch with quite a few colleagues to have them update their links for me. I'm a bit embarrassed about that, honestly. It’s clean, intuitive, and makes email marketing easy. Especially because we juggle multiple offers, launches, funnels and membership tiers. We currently use it alongside Make, and it runs seamlessly in the background to power our entire membership flow. From onboarding emails to tiered automations and Stripe-triggered sequences, it keeps our ecosystem organized without the clunkiness or overwhelm of some larger tools. One thing we love: it doesn’t get in the way. You can build beautiful campaigns, segment your list, and run automations without needing a full tech team. It plays well with Stripe, our forms, and our client journey mapping. Pros The landing pages are easy to create, and they offer a ton of templates, so you don't have to create something from nothing. When you integrate MailerLite with other programs it is easy to do. We use it with Make automations and we get notified immediately if there is an issue, and in a couple of clicks we are back to making money. Cons There are a lot of options to use, so you might want to watch some of their videos to quicken your learning of all the options. Limited automation complexity (on free or lower-tier plans) If you want advanced automations like branching logic, conditional filters, or tagging based on user behavior, MailerLite’s system can feel a bit rigid or simplistic. February 5, 2025 3.0 I had a very positive experience during the first years with classic MailerLite. However, due to the switch to the new MailerLite, I have been left with a really unpleasant aftertaste and would not recommend it so quickly anymore. Pros I have been a satisfied customer of MailerLite for many years. MailerLite offers a great price-quality ratio. It provides sufficient marketing automation functionalities, an unlimited number of emails to send for a fixed low price, and the dashboard works quite intuitively. It's straightforward, and I have never had a reason to switch. Cons MailerLite has two programs: the classic and the new. I was a customer of the classic version and found the speed of the program insufficient. I often had to wait seconds while creating campaigns, which bothered me. I wanted to upgrade to the new MailerLite, but that wasn’t possible. I had paid a year in advance and would lose that money if I upgraded. Apparently, these two versions are not linked to each other. So you don’t get a refund if you want to upgrade, which I think is a significant disadvantage. In the end, I was able to upgrade at the end of the year, but within 2 months, my account was suspended. There was no explanation for why my account was suspended. I also lost the money for the remaining month. I was glad that I hadn’t paid for another year in advance. As a result, I was forced to look for another provider. I learned never to take a yearly subscription again, thanks to MailerLite. The recent experience I had with customer support, helping me regain access to my account, was outstanding and confirmed that the service is trustworthy and professional. Pros The platform is very intuitive and easy to use, even for someone who doesn’t send campaigns every day. I also really appreciate the value for money and the excellent customer support. The team is quick, kind, and always ready to help. Cons I sometimes find that when I don’t use the account for a long time, it can be a bit confusing to recover access or remember all the settings. Author Writing and Editing Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Great website, but you will need a personal domain" June 18, 2025 4.0 I started using it for two different author pen names. My first experience was like AHHHH what do I do? I am soooo lost. But it didn't take but a few minutes to figure out what I was doing wrong and to realize that my confusion was user error, not the website. Then, when I got really good at it, I started using it to do PA work for other authors to handle their Newsletters on their accounts(still do this now) and I love how fun it is to play with new design ideas. Pros I loved how much of it was able to be modded so that my emails could be totally unique. Once I figured out how to use it, I was able to create so many different styles in templates, and it was really fun and user friendly. Cons When the DMARC thing hit, I was unable to keep my account. I do not have the extra money to pay for a website at this time, and I didn't know how to get around that. My friend has a couple domain names and she let me borrow one, but it rejected when we tried to get it approved. As long as you have your own domain name though, it's an amazing place to do business.
