I think it's a great one for start-ups and small business owners to start with, but probably when you grow, you'll have to change to another platform. Pros It's cheap. You have also landing page / website builder included. Cons A lot of bugs and issues. I think we are weekly in contact with customer support. This platform has a lot of potential, but still has a lot of work to do with improving the technology. It's much more expensive and it doesn't have the website/Landing page builder that Mailerlite has. So, the price and features are what made us change. They will answer every question I ask and in detail. If I am confused, they take even more time to explain and break it down so I can understand since technology is not my strongest suit. I really do appreciate that! Pros For the most part, I find it so easy to use once you start to navigate through. There are great tutorials for every step you are in and if you get stuck, you can email customer support, and someone answers you promptly. Cons Some of the tutorials seem incomplete where I feel that there are steps in between that they are missing. Would be easier to have them in so you don't have to contact support and wait. I wish I could recall a specific incident but somehow I resolved it. While all agents have been great, one in particular \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] not only gave excellent tech support she also cheered me on and gave me the confidence I needed to tackle the problem. Moreover, while I slept and the domain authenticated, she followed up on the chat to let me know it had gone through. It was really great to open my account and see that she had followed up to let me know it was done. She did not have to do that, but it just shows you all hire people that take ownership of the customer's problem. I was thrilled that I got her a second time to complete the issue (I had to get a new host in-between) and she once again gave me emotional support/encouragement and flawless tech support. I couldn't be happier with service I have received from everyone at MailerLite. Pros Easy to use and fun layout. I appreciate the drag and drop features. Cons I wish I could take an existing email that has gone out and turn it into a template. Pros It's a very simple, clean but professional email marketing service. I mostly use it to manage my newsletter subscribers but it also offers to create landing pages, blogs and popups. Yeah, it's advance but not hair pulling complex. it's perfect for small to medium-size businesses only, around 100k subscribers at most. why? TWO reasons. First, it's simple to use, quite reputed and has a lower price than its competitors like Aweber & Convertkit, which makes it the first choice for small and medium-sized businesses. Second, When your subscribers grow beyond 100k you need a more robust system to perform tons of automation based on so many factors, and as the industry standard, you should be at least making $1000/month, per 1000 subscribers, so you should be making enough money to invest in more robust enterprises level ESP. Mailerlite is not for enterprises level of advance and complex automation, so Mailerlite is a brilliant choice for bloggers, freelancers and online instructors. and that's why I use it for my small business. Cons When you signup for Mailerlite's team takes 2-4 days to activate your account, so you can not use it instantly, you have to wait for their approval, I waited for 3 days :) and the website integration process is also strict. I use a different service for cost reasons, but MailerLite is my second choice. And someday I may come back to them. Pros I liked the ability to create email templates and the ease of drag-and-drop components. It makes pretty newsletters that encourage involvement from those subscribed. Cons I had issues with them refusing to send out a campaign for different reasons. I had to take extra steps to make sure what I had written in the campaign would reach the subscribers. It is amazing and really helpful that they allow free users access to their email automation feature. Pros Over the years, I have tried many email marketing services and I must acknowledge that MailerLite is a great alternative to MailChimp. They have really nice landing page options even if you're using their free plan. Beyond the landing pages, I did not end up choosing MailerLite as my "forever" email marketing provider though. I teach women how to start their own online business and if one of my students did not have a website I could not refer them to this provider. You need a website and a domain email address in order to use this service. Cons Some entrepreneurs are just starting out and they do not have a website yet. There are many online business owners who that want to build their email list before building their website. To get access to MailerLite however, you need a website. So, unfortunately, I cannot recommended this platform to my business friends who don't have a website yet. Cons My only wish list item is to have more flexibility when searching for a user in the database. It just uses email address, which I often don't have when searching, or $name field, not first name + last name. Cons Once in a while an email isn't sent properly to all my subscribers, or something doesn't work properly and I have to go to support - they're always super helpful, friendly and I'm usually happy by the end of the conversation - Another con- I've stopped using countdowns in emails, but I think that's due to the Apple iphones privacy settings, they just don't work anymore.The rich text composer can be infuriating - the backspace button on the keyboard has some sort of bug in that scenario where it will just delete an entire email. But I've just got into the habit of writing in Word and copy pasting into the email editor. Pros When I first started MailerLite, I didn't have any knowledge about email marketing and struggled to figure out how to set up everything. MailerLite provided actual help (in person, not bots) who patiently guided me throughout the process. They also respond queries to emails in reasonable time and again, I was corresponding with actual person. I think this is the competitive advantage of MailerLite. Cons Nothing, really. I emailed Customer Support and received a quick response! Honestly, I wasn't expecting a personalized response that soon. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] was kind enough to inform me that I may have installed the plug-in incorrectly and advised me on the steps of how to embed it properly. Sure enough! User error. I was able to embed and redesign to the form to my liking. Tested it and it works! The instructor for an email campaign class mentioned that she recommended MailerLite for such folks as me and I am glad that she did! I recall attempting to use MailChimp and found it difficult to navigate through and not as intuitive as I liked. For Constant Contact, I did use that when I consulted for a small company but disliked the limited options. I also am intrigued by the MailerLite Academy and want to enroll in that. Cons The \*only\* thing that I dislike is that I, along with others in my class, didn't care for the background elements in the landing page templates. We all thought that we could modify the red color to a different color to match our background to no avail. It took some ingenuity but I did end up creating a landing page that I really like.
