Overall, Fulcrum is a reliable and effective tool for efficiently getting work done. I found the Fulcrum Academy especially helpful, with its wide range of short, practical videos that make learning efficient.

Pros

What I liked most about Fulcrum is how user-friendly the platform is. It's very intuitive, which makes it easy to get started and navigate. Additionally, the automated helper is a great feature; it provides helpful guidance and support whenever you need a solution.

Cons

What I liked least about Fulcrum is that some features can take time to fully understand at first, especially if you’re new to the platform. While the available resources are helpful, there can still be a slight learning curve when trying to use more advanced functions. Additionally, certain workflows could be more streamlined to make tasks quicker and more efficient.

I can not fault the app, it's great! However Fulcrum were very dishonourable in the way they continually pushed prices up, and now require a minimum of 5 paid users regardless if you only need one. I would have loved to stay with the platform but only need one user account and refuse to be bullied into paying for 5. Honestly folks you can produce almost the same level of capability using a few data collection platforms that have an API and coding it using Ai for a fraction of the cost. I should have gone down this path years ago and saved the money and stress of constantly knowing Fulcrum would jack the prices yet again. Great software, but DON'T lock yourself in to this company.

Pros

I used Fulcrum for years with my organisations, it's fast, has great offline access, is very capable and simplifies the entire data collection process. It's relatively easy to learn and the ability to edit forms and reports using Java script is excellent.

Cons

The cost has become ridiculous and as such it's completely unviable for any small business, or new startup.

It has allowed me to be an effective communicator with my customers. I am able to share reports with ease which keeps growers in the loop with what is taking place in their fields.

Pros

It is a very effective way for me to provide reports from the field. I can include pictures from my drone and the ground which paint a picture of what I'm seeing in the field.

Cons

It can take a little bit for pictures to load when hitting save, but otherwise there aren't any cons.

Overall it has been great. We can manage all of our data for the jobs, upload photos and videos. Keep job notes, and add progress to each job.

Pros

It makes doing estimates much easier. Techs can put in their information on the jobs, and I can go in there to see the notes and it is secure.

Cons

Waiting on photos to load on the mobile app. When trying to open photos thru the mobile app it is a very slow process.

I use fulcrum weekly to collect property data onsite and generate custom reports. It is a good product if you can afford it.

Pros

Its reliability offline and stable report generation. The Form Builder is best in class. The mobile data collection app is very reliable, both online and offline, which is uncommon in other mobile form apps I have tried.

Cons

The user subscription model for us as a start up is confronting. And the min cost of the API can be a little eye watering for small buisness. Would like to see more volumne / on-demand pricing for both reports and API's.

ChatGPT said: I have had a good experience with Fulcrum, except for the issues I mentioned regarding what I like least about it.

Pros

It’s very helpful when you have many fuses to create in Fulcrum. You can simply create one of each type of fuse and then duplicate it to make more. Without this feature, our work would be much more difficult.

Cons

I don’t like it when I duplicate or create an electrofusion coupling, and when I generate the Fulcrum report, the electrofusion coupling appears with both the electrofusion coupling size and an outlet size. It shouldn’t display an outlet size."

Great ! fantastic tool for the job ! Besides some issues with the accuracy of some drop points, it was the best way to reference for further analyses a lot of data. Thank you !

Pros

Absolute ease of all functionalities. Perfectly adapted to the job. All the datas that were inputed are of critical use for our mission.

Cons

Sometimes the accuracy on the map was a bit off. In certain cases, searching with a margin error of about 25' of a radius from a drop point took more time than it should have. But overall it was fine.

The software worked great for this project. Customer support was very good from project start through finish.

Pros

I liked the customizable priorities and asset reporting fields. Very easy to use once acclimated to the tools.

Cons

Many asset files were deleted at clients request. Client later asked to reinstate them in the record. Worked closely with support to reinstate them. A shortcut would have been nicer.
