Overall very positive. It has a wide range of functionality that can be customised for every company. It has helped us streamline our workflow and manage our on site crews allowing us to deliver a faster and better service for our customers.

Pros

Fantastic support for the full team. Always available and prompt to reply. Although it takes time to get used to all the available tools, once you become proficient at implimenting methods for your own use case, it is an invaluable tool.

Cons

Some issues with syncing across mobile devices at times which is problematic. Some features we would expect to be standard are not included and are very slow to roll out.

Overall, Scoop has proven to be a powerful, highly customizable project management solution that has adapted to the way our business operates, rather than forcing us to adapt to the software. We have a few requests in the queue for their Dev team, but overall, it has made our operations team way more efficient.

Pros

Our organization needed a project management platform that could support a complex property structure, with a corporate headquarters overseeing multiple sites, each containing several buildings. After evaluating several options, Scoop stood out because of its flexible hierarchy model, which allows us to organize, manage, and report on our entire portfolio with ease while still tracking milestones at the building level. One of the biggest advantages has been the ability to customize nearly every aspect of the platform ourselves, without relying heavily on vendor support. This flexibility has allowed us to tailor workflows, forms, and reporting to fit our specific business needs. We have also successfully integrated Scoop with several of our other business systems, creating a more streamlined and connected operation. As we continue to use the platform, we're constantly discovering new features and functionality that help improve efficiency and provide greater visibility across our projects. Last, but certainly not least, is Scoop's exceptional customer support. Their team has been one of the biggest reasons we've been successful with the platform thus far. I can almost always schedule a same day meeting with our Scoop rep, \[sensitive content hidden\] , whenever I need help learning a new feature, troubleshooting an issue, or customizing a workflow we're exploring. Rather than simply answering questions, the support team takes the time to understand our goals and provide guidance on the best way to configure the platform for our business. That level of responsiveness and expertise has made adopting new features much easier and has helped us get the most value out of Scoop. It's rare to find software backed by a support team that is this knowledgeable, accessible, and genuinely invested in their customers' success. For us Customer Service is 5 stars!

Cons

Since the software is so customizable, there was no online training support when you first start out on how to navigate, different pages and options, etc.. I would like to see some generic how-to videos on different features of Scoop so I can stop bothering \[sensitive content hidden\] so much, even though he is always wonderful and acts happy to see me!

Reasons for choosing Scoop

Ease of use, customization on our own, cost and ability to have the hierarchy we wanted with our niche business model of project sites and multiple buildings.

So far my experience with Scoop has been outstanding. \[sensitive content hidden\] has made this much easier than I had expected and his patience has been unbelievable. I have worked with some other companies in the past and felt like it was a rush to get everything wrapped up. We have really enjoyed working with this Team and looking forward to building our Scoops out even more.

Pros

I really like the way that we are able to customize our Scoop to meet our companies needs now while planning for our growth.

Cons

At first the complexity and not knowing how to make conditions and rules, however with time it is becoming a little easier.

We have used Scoop since 2019. With help from Scoop’s GLOO team, we built integrations and continually refined them as our business evolved. Scoop has become the backbone of our project management. Every solar, heat pump, EV project, and other electrification service we sell runs through Scoop, and the automations save us hours of admin work. We’ve been able to keep our operations team lean while handling all project management smoothly. It’s been critical for scaling our business without adding unnecessary headcount.

Pros

Scoop makes project management so much easier by keeping everything in one place. Our team uses it to coordinate between sales, design, and operations, and it ensures nothing slips through the cracks. Automated workflows, conditional fields, and integrations with our CRM and design tools have been a lifesaver. It removes guesswork, reduces errors, and gives our operations team complete visibility. Without Scoop, we probably wouldn't be able to do a lot of the customizations we do now.

Cons

The biggest challenge isn’t the platform itself but making sure everyone uses it consistently. Like any system, it works best when all team members follow the process. Once they do, everything is flawless.

We’ve used Scoop to manage 1,000+ commercial solar projects and 100,000+ checklist items. It has become the backbone of our operations, cutting down duplicate tasks, streamlining communication, and aligning everyone around the same workflow. From onboarding through day-to-day execution, Scoop supports the way we work: democratic, transparent, and process-driven.

Pros

Scoop makes it much easier to manage our complex commercial solar projects end-to-end. We run everything from early-stage design through permitting, construction, and even O&M in the platform. It’s flexible enough that whether we’re managing a large rooftop system, a carport, or a multi-year new construction solar project, we can standardize workflows, track deadlines, and keep our teams aligned.

Cons

The platform has so many capabilities that it takes some time to decide the best way to configure dashboards and reports for different teams. Once set up, it’s powerful and easy for everyone to use.

Scoop has greatly improved our team's efficiency and clarity in both field reporting and project management. The ability to automatically report information from our teams on site, capturing that information right in Scoop, and then presenting it for our clients has made our entire operation increasingly smoother. Scoop is a great software for continual process iteration as well, giving us the ability to take team feedback and modify parts of each workflow from information display to notification schemes. Overall, the buildout of our Scoop platform has made information handoff significantly easier between team members and our clients which has freed up the Captain Power team to focus more on doing rather than busy work and manual project updates.

Pros

Nice way to visual track projects through their workflow, collect data form the field, and house project documents. I really enjoy all of the easy customizations we can make on displaying different project info on certain workflow stages to tailor it for the individual team member working on that workflow. The ability to create different notification schemes, create conditional action items on a project, and nicely present all of this information into a color-coded, well-organized project dashboard has made our solar project management significantly more streamlined.

Cons

The inventory system was not quite robust enough for our operation as it expanded into multiple departments.

Overall very positive. It took quite a lot of time to get fully familiar with the system, but once it’s up and running it’s very beneficial for our day to day operations.

Pros

The ongoing support is a big help as there is a lot of flexibility within the system, so help navigating various options is great

Cons

The inability to add items to the calendar that do not have a specific project or scoop prevents us from putting in holiday dates for individual crew members, so we need to track this separately

Excellent experience! Would recommend to anyone looking for a project management tool! Love everything about it

Pros

Scoop is easy to use and great for organization for our project managers. Very little bugs and issues. Great customer support and onboarding! We love the customization!

Cons

We have had no real issues, so we don't have anything that we like the least! Everything is great!!

They really tried to be the product and company we needed and unfortunately, it just didn't work out. Their team is very friendly and does offer great customer service. There is a lot of features that could use an upgrade (especially Work Orders and payment tracking). Overall, they are a good product that I am sure will continue to improve itself for their clients.

Pros

At first, it seemed we would like the interface the most. Everything can be customized, which is actually a pro and a con. Their customer service is great and they do provide a lot of support to your team.

Cons

It needs A LOT of time and resources to set-up. Due to being able to customize everything, there really isn't an "out of the box" option to hit the ground running. It took our team months to get things somewhat where we wanted but we were constantly changing things. Everything costs additional.
