### "A Reliable System That Helps Keep Our Pediatric Therapy Clinic Running "

February 24, 2026

5.0

Overall, our experience with has been really positive. It’s become part of our everyday routine at the clinic. From the moment a family completes intake to documenting sessions and handling billing, everything flows through one system, which makes our work feel more connected and organized. As a pediatric therapy center, accuracy really matters to us both for our kids and for compliance and Fusion helps us stay on top of that. Once our team got past the initial learning curve, we started to see how much smoother our days became. It’s not perfect, but it’s dependable, and we’ve seen steady improvements and updates over time, which we appreciate.

Pros

There’s definitely a bit of an adjustment period, especially for new team members who haven’t worked with an EHR before. When we first started, it felt a little overwhelming just because there are so many features. Some tools seem geared toward bigger organizations, so we had to spend some time figuring out what actually fit our clinic’s day-to-day workflow. The reporting side can also take a little tweaking to get the exact data we’re looking for. It’s nothing major, but it does require some patience while you’re getting comfortable with the system.

Cons

When we first started using , it honestly felt like a lot to take in. There are so many features, and for new staff who’ve never used an EHR before, it can be a bit overwhelming at first. We definitely had to spend some time clicking around and figuring out what really fit our day-to-day workflow. Some parts feel designed for much larger clinics, so we had to adjust things to make it work for us. Even the reports sometimes need a little trial and error to get exactly what we need. It’s not a huge issue, but it does take some patience while you’re getting used to everything.

### "Why do I leave Fusion"

March 28, 2026

3.0

I used for probably a little longer than 2 years and decided to switch to another platform/system due to the Cons I mentioned above. Fusion saved time and did help streamline my work process, especially with session notes, billing, and client management. But these are what other providers offer, at a cheaper price as well!

Pros

The templates they provide by default come handy for users, especially the small business owners in medical/healthcare industry. The feature of "Pull Forward" of the previous note is my favorite and that is very helpful to make documentation and paperwork easy peace-y!

Cons

The value for money may not justify if you only have less than 10 users. Customer support is not real time. Basically, everything will be routed to either online "library" -- FAQs or an AI. Difficult to have individualized support when you need one. When departing from , there is actually a binding contract to limit how far ahead i.e., at least 3 or 6 months that you need to notify them or you cannot end the subscription. Read all those small prints carefully! The data export is a pain for me, given how badly they handled the exit of a client.

### "Terrible Company, Originally Good Software "

August 12, 2025

2.0

Overall, the software has worked, though it hasn't really been updated in 10 years. The reason I would never recommend it is how terrible the company is. Stay away.

Pros

First off, you need to know that this product was originally Web Clinic. We started using it 9 years ago when it was the original company, which was great. They sold the software around 2021 and it's since gone WAY down hill. Originally, Fusion was the most advanced and easy to use emr for slps available.

Cons

ZERO, and I mean ZERO, customer support. Again, under the original company, support was great. Once the terrible private equity company bought the platform, all they cared about was selling other products and services.

### "Great system for multi-discipline practice "

February 19, 2025

5.0

I enjoy it much more than previous EMR softwares used. It felt like it took at least 6-9 months to feel confident in using but now that we have been using it for about a year and a half everything seems to run very smoothly.

Pros

I enjoy the scheduling capabilities. We provide both speech and OT, it is nice how the services are separated. I like being able to use a patient portal for intake forms and the patients access to the portal. I like the reminders for authorizations and reports. Resubmitting claims is significantly easier than other EMRs and I really like the automatic accepted/rejected/denied feature, it is a very big time saver.

Cons

I do not like that you cannot customize the appointment reminder messages, although it looks like this is a pending feature. The billing tab can be confusing at times, I wish that payments could link directly to a service.

### "Fusion Web Clinic is a good overall package"

April 2, 2025

4.0

Overall, I very much like Web Clinic. My experience has been generally positive and I've found support to be pretty good. Occasionally support doesn't get back as fast as I need them to, but for the most part, they do very well.

Pros

Things I like most about : 1) the ease of scheduling; 2) you can create reports; 3) reconciliation is pretty clear cut

Cons

Inability to create/modify rules; The fact that reports created under Insights New do not reflect immediately reflect data changes -- it takes 24 hours! That is simply NOT feasible in the work environment. Inability to share Legacy Reports; While I really like the versatility in designing Insight New Reports, I really wish Insights Legacy had more versatility for designing reports. The inability to share those Legacy reports is problematic in that maybe I only want to share a couple of reports and the others are just for Admin levels and not for everyone else.

### "Worth the headache, but just barely."

March 3, 2025

2.0

Like all EMRs it is a necessary evil when dealing with providing therapies.

Pros

It gets the job done and gives a decent summary of our financials.

Cons

That it doesn't sync with Microsoft Office calendars and that it doesn't link with WebABA or WebABA's billing software. It creates an additional nightmare for our office having to run two EMRs and two billing platforms through two different brokerages. It would be best if would just add in ABA billing. Also, the recent cost increase announced doesn't coincide with any fabulous improvements we have seen on the user side.

Alternatives considered

[CentralReach](https://www.capterra.com/p/140743/CentralReach/)

Reason for choosing Fusion

Pricing was lower in and the SOAP notes were better for OT. Regretting that now that we have ABA and are needing to have two different EMR's that cannot integrate even though we were told otherwise when signing up.

### "Overall Very Positive"

February 28, 2025

5.0

Overall, very positive. Easiest and most user-friendly EMR I have used to date. (Have previous experience with Simple Practice, TheraPlan, EPIC, and one other that I can't recall the name of.)

Pros

Easy interface, intuitive tools, features (pull forward, etc.)

Cons

Would love to see pull forward available for single items instead of whole section (for example, pull forward individual therapy goals). Our billing department has mentioned frustration/difficulties with billing multiple services on one day and needing to utilize a third-party program for those patients.

### "Some great feature, others not so much. "

February 20, 2025

3.0

There are some aspects like assisted billing that are helpful, but then there are some very basic functions that are missing, limiting the usability of the platform. I think it would be great for a smaller clinic.

Pros

Automatic claim generation is very useful and speeds up time between therapy taking place and reimbursement. Also very helpful to be able to email/fax out of the system directly to a provider.

Cons

It would be useful to be able to print off patient's appointments from their chart without having to generate a report through insights. You also cannot filter out paid and unpaid invoices, which makes printing off invoices extremely cumbersome. Because of this, I have to combine all paid invoices for one patient into one invoice so that I am not sifting through thousands upon thousands of invoices each billing cycle. I still have over 3,500 invoices two years after implementing and combining paid invoices into one. I have to individually select each invoice that I want to print and have to do them in batches since Fusion cannot generate a download that is that large at one time. I don't believe the Fusion is necessarily the best choice for a clinic of our size (1000 active patients at a given time and 55+ therapists). The suggestion feature doesn't seem to make a difference. It seems like random features/updates get added that aren't really useful at all. There is a fee or charge associated with the updates a lot of the time as well, which can be frustrating. No option for sending a reminder about a past due balance either.

Very positive. We get the answers we need.

Pros

### "Great Customer Support and Customization for Growing Businesses"

February 19, 2025

5.0

Overall, I have been enjoying my experience with . They are receptive and customizable up to a point. I am learning about new features all the time and appreciate the hard work their development team puts in. I would recommend this software for any small businesses.

Pros

Customer support will always try to help you with your issues. They are wonderful about listening to what features we want in the future. I enjoy the customization of reports and am always finding new ways to improve my productivity.

Cons

The speed of updates being rolled out. Our business has been growing fast so we need a program that can keep up with our speed. While I love , there are some features that we absolutely NEED now.

### "Good for peds but could be WAY better!"

February 19, 2025

3.0

We have been with for well over 4 years and our therapists like how it is centered around pediatrics. I think the cost is extremely high and the support isn't that great. I would think a large company like Fusion is able to make important updates to their system when suggested by their users fairly easy, but you don't see this happening. They have a tendency to roll out functions that do not "function" well at all for our company.

Pros

The fact that it is centered around pediatrics

Cons

The cost and the poor function of some of the features- text messages, intake, lack of Ai.

### "Comprehensive, but room for improvement"

February 19, 2025

is a decent option for a pediatric therapy clinic. It has many features that are necessary for running a clinic like scheduling, billing, and documentation. I think a foundational issue with Fusion, however, is that the whole system needs an overhaul to keep up with technology and the needs of clinics. While Fusion does add features (i.e. intake paperwork last year), it takes a long time to get anything added, and there are underlying issues (like the fee schedules) that have been requested for a long time. Things like the fee schedules would make several parts of the system more useable. I've used several EMRs in my search for the elusive perfect system, and I would potentially switch to a more modernized EMR if my staff wouldn't hate me for switching again!

Pros

The way notes are setup. They allow you to easily create a SOAP note and track goal data.

Cons

Billing and reports. doesn't allow you to create fee schedules for different insurance companies, so billing can be difficult to reconcile and reports dealing with actual dollars aren't accurate.

Reason for choosing Fusion

We also considered Ambiki, but that wasn't an option. - SimplePractice didn't have enough features for our clinic (but it's great for a small clinic with a single discipline). - Ambiki was great, but they were just starting out and I didn't feel comfortable going with them just yet. - Jane was our favorite, but they didn't have the ability to modify CMS1500, which was a deal breaker due to a Medicaid requirement in our state. - PracticeQ was our second favorite, but billing secondary insurance was an issue at the time.

### "We love Fusion"

February 19, 2025

5.0

Good overall experience, customer service is so nice and great to talk to about issues and problem solving. I recommend to many friends. I do have difficulty getting a hold of the billing department, that is my biggest complaint.

Pros

I love the scheduling features, the insight reports, the documentation and the goal charts.

Cons

What I like least is having some many PRN therapists that maybe just work a day a week or just fill in if someone is sick and having to pay for them for the full month. I wish there was an option on the schedule to move a whole day to a different therapist, and then also on the billing side if they covered for a therapist that we already pay for if there was a credit for them or discounts for employees working 4 days or less a month. I also would like to have the option to not have a daily note populate when we do an evaluation or a progress report. Another suggestion would be to be able to set the goal mastery the same for all of the goals instead of having to click on the mastery for each individual goal.

### "Fusion Review 2025"

February 14, 2025

4.0

It has been okay. Honestly, I've dealt with very old EMR systems and I've dealt with nicer ones. lands somewhere in the middle.

Pros

It is an easy EMR to learn which makes it user friendly for providers. I appreciate having clear features.

Cons

There are many things that I feel like is not up to date on. Their reporting is not always clear & concise. Additionally, there is no way to link reminders to accounts for payment plans or sibling accounts together. You can link accounts together for payment (so you can just run 1 invoice) but then there is no way to separate these 2 through a statement. We are also missing the ability to automatically add modifiers to claims, this has to be done manually.

experience has been ok the appointment section is the best thing in

Pros

appointment scheduling and the ability to send notes directly either email or fax

Cons

way too many steps to do some task, when a check is not reconciled the steps involved to fix are way too many! The reporting does not give the information needed. It does not summarize by insurance company and patient. Reports are all by charts and graphs they do not break down in detail by patient name and insurance company. Cannot get an accurate count of what is outstanding. The reports are not in a printable option to work on. Excel format is too much work to go back and forth. The chat app representatives are not available on a regular basis sometimes takes several days to get one. And if you open up a case it is several days later sometimes when they get back and by that time I have forgotten what I needed or figured out how to fix. ### "Good enough."

February 18, 2025

4.0

It has been fine, but there are efficiencies and visuals that I wish were better. I also think the costing of all the little things adds up quickly and it gets expensive.

Pros

Billing is easy and efficient. It's quick to get started.

Cons

The view of the calendar with multiple clinicians is incredibly overwhelming - I hate that you can't see the entire day on a screen - I wish we could change the sizing of the rows. I also think there should be better tracking of who puts what in where. I also wish we could hide things on the evaluations, because it's way too much for clinicians to sort through.

### "Fusion, Poor Customer Service and No Way Off This Ride. "

February 26, 2025

1.0

DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SOFTWARE. The add on costs alone make it just as expensive as other platforms that don’t have those add on fees. In addition, auto renewals that can’t be avoided unless you give a full 90 days notice is absolutely insane, especially when I have 60 days but since it’s not 90 I’m told I need to pay for an entire additional year which is crazy because I didn’t get a new contract when they switched from to Fusion by Therapy Brands nor when they raised my monthly rate so I’m really just fed up at this point

Pros

was a decent platform that made billing and documentation relatively easy. I had to set up a large portion of it to be the way that worked best for my clinic, but overall the set up was decent. Honestly it was a great product UNTIL Therapy Brands took it over.

Cons

DO NOT USE THIS SOFTWARE. So many things are add on costs/per usage cost on a system that is already pricey, especially for solo/smaller practices. On top of that, customer support is slow if existent at all. I had an issue with the intake forms flat out not being sent to or usable by my clients families (this is an add on cost to use so I paid for something that didn’t work) and was told basically to “just resend it, thanks for reaching out, we’ve now closed this case” as if 1. I hadn’t already attempted to re-send and 2. Like that was the only possible fix and they’d done their due diligence with that advice for a service I WAS PAYING EXTRA FOR NOT WORKING. At no point was refunding or compensating offered. And to top it all off, we pay monthly when we signed on to use at no point were we told our contract would auto renew or that we would be locked into a whole additional year if we didn’t provide written notice 90 DAYS IN ADVANCE OF THE AUTO-RENEWAL DATE and now they’re claiming we will need to pay for an entire year of service because we notified them only 60 Days ahead of the switch instead of 90 days.

Overall our experience with has been extremely frustrating. The lack of ability to customize. The way that a patient sticks to a service rather than a provider, the lack of additional provider types. No Sandbox environment, to test features that I'm having to MacGyver together to just complete our basic tasks.. means that I'm testing in our real environment which has caused it's own hiccups. Oh -- and the lack of ability to really know how any of this was going to affect our practice until we were already under contract..

Pros

is easy to navigate for basic tasks.

Cons

The lack of customizability, our practice has additional staff that work with families beyond therapists, and everyone is labeled "Therapist" in . This became an issue for us, during a court case, where an educator was labeled as a "Therapist".

Cons

### "Its cost effective, but it has its quirks"

February 13, 2025

4.0

Its definitely an upgrade from our previous software and EMR's.

Pros

is a good all in one EMR focused on PT,OT,ST. Billing is quick and easy. Posting is even easier. Adjusting the claim info directly on the claim form within Fusion before sending out is super helpful. Everything is in one place unlike our previous EMRs. Support is usually pretty easy to deal with and can get you an answer quickly. Its cost effective. Ive seen some EMRs that are 3 or 4 times the cost. The new electronic eligibility checks have been a great addition.

Cons

Reporting can sometimes be a mess. Legacy vs new. New only updates at 7am every morning so real time updates arent available unless you're in legacy but they don't give the same options. Sending out reminder texts for appointments based one 1 reminder per hour of appointments means that our adults that may be getting 3 therapies across 2.5 hours get 3 reminders and they only read the last one and get confused on times. Theres no way to change this. Invoicing - instead of creating 1 invoice per patient each month with the total balance due, it creates what was marked as due in the last 30 days so 1 patient may have 3 invoices and they get confused. To get a statement with everything, you have to manually create it yourself which is ridiculously time consuming.

Overall, we have enjoyed the platform and are happy with it. I do think these few improvements could make it really great....especially the HEP being able to comment directly on portal.

Pros

I love that it is very pediatric friendly, and the ease of scheduling and writing documentation is great.

Cons

1\. The home exercise add on is so close to being great, but you can not leave comments to parents on how to implement activities for their individual child 2. I wish you could remove a child from your patients and goals if you are no longer seeing them even if they are still at the practice. Example: if I evaluated a child but they go on another caseload I do not want them still in my patient list 3. I would love a monthly schedule view or a working schedule area for therapists. Where i could have a master schedule when building weekly recurring appointments. 4. I would love a way to edit progress and re-assessment reminders. For example, if a child comes in with an outside evaluation the system does not notify when a progress report is due

### "Best pediatric software out there"

February 24, 2025

4.0

Overall, I think is the best pediatric practice management software out there. I would recommend it to any pediatric practice; however, I'd caution them to be prepared to problem-solve on your own.

Pros

is an all-in-one practice management system. Overall, it is intuitive and user-friendly, with a fairly deep "knowledge base" for accessing information about product features and updates. The reports or "Insights" feature can be a very robust addition to anyone's practice. I like that it is pediatric therapy-specific.

Cons

While the "new" Insights offers the user added flexibility for reporting, it is not for the faint of heart, in that it can be a little difficult in some cases to generate the information needed. In some cases, I am not able to generate practice information I am seeking. To that end, I also find that Fusions customer support has decreased over the 9-ish years our practice has used the system. In the past, it was relatively easy to obtain support; currently, I am unable to obtain answers to our inquiries. It has been made more difficult to connect with Support.

### "Life Changing!"

February 24, 2025

5.0

It's been great. We've got several users and very few complaints. Its very user friendly! I do wish I knew more on how to pull reports because i'm sure we could use it to be more efficient in other ways, I'm just not that familiar with how to pull them so I don't use it that often.

Pros

The convenience and organization of finding/searching for clients.

Cons

It was hard to get used to in the beginning but once I got used to it, it was actually so much nicer than what we used to use. The only thing I sometimes find difficult to remember is adding cases so our therapists can bill. I didn't have to do that before so it's something I often forget.
