### "Best pediatric software out there"

Overall, I think is the best pediatric practice management software out there. I would recommend it to any pediatric practice; however, I'd caution them to be prepared to problem-solve on your own.

Pros

is an all-in-one practice management system. Overall, it is intuitive and user-friendly, with a fairly deep "knowledge base" for accessing information about product features and updates. The reports or "Insights" feature can be a very robust addition to anyone's practice. I like that it is pediatric therapy-specific.

Cons

While the "new" Insights offers the user added flexibility for reporting, it is not for the faint of heart, in that it can be a little difficult in some cases to generate the information needed. In some cases, I am not able to generate practice information I am seeking. To that end, I also find that Fusions customer support has decreased over the 9-ish years our practice has used the system. In the past, it was relatively easy to obtain support; currently, I am unable to obtain answers to our inquiries. It has been made more difficult to connect with Support.

I have used since we opened our clinic in 2016. We started with only the documentation/scheduling option. We added the billing functions in September of 2024. I have had some of my recommendations/suggestions added/changed but others that are very important have not been added/changed.

Pros

The pediatric specific information already in .

Cons

The slow nature of the response time. Frequently when I switch to another section, it will skip up or down to a different section and then I have to scroll back to find it. Also, frequently, when I go to search for a patient, I will start to type their name and then it will refresh and take out what I have already typed.

### "Fair EMR with limitations"

In general, we have been happy with the day to day tasks that must occur like writing daily notes and scheduling. We have not been as happy with other aspects such as inability to share statements through the patient portal without signing up for billing through , inability to pay PT for a PT therapist, inaccuracy of certain reports, inability to run certain reports, inaccuracy of letting us know when children are due for evaluations.

General functionality for day to day tasks for OT/PT/Speech therapy clinic

Charges for each add on, inconsistency, lack of accuracy and inability to run certain reports.

Pros

I enjoy the ease of scheduling and accountability to Bill for and complete the note after you have scheduled. The notes are easy to fill once you have set them up The evaluation documents are extensive and inclusive.

Cons

The signing of notes for managers or supervisors is arduous and repetitive.

Horrible besides scheduling. They do not make patient accounts functional and I am losing money and adding more work causing me to lose money. On top of that they make you put each cat code in and amounts of money. I had therapists leave my clinic and it messed up my notes/documentation. As an admin iu should era able to fix what ever I want. You guys have severely hurt my business and I will never ever reccomend after tuning a practice with you guys and then to not allow me to cancel. Trust me you are not going to get more customers if you can figure this out. You are hurting my practice so much.

The scheduling I think it is great that I can look at multiple therapists schedules at once

Cons

Everything. My company is struggling and is hurting my practice and I reached out to cancel and change to help save my practice and there is like NO way to contact anyone and someone responded and said I have to be stuck until next February. I am literally struggling and it is hurting my practice and spoke to multiple people and they agree that it is not user friendly. I Have told several people not to come to you guys. I am changing to simple practice as it's functional and I can change whatever as an ADMIN. and I will take all of my therapists off. I have already posted all over the therapy pages because you will not allow my contract to end.

It is a better system than I have worked with in the past but still takes more time to do the notes than necessary. Making it easier to pair with note taking AI would make it even better

Pros

I like how easy it is to write notes for the pediatric population by customizing the objective and by building your own homework and handout section

Cons

I dislike the having to put in the time when it doesn't change from week to week. I dislike the goal tracking because is is difficult to word my goals so it is easy to decipher the progression toward the goal with use of percentiles, and times accomplished so I typically make my goals yes and no measures. I dislike that it is so difficulty to pair with AI and I have to copy and paste everything which takes more time than necessary

Mostly great. There's a few things I would love to add, but most of the time, it is great for what we need at our clinic.

Pros

Ease for providers as far as scheduling and documentation. Lots of reporting functions. Quick payment posting process. Patient check in process, and intake paperwork so much easier now than our previous EHR.

Cons

Some of the reporting options are clunky. I'd love a "last viewed patient" function, and a DOB displayed when you hover over an appointment. Importing data from forms to patient chart would be nice, too.

excels at: ease of use, quick turn around with claims, streamlined processes, and it is very rare that I have to call an insurance nowadays. Those shifts have made me a happier practitioner and business owner.

Pros

The best thing about is the time it has saved me filing claims. If time is my currency, then Fusion has been priceless.

Cons

My experience transferring bank accounts and all the extra work it gave me. Wish there had been an easier way.

We really like overall as it is easy to navigate and helps us to stay compliant with documentation and billing.

Pros

It’s user-friendly and comes with just about anything that you could need for a private practice. We do our own billing and has been easy to navigate from start to finish with generating claims all the way to adjudication of claims. Notes are also easy to complete with standard soap note format.

Cons

can get expensive for practices of any size. There are add-ons for texting messaging, faxes, and telehealth.

is easy to understand and navigate with the exception of mentor/mentee access and use.

Pros

SOAP notes are easily entered and data is readily available for tracking progress.

Cons

The functionality of only one user being able to access an account at a time without being kicked out. This is incredibly frustrating when therapists have students, assistants, or managed therapists under them. The supervisor can't edit notes, access initial or re-evaluations to edit and the supervisor needs to have multiple schedules up at one time when the students are seeing the same clients on their caseload. This is a major design flaw with considering how user-friendly the rest of the EMR system is.

is the best EMR I have worked with in my career. It is easy to find and update information, create reports, and track client data for therapy.

Pros

is very user-friendly and fast. Support staff are responsive to feedback and answer questions quickly. It is easy to pull data for reports.

Cons

I wish had more customization options, such as displaying the number of therapy hours on the calendar screen. I also wish report fields were better able to be mixed and matched to create custom reports. Sometimes the reports and updates impact user functionality but are not announced in advance, creating issues at times.

Overall, I love using , I just wish there were modifications to make the program more comprehensive without the added cost.

Pros

Easy for my therapists to learn and easily document sessions

Cons

There is a lack of cohesiveness with regard to the intake process. is one of the most expensive platforms out there for OT/ST use and yet we are expected to pay extra for intake paperwork. Also, the fact that I pay full price for many of my team members who only use it part-time is a huge cost burden.

I like it overall. It is good to have the generated reports when someone is checked in.

Pros

Streamlined, adding of tests, the layout of the reports.

Cons

Faxing coverpage that has signature already there and easier ability to see sent faxes; ability make personalized eval templates within the current membership & coding of non-timed codes, this really does not make sense for ST. I also wish it had the ability to have self-generated profile fields, we have to do all sort of strange things to be able to pull reports for our practice.

After learning the use of /reports/schedules/calendar I like this software, just after using other therapy software wish this was more "suggestion updates"

Pros

Designed for Therapy clinics, and the Calendar option, colors. Love the Message option in . Really like the Filters, and change fields options.

Cons

Having used other Therapy software in the past/ there are limits w/ . Entering NP w/ sibling and having to create the same information/repeated. If option for sibling/same family/Information would pull. Some of the suggestions that are turned in, to have to get votes to have Fusion consider an update. It would be most beneficial if ALL suggestions were viewed by the software designers and added, not just if it's a majority vote. That would allow Fusion to charge for upgrades more often.

controls in place that are not user friendly like not allowing back dating notes. with no access to computers when in therapy notes get jotted down then transcribed later so it looks like the notes are written way later than they actually were.

I will continue using it but if/when people ask about EMRs i encourage them to look at other options as is very expensive.

All in one system that works for scheduling, documenting, billing and accounting.

Cons

I dis like that I pay nearly 1000/month yet get charged for features that are included at a lower price with other EMRs (texting, virtual visits). These should just be included.

cost, several functions that would make the EMR better and more effective are an additional costs. Frustrating that administration and staff that do not bill insurance are required to pay set fees to work on scheduling and billing etc.

I felt very supported through the set up process. I would freak out in not understanding something and then I would go to one of the office hours and come away feeling much better and with solutions.

Pros

I love the ability to have graphs in reports. This helps my clients and case managers see the progress in a simple way. I also love the billing system. It helps me keep track of what has and has not been paid. It has already caught a few errors and helped me get paid more.

Cons

I would love there to be a make up session option in the appointment options. This will tell me how many more make ups I have on the authorization for the client.

works really well for our clinic and our team is really happy with it.

Pros

is the most user-friendly EMR system that I've used. Even with in-house billing, we can contact the Fusion billing team to ask questions and get help. Responses always come within a timely manner. The in-take forms in the patient portal has simplified and streamlined that part of the in-take process.

Cons

Some of the insights aren't as functional as they could be and I'd really like to run reports based on Deductible and Out-of-Pocket amounts but can't. It would be nice if tracked the initial creation and then any changes with patient files and their scheduling, such as who moved the appt., when it was moved, etc. Tracking communication with families, linked in the patient file for emails sent (invoices and appt. reminders), texts (appt. reminders) to make it easier to pull up the billing contact history for families.

Overall we have been happy with as a whole due to the fact that we like the daily documentation and report writing side of things, but we do not feel that the billing side of the product is as user friendly as it should be.

Pros

The templates and work flow for notes makes sense for pediatric therapy. The functions to carry forward information are also very helpful.

Cons

The reports are very clunky and not very useful from the ownership side of the practice. There are also several functions on the billing side of things with statements and invoicing that are not user friendly to billers or to the consumers.

My experience has been fair. Would like better support from them, when you look up something on the HELP area it is so lengthy with all the brands on there, and then typically is was not answering my question.

1)poor support, have send 2 questions thru contact support and never get a reply 2)being charged a fee for a student when told they will not have a charge 3)reports seem very lengthy

is a wonderful platform for case check in and scheduling as both a clinician and program coordinator for my agency. I found it very useful in tracking client data and the data of staff. With improvements like easy search options for domains or resources and adding in an excel sheet type option would be a plus!

Pros

I enjoy the versatility of it and the many domains where I can locate notes, intake, resources, and patient information.

Cons

Sometimes finding certain domains or items can be a challenge. For my agency we rely on using an excel sheet to keep track of staff caseloads and perhaps it’s because I am not too well versed in for adding an excel sheet/staff caseload of clients on Fusion, however, that would be a benefit to have a list or sheet to add on Fusion of patients/staff caseloads.

is a great option for Pediatric therapists. It is intuitive and easy to learn and use. I would recommend it for other clinics who are wanting an easy to navigate EMR.

Pros

Very easy to integrate and teach new therapists. Good content and very few glitches

Cons

Hard to get a hold of anyone to actually discuss issues with. Would be nice to have an actual customer service rep to talk with. I also feel the price is quite high compared to other EMR's and this a loyalty discount could be a nice option. We have used for over 7 years - how about a price break when you reach 5, 7, 10, and 15 years? You want customers that are in for the long haul, not those who jump from EMR to EMR.

I previously worked for a hospital system that used EPIC. Nothing will ever compare to the ease and functionality of EPIC. is just a much less complex system and therefore less user friendly and less functional. It just is what it is.

Pros

Easy to read and scan quickly, easy to navigate, quick to learn.

Cons

I HATE that you can't have multiple tabs to have multiple charts open or have a chart open and documentation note at the same time. I hate having to get in and out of documentation to check through a chart or open another chart.
