Pros: I have looked at several options for my company and decided on Paymo for the following reasons:
- The software has a very clean and intuitive interface
- One of the best features is how you can customize how projects are set up and tracked. You generate a task list that is checked off as you move trough the project. This is an amazing feature that organizes the project while it tracks it. It took a lot of effort to re-design how my company tracks project but in the end I am very happy with results.
- Pricing system is fair and scalable.
- The software comes with a windows desktop application. It also has a more advanced feature where it automatically calculates how your time is used -I have not tired this yet because I don't think it would work for my office.
- The ability to enter the time on a weekly calendar is fantastic. The software also has a bulk time add feature if needed.
- I am able to export all of the data in CSV format
- You are able to invoice directly out of the software - I have not been able to set up this feature yet but i am working with the support team to figure out how to make it work for my company.
- The software has several features that I have not been able to implement yet.
- Customer support has been great, answer is usually within an hour or two directly from the developers.

Cons: Below is a list of some of the limitations i have encountered using the software.
- The calendar time-sheet input is great, but it should allow drag-paste feature. This would make entering time so much faster. Not a deal breaker, because in the end time input is fairly quick.
- I was not able to import the data from my previous time-sheet software. I would like to see the option to import bulk time from an excel spreadsheet if needed. This is not a critical feature, but I have several years worth of data, that for now have to keep in a different software.
- The software comes with some standard invoice formats, it does take some effort to create custom templates. Architectural service invoices tend to be fairly complicated, I have not been able to set up the invoices as I would like yet. Support is working with me on this issue, so hopefully I can report back once I have it all setup.
- You can create custom reports for anything you want, so getting the data out is not a problem however I find that the process is a bit more tedious than what I was accustomed to before. To be fair I still need to learn the software.

Overall: The main reason for switching to this software is that it allowed my entire team to track time. After using the software for a few months, there have been several benefits from using the software:
- Interface is very clean and allows to track much more data that I was able to do before.
- As stated in the pros, one of the best feature of the software is that it allows users to create task lists individual for each project. This allows our office to set up each project exactly per the contract. This keeps a tight control on the time spent on the project and allows tracking of additional services that are not part of the original contract.
- I am working on the invoice template for the office. If i am able to set this up correctly, invoicing time would be reduced significantly each month.
- The ability to track time directly out of the windows environment is great.
- I am not using the time tracking feature on my phone, mostly because i spend a lot of time sitting at a desk, however other people in the office are using this feature and are happy with it.
- Next step for us is to start implementing control on billable hours per user. This will allow us to control billable time and help organize employee time and work.

Pros: We've been using Paymo in our web development shop now for years. We love the time tracking widget and always have it up on our desktops or phone to track the time we spend bouncing from project to project. Forgot to turn off the timer? No problem - can easily fix it and be on your way. Setting up projects, tasks, user management - all a breeze. The Paymo team keeps coming out with new features and what used to be just a time tracking tool is now becoming a full on project management tool. We're actually looking to expand how we use Paymo very soon...

Cons: For how we're using it right now, we don't use all the project management features and have found that PaymoWidget 4.0.19 actually works better for what we need presently. As we move our org forward though, we'll be adopting their newest widget.

Overall: Paymo makes tracking time a breeze with great management features and role capabilities. Absolutely love the granular control on the reports and ability to manage users, projects, tasks and more. Support has always been super helpful - only contacted them twice in the last 4 years though...so that should say something. Shop approved!

Deceptively well-designed app/software. Excellent value and clever too.

Comments: Do the free trial to see why. You'll get an initial impression that compared to the feature rich apps of Wrike, Asana, Basecamp, Teamwork and many others that Paymo is fairly simple. It is but it has some very-well considered functionality around user permissions, pricing and invoice/report generation. The user interface again looks simple but works great.
For us, what's great about Paymo is:
1. Pricing. Great at $4.95 per user. That's a real per user price. 1 user = $4.95 per month.
2. Additional users (we use many collaborators) can then be switched on/off as required.
3. Good user permissions (switch on/off admin, tasks, projects, invoices, estimates, expenses)
4. The general focus on user performance metrics/utilization (with a good dashboard + individual user metrics by hour, month, project and billed/unbilled time.
5. Fantastic, customisable client reporting and wrap-up invoicing with unlimited free client access to these features*.
*The invoice module ($9.95/month per account - which is great way to charge for this) monitors unbilled time with a one-click invoice generation button. That's a great feature whether you use Paymo to send (and receive payments) or not.
In similar fashion, the client report generation tool is cleverly set-up so you can group time/costs by client, user, projects, task lists, tasks, time, day or billed status as well as include the original budgets by project or tasks. For us that's a massive time-saver and a feature-set that not available or so quick and easy to manage on any other PM system we've tried.
The con's on the present feature list (hence why I've only rated Paymo 4 stars overall):
1. There's no easy to see/use UI control over project/task timescales.
2. Equally, no-billable tasks/reminders don't sit as well in the system.
3. Updates aren't realtime, another great Wrike feature.
4. There's no client/guest access to the project details (which I would have thought Paymo could add easily, by making making the default user status 'view only'.
5. Generally speaking Paymo isn't a slick or richly featured as other leading-class PMs.
However, as of May 4th 2016 there's a promise on Paymo's pricing page that Gantt charts, task scheduling and progress tracking is 'coming soon'. Would be great to know roughly what that means Paymo but those three features even if relatively simple but robust (in Paymo's style) would considerably round-off and build-out the Paymo App experience.

Pros: easy to use, reliable, accurate time tracking. Robust features. Unlimited clients and projects. Each project will have a dashboard showing total hours worked and how many tasks out of total have been completed. Projects can be tracked by custom categories, like bid, active, on hold, lost/won, archived. Task view can be switched between list, table, and kanban; users can collaborate by commenting on tasks, attaching files, assigning the task, and setting due dates. Team Scheduling allows you to see who is busy (or overwhelmed) and who is free to work on more tasks. Accounting features: Invoicing, Estimates, Expenses. The built-in timer makes tracking time spent working on tasks quick and easy.

Cons: Paymo is constantly improving this software and adding great, new features. One that would be helpful is the ability for each user to have a view showing all the tasks assigned to them, sorted by due date. Currently there is a My Tasks section, but it only sorts by Project Name.

Comments: As a very small business - there are only the two of us - I needed a way to accurately track the time we were spending on client projects. Paymo does that for us in a very straightforward way, and the click-and-create reports mean that I can see the information I need for invoicing and get an overview of how we're working through the agreed hours very easily. Not only is our invoicing more accurate - nearly all our monthly invoices have increased as we're not forgetting the odd half-hour here and there - but I also have the answers to the 'what were we doing all day' questions when we spent time on non-chargeable tasks and I'm able to keep a better track of those tasks, too. (I don't use Paymo's invoicing facility - it seem straightforward enough, but I want to do all my accounting in one application to simplify the VAT process.)

Pros: Support is fantastic - I have only had to ask for help a couple of times, but when I do the built-in online help facility means I get an answer very quickly, using language I understand. The other thing that is great is the flexibility of the reporting module. One of my clients likes to see how we're using up the agreed project hours as we go through, so I have created a report just for him and given him the link. He's happy to be getting the information he needs to plan without my having to spend time getting it for him.

Cons: Most of the things that were on my wish list have been incorporated into recent releases. The only one I would still like would be the ability to share reports within the company - at the moment, I do a screenshot of the configuration and my employee copies it. It's not a huge issue, but it would be useful to be able to have personal and shared (company-wide) reports.

Paymo is very user friendly and intuitive.

Pros: Paymo is easy to learn, manage, and use. The price is right for most any size company and the core features are well tuned. It has saved time when preparing timesheets each week and helps us track our hours very efficiently. In a service based industry, a software like Paymo takes the uncertainty out of knowing whether or not you are on target.

The ability to gather vast amounts of data in seconds really has helped analyze our effectiveness at estimating and highlight areas for improvement.

The software's permissions setup and general user interactions are much more suited to a company that has competent employees, unlike competitors like T-sheets (quickbooks). Other time trackers tend to assume the employees are incapable of managing their timesheet and set up a lot of rules that act as roadblocks to efficiency. Paymo maintains control without becoming overbearing.

Cons: The built-in invoicing feature is a little difficult to fully customize. It has "custom" options, but they are not full control. It does allow for custom coding for invoice generation which we are doing now, but this requires someone on staff who is fairly well versed in HTML and other scripts/codes.

I wish that Paymo would talk directly with a desktop version of Quickbooks, but it does work with Quickbooks Online through Zapier Apps.

Overall: The software saved lots of time on repetative non-billable tasks. It gives us more control over data and helps us narrow our focus on the parts of projects that need more efficiency.

Pros: The Paymo setup is quite easy and transparent. In order to customize it for our needs, I found out that I could perhaps manipulate the hierarchy of clients / projects / task lists / tasks. Before doing so, I checked with their Support desk (live chat!) to make sure I wouldn't run into problems later on.
So now, we have a structure that fits our needs pretty well.

The application allows for many views (tables!) and reports.

Cons: For managing a team, it would be nice to have options to save filters, so that you can quickly jump from one view to another.

Some views are a bit too bland, making me feel a little lost on where to go.

Overall: Time tracking is a matter of discipline. Paymo is easy enough to use on a daily base, I had little to no trouble on adapting to the habit.

Comments: I have been using Paymo for about a year now and it has changed my productivity for the better. As a Freelance PA/Project Manager I work for different companies so it is imperative that I can track my time spent on different projects and tasks. Paymo does this easily and with no fuss. Paymo is easy to set up and use. The free trial is perfect for trying out Paymo. I did just that initially and was so impressed that I had to continue with the paid version of Paymo. Once Paymo had been set up and customised I could just log onto Paymo each day and easily track time. It is easy to switch between projects too. Paymo has an overview of hours worked, unbilled amounts, milestones, discussions etc so easy to see at a glance progress per project. At the end of each month I use Paymo to easily invoice my clients. Just one click of a button to invoice unbilled time, check the invoice and send by email! Easy. Paymo then keeps a list of invoices sent out which can be updated to show status. The invoice itself looks very professional and I easily added a company logo. There are custom settings to save the text to be used when sending out invoices. Customer Service is impeccable, on the few occasions I have needed to ask a question I have had fast, helpful responses and have always been dealt with very professionally and quickly. I highly recommend using this project management software, it is time saving, quick, easy and can do an awful lot to assist with the admin side of running a business. I wouldn't be without it! Thank you Paymo!

Pros: Initial free trial. Easy to set up and use. Easy to customise. Easy to track time. Easy to invoice clients. Reporting option available. Excellent customer service, fast to respond and very helpful.

Cons: I can't think of anything.

Paymo for start-ups

Jun 09, 2015

Overall

Comments: I started a business earlier this year. My budget was very tight, but I also knew what I needed in terms of a time tracking app. I searched around for a free app, and found Paymo after trying a few others first. Paymo was the easiest to start using immediately and had the functionalities I needed. Even the free version of it had what I was looking for. Actually, the app gave me more than I was looking for. The best part of it? It provides all the functionality you need but also doesn't take forever to learn how to use. That's important to me, because I just don't have the time to study all the apps I need. Soon, I will become a paying client, but I am writing this out of gratitude. I am amazed that Paymo offers a free version and it's definitely the one I will stick with when I can afford to start paying for the upgraded version. Thank you Paymo, for helping a small start-up company like mine!

Pros: 1. Functionality - it has everything you need 2. The support is outstanding and fast 3. It is simple to use and to figure out 4. Allows me to add my own logo to reports 5. Allows me to add time manually 6. Allows me to show exactly what I am busy with

Cons: It may very well be my own fault for not going through any tutorials, but the only draw-back of the app (it could also be due to me using the free version) is that I have to delete the project each week so that the report will look as I want it to in terms of the hours. What would make things easier for me (this could also be my own fault for not checking a tutorial) is if I did not need to add new tasks in weekly because I delete last week's project for reporting purposes. Please excuse me if this is my own fault - it could be, so don't take my word for it as far as the cons go!

Pros: Paymo is easy to use in configuration, time recording and reporting. It's a great solution for scheduling and recording staff and subcontractor time.

Cons: Paymo is attempting to make the transition from a time recording utility to a full-blown project management tool. In this regard it has a way to go, so it's sort of caught in the middle at the moment. I've made a couple of attempts to work with the auto-time recorder, but have given up each time (but that's possibly more related to the fragmented nature of my work - your mileage may vary.

Overall: Great visibility of where time is being spent, including analysis of time write-offs, job profitability and staff productivity levels.

Pros: Everything I listed in my experience, as well as the other features like team collaboration (that we haven't tried yet, but are going to in the coming months)

Cons: Without the invoice add-on, you only have the option to create one invoice per month...I wish it were at least 2 :(

Overall: For a few years, I've been using Paymo and it has become an essential part of project management for our business. We're able to keep our project, client and time reports organized, as well as files and invoices...yes they offer an easy invoicing system that integrates with the tasks and projects created very well. So, they've been good to us and are constantly improving to keep up with the needs of their customers!

Recommendations to other buyers: Try others first and come back to the tried and true! :)

Pros: It is one of the most friendly timekeeping software I've ever used. Although I do not use all its functions (e.g. accounting), it has proven to be a "must-have" for my professional activity. I really appreciate customer support - all queries addressed over time have received prompt and useful response. The price is competitive and the budget options provided are highly appreciated. I warmly recommend the software.

I also love the option to fill-in time both bulk (e.g., 2 hours) and by hours (12:00 - 14:00). My clients really appreciate this kind of transparecy.

Cons: It would also be of great help if time reports could be exported in Word format (editable). This is not necessary a "con", but an improvement suggestion.

Overall: Fantastic added-value to my business.

Pros: I absolutely love Paymo Plus! I've never been able to work with stopwatch-like time trackers so having Paymo Plus run in the background tracking my time spent on client projects is amazing. It runs all the time and at the end of the day, I simply allocate the entries to my different client projects. And being able to not just check how much time I spent on a day, in a week, month or year, but also per project, client or task is priceless.

Cons: I don't use the task and project management features at all and the same goes for the invoicing. More specialised app are better for that.

Comments: As a freelance programmer I've tried and/or used a whole range of tracking and project management software over the past 20 years or so but Paymo has come as close to the perfect solution for me as I'm ever likely to find.

Pros: I use the Mac widget most of the time. I find logging in to online services irritating so Paymo is perfect. Everything goes in via the (unobtrusive widget) and I log in to the Paymo website maybe once or twice a month to create reports. The time tracking reports are very professional and easy to create.

Cons: I can't think of any other than maybe that it doesn't have a cup of coffee ready for me in the morning :)

Recommendations to other buyers: If you are like me and want a tracking program that is out of the way unless you want to use it, allows you to easily switch between jobs and has a great range of reporting options then definitely try Paymo.

Comments: I was for a long time looking for a software that will help me to have my business organized to be able to worry about my work and don´t spend time managing invoices and tasks. I've tried a lot of solutions and always found something wrong, fundamentally I wanted something simple and that would allow me to automate some tasks; with paymo I found it.

Pros: - the invoices addon is easy to use - allow me to customize the number of invoices according to my accounting - allows me to set a date of expiration to the invoices and sends emails automatically to my clients if the invoice is not paid. Repeating these reminders every x days - you can add a link to pay the invoices so that the customer can pay them through paypal, stripe, etc. - you can create automatically recurring invoices every month - you can ask for invoices to be sent automatically or do it manually.

Cons: There is only one thing that i would like to add to paymo. It´s the possiblity to customize the name of the invoice files with a format that i can choose

I really like this software. It fits almost all my business needs as a freelance.

Pros: Capacity to send invoices by email via Paymo. The Time Sheets is easy to use and I can easily create invoices afterwards. I like having access to the reports, which help me monitor how well my business is doing.

Cons: Would like more possibilities to adapt each invoice either in French or English to be able to write Email Templates either in French or English (now I have to write it in both languages in the same Email, which is not very personal) or to be able to insert a rate PER client directly in the Clients File.

Pros: The workflow. I enter data once at the top of the workflow - build out projects, tasks and subtasks. From there, I can estimate, budget, track. When it comes time to bill, one click and my customer has everything they need, including detailed time tracking information.

Cons: There are a lot of needs by different types of use cases. Paymo can't satisfy everything. Of the few details that _I_ personally would like to have, their support has always offered a useful alternative.

Overall: I am a remote freelancer. From day one, Paymo made planning, budgeting, organizing, and billing simple and straight forward.

Example:
I use it for project planning and task management. I didn't' even realize at the time, but using the built-in timer against each individual task made it so that I could report to my customer overall time on each high-level project and task. When it came time for the first billing, they wanted that level of detail, and got it w/o with the invoice, w/o having to ask. That makes me look VERY good in their eyes.

This is the sort of detail put into this product. Expect to be wowed.

Recommendations to other buyers: The free trial is generous. Give it a try for one billing cycle.

Comments: I have been using Paymo since their version 2, when it was free (around 2 years, give or take). I got hooked back then, then fell even more in love with it when Version 3 came out. I found it when looking for a time clock tool. I run a small business that is hourly contract based, so I needed something to allow me to track multiple employees (users), and the time being spent on contracts. Paymo fit that bill very well. The invoicing features are awesome as well. Project Management is not really its design focus, however it does have a pretty robust setup that is more than adequate. You can track clients, projects and tasks with fairly decent organization. Some detailed reporting and a few light dashboard graphs top off a nice package.

Pros: Invoicing (custom templates, recurring invoices), Reports (customizable, very detailed), Time Tracking (detailed time sheets, detailed timer widget, summary graphs, mobile app, best I've seen), Support (support is email based, however is maintained through an in-page chat type format, making it very easy to communicate with support, and they have pretty quick response, usually same or next day.)

Cons: Really not much to say here. These guys are emerging into this market, so every once in a while I encounter a bug or so. Sometimes they are slow to get them fixed. I get the feeling that they are struggling just a little bit to keep up with demand.

Pros: Easy to use.
Intuitive

Overall: Great program, I tested various software and no answer my management needs and control that intended, the PaymoApp was the one who managed.
Additionally the "time tracking" is the best we could find to control the production, running in the background, and only associate the task to the time it is automatically counted!

With time and use, the metrics become important management indicators!

I strongly recommend.

Pros: We're able to manage client projects, tasks, deadlines, and timesheets, which is transforming the way we coordinate and manage short- and long-term tasks. It's provided much-needed structure.

Paymo has additional capabilities that we haven't yet taken advantage of -- reporting, for example. In 2018, we look forward to exploring all of Paymo's features and optimizing our use of its capabilities.

Cons: Some aspects of Paymo's use weren't intuitive to our team, and we had to receive some training to take advantage of some of its capabilities. However, that training was very easy to come by, and Paymo's support has been very responsive.

Comments: We have a unique company that has to track our time very diligently. Paymo is the first all-inclusive tracking software we have found that works for us. Before, it took us three custom spreadsheets, two software applications and a lot of time to dump all of the data into yet another software application, to keep track of all of our times properly for all of our various client projects. I love that they also have an expense and invoice feature, as well as a quick start-and-stop stopwatch. We've tried several of the others that claim to be able to handle what we do, but they've fallen short every time. Paymo hasn't and we've been using them for several months. What I love most are the super easy to create and simple look of the reports you can create. They even have a link to send the report to the client, which is so useful for us when customers are curious about their bill. I can say this software is great for teams as big as ten employees (could be more, but I can't attest to that as we are a small company). We currently have 20 clients and several internal projects, and it handles all of them seamlessly. We can assign and set hours to our employees and color code each project so you can quickly see what has been taking the most amount of everyone's time.

Comments: I've recently set up as a 3D designer working from home. As an arty designer type I really do not like the whole "paperwork, TAX, invoices, accounting" side of things but I realise that keeping that all in order is imperative to the smooth running of a business. I also need a good, quick and simple project management system. Paymo has fulfilled everything I could have wanted with my business. The less time I'm spending on the admin side of things the more money I can get paid for doing actual design work. I can't think of a better, more simple way of getting things done than Paymo.

Pros: Super simple. Does pretty much everything that you need to get done with the minimum of fuss. The mobile app is an added bonus for logging time whilst not at your computer. The way everything seamlessly ties in from timesheet to invoice, etc. One of the most important things to consider is the online support. With Paymo it is excellent, less than an hour usually and you have a reply - I can't stress the value of this side of things enough.

Cons: I had a slight issue with different clients within one company needing to be billed on the same job (2D work and 3D work). This isn't as simple as I'd hoped BUT there was an easy workaround. Expenses cannot be imported from Shoeboxed - but that's quite a specialist requirement.

Pros: I like Paymo's time tracking feature. It is very well built. My team is able to switch between tasks easily with its time tracking app. The time report feature helps us to do invoicing, general time tracking, etc.

Cons: I don't like how I can't set and filter tasks based on the tasks status. For example - tasks can have status such as "to do", "in progress", "revise", and "complete".

Overall: The ease of time tracking and invoicing saved us a lot of time.

Comments: I've been using Paymo for over 3 years, and I have seen the evolution of this app. They have definitely evolved with the demands of busy professionals, and have got to a point where the apps are not only easy to use, but with a fun interface. I have recommended Paymo to every person I can, and will keep doing so. The only downside is the price, which is way too high.

Pros: The interface is super easy and fun to use, and the unlimited project feature fits my needs perfectly.

Cons: I would like the task templates to be modified. Currently, I can add tasks and save as templates, but I would like to modify the templates and have this reflected on all projects. In addition, I have the paid version which allows me to have unlimited active projects, but I am not very happy with the price. I think the price is extremely high, even with the student discount. I would like to pay no more than 99 cents per month, and that would be somewhat fair. The reasons why I haven't moved to a free app (which there are a bunch out there) is because I already have all my projects here. Paymo used to be free for over 3 years, and then they decided to make everyone pay, even those customers who, in one way or another, helped them evolve and make it better.

Pros: The small price and big function. I went through a lot of options and free trials to find a project management tool that offers as much for as little. The time tracking and reporting work fantastic. They keep slowly improving and adding functionality.

Cons: There are a few minor glitches that really irk me from time to time but they are trivial. It doesn't seem like there is a way to set preferences for window views so every time I log back in I have to reset the view (shut off the archive items, set the view to go from newest date on reports, things like that). Nothing that has been close to a deal breaker for me.

Recommendations to other buyers: There are a lot of bells and whistles here that I don't even use and haven't ever explored - dig around. They have a free tier that lets you use everything and try everything for as long as you need to. It's well worth exploring.

Pros: - Being able to log the time and invoice clients in literally a click for the time logged for their project, for the specified rate based on flat fee, hourly rate by the company, user, or project
- Multi currency supported
- You can use Payoneer in addition to PayPal as a payment gateway
- Customer support is more than awesome, they're amazing!
- There's a community forum where we post ideas and improvement suggestions which are actually heard and worked on
- Client area supported so that the clients can also see their invoices and time sheets in real time any time :)

Cons: - Recurring tasks are not supported;
- No emoticons xD
- No sub-tasks
- Payoneer button for online payments looks very basic, it doesn't look like a button

Overall: SO much time saved, I got so many insights, my time is invoiced, my payments are being tracked, my life's got easier and my business more organized.

Pros: One of the features that I like the most here which I have not seen before in the tools which I used to work with is Gantt Chart. Thanks to this function I can see all the tasks on one timeline and bindings between them. The Kanban board realized quite well, nothing superfluous, just everything that you need for successful managing of your projects and synchronizing working process with all your possible partners. All the system decorated in a modern way and it is just a pleasure to work in it.

Cons: There was actually one problem recently. Sometimes I¿m out of range of network access and the mobile application allows you to work offline and after connection with the internet, it will just transport everything that you¿ve done to your system. But once it just disappeared, I don¿t know because of which reasons, but thankfully it never happened again.

Pros: We like most the ease to add clients, projects and tasks . Once setup assigning work to resources applying a budget and mark items as non-billable or billable is great. Following up with time sheets, time reporting and invoicing from with Paymo is a life saver as we now see missed revenue due to managing our time in Paymo correctly. Adding a Statement of work as a project, assigning tasks from the details SOW with billable and non-billable tasks, entering actual time spent allows us to generate an invoice for the SOW that does not affect other projects for the client. We are impressed.

Cons: Compared to the previous cloud previous tool we used there are no items that we find are hindering operating with Paymo. The app is very user friendly.

Overall: Managing projects from beginning to end, planning portfolios and associated revenue stream.

Pros: - Paymo comes with a nice desktop widget Paymo Timer (I'm using Paymo on mac) and another app called Paymo Plus which is really awesome. You can monitor absolutely everything you do with your computer and easily organise each task by drag&drop to each different project.
- Their subscription plans are really affordable.

Overall: I've worked about 9 years in a company writing down my daily tasks on a sheet of paper. It was a real nightmare. For my own little company I wanted to find an affordable, flexible and reliable solution to track down the time spend on different projects. We believe that being well organised with time is a major key to success. Time is money right? I've compared online apps like Paymo for quite some time and tested quite a few as well. Paymo has really all we need and it keeps improving. In the beginning when things were a little confusing, their support was always super reactive to help me out in less than 24 hours. I highly recommend Paymo.

Time tracking made easy

Comments: We've used all kinds of time-tracking systems over the years, but this beats all. All our project information, budgets, tasks & staff metrics in one place helps us not only bill time but also see how we're performing throughout the year in a clear, visually pleasing interface. The click & drag calendar-style time-sheet is way ahead of any other time-tracking SAAS providers that we've trialed and makes time entry & editing a breeze, which in turn ensures better staff compliance and readability for project managers. Roll-overs give additional depth to graphical data and reports help us customise the output of project data for different project team members. The secure portal for clients lets them see where their project is at without compromising privacy of our other clients. We haven't tried out the Zapier integration feature yet, but looking forward to getting Paymo talking to our other apps soon.

Pros: Graphical (calendar-style) time entry Easy to build reports Easy project, task & user management Modern, clear & appealing UI Zapier integration

Cons: No Xero support? (except through Zapier, which is an additional cost) Build in support for this widely-used app so we can get our time & invoice data directly to our accounts staff

Pros: Nice modern layout, good time tracking. Project management features are great, can bill by fixed fee or time, or even a mixture. Shows you unbilled time which is great.

Cons: Invoices don't integrate with Xero, which makes them kind of pointless because I have to recreate them in Xero. They help to track billed/unbilled time, but lack of integration is a huge disappointment.

Overall: I've tried almost every time tracking app available, and while the timesheets and time tracking aren't the best of others, adding project tracking, costs, invoices etc... it makes it stand out from all others. It is the most complete package for sure. I really wish they built in integration to Xero (not sure why this was dropped, the answers on this integration are vague at best).

Recommendations to other buyers: Overall, I still think this is one of the best time/project tracking apps out there. I think the cost is a bit high (an extra $10/month) for invoicing, but you can't go wrong with Paymo.

Comments: I am in the Software & Web Development industry and I need a tool for management my daily tasks, report hours and time tracking in order to have a clear understanding about how my projects are going on: progress, hours worked, tasks done, percentage of efforts in each task, and so on. Definitely, Paymo is a great tool for that purpose. Solved my need with excellence. Congrats to that team.

Pros: The User Interface is awesome. Very friendly, modern and intuitive. You get a whole view, graphically and textual, about what task you are doing in your projects and how the things are going. Obviously a good UI also comes with a set of features that does this tool a very useful tool to do task management and time tracking.

Cons: This tool is more oriented to project management in a general and administrative perspective (progress, tasks, hours worked, etc.) than a tool for manage the software development life cycle (Agile projects, and so on). If you are looking something for manage software projects using Agile methods, it might be not the right tool. In such sense is not like JIRA or Trello, for example.

Pros: I have everything I need in one app that is feature rich, but at the same time really easy to use. I go from sending estimates, to setting up projects, tasks, time tracking and billing (it is even integrated with Payoneer, so my clients pay me directly from the invoice!). I tried and tested and was using 3 apps to get all I needed done before I found Paymo. Now it's only one tab on my browser!

Cons: Nothing really, been using it for months and the more I use it, the more I like it! Comments: I am currently just a freelancer, so in that a one man company :) But my the amount of invoices and quotes I started to send out started to really pick up. Paymo made this process really fun, simply because I love data and tracking of how the business end of my projects are going. This includes a really well built in system to track the time spent on projects. There is even an app on android that syncs to my projects to do quick time tracking (there was an error and reported the error which got fixed in a day!) With this you get an desktop app which I am starting to use a lot, due to it even stopping when your computer is idle for 5 minutes, just brilliant! I now have data on invoices sent, payments received, by which companies, hours spent on projects vs income and more. This service has some downfalls and will list them but I think it is a extremely well built service and I am sure it will just get better as it grows. The only downfall that I can think off is that you can't have more than one user on a paymo profile sending out invoices, which is strange because I am sure there are companies that would like to give a few people the right to do this? Currently this does not bother me so much. Thanks

Pros: Task handling Apps for desktop and mobile Invoice management Tracking time spent on projects (then sending this to a quote)

Cons: Can't customize the email notification PDF not included in email notification Unlimited invoices only assigned to one person

Pros: - Unobtrusive, stays in the menubar, easy to reach, start/stop and select tasks. - Quick & very flexible reporting, ver neat to share with customers or keep track of things internally. - Easy invoicing - Time tracker also works offline - Collateral (personal) pro, it helps a bit with procrastination ¿ when the timer is ticking I know I have to focus. Then when I do something unrelated, I have to stop the timer so at least I acknowledge I'm side-tracking.

Comments: I've been searching the web for the perfect project management software for my needs and Paymo is spot on. I have my own design agency so I don't need a project management system bloated with features I don't use. Paymo is simple and has everything I need. I can even disable things I don't need. Many project management systems lack som basic "CRM" features like clients/contacts and notes/wiki. Paymo has both. As a small business I don't need all the advanced CRM features, I just need something simple to manage both projects, contacts and important notes. Combine that with a great user experience, simple but powerful features and a customisable interface and you have Paymo.

Pros: - All the right tools - Clarity - Great overview - Customisable UI (basic) - Easy to use - Desktop and mobile apps - Time tracker - Integrates with Zapier - Basic CRM features - Notes

Cons: - No kanban boards yet (will be released in 2016 though) - No contact categories (would be lovely to categorize contacts in folders like "client", "suppliers" and "leads") - Dashboard not customisable (will be released later in 2016 though)

Pros: It's easy to use and integrate with our other systems thru their REST API and Webhooks. It gives us a quick overlook of all our projects, invoices and contacts.

Cons: We are missing custom fields on the customers, and being able to put them into different categories depending on what services we are offering to them. Because if we had this option, then we would be able to use it as a lead tool as well.

Comments: I've used Paymo for my private company (over a dozen users) for a year and a half. It was a rocky start at first, but Paymo has done a great job updating the platform. We periodically review the new project management platforms and always confirm that Paymo is the right solution for us. There are other platforms that are better than Paymo at certain things but none that integrate everything - and the price is unbeatable. If you don't go with Paymo, you'd have to integrate a bunch of other solutions.

Pros: - all in one: time tracker, task tracker, project manager, budgeting, invoicing, etc etc - very responsive to requests/complaints - great pricing

Cons: - some other platforms allow custom branding - no sales pipeline or CRM

Comments: With having to manage all my clients projects, managing time is critical. Paymo allows me that opportunity!

Pros: I use the paid version because I have to manage a lot of projects and clients. So the good thing about the paid version is that it offers me unlimited project space. The time tracking widget on my desktop is effortless. And they are always improving on the app for business users. This handles every aspect of my project management needs.

Cons: I can't give a negative because I haven't found one since the upgrade and migration to Pamo 3. They solved all the issues I had with the newest version. And accessing support is never easier!

Comments: Excellent support first off. Next, killer UI. Paymo presents a plethora of essential features while retaining shear simplicity in execution. From my consumer research, Paymo offers more function and value for less than the competitors. I have relied on Paymo to simplify and automate my accounting and invoicing with over a dozen clients for the last 3 years, and never had a single regret about the service in ANY way. Happy to compose a 5-star review for the app which empowers me as an entrepreneur.

The Paymo time tracking is ideal for freelancers, who knows how many billable hours I lost before.

Pros: The Windows widget is fantastic, very easy to use. The integration between the widget and the online log in is impressive.
The customer service through phone or online chat is quick and helpful.
The focus is on efficient and complete time tracking. Other software seemed focused on making sure employees are actually working, but this is truly focused on making sure your time spent working is being captured so you can accurately bill for it.
Manually adjusting time at the end of the day is quick and very easy.

Cons: Same pricing structure regardless on the user (i.e. same pricing for each user whether full user, user only recording time, admin only doing billing, etc.)

Its been a swift yet smooth transition from another platform we were using.

Pros: Best part I liked about PayMo was the ease of use the interface allows especially with rich features to collaborate on Projects of all sizes. Also really felt great about the services support, I was exploring the reporting feature and needed some inputs. And was amazed to get the needed input very easily and quickly by PayMo experts.

Cons: The Task list interface especially when you want to assign users wasn't very efficient or easy. While selected different users the selections were getting removed. Also the Calendar tool didn't had Done button which was a apt addition.

Overall: Very effective Dashboard. Ease of collaboration with Team. Active Customer support and exhaustive features for Project manager of all sizes.

Pros: As a small business owner, it's important to price your work comparably. Many of us don't actually realize how long it takes to create something, or to finish a freelance job, so we undersell ourselves. Paymo allows me to track my time, and send those timesheets to the client. You can have multiple projects, which is great for me. I also use it for author conventions, to track my assistants so I can pay them within days of the event.

Cons: I do wish they'd bundle invoicing with the main free plan, even if that bumps it up a few dollars a month. There's no reason to have a system meant to bundle 3 products into one if you have to pay extra because some are 'add-ons'.

Comments: I really like the way it works, using the timesheet view where you can enter easily your time for different projects. There is also a very useful reporting function to send your time spend to all your clients. All the different applications for web, mobile, etc.. make it easy to view and track your time.

Pros: * You can create estimates for your work, turn that data into invoices and you can track your expenses. * design, usability of the webapp * automatic time tracking of the effort spent per project * professional and friendly support to their users

Cons: There is nothing I don't like about the application, the offered service works pretty nice!

Pros: It is a very inexpensive tool for the functions it has, since it not only tracks the time but also allows to generate reports, compare metrics, etc. I think one of the highest points is the user-friendly interface that you have, very intuitive and fast access to all its features

Cons: I think it fulfills the function without any problem, it is a reliable tool but above all practical. Perhaps as the only point to consider, it would be good to incorporate a special platform for managing reports and thus have the full spectrum of features.

Overall: Internally in my work we use it to measure how much time we use in each client since many of them ask us to quote for hours, but at the same time it helps us to understand how we divide our time in the office and optimize it.

Comments: PROS: I've been using Paymo for over 3 years, and I have seen the evolution of this app. They have definitely evolved with the demands of busy professionals, and have got to a point where the apps are not only easy to use, but with a fun interface. I have recommended Paymo to every person I can, and will keep doing so. The only downside is the price, which is way too high.

Comments: I've had experience with many methods of tracking project time and been frustrated by complicated apps that still don't provide enough flexibility to be useful. Paymo is easy to use and allows us to switch rapidly between projects without having a mess to clean up at the end of the day, or charging clients for time spent being interrupted.

Pros: Ease of Use, Flexible tracking methods, Quick switching between projects with plug-in apps.

Cons: The only con I can make is that you have to pay a small fee for it, but it's worth it. One great feature would be a multi-project tracking where time for more than one project could be split by percentage after the fact.

Pros: The ability to customize, create templates, and easily modify and share projects. I love the fact that Paymo is constantly improving and is very responsive to our needs and wishes for improvements.

Cons: The inability to integrate easily with other apps. This is the single largest thing holding Paymo back. Luckily, they are responsive and show efforts to make integration more widespread.

Overall: I've been using this product for a little less than a year and am 100% pleased with it so far. I've used a few other solutions that either had far too much or far too little or were priced out of my budget. I wanted a complete solution for a small business and Paymo delivers.

Recommendations to other buyers: Review all other software before choosing. Just because it works for my needs doesn't mean it'll work for yours.

Comments: Pinnacle Communications & Media Inc uses Paymo to track my time when working on multiple projects for multiple clients. It's given me an improved snapshot of how long things take, which will improve my estimating and bottom line. Pinnacle Communications does planning, research, writing, design and implementation for small business, government, and non-profit clients. We outsource some work to designers and web developers, who I coordinate, and often underestimate that time. We recommend Paymo to the designers as well. I also use it to track administration time, which helps me feel productive especially when I have fewer billable hours in a month.I plan on using Paymo to track time towards our own marketing goals.

Pros: -Desktop tracking and updating app makes it fast easy to add tasks for tracking "on the fly". The browser doesn't need to be open. -Useful to track internal, non-billables too, such as administration, and business marketing. - Customer support is efficient, timely, and friendly. -The dashboard displays my clients and billable reports in a nice clear, coloured interface.

Cons: I haven't tried the invoicing beyond the free trial, perhaps when our invoicing volumes increase.

Comments: I started a business earlier this year. I could not afford to pay for a time tracking app, but needed one because a lot of the work I do for clients is by the hour. I searched around for a free app, and found Paymo after trying a few others first. The others did not have the functionality I needed, or were too complicated to learn fast, or focused on the wrong things.

Paymo was the easiest to start using immediately and had the functionalities I needed. Even the free version of it had what I was looking for.

Actually, the app gave me more than I was looking for. The best part of it? It provides all the functionality you need but also doesn't take forever to learn how to use.

Soon, I will become a paying client, but I am writing this out of gratitude. I am amazed that Paymo offers a free version and it's definitely the one I will stick with when I can afford to start paying for the upgraded version.

I have also experienced excellent support. They are fast to get back to you when you need help, and they are effective. And I am not even a paying client - yet!

Pros: Straight forward the main tools that we were looking for. no complicatet options that nobody needs. there are clients, projects, tasks, time tracking and invoicing. yes other tools offer extended chat and communication options. our clients want the work done and not a chat report...

Cons: the time tracking on the smarthpone is not so transparent. you need to go to the projects to be shure you picked the right client. but maybee it is something we did not figure out by now...

Got our tasks and billing into the cloud affordably

Comments: We've been using Paymo for about 6 months now. We were previously using Billings (by Marketcircle), which was great for freelance, but not so great once our company grew to several employees. We needed something in the cloud that could sync all of our work across projects, keep billing in a central place, and easily track outstanding invoices. Overall we are pleased but certainly look forward to some improvements and flexibility enhancements.

Pros: We can easily track our time across multiple projects by multiple users. Affordable when compared to other similar platforms. Easy invoicing and billing tracking.

Cons: Doesn't connect with Square for online payment (such a great platform for small biz). Invoices and estimates section could provide better flexibility for design and layout. iPhone app can be a bit crashy. Cannot merge timer entries that are similar and should be consolidated.

Pros: Stopwatch/time recording feature. Works better on mobile and tablets than any other package out there. Overall price vs features is excellent with good work-arounds for the price conscious and a suite of everything you need for those with deep pockets.

Cons: They are still improving the software regularly and are a young company in Paymo's development. The most annoying thing to us was that task lists set up in workflow order on the PC come up in alphabetical order on mobile devices.

Overall: Transparency of time taken to complete regular tasks and easier billing method.

Pros: ease of use, fit my workflow

Cons: reoccurring tasks

Overall: I work as a freelancer in it, so tracking time and tasks for customers is essential, in every product i tried so far i find bugs or stuff which works not in that way i want to work. So i keep always looking for new tools.

With paymo it looks like i finally found one which fits me. A usable client for OS x and IOS was a must and so far i did not find any showstoppers and its pretty straight forward to track time and no delay tracking tasks ok they manage their tasks by themselves but other tools i have to wait 5 minutes to import them or their client is unusable or buggy.

Paymo is fast and has a simple workflow that is important for me, i don't need thousands of features and spend ours tracking time and tasks so it fits for me.

Only which i did not find yet are reoccurring tasks, that would be an improvement.

Overall i am really pleased with it so far, hope it stays like that.

Pros: Paymo is user friendly, allowing the entire team to be able to use it with ease especially team members who are not as organized as others.

Cons: Unfortunately it is not possible to export a gantt chart. For our company exporting gantt charts is a must as more often than not clients wish to have a view into the timeline of a project.
It also lacks the ability to create sub tasks which would be very helpful as it would keep tasks and tasklists more organized.

Comments: The Paymo app delivers what it promises. As a free-lance graphic designer, I needed a tool that could perform multiple tasks at the same level as a much larger organization: project management, time tracking, estimating and invoicing . The Paymo app allows me to easily perform these tasks and present professional customizable documents to my clients that align with my brand. Feature highlights: The tracked time easily converts into an invoice that can be emailed to a client. The invoice can be synced to a pay pal account allowing the client to pay the bill online. The invoice includes a built in status alert which allows you to track client activity on the invoice. Another benefit of the app is it can be used on multiple platforms. I have used the system for several months now (on my windows, android, and apple devices) and only once had to contact tech support. When I did I received help in a timely manner. I highly recommend this app.

Pros: Tracking time feature is great. Fast task select, one click and it's done. Timesheet are also great feature, easy to manage and see what I've done.

Cons: RWD on my phone doesn't exist. I couldn't use webpage on my phone (Xiaomi Redmi3, Google Chrome) and need to switch to Desktop mode (still, I couldn't use it as I wanted to). Also when I'm adding Task title/description, it saves only after closing window by myself. If I close it via chrome tab, it will disappear (annoying).

Comments: We were after something that tracked the time and activity of us and our staff, without taking unnecessary time to record that time. This has been vital to our stability and growth, which would be a much harder process without a tool like Paymo. There are many similar tools out there, but Paymo is the one that suits us best in its ease of use, support via customer service and forums/info, and prompt response to feedback. It's worth thinking about what you'll need from it, now and in the future, when setting it up, as it can take a little while to get right, but it has definitely been worth it for us. Really handy bits (for us) include the widget, the colour coding, the milestones (and other parts of the dashboard) and the reports (still getting my head around how to get the best out of those, but huge potential). There have been a few glitches from time to time, but nothing hugely disruptive and the support team were always keen to help.

Comments: When another app I was using ceased to exist I was desperate to find an alternative that had the same features without a big price tag. I was happy to find Paymo as it met that criteria. The automatic time tracking is hugely important to me (who has time to click timers on and off?!) and the interface is user friendly. Invoicing is also easy, with the ability to invoice all unbilled time or select a time period, and it automatically suggests adding any expenses you've recorded.

Pros: Automatic time tracking, easy invoicing, unlimited projects at the $4.95/mo plan

Cons: It's an additional $9.95/mo to create more than one invoice monthly. As an individual freelancer with only a few clients I'd love a plan that offered up to five invoices for a smaller additional monthly fee - maybe another $4.95/mo - rather than having to jump to unlimited for $9.95.

Paymo made our day to day work days easier.

Pros: The timer is the best feature in Paymo. It allows to hit start and stop once start working on a project , therefore it is easy to capture hours spent. The fact that those hours can be amended is another beauty of this feature.

Cons: So far I don't have any problem with the software since I am only using this software for less than 6 months.

Comments: I recently became a paid user of Paymo - using it about a month now -- I like it. The set up was really easy (started off with the free trial) - they give you a walk through tutorial that is really helpful. The user interface it pretty intuitive and I will say friendly. I did have a question that I posted to their chat support - they answered by the next morning. From what I understand they recently went through a big UI over haul, so I think as they get feedback they improve more and more -- which is nice to know they are working on things. The only issue I had was -- I was hoping there was a way to set an hourly rate per client. They only offer it per project currently, which is not a big deal, easily worked around. But the BEST FEATURE is the dashboard -- I LOVE seeing how I am progressing in my hours for the week/month. So helpful. I think it is a really good option for the price.

Comments: Great program, I tested various software and no answer my management needs and control that intended, the PaymoApp was the one who managed. Additionally the "time tracking" is the best we could find to control the production, running in the background, and only associate the task to the time it is automatically counted! With time and use, the metrics become important management indicators! I strongly recommend.

Pros: Useful dashboard Easy to use Time tracking

Comments: I have been using Paymo for over a year now and have not found a better PM program. We have periodically tested out several other programs, but have yet to find one as comprehensive as Paymo. It has an easy to use framework and I love the many integration features. They have also done a great job of listening to user suggestions and adapting their program accordingly.

Pros: Easy to use, great value for the cost, always improving.

Cons: Lack of tagging ability.

Comments: I've been testing and using different platforms during the last years, including planbox, wrike, producteev, activecollab, asana and and others (some years ago I even build my own PM application). But Paymo absolutely stands out, it has a complete set of feature, much more cheaper than wrike and with an awesome support. The application is fast, intuitive, includes time tracking per task, and even a desktop application for unnatended time tracking. The only missing feature frmo my point of view is know what the other team member is working on! But you know what? Is easy to request new features to developers! they are always listening for suggestions! this is the best and most important piece of software for project management. PERIOD!

Pros: Great time tracking, good organization of tasks, invoice support, increidble good support, fast and always online

Cons: Need to improve communicatino between members, need to improve streams of activity, would be really cool to know in which task another team member is currently working and for how long.

Pros: Simplicity, click and you can start or stop the task you want to work on.
The dashboard is really interesting and it captures the best features all in one page.
The fact that you can choose from so many invoice options based on country specifics also makes this amazing.

Cons: Sometimes cache is not refreshed accordingly, but that can easily be fixed, on page refresh it's alright, so I would not say it is an actual issue.

Overall: Everything I was looking for

Comments: Our company is growing everyday. We are faced with more and more project. PAYMO is THE app when you want to manage your time. I recommend it without fear to all my relatives and professional contacts.

Pros: The support is very excellent. Each time I had a question, I receivend a answer within a couple of hours. If you are looking for a solution to manage your projects and control their costs , Paymo is really the ideal solution. I recommend it without fear to all my relatives and professional contacts.

Cons: what could be improved would be to create a type of project that could be useful as "contract of service" with a certain amount of hours in credit. This would be useful for our company.

Pros: The reports are great, they help you to clearly see the time spend on projects and tasks.
Time tracking available from desktop and from the mobile app helps us track the time spend on tasks with real ease.

Cons: The only thing I would improve is scheduling (to make it as in real calendar) with specific hours not only a day. But it's a minor. Overall feeling is great :)

Overall: Clear and easy tracking of the time spent on projects within the company.

Comments: I've been using Paymo for years to keep track of projects and hours for clients, employees and myself. I have to say that I really really love it. It's easy, efficient, organized and detailed.

Pros: The reports are great. The user interface makes sense! The mobile app is amazing.

Cons: I think it could be even easier to use! Less steps involved in creating and selecting tasks, etc.

Pros: I love the templates that it lets you create and add to projects.
Ultimately Paymo saves you an incredible amount of time. It allowed us to move from 3 separate apps for tracking hours, tasking, and project management, to just using Paymo.

Cons: The biggest con for me is the lack of a more comprehensible "tasks" dashboard.
I wish there was a better way to track incomplete tasks that are directly assigned to you.

Comments: After trying over 10 apps, i chose Paymo. Easy to use, covered everything i needed (unlimited clientes, projects, tasks, reports and monitor time both on laptop and ios app) and the pricing is affordable for an independent or start-up. I also found that I could translate invoices and estimates into my local language with no hassle. I highly recommended to those starting solo or small businesses. Trust me, 4.95/mth for unlimited projects is hard to find elsewhere.
Pros: Pricing Excellent customer service Easy customisation and interface Awesome reports

Cons: Rollover time from project to project. I work on different projects for the same client and sometimes they ask to take time budgeted from one to the other and i can do it manually but would love to be able to just transfer that time with a click!

Comments: I have a small business, and I use Paymo to track the time my partner and I spend on different projects. I've also used it to track my non-billable hours just to see where I am spending my time. I haven't yet sent an invoice from Paymo, but I plan to.

Pros: The timer is really nice so that I don't have to remember myself how long I worked on something, but I can enter time manually into the timesheet as well in case I forgot to use the timer. I like being able to quickly choose the projects and tasks I'm working on and also write notes about what I'm working on.

Cons: Right now I am using a free trial, so I have two users. I wish It didn't cost an extra $5/month for another user AND $10/month for more than one invoice. I need only two users and will probably send around 2 invoices a month, but that adds a whole $15/month - $180/year, which I probably won't do.

Comments: The organization of the app is awesome. You can easily find everything you need: clients, projects, tasks and invoices. And you can do a lot of things without open a lot of windows or refreshing the page.

Pros: Organization, native mobile app, price awesome, colaboration.

Cons: Don't have a Gantt chart yet and could have a calendar just for tasks.

Comments: Pay helps me to keep tracking of my working time so I can make the invoices faster and more accurately. It is also a good help to manage the different projects and tasks

Pros: Easy and accurate time tracking. It also allows to share the time sheets with the customer.

Cons: Task management is not so agile as I would like, but it is improving.

Comments: As a Virtual Assistant for many different clients on a day to day changing basis for taskzz.com, I have found the Paymo app invaluable. I started with the free version but as my client list grew so did my needs. Paymo provides time sheets detailed reports and a timer I can set for individual projects that automatically adds the time to my sheets and reports. (and I can also track and get paid for my own time) Right now I have seven different clients I preform different tasks for every day I can label the tasks and provide the client with notes and reports as to what the time was used for. It¿s so easy to use! It frees up time for me to focus on the projects instead of trying to keep the time on a difficult to understand spread sheet. Thanks Paymo!!!

Comments: I'm the director of SpaceOffice, a small (but very busy) architectural practice. It goes without saying, tracking time spent on individual projects is essential. Paymo makes it a breeze

Pros: Clean and intuitive interface. Plenty of functionality. Very easy to deploy.

Con: On the Windows version, the Paymo timer can track against 'file in use'. If you use a project reference in every filename (as we do) it makes it a breeze to apportion time to each project. The Mac version only tracks against 'app in use' and that doesn't help when I am (often times) working on several AutoCAD drawings (files) at the same time. Hopefully something Paymo is working on. That's the only niggle I have, otherwise it's great!
