June 10, 2015 5.0 I've had experience with many methods of tracking project time and been frustrated by complicated apps that still don't provide enough flexibility to be useful. Paymo is easy to use and allows us to switch rapidly between projects without having a mess to clean up at the end of the day, or charging clients for time spent being interrupted. Pros Ease of Use, Flexible tracking methods, Quick switching between projects with plug-in apps. Cons The only con I can make is that you have to pay a small fee for it, but it's worth it. Although I do not use all its functions (e.g. accounting), it has proven to be a "must-have" for my professional activity. I really appreciate customer support - all queries addressed over time have received prompt and useful response. The price is competitive and the budget options provided are highly appreciated. I warmly recommend the software. I also love the option to fill-in time both bulk (e.g., 2 hours) and by hours (12:00 - 14:00). My clients really appreciate this kind of transparecy. Pros It is a very inexpensive tool for the functions it has, since it not only tracks the time but also allows to generate reports, compare metrics, etc. I think one of the highest points is the user-friendly interface that you have, very intuitive and fast access to all its features Cons I think it fulfills the function without any problem, it is a reliable tool but above all practical. July 19, 2015 5.0 Pinnacle Communications & Media Inc uses Paymo to track my time when working on multiple projects for multiple clients. It's given me an improved snapshot of how long things take, which will improve my estimating and bottom line. Pinnacle Communications does planning, research, writing, design and implementation for small business, government, and non-profit clients. We outsource some work to designers and web developers, who I coordinate, and often underestimate that time. We recommend Paymo to the designers as well. I also use it to track administration time, which helps me feel productive especially when I have fewer billable hours in a month.I plan on using Paymo to track time towards our own marketing goals. Pros \-Desktop tracking and updating app makes it fast easy to add tasks for tracking "on the fly". The browser doesn't need to be open. -Useful to track internal, non-billables too, such as administration, and business marketing. - Customer support is efficient, timely, and friendly. -The dashboard displays my clients and billable reports in a nice clear, coloured interface. I got hooked back then, then fell even more in love with it when Version 3 came out. I found it when looking for a time clock tool. I run a small business that is hourly contract based, so I needed something to allow me to track multiple employees (users), and the time being spent on contracts. Paymo fit that bill very well. The invoicing features are awesome as well. Project Management is not really its design focus, however it does have a pretty robust setup that is more than adequate. You can track clients, projects and tasks with fairly decent organization. Some detailed reporting and a few light dashboard graphs top off a nice package. Pros Invoicing (custom templates, recurring invoices), Reports (customizable, very detailed), Time Tracking (detailed time sheets, detailed timer widget, summary graphs, mobile app, best I've seen), Support (support is email based, however is maintained through an in-page chat type format, making it very easy to communicate with support, and they have pretty quick response, usually same or next day.) Cons Really not much to say here. These guys are emerging into this market, so every once in a while I encounter a bug or so. Sometimes they are slow to get them fixed. I could not afford to pay for a time tracking app, but needed one because a lot of the work I do for clients is by the hour. I searched around for a free app, and found Paymo after trying a few others first. The others did not have the functionality I needed, or were too complicated to learn fast, or focused on the wrong things. Paymo was the easiest to start using immediately and had the functionalities I needed. Even the free version of it had what I was looking for. Actually, the app gave me more than I was looking for. The best part of it? It provides all the functionality you need but also doesn't take forever to learn how to use. Soon, I will become a paying client, but I am writing this out of gratitude. I am amazed that Paymo offers a free version and it's definitely the one I will stick with when I can afford to start paying for the upgraded version. I have also experienced excellent support. Fast task select, one click and it's done. Timesheet are also great feature, easy to manage and see what I've done. Cons RWD on my phone doesn't exist. I couldn't use webpage on my phone (Xiaomi Redmi3, Google Chrome) and need to switch to Desktop mode (still, I couldn't use it as I wanted to). Also when I'm adding Task title/description, it saves only after closing window by myself. If I close it via chrome tab, it will disappear (annoying). June 8, 2015 4.0 I've been using Paymo for over 3 years, and I have seen the evolution of this app. They have definitely evolved with the demands of busy professionals, and have got to a point where the apps are not only easy to use, but with a fun interface. I have recommended Paymo to every person I can, and will keep doing so. The only downside is the price, which is way too high. Pros The interface is super easy and fun to use, and the unlimited project feature fits my needs perfectly. Cons I would like the task templates to be modified. Currently, I can add tasks and save as templates, but I would like to modify the templates and have this reflected on all projects. In addition, I have the paid version which allows me to have unlimited active projects, but I am not very happy with the price. I think the price is extremely high, even with the student discount. I would like to pay no more than 99 cents per month, and that would be somewhat fair. The reasons why I haven't moved to a free app (which there are a bunch out there) is because I already have all my projects here. Paymo used to be free for over 3 years, and then they decided to make everyone pay, even those customers who, in one way or another, helped them evolve and make it better. Review Source Jeppe S. I have my own design agency so I don't need a project management system bloated with features I don't use. Paymo is simple and has everything I need. I can even disable things I don't need. Many project management systems lack som basic "CRM" features like clients/contacts and notes/wiki. Paymo has both. As a small business I don't need all the advanced CRM features, I just need something simple to manage both projects, contacts and important notes. Combine that with a great user experience, simple but powerful features and a customisable interface and you have Paymo.
