I'll be sticking with it for the long term. Pros Paymo is super intuitive and easy to use. It is inexpensive and it has so many features. It makes things easy when tracking your time and importing it into an invoice. I like that you can track in real time and do manual time inputs. May 22, 2018 5.0 Paymo makes tracking time a breeze with great management features and role capabilities. Absolutely love the granular control on the reports and ability to manage users, projects, tasks and more. Support has always been super helpful - only contacted them twice in the last 4 years though...so that should say something. Shop approved! Pros We've been using Paymo in our web development shop now for years. We love the time tracking widget and always have it up on our desktops or phone to track the time we spend bouncing from project to project. Forgot to turn off the timer? No problem - can easily fix it and be on your way. Setting up projects, tasks, user management - all a breeze. The Paymo team keeps coming out with new features and what used to be just a time tracking tool is now becoming a full on project management tool. We're actually looking to expand how we use Paymo very soon... Cons For how we're using it right now, we don't use all the project management features and have found that PaymoWidget 4.0.19 actually works better for what we need presently. Its simplicity makes it easy to learn and implement, and when you compare it with more specific tools, it saves you a lot of time Cons As every other one-size-fits-all solution, Paymo doesn't excel on any of the tasks it covers. Of course managing projects thru an specific task management will be ultimately better, same as with invoicing, but it would require dedicated manpower taking care of those as well. Paymo compromises specificity for ease to use and maintain, so you'll have to adapt processes to Paymo and not the other way around. Paymo is not integrated with asana, we use Asana for task management and instagantt for gantt, and we have to copy task from asana to paymo. Asana is easier to use for managing tasks Reason for choosing Paymo Initially for the price, but the price increased in time! Pros I really like the Paymo Track time management tool which can sync with my desktop apps. The small widget allows me to track time while also having other work on the screen at the same time. Being able to have a way of tracking time which isn't on another browser tab is invaluable to me. Cons I find the way Paymo Track clumps together some of my tasks on the timeline view hard to use. I often have to switch tasks quite regularly due to the nature of my work so this makes it a bit harder sometimes for me to allocate my time to the appropriate client. Review Source EC Ethan C. I use it every single day and can't imagine running my freelance business without it. Pros Paymo makes my day-to-day life easier by keeping all of my time-tracking and task/project management in order and in one (easy to navigate) spot. Cons While every now and then I run into an issue in the app, their customer support is TOP NOTCH and they are always improving and updating things to better the user experience. March 15, 2024 4.0 Overall it's been easy to learn and use from a management point of view, and allows for an organized task management view. Pros The interface is simple enough to be able to track time appropriately, and while it may take a little bit of time to get used to it, it feels intuitive enough. Creating and assigning tasks is also quite easy to do, and the possibility of different visualization formats enhances the overall experience, for example, some people on the team felt more comfortable with Gantt, others with the calendar, and it works in a way everyone can easily understand. Cons I've been using it a few months, and have already experienced a couple times when the app was down, which has a big impact in the company, since our work is hourly-billed. These issues resolved quickly, but it has happened more regularly than I would like. Another thing is that the integration with Slack is a bit shallow, only notifying about tasks but not detailing and not allowing the user to manipulate Paymo from Slack. Pros La versión desktop es una herramienta muy rápida, con buscares muy potentes y la UX muy bien trabajada. Y para la ficha del proyecto hay muchas opciones para su gestión, así como la API. It allows you to monitor your budget time of the project specifically. On top of that, you can review your work efficiency with full time sheet record. Cons Sometime the website is abit lag. For example, the project/task is selected wrongly due to lag/delay problem on website. However, I am not sure if this due to script issue or office network issue. Pros Paymo is super easy to use, and setting up new clients, projects and tasks is very simple. Cons I probably don't take advantage of all of the features of Paymo, so there's no cons for me as I only use the time tracking and reporting features. We couldn't run our business without it and the bank of data we can access from archived projects is invaluable when we come to assess the viability of new book projects. Pros The ability to manage and track time is essential – it's very powerful. Cons Not possible to change hourly rates and retain archive rates for jobs. You should at least be able to see the card information. Sometimes if multiple people are put on the same card it is annoying if the card is in process if you are not yourself active on that card. Also all the cards that you are tagged in, do not show up to your own task list.
