Paymo excels as a comprehensive project management and time tracking tool especially for freelancers and agencies handling multiple clients and projects. The user-friendly interface makes it easy to navigate thorugh the app, and learn how to use it in minutes. The best feature is the ability of granularly keeping track of the profitability of a project at task level. The balance between simplicity and advanced functionality is well-maintained. The ability to assign tasks, monitor progress, and generate detailed invoices all within one platform saves significant time and effort. Additionally, the Gantt charts and Kanban boards provide great flexibility for visualizing project timelines and workflows.

Cons

The mobile app, while functional, feels slightly less polished compared to the desktop version, and certain features, like time tracking, can be a bit cumbersome to use on smaller screens. The lack of subtask feature is a big issue for managing complex projects. Additionally, while the reporting capabilities are good, they could benefit from more customization options to accommodate diverse business needs.

Always loved using the tool, and happy with how it met our needs. Nearly tripling the price to continue using it as we had for years prior was not acceptable to us.

Greatly increased their pricing (nearly tripled) as features were added. And they limited how much historical data could be held in the system unless we signed on with the price increase. The additional features were not needed by us, so the ability to continue to use the tool and to have continued access to the data we had saved to it were held hostage to agreeing the price increase, even though the service we need did not include any of the new features.

Pros

From beginning to end of project management, you have a software that allows you to build your dream as you see fit. Scheduling, Invoicing, time cards, all in one place.

Cons

Some apps that are more specialized may have additional features your business may need. Investigate first to identify nonnegotiables here, or potentially be disappointed.

It’s great for small teams and has a user-friendly design. Although it might not fit larger teams, for small teams, it simplifies project management and helps keep everything organized.

Pros

Paymo is user-friendly, so I easily manage tasks, track time, and handle billing without needing to learn complex features for my small team.

Cons

Paymo is best for small teams, so it might not be as suitable if your team grows beyond 20 people. This makes me wonder what i will use if I hire more employees, but we shall cross the bridge when we reach there.

Satisfied and haven't used a similar tool since i started using Paymo.

Pros

Tracks time like nothing else, i can export my monthly reports, has a lot of filters all in one tool

Cons

Sometimes seems like a minute overlaps and pushes the task aside even tho one ended an another began next minute (we are talking about 15min rounded time)

Pros

As an end user for Paymo, I cannot stress on how easy it is to log time for tasks and send that for invoicing. It has made me and my team become incredibly efficient in understanding our time, figuring out roadblocks and solving issues faster.

Cons

I did not know that paymo had a desktop app, it gets a bit cumbersome to use the web version.
