We used rotacloud and left due to the HR provider having their own rota planner, however this was short lived and we soon came back.

RotaCloud was a game-changer for our business when it came to scheduling our labour across multiple sites each week. The system is good value for money, easy to navigate and on the rare occasion that we have had to contact the team our issues have been resolved quickly & professionally. I would highly recommend for any business.

Pros

The ease at which we can schedule our working week. Working in construction things often change at the last minute and RotaCloud allows us to make changes at the drag of the mouse. Viewing the weekly schedule in one screen allows us to keep on top of our planning.

Cons

We probably don't use the system to its full potential, but what we do use I have no complaints or issues

working out different levels for the team and integrating into payroll but once i had it explained to me it was very simple

Very good. When there have been issues the chat is well monitored and knowledgeable. Price is very good.

Pros

I reviewed and used for a period countless rota software and found RotaCloud the best for our needs in terms of ease of use functionality and price. It has everything that we need, rota, payroll, staff holidays, personal details and a log book for noting all staff issues

Cons

Probably nothing. Have asked that sick days be included in the payroll download but this is a minor issue.

Very good and straightforward, the software is user friendly, value for money when you consider the time savings on planning rotas, and the customer service is great.

Pros

A time saver, straightforward scheduling software that allows the team to view shifts, request to change them and teach their annual leave. From a business perspective it saves hours of juggling rota planning, has a nifty document sharing and storage facility and builds in coatings for shifts. This allows forecasting of shift costs and supports budget setting, and reduces the time taken for working out staffing costs.

Cons

I don’t have any dislikes but would love to see more HR functions in the app. For example; template onboarding documentation.

I use it every day it every day, it is easy to use and secure, I like the feature that uses all employers email to email them all together with information that you want to know.

Pros

Easy to follow and easy to use also it is quite secured not too hard to add employers and names to it.

Cons

You can not print a specific section of the page that I want to print. Also When you approve the shifts if you have other department open, you approve the whole lot even if another manager using that page.

Overall, my experience with Rota Cloud has been excellent. It has significantly reduced the time required for scheduling and rota management.

Pros

It has greatly improved overall efficiency within our team. The staff always have immediate access to their shifts, which has made communication clearer and far more reliable. It is an excellent tool that has made a real positive difference to how we operate.

Cons

There is nothing I dislike like about Rota cloud There is nothing I would change either.

Pros

Simple and intuitive. Customer service is very good, it’s easy to ask questions and get an answer. My staff like it and we manage quite a complex rota system with it.

Cons

Would like the option to add sleep shifts for carers within a late/sleep/early and different rates of pay for each section

I cannot fault the system it does work flawlessly and they are open to ideas and try developing them so I couldn't ask for more great team doing an amazing job well done guys

Pros

It seems to be one of them products that I want you have tried it you don't realize how much you needed it and then if you try stepping backwards are not using it going back to your old way you soon miss it all the information seems to be there when you need it stuff I responsible for their own clocking in and out and any issues that I have had with it I've been user errors even though I have annoyed the rotacloud team thinking it was some glitch and the fact that staff can request their holidays in advance and it stops of spotting them into them shifts

Cons

The only issue I find is when I do need some advice on their live chat it seems to be out of business hours and I think by the time most business owners get chance to do anything it is out of business hours especially smaller businesses

Reason for choosing RotaCloud

Simplicity and ease of use the fact that the staff are responsible for their own clocking in and out the fact I don't need paper anymore

Overall a very positive experience. We get a lot less mistakes with the clock in and outs compared to our old system, which means that it's a lot quicker to do the sense checks and approve time sheets each week prior to payroll.

Pros

Ability to easily schedule shifts and share these shifts with employees. The clocking in terminal on the ipad makes it very simple for Employees to clock in and out for breaks and when they arrive and leave with minimal mistakes.

Cons

Would have preferred either fingerprint or facial recognition for verification of employee presence at the clocking in and out terminal. Also, the fact that you can't edit mistakes on things like peoples break clock ins / outs until the end of their shift is quite annoying.

Reason for choosing RotaCloud

Pay Escape wanted a lot of money up front, compared to £0 upfront from RotaCloud. They were also quoting 3 months to get setup and going (later reduced to 1 month as I' d expressed concern). I really can't see why it would need such a long setup period. I tested RotaCloud and got the basics setup within a couple of evenings so that I could have a play around with the functionality, and it was clear it was going to do what we needed at a fraction of the cost.

Pros

It is easy to navigate and make changes to rotas. It is easy to set up new staff and services.

Cons

It can sometimes be slow and sometimes we have to refresh to bring up the correct rota.

I love Rotacloud - it has totally transformed the stressful relationship I previously had with rota planning and timesheet management.

Pros

It is intuitive and really easy to use, and is packed full of useful features.

Cons

It is hard to find fault with Rotacloud, really. Since I apparently have to write something here, I would say that I wish it was a little harder to accidentally make changes to rotas once they have been published (being able to "lock" a published rota would be great, for instance).

Amazing, so easy to use and from day one the system has been unmatchable in our opinion.

Pros

Simple to use, and any issues are address or suggestions for changes are always taken onboard

Cons

not so much a dislike more a feature I would benefit from is if there was an option to bulk print rotas, for example we post our rotas 4 weeks in advance (they get posted due to this being the preference as they are not good with technology) at the moment I have to print every individual locations Rota for every one of the 4 weeks and doing this for everyone is just so time consuming, so if there was a way to bulk print chosen locations from a date to date that would be very beneficial but other than that I have no dislikes about the system at all.

I love Rotacloud, it is the best business decision I made and both myself and all my staff love using it. For me, the owner, being able to see actual time worked, length of breaks, sickness time all in one place has been and it has made holiday request controlled and organised. The staff life the fact they can check their rota anytime, anywhere. The can request holidays, view holiday availability, add notes to requests and have a record.

Pros

Rotacloud is very easy to use for a non tec person like myself. The online customer support is great and tips and advice on how to set up. You can navigate the system, amend and update without interrupting your final reports. And for me the ease of final wage reports has reduced hours of painstaking worked for me at the end of every month

Cons

The only thing I would like is to be able to add my own selections in the drop down menu- Holidays/sickness etc as some book out time is specific or important for my business so would be bespoke to me. But that is literally the only thing I can think of.

It has really helped me in tracking my employees working hours and even monitor their absence. It makes it easier to understand my employees shift costs and manage them well,it's so amazing.

Pros

It is a very easy to use tool and I use it for arranging shifts and recording time. We no longer worry about staff looking or staffs showing up for the wrong shift, RotaCloud has our back. For the beginners this is what you need for effective in your work. It drives the productivity and efficiency of my business.

Cons

I haven't encountered major challenge so far.

Great - staff starts and finishes, holiday accrual - vital. Ease of use. Just a really great product.

Pros

UK based- rapid response to queries. Very user friendly - extremely reliable. Employees can use it easily. Easy administrative function. Multiple sites and roles and staff can be managed.

Cons

Staff have to use 'Other Leave' for appt requests or shift swaps. Maybe a different tile? Not sure what. 'Request' - don't know

Reason for choosing RotaCloud

Uk based - seemed smaller - was based in Yorkshire - I think new grads who were enthusiastic and when contacted always an immediate response. And it is a jolly little user interface and easy to use and oddly flexible.

The cons I describe above are really small, and are 'enchancements' or dev requests more than problems. I could not run this business without RotaCloud!

Pros

Being online means I can create rotas at home or work, and the app means team can access their rotas in the way that's easiest for them. I like being able to copy a shift from one day/person to another, and being able to copy a week's shift from one week to another. The reporting is good also, enabling me to do payroll easily.

Cons

A few things are bit fiddly and could be improved. 1. having to change between publish mode and rota mode. it would be better to be able to publish a week with a button, or a right click for just one shift. 2. it is cumbersome having to create holidays in a different screen. it would be better to be able to do it from within the rota screen. 3. if I'm creating a rota for next week, and then navigate away to, say the holiday screen, when I go back to the rota screen it will go back to THIS week not the week I was editing. On more than one occasion I haven't spotted that and erroneously then edited THIS week instead! 4. it would be great to be able to include paid leave in the report so that I know to include that person's day in a pay run. At the moment, I have created a role of 'paid leave' so that their holiday hours get included in their hours for that week 5. I like being able to see how many shifts a person has for that week (ie in a row) but it would also be helpful to see how many shifts are logged for each day (ie in a column).

Rotacloud provide me with great customer service when I've needed to reach out to check different access levels or if i've ever had any queries I couldn't manage myself. They're always friendly and polite and help me within a really quick timeframe which is amazing. Everything on rotacloud is very simple and does not require a lot messing around on the system and is straight forward for every employee to use.

Pros

The software is easy to use, it's easy to manage your employee's scheduling and whereabouts daily, even able to separate them via their teams and view as a team. One of the easiest online systems I have used. Also really like the report format of Rotacloud so that took a huge part of my day back being able to run reports easily via rotacloud.

Cons

Not being able to share the teams holidays with individual teams as each team would see every employee's holidays not just their own team.
