It is an absolutely great product, easy to use and when I get stuck always quick friendly advice. I use it every day and couldn't run the business without it. I have not tried other products in this field but I haven't had to because it does almost everything I want and with the regular updates I am sure the things that I might want will come sooner or later. I wish all software companies worked as well as the Rotacloud team do.

Pros

Easy to use, useful updates of things that you didn't know you needed but end up using all the time

Cons

I haven't really got any dislikes. It does what it says.

Really, really good - so glad we chose RotaCloud instead of other products we were considering

Pros

It's so easy to use and has so many features and benefits. The support staff are fantastic too, always super helpful and very quick to respond to questions or queries. The online library of help articles and videos is great too.

Cons

Can take a while to get to grips with as it can do so much, but that's more a personal issue than a RotaCloud one

I cannot fault the system it does work flawlessly and they are open to ideas and try developing them so I couldn't ask for more great team doing an amazing job well done guys

Pros

It seems to be one of them products that I want you have tried it you don't realize how much you needed it and then if you try stepping backwards are not using it going back to your old way you soon miss it all the information seems to be there when you need it stuff I responsible for their own clocking in and out and any issues that I have had with it I've been user errors even though I have annoyed the rotacloud team thinking it was some glitch and the fact that staff can request their holidays in advance and it stops of spotting them into them shifts

Cons

The only issue I find is when I do need some advice on their live chat it seems to be out of business hours and I think by the time most business owners get chance to do anything it is out of business hours especially smaller businesses

Simplicity and ease of use the fact that the staff are responsible for their own clocking in and out the fact I don't need paper anymore

Got fed up of manually putting information on and staff having to be notified and staff not keeping correct time keeping records if one piece of paper goes missing it seems to add hours on to your workload whereas router cloud has all the information that your fingertips ready

I love Rotacloud, it is the best business decision I made and both myself and all my staff love using it. For me, the owner, being able to see actual time worked, length of breaks, sickness time all in one place has been and it has made holiday request controlled and organised. The staff life the fact they can check their rota anytime, anywhere. The can request holidays, view holiday availability, add notes to requests and have a record.

Pros

Rotacloud is very easy to use for a non tec person like myself. The online customer support is great and tips and advice on how to set up. You can navigate the system, amend and update without interrupting your final reports. And for me the ease of final wage reports has reduced hours of painstaking worked for me at the end of every month

Cons

The only thing I would like is to be able to add my own selections in the drop down menu- Holidays/sickness etc as some book out time is specific or important for my business so would be bespoke to me. But that is literally the only thing I can think of.

Its a really good system for our venue (performing arts) that is popular with all our users. The support is quick, helpful and friendly.

Pros

Very easy to use and is popular with our full-time staff and our freelance and casual staff. Easy to see who is called and when and what work they are going to be doing.

Cons

The desktop interface could do with a bit of updating to show a bit more information and some different options (views) for how the information is displayed.

We all (full-time staff, freelancers, administrators) preferred the Rotacloud experience. It was more intuitive, easier to use and there were no missed shifts. In Planday employees couldn't turn down a shift and this is really important to us as we use a lot of freelancers.

### "Easy start up and basic function "

I will continue to use it, I do like it, I have to say the price hike has given me somewhat of a reflection to have a look elsewhere, but I am still happy with the product itself

Pros

It’s very easy to access, simple tasks are fundamentally accurate - it does take a little bit of working out to begin with - but once you’ve got it it is very simple, Rotas are easy to understand, colour coding for staff positions make the opening page very easy to quickly check when necessary

Cons

The price fluctuates by how many staff you have, which many others do, but I did find a little issue when starting up, quoted one price - charged another as there “was a price change between quote and start up” this was rectified - but then I had to pay extra for some optional features that I had initially been using and had thought were as standard.

Happy to have found and decided to adopt this software, best decision ever. Only when you have struggled with rota and keeping track of employees' attendance, that's when you appreciate more the ease of implementation and use of such a tool.

Pros

Fresh, easy straight forward to implement and use. Keeps all in order and helps with employee attendance performance, scheduling, reporting and more.

Cons

Nothing in particular. Every business is different and has different needs.

Pros

Excellent system, easy and intuitive to set up and manage. Managers love it, staff love it - 24/7 access to rotas & for submitting vacation requests, live updates straight to their phones - and we love it for it's ability to have timed clock-in/out, attendance records, etc for HR management. Saved us so much time and stress, and well worth the investment. Fingers crossed - also not a single glitch since we started using it, c/w 99% of all the other apps, software, systems we use in the business.

Cons

Please add 'Sick Leave' and 'Unpaid Leave' as options in the Edit Shift pop-up on the rotas page!

Reason for choosing RotaCloud

Looked at several, but ultimately RotaCloud came highly recommended by staff who had used it in previous jobs, while others we were advised against. Price was competitive too.

overall perfect i even recommended it to our sister hotel rushton hall and they have the plan and already in process of starting it up.

Pros

holiday requests/ leave. doing the rotas in general.

Cons

if rotacloud also had a finger print system that could link straight up with the cloud based rota would make it a complete system to use and make payroll huge, i do not like the clock in and out on mobile devices because sometime staff can get away with alot of things.

All the features are easy to use, nothing is over complicated. The customer service is really fast and problems are solved usually within a matter of minutes

Cons

Just a few extra features to be added to the reporting like having the sublocations listed so I don;t have to manually search to find out where someone works.

Time saving, and therefore cost saving from a wages point of view. Much more efficient management of holiday allowances and leave requests.

Pros

This software has been great for us and moving to it, from pen and paper, was the best decision we ever made. We have most definitely saved time in both writing and administering rotas, and the app means that all the staff know when they are expected in work without being able to say they hadn't been told! It is generally really easy to use from both a Manager and Employees point of view. The customer support is excellent, with questions being answered very quickly through the online chat facility. This is also great as it means you have a record of the conversations so if you need to refer back to something later on then you are able to do so. We manage two sites and 6 rotas in total across the business with nearly 100 employees. Being able to manage the leave through rotacloud has proven far more efficient and ensured that we are not in danger of finding ourselves at the beginning of December with a lot of holiday to make up with staff - something that seemed to happen every year historically.

Cons

There are some quirks which I would love to see ironed out. The 'Availability' function cannot cope with both ongoing requests and individual requests at the same time which is really frustrating. The majority of our crew are casual employees who have ongoing commitments as well as one off commitments so we have had to come up with a workaround to enable them to add all of their availability without the danger of some of it being missed. It would also be useful to have an easy way to see, and reinstate, past employees. With a very transient workforce, often away at university or travelling for long periods, we don't want to keep them on the system but need to be able to reinstate them when they return. I currently do this via a link but an easier way would be better.

It is hands down the BEST thing we have ever decided to do, when you run a service that needs operational staff 'on the floor' you need to be able to get your rotas out to staff in the most efficient way possible and rotacloud delivers this, we manage the teams annual leave and subsequent cover shifts and also monitoring spending on casual/part time staff.

Pros

The ease of creating a rota and publishing new shifts for cover.

Cons

So far I have not come across any cons with using this product.

Fantastic, as mentioned fantastic value for money and gets the job done! Some fantastic features and also the customer support service is world class.

Pros

My main pro about this software is that it is fairly straight forward to use and has lots of great features including the capacity to clock in and out, put in leave requests and generally build and manage rotes. And it is exceptionally good value for money.

Cons

I don't really have any issues only suggests of what should be added. As the business owner, manager of my company and also an employee elsewhere that uses another software similar to this there are a few features that could massively improve rotacloud. I have listed my suggestions below; - Messaging capacity - team should be able to message each other, their department, managers etc. - Leave feature isn't as straight forward as could be. - Team should be able to just put a days request off in and select the actual times they are requesting off whether it be 10am-5pm (college, uni) or all day as currently all leaves go on like booking in a holiday. - PLEASE ADD A DAILY LABOUR CARD REPORT!!! - this should include two sections am and pm that shows you who is on what shift, what department and any open shifts. - I am desperate for this feature as I currently create on myself so I can easily look in front of me as to who is working when. This report should also show each team members weekly hours, overtime highlighted in red, and a summary of the daily labour costs. - LOOK at Hot Schedules as their daily labour report is fantastic.

Brilliant. We have seen RotaCloud grow and constantly improve with new features. Rotacloud remains simple to use and as our go to rota/time keeping software.

Pros

Very adaptable to our working patterns across the whole business. Provides instant transparency of hours, shifts, holidays and reports to both administration and our team.

Cons

Be useful to have budget forecasts split between teams, so easier to manage at a smaller local level within one physical location.

Pros

Good to be able to copy shifts forward to cover future weeks. Easy to swap staff from one shift or role to another.

Excellent. 5\*! It has improved our scheduling process, tracking employee absences, employee records significantly.

Pros

Ease of use, simple and effective, employees find it very easy to use and use/follow for scheduling which is great. Love bulk editing on scheduling. The ability to be able to edit employee files with ease, add files, send memos etc.

Cons

Phone app isn’t as good / easy to use as the desktop app. Has improved with each update / release but desktop is still ultimately better / much easier to use and phone doesn’t support some features.

Demo’s and testing were completed and ultimately RotaCloud was the best platform for our business and needs.

Rotacloud provide me with great customer service when I've needed to reach out to check different access levels or if i've ever had any queries I couldn't manage myself. They're always friendly and polite and help me within a really quick timeframe which is amazing. Everything on rotacloud is very simple and does not require a lot messing around on the system and is straight forward for every employee to use.

Pros

The software is easy to use, it's easy to manage your employee's scheduling and whereabouts daily, even able to separate them via their teams and view as a team. One of the easiest online systems I have used. Also really like the report format of Rotacloud so that took a huge part of my day back being able to run reports easily via rotacloud.

Cons

Not being able to share the teams holidays with individual teams as each team would see every employee's holidays not just their own team.

To be honest we can achieve maximum productivity with minimum wasted effort or expense. It's very easy to use & the staff are always there on the chat to help in any way they can without too much of a wait. Very Very good support with online support. Very quick to get back to you if a problem. Always asking for feedback and trying to add to package with new things to help business.

Pros

It is such a helpful software system. I used to use a paper diary as I couldn't afford to trust using Google diary. It's a very clever system and reasonably priced. I don't need the payroll bit just timesheet and rota's but it works very well for me.

Cons

Unable to get a signed timesheet on it but that is about it. I run a Dental Nurse Agency which 'employs' Dental nurses on a self employed basis. So I don't need payroll.

Price at first but then it is such an amazing system I would recommend to anyone looking for a rota system.
