Sales & Marketing Used the software for: ### "just started using this a few days ago and so far it seems very easy to use and move around in" February 1, 2016 5.0 I demoed a variety of take-off packages and for the price this one seemed to be the best value for what we were looking for. The software is missing some features (like an arc-creation tool and ability to add custom extensions) that I saw in other, more expensive packages, however to be fair these packages were at least twice the price of ActiveTakeoff. Overall I'm very happy with the program so far, and when I do have a quesiton or concern, the responsiveness of the customer service has been fantastic. Review Source RLL Ricky Lininger L. Some of the little annoyances, and they are indeed minor are likely just a matter of me taking time to learn more of the little things that make all the differences. Customer service is fantastic. Jiraud always gets back to me very promptly when i have any queries, and is happy to assist in any way. We continued to go back to Active Takeoff since it was easy to use. After chewing up a couple hours on training with others, we felt this product better suited our needs. We were able to install and get to work right away. On top of this, the price point has the competition beat ---- by a lot. Help file is abysmal. Extensions are there, but aren't explained very well. One of the only takeoff programs I've found that can actually record wire drops and rises throughout the run. Pros It has electricians in mind. Can record wire runs and has a better organizational structure than Planswift. Cons Doesn't have a very detailed help file. May 8, 2017 5.0 Pros \+ Much simpler to use than AutoCAD, for roof takeoffs + Allows the use of the right-click button + Allows the storing of templates, to save more and more time with every takeoff Cons \- Can't rotate objects - No arc option - Cannot resize the Legend -Can be a bit annoying when trying to get the lines straight, should incorporate the SHIFT button like Illustrator does.
