After trialing a large number of low-code software, this option was a clear winner due to the customizability of apps and compatibility with wordpress.

Pros

Fully featured software. Rock-solid infrastructure. There is few things that we have found can't be done with capsio. Any additional features can be custom developed. Unlimited users, unlimited tables. Dataviews can be purchased cheaply. Specialists also provide very helpful 24/7 live chat support.

Cons

Storing 10,000+ of photos inside the apps can become a bit expensive.

The overall experience has been great. We would rank Caspio as a top 5 vendor that we utilize to build and support small business apps.

Pros

The platform has been very reliable and stable. It allows for rapid application development and proof of concepts.

Cons

Issues with Caspio have been very very minor and I'm really not comfortable pointing out or digging for something to not like, but if there is one thing, the marketplace and barcode scanner POC that cost a lot of money, did not work as expected and getting support for it meant I would have had to engage professional services and pay even more.

### "Caspio not living up to their agreement"

They have unlimited users HIPAA compliant

Cons

We got a contract with Caspio to move our auditing program to their program. We gave them the current system we use and all the bells and whistles we currently have they said they can do it and that it should be completed within a couple months. The program is not complete yet. They are claiming we changed what we wanted when we did not and they currently have the google sheet which has all the coding we want except for the auto emails and texts to personnel. They are trying to charge us more now to do what they already agreed to do and they will not return our money. Do not use them at all please!!!

I'm sorry that we didn't meet your standards, but the signed agreement clearly states that the estimate provided is "subject to change for a variety of reasons including changes to the scope, and as details are discovered during the process." Since signing up with us last Feb, we've held weekly meetings with your company to review the scope and requirements of your project. Your project scope has changed on 3 occasions and this has led to an increase in the number of development hours required. We have emails, call recordings, and signed proposals, including from the CEO of your company, agreeing to the proposal and the scope included. Finally, in response to your comment: "User-friendly but does not allow for unlimited users". Caspio is proud to be the only no-code/low-code company that offers unlimited app users for its customers. Nevertheless, we'll consider this as feedback as we continuously improve our onboarding experience.

Excellent service. Excellent staff and customer support. Very helpful. Offer an NGO discount to non-profit users. Easy to use product. Extremely flexible and easy to change.

Pros

It is very easy to use, and has a relatively simple learning curve. It is flexible for different use cases. It has made a huge impact on our ability to increase monitoring and evaluation of our services, capture and analyse data and produce reports for internal quality management, as well as donor reports. The record level security functions allows us to be compliant with South African legislation about privacy and access to data. Previously we used multiple Excel spreadsheets. With Caspio, everything is in one place, accessible by all staff and easy to export and to link different tables and datapages.

Cons

It would be very nice if they gave non profit clients a larger NGO discount or more data pages in the package. The product is excellent. However, money is very tight these days. Having said that, the product is still the more affordable option when looking at similar products.

Caspio delivers a powerful no-code platform that enables non-technical users to build custom, database-driven web applications. The drag-and-drop tools, built-in database, and robust form/report creation tools make it especially valuable for business teams that want to digitise workflows or manage data without waiting on IT. We appreciate how Caspio shortens development time, reduces dependency on external software developers, and allows rapid prototyping and iteration.

Pros

Beginner-friendly. If you want to build your company's database without coding, it's a good platform. We can create automation with a bit of learning and guidance. I appreciate that they offer readily available training courses on YouTube, and their support team is fantastic.

Cons

Pricing is considerable for small businesses. Limited UI customisation without having a person to do the CSS/JavaScript. Unable to integrate easily with AI. Their in-house AI is limited to per record at the moment, unable to be used to analyse and critique a group of data.

My experience with Caspio is very positive due to its ease of use, but this is further improved by the very positive and helpful support staff and the range of support documents and videos

Pros

The application builder very easy use, so the learning curve for new clients is very quick. The cost of the product is also very reasonable considering the power and functionality that it provides to the end user

Cons

Whilst Caspio are actively working on a new modern interface to the PaaS product some of the older wizard interface screens are a little limiting in terms of what you can see on the screen even when using a large monitor, but this is a very small point compared to its overall power

Overall, it's been great. I don't believe we'd be able to find a more effective solution for the app that we've built on the platform. Balance of cost, platform performance, level of support and features is unparalleled.

Pros

The flexibility of the platform, and the support offered are generally outstanding. The customer success team are generally very attentive, and the support team are normally always quick to respond, and very helpful to provide examples on how to implement solutions to specific problems - they are always quick to understand the problem and offer suggestions. The platform performance is great, and it is very flexible - not having any limitation on number of users for the portal I've built is great and a differentiator of Caspio. Also I think generally it is quite competitively priced.

Cons

There are a few features I'd like as standard which aren't in my plan, but it is easy find work-arounds as the platform is so flexible. I couldn't find a Caspio standard way to make a menu for my app, but it was easy find some code to do that - incorporating other HTML code into Caspio is very easy and makes it a very powerful platform.

Very good. Several years ago I searched for similar capabilities across multiple vendors and found Caspio to deliver good mix of database function while 'hiding' enough database technicalities to enable 'low/intermediate' coding support.

Pros

System is always available. Technical support is very responsive. \[sensitive content hidden\] how-to videos are very good.

Cons

Pricey for a one-user subscriber. Would like ability for 2-way data exchange with LLMs - including Gemini. By this I mean ability to have Caspio pass textual data to an LLM and receive LLM results back (via API / MCP).

Been using Caspio for arounds 6 years within the business, created various solutions, support ticket platform, audit tools, reactive maintenance database. Support team are amazing, I can raise a ticket out of hours and get a response the same evening.

Pros

Very flexible solution, quick to deploy a form or survey. Branding and styling very simple. Support team accessible via chat and ticket system, very quick to respond with solutions and working examples. Regular updates to the platform with detailed videos showing new features. Cost effective solution for varied needs within an SME

Cons

Not being able to send file attachments when sending an email based on a triggered action, hopefully this might change soon.

Caspio have delivered 70% of my development usage. The next 10% hope to see Caspio able to connect directly into data analytics sofware. The last 20% able to develope into a native mobile app.

It's flexible and versatile tools. I able to build application and collect data records easy and quickly.

Cons

I look forward to the integration for Caspio tables to connect direct into Microsoft Power BI in the future. This has been a long wait for some time already.

We collect data from a variety of customers and generate benchmarking analysis. We used Caspio to not only collect the data and manage the data process, but also have created a management backend to control our internal processed to create custom reports. The workflow capability automates a lot of work for us which has improved our productivity (for example, automatically sending status reports for review).

Pros

If you have a group of Access gurus, you can master Caspio. The applications allows you to take your database applications online very easily, but also provides a high degree of customization (using JavaScript, CSS, and HTML) to build full applications. We replaced manual, inefficient processes with online workflow-enabled applications in very little time.

Cons

There are very few features that I do NOT like. This is just a great application and we have used it to automate our remote processes, collecting data online and the management portals to run our business.

I think Caspio capability to build dashboards are very limited. The Caspio platform does not yet offer dashboard features that Power BI and Tableau can offer. Additionally, it takes a lot of efforts to build good looking user interface. It will be great if more features can be available to build great user interface faster.

Really, genuinely, excellent. My Customer Success Manager, in particular, has been exceptional, over a number of years and each version of the product brings useful features

Pros

Caspio isn't just about product. It's about the people who work there too. I've been a customer since 2012 and have been consistently impressed with the product offering and the support.

Cons

For a while, there was no way to pay in GBP, only dollars. This was a frustration but I understand this has changed.

Caspio’s been a big help for us. It’s made it easier to build what we need without relying on outside developers. It’s not perfect, but the benefits definitely outweigh the downsides.

Pros

Caspio has really changed the way we work. It's easy to use, even without much tech knowledge, and it’s saved us loads of time by helping us move things online. The customer support is great too – quick to respond and always helpful when we get stuck or have new ideas.

Cons

Some parts of it feel a bit outdated, and a few features take a while to figure out. It can also get a bit pricey if you need more users or extras.

Overall an amazing product. With just a smattering of IT knowledge (and a steep learning curve at the beginning) you can produce a stunning result. Caspio support has been outstanding, always ready to help us acheive our goals and very tollerant of our close to zero IT skills.

Pros

It is generally quick and easy to get changes (and additional needs) up and going. We have a very comprehensive system that interfaces with staff and customers internationally all developed with CASPIO. To purchase the same system using conventional design/programming was, cost wise, way out of our reach as a small business.

Cons

We find information presentation for the user (staff/ customers) that looks professional very difficult to achieve - content is there, but its not pretty. We do not have competent programmers on the team to cut code. So,we have to design output (layouts) with Caspio limitations in mind ( so, we cant start from ease of use from the user's perspective).

### "CASPIO for small office applications"

I am overall pleased as a database platform. It has allowed me to develop applications that are being used daily by two small offices. Like any development, there are always bugs that I need to work out due to my mistakes, as CASPIO has proven to be fairly stable. When I have encountered issues that are not my fault and come from CASPIO, the ticket system has helped resolved. Currently, I only have one ticket and feedback is that bug was found and will be fixed in coming release or so. This is a minor bug dealing with formatting of tables, hence able to wait.

Pros

I like that this is a low code platform, but with the right experience and level are able to take advantage of building blocks like HTLM where script can be merged. This really expands the capabilities of some basic applications. For example, I am able put in CSS and Javascript to provide access and provide buttons to the the correct members. Overall, CASPIO is simple to understand as it relates Table data to a Datapage.

Cons

It is a bit pricy and the biggest issue I have is data storage. As a database it is great, although it has a limit in records that I think is low compared to price. But this data records can be overcome and if need pass on the cost. But the data file storage is very limited. This reduces my capability in being able to provide my customer with applications that also manage their documents. I had the need to use other solutions for data storage since my customer needs to upload files for their clients and would quickly run to the limit of 10GB. One important think to consider is my business case where my clients require retention of data for at least 7 years. If they use 5 or around that GB per year, the 10GB will not hold and buying more from CASPIO is expensive. Note: similar to this is the SMS but not to the degree of data storage. For SMS, I have opted to integrate with Twilio as the overall price for number of SMS made more sense.

Found it more aligned to the database control style I was seeking while also providing deployment capabilities that were good fit.

### "They care about money - not customers."

I wish we never started with Caspio. Outdated calendars, charts, other data pages. App Extensions are a pay wall for features that should be standard. No data usage reports, unless you pay. They advertise no code, but show pages and charts on their blogs with custom coding.

Pros

It is easy for basic forms and database management. Things like quick contact forms and newsletter sign ups would be ideal. Anything somewhat complex will definitely require custom coding.

Cons

A lot of promises that are rarely delivered. This is not a no code platform. You need to have a real developer on the team if you want to produce good applications. The Sales and Accounting is sketchy, the Account Success Managers are sketchy... the best part is the live support. Everything else is below par. They do not update their standard features and they increase prices all the time.

My overall experience with Caspio has been absolutely wonderful and extremely favourable, and I would never consider leaving Caspio except that if the cost of maintaining my table was too costly for me. I am very, very proud of how Caspio has been able to tailor my table needs to the precise and exact style of what I want, and what I want my clients to learn from exploring the table. My table is modern, accurate, colourful, precise and as I have said I am very proud of it. I am also very conformable about the high level of security which Caspio Bridge provides for my table. Security of my table is very important to me. Thank you.

Pros

First, I am extremely pleased with the affordable cost of Caspio Bridge provided to me by Caspio which allows me to continue my historical research and record my work on a table which is open to all of Canada as well as the whole world. I am a senior citizen with a limited income so the cost is very important to me. Secondly, I sincerely appreciate the dependability of Caspio Bridge because my table has never failed my thousands of clients. Since I first started with Caspio many years ago, my table has never failed. Thirdly, I value the dependability of Caspio Bridge support including the expertise of \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] who have the ability, knowledge and skills to improve the performance of my table. I am amazed how technicians including \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] are able to resolve every little glitch which I encounter. I am very appreciative of their service, professionalism, and friendship.

Cons

I can only think of one issue, and that is the complexity of the 'styles'. This is one area that I always need help with as the learning curve about 'styles' is too steep for me. In the case orf 'styles' I always ask for and receive help from Caspio, and I thank you.

I have always enjoyed using Caspio to build for software solutions for clients. Whenever there is an advanced feature I need I can alays find the answer in Caspio's help center and forum.

Pros

Employees of businesses can build out customized software solutions in just a few steps. Learn to use Caspio in a short time using Caspio's learning center. Create a database that fits the specific needs of your business. Build out datapages to add, edit, and visualize important information.

Cons

Caspio can be a little to costly for small businesses or startups looking to utilize all of Caspio's features.

### "Good... but very basic."

Like driving a forklift down the highway. 'This would be fantastic for something completely different.' What it would be fantastic for is a web based alternative to Microsoft Access. What I tried to use it for was creating a commercial subscription web-app.

Pros

Caspio is great for applications meant to be used internally in an organization to help manage operations. Its similarity with Microsoft Access makes it familiar and its compliance with security standards make it ideal for managing customers and patients without the hassle of maintaining your own IT. I like the support.

Cons

It's easy to do basic database stuff like forms and reports, and nearly impossible to do anything else. The lack of design tools is really frustrating. You can use their templates, but you can't make your own. Don't expect to build a site with a custom UX.

### "Caspio for Mid-Sized Businesses"

I really love Caspio, The Customer Service is wonderful, it is an easy application to get up to speed on and provides so much benefit. There are so many ways you can use Caspio to implement projects -- the ideas are endless.

Pros

I love that I can use Caspio to create and develop my own applications, forms, and data dashboards with no IT involvement. It helps me get projects completed and out to employees. Most importantly, it helps me get my job done!

Cons

I wish the data entry backend was a little more flexible and easier to use (i.e., moving columns around, going from field to field, ability duplicate data, etc.)

I have been very happy with everything over all. This has transformed the way we do business.

Pros

I really like the ability to create and implement apps with very little code but love that I am able to make many customizations by adding some code.

Cons

It is hard to say what I have liked liked least but right now my biggest challenge is keeping my deployed datapages to below 100. I keep thinking of new things I can create and impliment.
