Senior UX Designer Design Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Well designed lightweight mobile survey tool" November 27, 2018 5.0 Our agency uses Typerform for many purposes including quantitative surveys, research participant screening and recruitment, workshop feedback and public workshop registration. In addition to the standard "pull the data into a spreadsheet" we use Zapier to integrate it into Airtable (an online database) that supports our public workshop registration process. Pros It is easy to create surveys and you instantly know how they will look like. Survey work great on mobile. Surveys are easy to brand. Easy to create custom scales (such as ;( :( :) :D) using smilie images. Cons There aren't many advanced survey features and thus Typeform isn't that great if you intend to do heavy-duty sociological surveys. Review Source Dawn O. Digital marketer Marketing and Advertising Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Powerful form/survey builder with a slightly high price tag" December 12, 2022 5.0 When I first used Typeform, it was refreshing to have a full-screen experience, especially when it comes to customer satisfaction surveys. However, as time went by, there are more copycats, but they somehow managed to do better than Typeform. Typeform is still among the best out there but they need to innovate faster. Pros Robustness in features, native integrations, overall UI and UX, and performance in both an embeded form and full-screen experience. Cons High price tag for rather basic features, but not too bad if you have larger volume requirements. Typeform doesn't allow for a regular form style for slightly simpler needs, so that's a bummer too. It doesn't have many secrets, anyone who accesses it can handle it easily! The automation when creating forms is also a differential, the suggestions of question templates are spot on. Cons It could have more features, especially for customizing the forms. Drives people to give genuine responses. Pros 1\. Extremely easy to make. We just need to keep typing and the website automatically anticipates question and choice of responses. 2. Engages the audience with conversational surveys; Excellent design features; layouts are compatible with mobile, PC, tablets. 3. Can make the respondents upload files as attachments to an answer. 4. Can apply Forward Logic to generate next questions or survey endings basing on the inputs provided to previous questions. Cons 1\. Its a very expensive product and doesn't offer multiple versions to cater to the needs of various types of users. 2. Collaborative work for building surveys isn't possible. 3. It has enabled us to inform our future strategy as well as make some immediate decisions about what activities to prioritise. Pros I liked how it was easy to set up an run a survey. I particularly liked how it was simple to add routing and conditions in your survey to get more accurate and tailored responses. I also liked the ability to personalise it and add our own company branding. Cons There is nothing that I have found so far that I dislike about using this software. This works properly. Pros It's super easy to set up and customize a survey. You can change quite a lot of things with a few clicks. Also, the data collection is easily done with this tool. Cons I once tried to create a survey in which visitors would have to choose among a range of images. To avoid statistical bias I wanted my images to be placed in a certain format/layout. However, this was not possible in Typeform. I could make the order random, but I could not change the visualisation itself. That was why I could not use Typeform for that survey. Pros It was quite simple to use and to create the forms and to deploy a survey with it. Important to mention that it is easy to connect with other platforms through API Cons In fact it is a good tool, but you can find similar features for free, so I would not say that there is something bad on this software beyond the question of price. Really like the new direct integration with Google Sheets. Cons I really, really wish I could embed an entire form view on a webpage. It's a major downside to this product for my team, and our use cases. I've had to deploy other form builders on our website, and would much prefer a Typeform. Pros We like the way it integrates so easily with our website and gives us the option to embed it in numerous ways. All the data can be distributed easily by forwarding onto multiple email addresses but also by linking it to other 3rd party apps such as Slack etc. Cons It was a quite a steep learning curve in order to set the forms up etc but is has since become easier when they updated it this year. I highly recommend Pros I like how it takes forms and turns them into steps. It provides an engaging user experience. Has multiple uses from leads gen to qualification to survey to pricing form. Pros This software is very feature-rich, and the amount of time you spend figuring out how all of those features work is in proportion to what you get out of it. There are so many things you can do – link videos from YouTube or Vimeo, add a background image with variable opacity, use hidden fields to personalize surveys, generate reports, etc. I am still trying to figure out how to integrate with Zapier, Excel, and others. The customer service is light-speed, with great follow-up. Even the icons on their website look nice. Cons There was a little bit of a learning curve, and at one point, there were 3 of us crowded around a computer for 45 minutes trying to get one thing done. It is true that users don't need any programming experience, but the hidden fields feature was a bit confusing. Once you figure it out, however, you can use it to customize your surveys without having to enter each recipient's name manually. I would like to see videos be able to be embedded without going through YouTube, and they said they are working on it. Review Source TH Tim H. No need to bug designers or developers to "make it pretty." Pros The interface is sleek and nice. Absolutely love it. I'm usually embarrassed by the design of "out-of-the-box" form solutions, but Typeforms always look GREAT. Cons Functionality is a bit lacking. Other form solutions tend to have more smart logic built in, but between their Zapier integration and baked in functionality, it still does 99% of jobs. Review Source AL Amy L. I certainly enjoy its design and the approach of making a form work as a conversation, even for our use case (capture leads). I absolutely recommend Typeform. Pros Beautiful templates, elegant display, form flows, integration with Salesforce and Calendly, fields with data validation, easy to embed in websites. Cons It doesn't integrate well with scheduling tools that are not Calendly, the user only have the option to create forms with one question per page. Review Source Naveen D. Thanks to the Zapier integration, very easy to auto-populate submissions into Google Sheets or other third party applications. Cons Reviewing responses within typeform requires a lot of clicking to get to the right location. Ease of use and visual experience is lovely, though the design options are limited. Where Typeform shines is it’s analytics and integrations. Its detail is top line for the price. Cons It hard to find fault with Typeform. Price is a little high for our usage. Wish they had a lower monthly price for infrequent users. Also, the design parameters and fonts are somewhat limited, but not enough to stop using the product.
